"Boasting a pair of cozy parlors, porch and backyard seating, and a calendar of community events like tarot readings and macrame workshops, this is a true coffeehouse in every sense of the word. In addition to the customary lineup of house-roasted brews, it’s known for its Venetian Cream and its Zodiac drinks: For the “charming and diplomatic” Libra, there’s a rose-vanilla iced latte, while spiced mocha with white chocolate awaits the “idealistic and fiery” Scorpio." - Ruth Tobias

"Quince Essential Coffee House, a little escape off East Colfax, is a literal home-away-from-home for its neighbors. Occupying an old house on a residential street, it’s a multi-room trove of quaint and colorful charms, cluttered just so with local paintings, knickknacks, board games, and potted plants. The front porch is ringed with tables for basking in the sunshine; the backyard beckons with seating, a hammock, and a fenced-in coop where ducks and chickens roost. Some coffee shops are all about the art of the roast; Quince Essential is all about heart." - Ruth Tobias

Google
Oh my gosh, this place is fantastic. Google maps brought me to the tire shop on the next block, which was not helpful. This coffee shop is on Quince St, which should be pretty self explanatory, probably, lol. It's SO CUTE in here!! Back yard (dog friendly) is also really cute, partially covered! Lots of patio space! I ordered the Sagittarius specialty drink (dirty chai with hazelnut and toffee) AND I'M NOW COMPLETELY OBSESSED - IT WAS DIVINE. Ma got a white chocolate cinnamon mocha which was also super good. Employees were friendly, vibe amazing. And they have gluten free pastries!

Google
Great queer and women owned coffee shop. I had their pumpkin spice latte and it was legit. They have lots of couches and a huge outdoor area. Great place to come with pets or kids/children. Their quiche is pretty good as are the breakfast burritos. There's a small parking lot as well as neighborhood parallel parking. When I went at 10:30 a.m. on a Sunday I easily found a spot. They have lots of fun mugs and fun stickers you can buy. They also have a lovely sign saying they default to using they/them pronouns and I found that refreshing.

Google
OMG this place is so awesome!!! Vegan burrito, tons of coffee options with alternative milk. Cozy, chill space but a couple different rooms to divide pockets of people and conversations. Funky art everywhere. Great local small business, go out of your way to support them instead of Starbucks! Tastes way better too!!

Google
After a whole week of work, this place seemed perfect to me to relax during my weekend with my girlfriend and a delicious coffee. The coffee is very, very good. I recommend it.

Google
wow okay, the libra latte was super yummy/floral, vibes were quaint & cute. glad my partner showed me this spot.

Google
Great place good coffee, good pastries. Struck though by the comparison with the cost of coffee and a pastry in Italy it’s about twice as much here.

Alisa Oswalt

Google
Funky artsy coffee shop - great for hanging out and getting a snack. Gluten free pastry options and dairy free alternatives available. Dogs welcome on porch and out back. Restroom is available, and friendly service. A printer is also available. Free parking.

Google
This place is the total best! I love the delicious drinks and food here (love the specialty lattes and breakfast burritos in particular). There are so many spaces here to hang out and do work or chat. I also think it’s so great that they support local artists!

Yelp
Denver has a ton of cafes and from the handful I went to, Quince takes the cake! Great service and a warm, welcoming vibe, what more can you ask for? They even have a punch card! The service at cafes was a little lacking everywhere else we visited but not here! The barista who helped us was great (w/ glasses and a shaved head), friendly and made conversation. I got the sweet potato latte and it was delicious. Not very strong with the sweet potato flavor but worked nonetheless. Got lucky and came when they had a halloween event and got free stickers. So cute and wish more places did this.

Yelp
Kitschy, charming coffee shop with a wide array of beverages that aren't lacking for any preference. Despite usually being an Iced Americano person, generally sans anything but sometimes with skim milk, I ordered the salted caramel cinnachagaccino here as it struck me as unique and different. It turned out to be pleasing and flavorful but not overly sweet. Food-wise, I was a bit less enthused as the dish I had ordered, a slice of almond cake, was lacking on flavor and texture.

