"Recently opened in the renovated section of Corso Italia in central Savona, Quintogusto is a small, contemporary and minimalist-style restaurant occupying one side of the former hospital. Here, the owner-chef (once sous-chef at the excellent Michelin-starred Il Vescovado in Noli) cements his reputation with Ligurian-influenced cuisine to which he adds his own modern and imaginative touches." - Michelin Inspector

I'm not one to write reviews but...... my expectations were high after having read and heard of this restaurant, also curious to try their Cappon Magro (35 Euros). The entrance is very unclear. No indication but the waitress came outside to show us the door... The service is good and friendly and a very nice restroom. However not so impressed with the food. The entre' was a strange match between flavours with beet... leaving the palate somewhat confused and with a strange aftertaste... not what it's meant to do.No entre' drink to accompany I ordered Foie Gras for starters, expecting something special considering their price..... unfortunately I felt I was eating 2 slices of pure butter with a little taste of liver. The Cappon Magro.... presentation very impressive, yet there it finishes..... definitely not fresh and more of a 'scomposto'... with various sauces, which work for presentation but not worth the 35 euros. Multiple dishes served with the same decoration too. We dined during winter and as far as atmosphere I feel to add that we both had cold hands during the whole dinner which obviously influenced our time together. My review is 'a little overpriced and shall not recommend'.

We had a fantastic meal in this lovely restaurant, in a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere. Alina served us very courteously and kindly, and the dishes were simply wonderful in their variety of flavours, aromas and colours. We'll be happy to come back!

Enjoyed a warm welcome and beautiful lunch on a wet Monday in Savonna. The cuisine is not classical Italian fare but was colourful and exciting. Service was informative and attentive. Well worth the trip we made from Genoa to eat here.

What a gem! Been there with my wife for a casual dinner on Sunday evening and we had a truly great experience. The white fish tartare was just amazing and out of the ordinary. The chef uses south american flavours to add a unique taste to every dish. Service is attentive and efficient. Price more than correct and proportioned to the kind of restaurant and food it offers. Can only recommend warmly. Very well done Alina and Mirko!

Quintogusto is all we appreciate in a fine restaurant: genuine hospitality; attractive and delicious food; a real measure of creativity; fair prices for premium ingredients. Savona is short on truly distinctive restaurants. Don't miss this one.

Awesome place, in the nicest part of town Finally something original and unexpected that respect the balances of flavours The menu creation truly shows the mind of an expert, offering a smooth transition between summer and autumn dishes. The appetizers were so good i wondered if I could have had a main course of it A fresh beginning with raw fish and mushrooms was delightful, and a strong ending with monkfish and a pasta dish in smoky beef consomme worthy of the name "quinto gusto", the apple dessert with chocolate mousee wasn't just tasty, the textures and temperatures were equally an important part of the experience The staff was very cordial and prepared, offering the perfect guidance I needed for choosing wines I will definitely go back as soon as possible
