The atmosphere was great, staff were friendly and there is plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. The coffee was awesome - very tasty and plenty of options. The breakfast sandwich was probably my favorite part!

I’ve visited this coffee shop several times, and it never disappoints. The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every time I ask for a recommendation, they suggest something unique that never fails to impress. The coffee itself is exceptional—rich, perfectly brewed, and clearly crafted with care. This place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! My favorite will always be the espresso

Google
This is my favorite coffee shop in Minnesota! The workers are kind, and the coffee is great quality. My favorite drink is the caramel iced latte. Their seasonal drinks & pastries are delicious too. It's a good environment to get work done, but it can be hard to find a seat during peak times.

Arrived as a girl, left as a woman. A changed woman. Amazing iced latte. I’m always scared of getting vanilla lattes from these “craft coffee shops” because it seems these days they want to be all “cool different full of dirt and grit” about everything (you know what I mean!!) but not here. Just damn good coffee and I appreciate that. It’s cute inside, spacious, comfortable and clean which is a plus. All the employees were super friendly each visit (I’ve only been 3x and each time like the last - a treat!) and seemed like they genuinely were happy. So that’s a plus, or they’re all great actors destined for greatness! Bakery items top tier with gluten free options for the celiac cuties which is always a plus in my book! Parking is kind of scary so plan to bike or walk in if possible, if you’re not local that’s okay, you’ll survive.

Quixotic is truly a gem! From the moment you walk in, the friendly and knowledgeable customer service stands out, making you feel welcome and valued. The coffee is absolutely top-notch, with a range of expertly crafted drinks that cater to every taste. The food menu is just as impressive—perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Whether you’re meeting up with a friend for a one-on-one catch-up or gathering a large group, Quixotic has the perfect space to suit your needs. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and spacious, making it ideal for any occasion. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great coffee, delicious food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere!

Google
Tiramisu Cold Brew was delicious. But I wouldn’t go back. Staff looked dead in my eyes as I was waiting and ignored me only to take the order of the person who came in after me. If I’m spending $7 on a coffee, you can at least acknowledge me.

Google
We had a cinnamon pull-apart, a white lightning, and a seasonal gingerbread latte. The white lightning looked nothing like the advertised pictures and also had no vanilla flavor. The espresso tasted burnt and it was overall an unenjoyable beverage. The gingerbread latte had no recognizable gingerbread flavor but instead tasted like a standard latte with a dash of cinnamon. The espresso tasted far better in this drink but it was still underwhelming. We enjoyed the cinnamon pull-part most out of what we ordered, however, it was still quite dry. The service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was lively with excellent decor.

Google
Quixotic is a great spot in a great location in Highland Park! My partner and I had our first date there a while back and it's remained a special place for me since. The shop speaks for itself in how the place is almost always full and lively with customers. I like most of the seasonal rotations, and will definitely be back next March for the Irish Cream cold brew. As it's spring, I'm very much looking forward to the summer menu and the unique syrups and creations that Quixotic makes.

Yelp
Such a pleasant surprise! First off the staff was super friendly and answered all of our questions. They source all of their food and products locally which I LOVE! They have kombucha from a local company on tap and gave free samples so that we could find one we liked before purchasing (lemon berry was so good)! We also got a wrap which was delicious and fresh! Decaf latte and they said the syrup is made in house and it was very good. I love that they have a room in the back you can reserve for $10/hr (and they give that back in gift card to purchase products when you are there). I will be doing this!! Plenty of seating (booths, tables, bar seating), cozy inviting atmosphere. I look forward to going back!

Yelp
I often go on runs with Saint City Running next door on Saturday mornings and this is a must post-run stop for a coffee and a well-earned pastry. On my last visit, I got an espresso and a donut. I am not sure where they get the pastries from, but the donut was on point - a dense cake donut with tasty frosting. The espresso was very good as well. The line moves kind of slowly, so don't get in a huff if things take a while. There are places to sit and a lot of light coming in the front windows, so it is a good place to chill and enjoy the post-cardio runners high with some caffeine.