Yelp
Ummm, obsessed What a perfect coffeeshop. Whether you are looking to get work done at a table (they have outlets!), cozy up on a couch with a friend or partner, or sit outside and soak up the sun - on their porch OR spacious backyard - Quince has you covered. The coffeeshop itself is the first floor of an old Victorian and has so much character; from the furniture to the artwork (some for sale), it oozes personality. Staff is very friendly and attentive and it is clearly a safe space for LGBTQ+ folx. Now, the coffee. Yum! They have an extensive menu of specials, going beyond coffee concoctions. I had a dirty chai with some flare then an Italian soda with passionfruit and watermelon - both were very good. Their food menu consists of burritos (potato and egg was a win), muffins, and some pastries - they even have gluten free options. Really, this place is a gem. Added bonus? They have a parking lot!! I'm so happy to have checked Quince out. Will absolutely be back - often.

Yelp
Lovely coffee shop with beautiful pieces of art adorning the walls, and a warm inviting atmosphere that's inclusive to all. I've never been the type to be a regular at a coffee shop but I think this might become a regular spot for me. I really enjoyed their pumpkin spice coffee, and as an ex Starbucks barista, I pretty much hated pumpkin spice, but this place really changed my mind. The coffee itself tasted great but the addition of their pumpkin spice puree made it even more special and amplified the nuttiness of the coffee, and had beautiful notes of cinnamon, nutmeg. I really like this place and I really appreciate it when the employees are kind and genuinely seem to enjoy being there.

Yelp
We came for our first visit. Plenty of parking available. The inside looks like a home converted into a coffee shop. My wife likes that more than I do. She gives 5 stars, I give 4. The customer service was good. The drinks and food were excellent. We enjoyed our speciality coffee drinks. The burrito was delicious with salsa. The muffin was tasty and so was the ham and cheese croissant. They had custom jewelry, art, and more for sale. The different rooms of the house-shop offered places to sit. We may come back for more in the future. Prices are fair.

Yelp
This is a cute coffee shop! It is set up so that it feels like a house. It is very homey and cozy and has different rooms that you can nest in and relax. The vibes were really comfortable and it is definitely somewhere you can go for a low-key meet up with friends, or a cozy work remote situation. The latte that I had was a sweet potato pie latte. It was tasty, but I didn't taste much espresso. It tasted mostly like milk. I would have loved if it was a little bit stronger. But I was still impressed with the flavor and how they created such a unique latte. Next time I would ask for a double shot and see how I feel. They had a variety of pastries and cookies and snacks. I ended up getting a pumpkin pie cookie. It was a little bit too sweet for my liking. But they had so many other options that looked like it would've been a hit. Overall, this was a standard coffee shop. I would return in the future and give some of their other things a try. They had really great service and the folks working there were really kind. If anything, that is definitely a reason to return.

Yelp
Super cute little shop inside an old house with lots of fun artwork, and unique home crafts for sell by local artists. I love small businesses that support other local artists/small businesses. I also love that this shop is super LGBTQ friendly. I came in right when they opened. The barista was super friendly and recommended a delicious drink with house made syrup. I wish it had been a little sweeter but this place definitely deserves 5 stars.

Michele B.

Yelp
This charming coffee "house"' is everything that's right with coffee houses! I especially love the different rooms available for seating indoors, and outdoors when the weather calls for it. Dogs are invited on the back and front patios. Inside they have a terrific looking selection of pastries and muffins. Today I ordered a London Fog tea with coconut milk, and a blueberry muffin. I'm looking forward to trying a coffee drink next time. Employees are friendly and welcoming. Planning my next visit will be easy!

Nicole S.

Yelp
Love this place! Such a cute, homey vibe with 3 different rooms and an outdoor patio. The matcha was good and not too sweet! They have gluten free coffee cake/zucchini bread like options. The staff is wonderful! Very inclusive and friendly space!!

Azsure D.

Yelp
Best coffee house and I have been to so many. Best espresso hands down. Thanks for still offering a dark roast!! Delicious menu items. Thanks for offering vegan options!! Phenomenal ambiance. Super well done. Top notch service. Best part, the entire purpose seems community focused. Check out their website for purpose statements, land acknowledgment, and upcoming events. Inclusive and safe. Just love this place!!

D A.

Yelp
The owners and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The vibe is great and they care about justice & injustice all around the world. Respect.

Yelp
Stopped into this coffee house after a doctor appointment up the street. I wanted local and not Sbux and was pleased to find parking was super easy since I was getting a to-go order. Loved the whole vibe of this place from the moment I walked in - including support for local artists and lots of great nooks to have a chat or do some work. After I ordered, I got to browse the shop and a few pieces were added to my collection. I ordered a Pisces (blueberry and vanilla latte) which was delicious and a fabulous quiche. Only after coming home did I realize the shop was LGBTQ+ and BIPOC owned which made me so happy to have stopped in. I wished I lived a little closer but this will definitely make it into the rounds!

Marty P.

Yelp
I was searching for a coffee shop to hang at prior to my appointment and found this wonderful place! It's an old home converted into a business. I love when someone preserves an old home and makes good use of it. I've always been a fan of a coffee shop in a home. There are nice rooms to hang out in while working on your laptop, reading or spending time with a friend. I loved the barista's energy who took my order. She had a nice smile on her face and was friendly. I ordered a decaf Americano. It wasn't bad. It was better than other decaf Americanos I've had before. The noise level was reasonable. Also, I love the various coffee and tea drinks they offer that features each sign of the zodiac. Each sign has their own unique drink. There is a nice porch to sit at. You may bring your dog to hang out at the front porch or back yard. They have a friendly sign that indicates this. I love dog friendly places! If you haven't been here before, I recommend checking this place out!

Nicole R.

Yelp
100's of other Yelpers have said it- this is the epitome of a neighborhood coffee shop that you feel right at home in. It's in a house and there are so many nooks and crannies to get cozied up in. I just love these types of shops; the decor is vintage and homey. The service is so very friendly. So about that coffee- tried a Cappuccino with regular milk and it was served in a mug and frothed to absolute perfection. Also tried a slice of (gf) cinnamon bread which was heavenly. I cannot recommend this shop enough. If you're a coffee snob that loves great coffee and a homey vibe that's nostalgic- you'll love this place. Ps- check out the cute little bird in the back room.

Devyn A.

Yelp
I've always had great drinks here and the atmosphere HAS ALWAYS been welcoming and safe. No discrimination here unless you spread hate! I suggest grabbing something from them

Annette T.

Yelp
This place is so cute and I love the community feel. It is my go-to coffee shop when I want to work outside my house. Plugs everywhere for charging laptops and wifi is reliable. There are multiple rooms to sit in. It looks like it was built from a house! I love meeting friends here for coffee and reading as well. I've also been to one of their live music events and I love that space outside. Baristas are super friendly too! Don't go to a drab, boring, overpriced Starbucks, come here and be a part of the community!

Sean C.

Yelp
Great vibe. Good coffee. Great place to work remotely. Highly recommend if you need a place to go.

Jenni W.

Yelp
Tiny little coffee shop in what appears to be an old home redecorated for coffee, chill and chatting. Overall tight space but well utilized with a welcoming atmosphere that encourages you to take a seat a stay a while. There was just one lady working the front whom was super pleasant and helpful. While I wanted to try their own roast, i selected their $5 traditional Turkish coffee which they were donating these specific profits directly to Turkey for the much needed aid after the recent 2023 earthquake. Wifey had the "Sagittarius" which was a dirty chai latte with hazelnut and toffee nut - this was basically diabetes in a cup! It was delicious but WOWZERS it was super sweet! Great little spot. Great experience. Likely to return!