Yelp
Best part of this coffee shop is the warm interior. What a cozy vibe! There is a bar you can sit at; booths and table or a large space for a group. Cake mid-afternoon so there wasn't much for food left. Will have to come early next time. Match was top notch. Enjoyed the Marko Polo, maybe a bit too much salt but still tasty. Staff was patient and kind, very little wait. Very enjoyable. Will be back.

Yelp
Love this coffee shop! Very nice light comes in the mornings. Great place to get some work done or meet with friends! Coffee is great! They also have good smoothie bowls. The service is quick and can get really busy/ packed. If you want to get a table come around 10 am

Yelp
I came here to meet a coworker for a project and in general enjoyed the ambiance of this spot. It's a great place for working if you can snag a spot toward the back, as the front area tends to be busier with people walking in and placing orders. I also appreciated that they have a small room available for up to six people to reserve if needed--a nice touch for group work. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, which was on the sweeter side, but still tasty. It was a bit chilly inside during our visit, but overall, I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Love this place, especially for working! Not a ton of seating, but I've never had a problem finding a spot. As a cold brew lover, I loved the variety of different cold brew based specialty drinks they had! Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Quixotic coffee is my go to study spot! I love their seasonal drinks that always catch me by surprise. I've had their cardamom rose latte that felt like a warm hug, and I also tried their maple latte which was delicious. The baristas know their drinks and are very accommodating whenever someone needs alternative milk options or decaf substitutes. There's so much seating, and it's easy to get a lot of work done here or grab a coffee with someone

Yelp
I was only semi-impressed with Quixotic Coffee. I do really like the actual inside of the cafe, there's a lot of different seating, including booths, tables, and even a small room you can reserve. It's a great place to bring a family or come to get some work done. The coffee is ok, but just ok. I've had much better in the Twin Cities, but it's still way over any chain coffee shop. We were not impressed at all with the acai bowls. They were extremely small, the base was very watery, and they were stingy with the toppings. I definitely would not come here for acai. I'd say Quixotic is a great place to hang out, but expect slightly above average coffee and not so good acai bowls.
google avatar

Gennie L.

Yelp
The lattes at Quixotic are AMAZING. I usually get a regular latte with no additional flavoring but this time I decided to get a lavender latte and have no regrets at all! They've got the best coffee in the Twin Cities no doubt! Customer service was amazing and the wait time was super short. I will definitely be back when school starts for study sessions at the cafe! Overall rating: 10/10
google avatar

LeaDan Y.

Yelp
Probably not a good place for a quiet conversation but perfect for a tasty coffee and or smoothie bowl. Refreshing stop during these summer months. The inside carries sound too well so if you're planning on working, I'd recommend headphones. There's also a little room that you may reserve for study groups or meetings. We loved their specialty nitro cold brew menu!

Yelp
I've tried various staple drinks and specials from Quixotic and everything has been super tasty! Today I ordered the mint mocha (iced, with oat milk) and it was delicious. Not too sweet, not too minty, and well-balanced. As far as the atmosphere goes, the space is well-lit and cute. It can be hard to find a table when it's busy, but there are plenty of outlets for working from the shop. I did have issues connecting to the internet there last summer, but I saw plenty of people on laptops today. As other reviews have mentioned, parking is a PAIN. There is alley parking near the shop, but it's limited and has a time restriction. Street parking can be hard to find but isn't terrible if you're willing to walk a bit. My husband and I have taken to biking to Quixotic in the summers, since there are plenty of places to lock a bike (as well as additional outside seating).

Yelp
I have always passed by Quixotic but today was the day I decided to go inside. The interior feels very welcoming and hip with plants and a black and white/neutral theme. The service was good with the cashiers being nice and the time to make my drink being under 5 minutes. I ordered a carmel latte with an extra shot of espresso and it was DELICIOUS! The caramel flavor was able to shine through even with her being added espresso. I am one who doesn't really love coffee and was nervous about this drink being too strong, but the drink didn't have an OVERWHELMING coffee flavor which was nice. My only qualms is that my coffee was a little bit expensive and the bathroom situation wasn't the most effective. With tip it ended up being around nine dollars but I suppose that's just how much coffee is going for these days. Due to how great the food and service is here the restaurant was pretty crowded and they only had one bathroom in the back that had a line with a wait time of almost 10 minutes. That being said, I would highly recommend this coffee shop!!!