Heather B.

Yelp
This is the quintessential Colorado coffee shop. Located right off of Colfax, this house turned into a coffee shop was perfect for a snowy morning stop. This quaint little shop had an extensive menu with wonderful drinks. Our barista was super helpful and patient with questions. The Mexican mocha had the perfect amount of spice and not overly sweet like most mochas. If you've never been, make sure to stop by, as it was easily added to my list of favorite Denver coffee shops.

Cheris K.

Yelp
Mediocre coffee and uncomfortable atmosphere. The venturing into biased political messaging by Quince makes this place discriminatory and uncomfortable. The coffee is expensive and not good and now you get to see their biased opinions all over. Support other establishments that are striving to be warm and welcoming for all.

Laine S.

Yelp
I love Quince coffee shop so much. I feel so welcome and safe every time I come here and the atmosphere is so cozy. They have such a great variety of delicious drinks, something for everyone!! 5 stars, would totally recommend!!!

Noah S.

Yelp
This shop discriminates and is very intolerant toward certain groups of people. They even get their employees to write fake reviews. Food and coffee are nasty too.

Candace C.

Yelp
In town on vacation and ordered from this place on DoorDash since we couldn't leave the hotel for a bit. Nothing major, two coffees and two pastries. The ordered was randomly cancelled with "duplicate order" as the reason, 15 min after the dasher had been there and 30 min after the order was supposed to already have arrived. Massive disappointment, and a huge waste of time for the poor dasher. I get being busy, or whatever happened, but be timely and courteous so people can figure something else out. Was really looking forward to GF pastries.

Hannah C.

Yelp
Cute interior with plenty of nooks to do work or catch up. There's also plenty of space outdoors for those who want some sun or have dogs. Really good coffee and baked goods sourced from La Belle and Make Believe Bakery (vegan!)-- it doesn't get better than this

Lia L.

Yelp
Great lattes, fun drinks, and very friendly staff. Good overall vibes, very homey! Would recommend!

Gillian G.

Yelp
my favorite coffee shop in all of denver. the vibes are always right; their drinks are great; and they have awesome indoor and outdoor seating. i wish i lived closer so i could come every day and get the aries drink. love this place!!!

Larry C.

Yelp
Wonderful little coffee shop. To die for pastries and sweets. I mean why go anywhere else if you can all this? #1 rated on Yelp took me to this great little place, and for me, it lived up to the #1 rating. Thanks to all the employees who add to the ambiance and peacefulness. Will be back!!!

somgirl s.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful. Cozy space. Great drinks. Lovely snacks. True coffee shop feel. Lovely service.

Jin N.

Yelp
Great coffee, food and service. Enjoyed the outdoor backyard area, with the live music. The repurposed vintage home creates a nice ambience, with rooms to sip and chat.

Jai S.

Yelp
I moved to the area 2 months ago and this coffee shop has become my weekly Sunday spot! The food is tasty (do yourself a favor and get a strawberry croissant). The staff are friendly and the environment is nice and calm. I'm really grateful to have a queer friendly place like this in my neighborhood!

Chuck W.

Yelp
Fun, funky coffee house in an old home a few feet south of Colfax. Warm, inviting interior filled with bits & pieces of art & cute old artifacts. Great cinnamon rolls! Fun menu. 1447 Quince St Denver

Fran P.

Yelp
Dig the eclectic laid back ambiance. Nice space to hang out and work. All their mugs are unique. The baristas are nice warm people. Coffee is tasty and then have some good gf dessert bread

Gina A.

Yelp
Cute local coffee joint! I had an iced vanilla latte which was tasty and my friend had a veggie scone which smelled yummy. The service was pretty slow, we waited for about 15 minutes for them to heat the scone and I had to go looking to find out if they were bringing our order to us, and they were just making my iced coffee so that was a bit annoying.

Christopher B.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here turned off by the previous staff. Fate had it that I needed a coffee within walking distance of a body shop so here I am and, with a very pleasant surprise, that the staff reminds me of the one many years ago - friendly, conversational, genuine, and inviting. The coffee, well, as good as ever. There are some minor improvements to the seating areas but the little things are sometimes what makes a big difference. Keep it up, QCH!

S.L. R.

Yelp
Nice folks. Easy environment, but unfortunately I came for coffee. The latte was mediocre and the Cortana bitter. Maybe if you're into tea or add flavors to your coffee, it would be more fun. Hey, but it beats the heck out of Starbucks!

Lindsay D.

Yelp
The coffee is not my favorite, but the place is super cute. It is an old Victorian house. The place has a great vibe. It is a great study spot. There is also a big outdoor space, which is great to hang out in the summer. Also the staff is super sweet!! I love that it is BIPOC and queer owned. I also have heard that they host a lot fun events here- drag queen story times. It has a real community feel to it. I am definitely planning on making this a regular study spot for me :)

Cassie P.

Yelp
What more can be said about this cozy, friendly coffeeshop?! It's a great spot for working, meeting, relaxing, and more. I ordered a macchiato and bacon breakfast burrito. It was super busy on this particular morning, but I snagged a seat at a hightop with another patron. I love that they have signs on the table that you can put up if you're open to others sitting with you. I also dig all the patio seating where I eventually ended up. Great for sitting outdoors when the weather is right! They have a small parking lot, but I ended up parking on the street during street sweeping (even though they were so nice to write in chalk out front that it was street sweeping day!). My ticket, my fault... Not only that, I also left my wallet here at some point, but thankfully no one took it and the owners diligently checked for it when I called later in the day. All in all, this is such a solid coffeeshop in the area with all the drinks and eats one could hope for! I'll definitely be back.

Doug G.

Yelp
Enjoyed the breakfast burrito and the ice coffee. Friendly and thoughtful staff. A quaint and wonderfully quirky space I hope to visit soon again.

Scott D.

Yelp
What a delight this place is...it is the kind of coffee shop that is so hard to find anymore (isn't a chain and doesn't have a drive thru). It's built in an old house just south of Colfax on quince. Lots of comfy seating spots, quirky as hell, GREAT coffee and tea drinks, a small but adequate food menu (pastries and burritos) and a great staff. Lots of regulars for a reason. Absolutely love it.

Liam M.

Yelp
Ordered a cortado, which is sometimes risky but it was on the menu and perfect reviews at this place - wait was over ten minutes for one coffee and I walked out with a large latte. Boo. It was mostly students inside so I get that margins are low and baristas are not really trained but don't put something on the menu if you are not going to train it.

Elissa S.

Yelp
This tiny little coffee shop has great coffee, a cozy atmosphere, and an AMAZING staff. Kate, Jenna, and John have created a welcoming, safe environment that makes Quince feel less like a coffee house and more like a second home. It's my go-to coffee shop for working remotely: the wifi is reliable (and reaches the wrap-around porch, if you wanted to work outside during the warmer months), there are plenty of seating options throughout the shop, and there are outlets everywhere for easy charging access. I love Quince and really feel part of a community here!

Jesse B.

Yelp
Should have come ages ago but love the atmosphere, staff, coffee and food at Quince. It is a little house one block east of Quebec inbetween Colfax and 14th. Quince is in a house converted to have the first floor have the coffee bar and several rooms (think Stella's but on East Colfax with its own vibe). There are multiple coffee, tea and other beverage options. Many of the coffees are from Kaladi brothers. They offer hot and cold good options. I tried a sweet potato and chorizo breakfast burrito. It does take 10ish minutes as they heat it on a panini press. My sister had a quiche (fine but I'm always a burrito guy) and wife tried the gluten free chocolate chip cake (decent but gluten free baked goods are always a challenge). The owner was sitting outside and offered to take our picture (better than the selfie!). Not often that you get to meet the owner of the shop you're at. Very fun, funky and homey feel. Can't wait to go back.