Yelp
Cute coffee shop, perfect for studying! Loved my time here, so many outlets and very nice staff. There is a lot of seating and large tables (which I love). Coffee is good, need to try more!

Yelp
I was thoroughly impressed by Quixotic Coffee! I arrived 45 minutes after opening on a Saturday morning. Within an hour the place was packed. The barista (I didn't catch her name) seemed to know everyone on a first name basis! I enjoyed a few hours of studying at one of their booths. I enjoyed the privacy the tall booth sides added. Even though the place was a madhouse, I was able to focus. There's a large meeting room in the back of the shop too. I enjoyed a Valentine's Day special - a strawberry milk mocha, and a chocolate crueler. Both were delicious! I was impressed by the self-serve water station and the gluten free bakery options they offered. I noticed they have kombucha and tea on tap so I'm looking forward to giving those a try next time I'm back!
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best coffee I've had! Their specialty cold brews are no joke. I'm a fan of sweeter coffee so I asked the barista what their sweetest cold brew was. She said the Marko polo would be their sweetest drink but they can make any of their cold brews sweeter based on request. When looking at the other drinks the barista mentioned the chocolate milk was delicious so I was leaning towards those. I ended up getting the rockless road which was cold brew, chocolate milk and hazelnut syrup. After getting my drink the barista mentioned she made it a little sweeter for me and let me try it in case I wanted it to be sweeter. She was so friendly and helpful when ordering!! It ended up tasting delicious based on the accommodations she already made. It was the perfect balance of coffee, milk and hazelnut for me! I definitely want to come back and try their other cold brew with chocolate milk which comes with almond syrup instead of hazelnut; the deniro. Overall I was so satisfied with my experience and the service I received. The coffee was delicious as I mentioned, and there's also a good amount of seating to come and get some work done as well. There's free Wi-Fi and lots of large tables to work at. I definitely will come back!

Yelp
Cozy, hip inside that is much larger than I expected from the street. Service was quick & friendly. I had the white lightening ($6.15) but in addition to coffee, they have teas & kombucha & food items available.

Yelp
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at Quixotic Coffee this morning with a dear friend. I ordered the "Tangerine Ginger" tea over ice and my friend had a latte. The barista was very friendly and accommodating to put my hot tea over ice! There was a calm atmosphere with most customers either working or chatting with friends. My tangerine ginger tea was tangy and refreshing, perfect for the warm weather today!

Yelp
I loved this coffee shop! I ordered the seasonal Bourbon Eggnog Latte and it was splendid. Perfectly seasoned and steamed. Beautiful presentation. The service was quick and the staff very friendly. They handled an incident with a homeless man graciously and effectively. There was plenty of space for groups to come & many outlets for people to work. I'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
I LOVE Quixotic. It's hard for me to pick my favorite coffee shop in the cities (it's like picking a favorite child lol) but this one is definitelyyyy at the top. Their flavors are just so so so good. Their coffee is truly unique and hard to find anywhere else. I also love the inside of their store. It's super cozy and there is LOTS of seating considering the size of the place. They also sell delicious pastries, so what more could you want? Quixotic is a must visit if you're in the area looking for some coffee!
google avatar

Allie S.

Yelp
I can't believe I have yet to review Quixotic, as it has been my favorite Twin Cities coffee shop for years now. The atmosphere is great, and there are ample seating options (though you will still find it full on most weekends). My sister and I love to spend mornings into afternoons sitting and chatting while sipping our lattes. The husband and I get to go coffees on the weekends, when they have a larger selection of baked goods, which the husband loves. The staff is friendly and creates a very welcoming space. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Chassidie L.

Yelp
Super cute interior and atmosphere. It is a great place to get work done or study! They also have a study room you can reserve for big group projects/ meetings! I got the seasonal salted caramel apple latte w/ oatmilk ($6.50). It's not the best I've ever had, but it's good! It just didn't taste like caramel or apple, but I did taste the salt they sprinkled. If I were to come back, I would try something else. That being said, the customer service, atmosphere, and vibes would definitely be the reason for the second trip.
google avatar

Gabi Z.

Yelp
I ordered an iced honey latte and it was great. The espresso was very smooth and not bitter. Also a very cute environment and plenty of sitting room. The coffee price was at the higher end being around $7 with added flavor, but the staff was very quick and super friendly. Definitely a great spot!!

Strawberry S.

Yelp
So aesthetically pleasing!!! Loved the smoothie bowl but it was like 9.271% smoothie and the rest fruit and toppings.... The service was decent, everybody was super friendly. It would be quite lovely if they worked on their portion sizes though. (:
google avatar

Robert P.

Yelp
Had a Cortado, very good highly recommended... Nice place to hang out. I have been to a lot of coffee shops recently and thought that this Cortado was well above average.
google avatar

Yelp
Consider your "picture perfect" coffee shop with solid customer service, cozy ambiance and beautifully crafted drinks and you will suddenly be describing Quixotic. Hipster vibes, wooden tables, funky signage, the BEST cold brews around (shout out to the White Lightning) and warm espresso options, you absolutely cannot go wrong here. Great place to bring laptops for work and schoolwork. Excellent customer service and a sense of joy with each visit. Come solo or meet up with friends. There is a back room that you can rent out for meetings. I hope you enjoy the magic of this little nook in Highland!

Jaime V.

Yelp
I ordered a cold brew, which was called white lightning. The coffee was smooth and flavorful, and the cold brew was refreshing on a hot day. The menu had a lot to choose from, so there is something for everyone! I also appreciated that the barista was super nice and friendly. Overall, I had a great experience at Quixotic. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good cup of coffee.

Erin T.

Yelp
Great açaí bowls eclectic vibe and great coffee! We stopped there from CA and enjoyed it.

Willie L.

Yelp
We just moved down the street so it'd be nice to have a great coffee place to walk and do some serious reading. Quixotic Coffee does provide a nice ambience and the seating is comfortable. I especially enjoyed sitting near the front where the floor-to-ceiling windows provide great light for reading small type. I'm a serious coffee drinker - so no espresso drinks, no whipped cream, no alternative whiteners, etc. The Quixotic brew was quite average, with a sour after note. More concerning was that it was just lukewarm. So it doesn't really delight this Boomer. But it's fine for doing homework and cramming for exams.
google avatar

Kamrin D.

Yelp
This is a great little coffee shop for a variety of reasons. First off, the drink selection is awesome. I had an iced tea which they freshly brewed and my husband had a Nitro Coffee which he liked. They have fresh pastries from Patisserie 46 and donuts from Mojo Monkey. A new addition to the menu is the açaí Bowles, although I haven't tried those yet. They have decent seating if you want to come here for a meeting or to study and they even have an enclosed study room you can reserve if you want. The only downside is parking. A lot of the street parking in the area is only one hour and can be difficult to find a spot depending on the time of day. I'll definitely be back and will be adding this to my list of good study spots.
google avatar

Maddy R.

Yelp
Throughout my college experience I always was searching for the perfect coffee shop to get work done. I'm annoyed that it took me until 4 years post grad to find one, because this place is it! Quixotic has the perfect mix of background noise, music and chatter but not overbearing. The coffee itself is very good & I will be going back!

Greg H.

Yelp
The space, the service, the deliciousness! Quixotic Coffee checks all the boxes. As a former drinker who misses the taste of stout beer, the nitro cold brew served on tap is even better--rich, deep and complex. A whole other kind of buzz, for which I am grateful. I'm as comfortable here plugging in and getting some work done as I am chatting with a friend. The place is lively but not loud. It's easy to have a quiet conversation or to focus on a good book. I can't speak to any of the many other coffee options, because they had me at nitro cold brew, and I'm not letting go. Five stars.
google avatar

Krystal C.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor.... order the white lightening I'm usually a hot coffee only person myself but I took a chance and now I'm hooked. I like that there are some tables outside to enjoy this funky part of town. Everything seems super clean and inviting. Lots of space to site inside even with social distancing. The barista was very friendly. Looking forward to trying more. Overall a quality coffee spot with lots of Options

Richie P.

Yelp
Was great atmosphere. It was super busy but their service was superb. The coffee I had was top of the line!
google avatar

Autumn A.