Carly W.

Yelp
There's so much to love about QuinceEssential Coffee House! I'll spell it out for you! Q = Quaint! What else would you expect from a home turned coffee shop U = Unique! Chalkboard table tops, cute red chairs, various comfy chairs, and eclectic decor - everything adds to the unique/cute vibe! I = Incredibly friendly baristas! Need I say more? N = Not much parking... But you can't hold their popularity against them! C = Coffee! Featuring roasts from both Kaladi and Jubilee Coffee. No to mention your standard coffee is bottomless for those fiends out there! E = Eats! All the heart eyes for tasty eats from Mame's Burritos and Maria Empanadas. This is def an Essential must see coffee shop in Denver! I know I'll be cozying up at QuinceEssential Coffee House for more delish beverages and study seshes (did I mention the free wifi?) in the future!

Hailey R.

Yelp
A beautiful and charming literal house coffee shop! There's lots of different art to admire, and a really gentle atmosphere. The coffees are unique and incredibly tasty, and they have a selection of food that wasn't an overly large serving that was flavorful and filling. Would definitely recommend for the coffee enthusiast!

María Paula P.

Yelp
Cool place to work, the service is super friendly, and the music is great. Definitely coming back

Brittany S.

Yelp
The best lavender latte I've ever had! Friendly service and a welcoming environment...we will definitely be back to try other menu items!

Kelly R.

Yelp
So happy I came across this adorable coffee shop!! It's really a house turned coffee shop and it's so cute. My pistachio latte was so good!! Spinach quiche was steaming hot and tasted great, also had a couple vegan baked goods which tasted amazing. Lady at the counter was very welcoming and helpful, if I lived here I'd come here all the time.

Haley P.

Yelp
For all of the signs and artwork in the coffee shop preaching love and kindness to all, I was shocked at how rude the owner Amy was to me. That being said, my coffee was very good. I got an iced latte with oat milk and chagaccino powder.

Katie F.

Yelp
Old homes, turned business's are always my favorites. They are quaint, homey, exude a feeling of the past and always bring a unique vibe. "Quince" for short - is no exception! LOCATION/VIBE: Just a little past the corner of Colfax and Quince, this coffee shop is easy to drive past, but is clearly marked, if you're looking for its doors. Nestled into the neighboring homes, it's easy to see why this is a locals favorite! Although small, the space feels much larger. The interior is filled with various trinkets, tea cups, and different color/sized tables to accommodate various party sizes. Locals vibe with a farm house feel, is the best way to describe it! My friend and I found a cute little spot on the wrap around porch, making us feel right at home! STAFF: So beyond friendly. We looked like a couple of lost souls as we searched for the menu to order from, but the barista, who was so sweet, pointed right to it and gave us a handful of their favorite dishes/drinks. It's clear they welcome all, as the place was packed for a Wednesday morning, and they were familiar with most of them! FOOD: Holy pastries! mmmm! Although we chose to nosh on their homemade breakfast burritos (stuffed with bacon, potato, green chilie and cheese!) their croissants, danishes and entire case of OTHER looked absolutely drool worthy! They pride themselves on local flavors - as their empanadas are made by Maria Empanada (off S Broadway), the organic juices are made in Denver, and their famous "bottle soda's" are all made locally. We ordered at the counter, and the sweet barista found us and brought us our meal! The burrito was grilled to perfection and so good! Although, there wasn't any cheese in mine, it still tasted fresh and yum! COFFEE/TEA: Because the sun decided to come on out after the recent rain, I opted for an iced coffee with a splash of vanilla syrup and cream. mmmmm! I find that most iced coffee can be quite bitter, but not this one! Perfectly sweetened and refreshing! EVEN BETTER? When you guy an iced coffee, you get a free refill! My friend opted for their local apple juice and found it to be strong in flavor and taste, but great! I was very impressed by this little gem in the heart of Denver! I know I'll be back!! :)