Yelp
I got the regular drip coffee which was quite tasty. The front half of the building was very sunny, the back half is more dinky lit. There is lots of seated, but the back half is more booths and there is a large meeting room than has glass walls and a door than can close for more private meetings. There were pastries and lost of coffee options to chose from. This was a popular spot in a row of stores and restaurants- so get there early to get a spot!
google avatar

Luis L.

Yelp
Just perfection in a cup. This place has taken the spot for our 2nd favorite coffee shop! Subtle layers of flavors were balanced so well. Coffee was light and rich, but yet robust with delicate flavor and texture that just made it taste perfect! This beautiful coffee shop reminded us so much of the best coffee we've had in Seattle. Really high praise and well deserved! We will be coming here regularly for sure. Ham & Cheese croissants were also uniquely fresh and delicious.
google avatar

Paige G.

Yelp
I went here with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. I've been wanting to check out this coffee shop for a while and finally got a chance. After finding street parking, I walked inside and was welcomed with an open and bright vibe. There weren't any open seats and I was surprised at how crowded it was. Eventually a seat did open up. I was excited that they had local kombucha on tap. I was able to sample a few flavors. I opted for the cherry ginger and it was delicious. They give you a pretty decent size class which I was excited about. It was delicious. My friend ordered a nitro cold brew and enjoyed it. Something strange that happened was that there was a man complaining that kombucha makes people alcoholics. He rambled on and on. I will say that the person working handled the situation very well and professionally. Overall, this is a great coffee shop and I would go back again!
google avatar

Carlyn H.

Yelp
If you're looking for kombucha on tap look no further than the hand selected best options St. Paul has to offer at Quixotic (and that's not even what they're known for!) their coffee doesn't miss-- americano with cream to get the perfect insight into their awesome espresso. Wait staff was baller too. Great place to study (their wooden booths in the back are the ambience equiv of correctly dosed adhd medication)

Yelp
I had an early morning wake-up call by my little 5 month old so I thought why not hit up a coffee shop to get caffeinated! I had done sine research on this Highland Park establishment and even though I don't drink coffee they had a matcha latte that was calling my name! Street parking was readily available on this Sunday morning so I was happy to see that that wasn't going to be an issue for me. But I can see how parking gets trickier as the day goes on. Regardless, I strolled my baby in, ordered a matcha latte and a chocolate croissant. I loved the vibe in there and the baristas were kind and friendly. My matcha latte was great as was my croissant. I 100% will be coming back the next time I'm woken up early by my little. I hear they have an excellent vanilla latte if you're into that!
google avatar

Kim B.

Yelp
What a cute coffee shop! I almost missed it when driving but parked and walked to it. Very open and inviting. They have a nice variety of food to go along with their coffee/tea options. They offer made to order food and on the go as well. My egg/cheese bagel with avocado was amazing! Definitely worth stopping by!
google avatar

Arianna E.

Yelp
I can't rave about this ham/everything flavored croissant! Honestly, TO DIE FOR!! Coffee and tea were also good- but the breakfast stole the show. Also, you can't beat the location
google avatar

Shelby S.

Yelp
Not many places here in MN can really satisfy my matcha cravings but this place here did just that. I have been a few times before but today I wanted to try the Matcha Latte and I am glad I did. It has a strong matcha taste and was perfectly sweet. To top it off it came with pretty latte art! I have tried the white lightening before as well which is a nitro cold brew type of drink with some sweetness to it, great if you want a coffee drink that is on the sweeter side. I love the atmosphere of this place. The marble tables have me sold and I wish I could take them home. They have some booth style seating which gives a more intimate feel. I'd say it is a great place to study or just go to chat with some friends or a date. Expect to pay higher coffee shop prices.
google avatar

German R.

Yelp
Cool place, good coffee, and amazing pastries, is a perfect description of this place. Warm and inviting in a cold cold place, we're so glad we found this place before we left MN. I had the Latte with honey, forget what it was called but had a cool name. I believe it was "Miel" but not sure. It was good, a bit too honeyish for me. My wife had Chamoi Latte and she said it's one of the best she's had. Both drinks hit the stop and really gave us a great feeling as we left MN to head home. The reason for 5 stars is the pastry I had, boy it was AMAZING!!!! It was like a blend of sticky bun/croissant/cinnamon roll. It was nice and warm, crispy on the outside and moist and steamy on the inside. I would fly to MN just to have this pastry, it's that good! Well guys, well done. Can't wait to head back there soon.

Yelp
Quixotic coffee offers delicious coffee and a fantastic atmosphere to study or get work done. Their cold brew drinks are tasty and they have oat milk & almond - I love me some milk alternative choices! They also have kombucha on tap, which is delicious as well. There is a semi- private room you can reserve online if you have a group working together. All in all, one of my favorite spots where I know I'll love my coffee and can get loads of work done.
google avatar

Emily Z.

Yelp
I'd give Quixotic a solid 4 after trying it a couple of times. There are the standard coffee shop items and more unique items on their menu. I think their matcha lattes are really delicious. Great matcha taste but not too powerful. Their nitros are good too. Overall, good quality drinks. The space is what makes Quixotic. There are plenty of wooden booths for people to chat, study, etc. There was also a smaller closed off room for people to use with a small group perhaps. During Christmas time, it was charming at night.
google avatar

Lindsay Y.

Yelp
Stopped by Quixotic for a quick cold brew because I wanted to switch up my daily Starbucks routine. It was super cute inside with wood furnishings and a very trendy/modern appeal to it. I ordered a cold brew and a regular coffee form my dad. My cold brew was a bit on the bitter side and my dad said his coffee was just ok, but he ultimately preferred Starbucks haha. Overall, it was a nice place and the coffee was decent.
google avatar

Yelp
Now I've only been once, and I may have just had an off experience, but despite a couple of impressive features, I'd be hard-pressed to return. First, the positive: the layout is excellent, with a number of fairly private booths that would be perfect for an extended work or study session (or just an intimate conversation). Also, not only do they have kombucha on tap, but they actually have four varieties of it! Impressive. However two problems: first, while $3.50 for a double-shot americano isn't bad, per se, it's definitely up there, in a price range that typically correlates with a special cup of coffee, while this was anything but. It was drinkable enough, but quite weak and one-note flavor-wise (note: I got it in a 12-oz to-go cup, whereas their stay-in cups are quite a bit smaller, and this may have been part of the issue... btw, I never understand it when when to-go and stay-in cups are are of very different volumes for the same order size). Regardless, the bigger problem, at least on this day, was that the thermostat was set at an uncomfortably chilly 68 degrees, quite a bit below the typical 72-74 you find in most places (my watch has a thermometer, and I geek out on measuring such things...).
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
5 stars for their customer service and ambiance. I loved the interior. I find that it's a bit dark for studying but many were present doing their work. Social distancing is sort of enforced but it was also really busy. The staff were friendly and wearing masks. Currently, next door is renovating so it's a bit loud. Caffeine is expensive. My fiancé needed to finish some work so I looked up a cafe that sold matcha as I'm not a coffee drinker. Quixotic popped up - I'm glad I didn't dive into the reviews before I had my drink because I'd be even more disappointed than I already was. I give the matcha latte a solid... 0.5 stars. It's not only extremely overpriced but tasted like milk with some instant matcha powder. For the many reviews that gave this latte raving reviews, I'm not sure why or where they've had matcha before. The latte art was cute and all but I just drank a cup of steamed milk. There was almost no matcha flavor in it and if it wasn't for the fact that it was slightly green, I probably would've forgotten what I ordered. The star is solely for the matcha. I'm sure the coffee is great with the traffic this place had.

Yelp
A fun coffee stop in St. Paul! With fresh on trend decor that makes you feel like you stepped onto a HGTV set. Clearly, Quixotic is equally as popular as the trendy network; the whole time I was in the shop, they had a long line. This won't leave you time to look at their more expansive fun menu (located at the register), but instead order your go to coffee shop drink. Nonetheless, whatever you order you'll be pleased with the robust flavor of their espresso! Good location and coffee vibes can be found here.

Yelp
This is a great coffee shop to study and/or get work done! There's wifi and plenty of outlets at each table. The coffee is also good and consistent the times I've been here. I got there apple caramel latte a few days ago and it was delicious! They have a variety of pastries and plant-based milks too. Parking is street only but it's not hard to find a spot even on the weekend.
