"The pool at the R3 — and, by extension, the pool bar and restaurant — are open to non-guests, and paying a visit to all three is a perfect way to transition into the late afternoon in Guerneville. In addition to a rotating list of frozen cocktails, there’s also a full bar — just be careful, as the drinks at the R3 are similar to other drinks at gay establishments across California (read: strong). If you’re not yet hungry, that’s understandable, but it’d be a real shame to miss out on splitting a Bang Bang Chicken Sandwich by the pool with whoever you ventured into town with. Think of it as a little amuse-bouche to prep your palate for your eventual dinner." - Garrett Schlichte

An absolute gem! It was just by chance my friend and I stayed here on our way to up the coast to see the redwoods. We walked into a lively crowd in a beautiful pool area with a stocked bar and great music! The room was perfectly clean, and the location was amazing, just outside of Armstrong State Park. I would absolutely stay here again!

Google
This a fine straight-friendly lodge on the Russian River. We had a poolside room with two beds, brought our bicycles into the room, enjoyed hot showers and fresh beer from the bar right outside our door. We were warmly welcomed, and found good dinner in town.

Cell phone access is spotty at best in Guerneville so we always relied on the WiFi at R3. Not anymore. In the past WiFi was strong and available throughout the property, but now it’s spotty at best. At 5 pm on July 3, 2025, it is nearly unavailable. I hope this is a one off and that the WiFi will be improved in the future.

I never got a room here but my friends brought me here today for drinks. I enjoyed everyone here! It’s a really nice vibe and the drinks are great! I will be coming back! 🙂

Great bartenders and vibe. Karaoke friday night

Great place to relax by the pool. Fun music

The rooms are small but perfect. They have all you need for a weekend getaway. Super dog friendly! I will definitely come back and visit.

Google
A nice gay-friendly hotel in the middle of town. Easy walk to just about everything. We stayed here several years ago so decided to do another night on our way back home. The pool area is cute and the bar is well stocked. We looked online and saw that there was a 2 night minimum and the price was under $200 for a night. Made reservations on the phone and got a room. It was my mistake to not ask the price of the room right then. When we checked out, the cost for one night was $450! If we would have known we would have stayed elsewhere and just visited the pool and bar. The room was nice but nothing special. The bathroom shower water pressure was so strong it hurt and there was no way to adjust the flow. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. We have stayed at gay-friendly resorts around the world and this was the most expensive with the least amenities. Such as a coffee bar, light breakfast, happy hour for guests, etc. Sorry we will not be staying there again. The lady at the front desk laughed when I told her I saw it was under $200 online.

Yelp
Always lots of fun and staff is very entertaining! Food on the whole is 4 out of five.

JW M.

Yelp
Rooms lack style, dated but supposedly renovated. They didn't honor my booking through a vendor but instead asked me to cancel so they could upcharge for a higher price. I wouldn't so they later cancelled my reservation on their own. They gouge their own community and don't seem to care about people, only their bottom line.

Blase B.

Yelp
We didn't know this place existed till we spent a really fun Fifth of July here, at a very queer-friendly pool party. We'll be back!

Daniel B.

Yelp
While it was a fun stay and the Karaoke was going well I watched the owner and the bartender forcibly and violently remove an elderly maybe home less man. I was shocked. so much for LQBTQ compassion. I will never stay again. so sad to see this in our community. I was wondering if the police ever got involved. I do have video footage. It was surreal and upsetting. they did very little for the LGbTQ community. A pox on their house.

Yelp
I was hosting a birthday weekend at the Russian River. Spent a day canoeing (love Burke's Canoes!) and had asked the R3 to set up tables for my group of about 30. It couldn't have been more perfect! They set up the chairs behind the bar and we just had a terrific, day-after-the-river happy hour. Ron the bartender was fantastic and thoughtful. I can't recommend the place highly enough. Thanks, guys, for a memorable 60th! Also, we had the appetizers catered from the adjacent restaurant, the Rio Bistro. Paul and Christina did a fantastic job. We picked 5 apps, they served them hot -- just terrific service. Just a perfect day.

Yelp
The rooms are good and the staff is great. I really enjoy staying here. The food is also pretty good as well. The drinks have a good pore and watch out for the frozen drinks, they are good but the catch up and get you drunk in a good way.

Marcus C.

Yelp
I have no problems with the actual resort/bar, The rooms are stocked with coffee/Water/AC (If you get the 1 room with AC), Great selection of drinks and local beer is second to none in the surrounding area of this small town. With that being sad this is the epitome of small town mentality. The bartenders enjoy over serving not only guests but the locals who frequent the bar/pool which makes for very sloppy patrons and a very bad look for the business itself. The owner and his manager are out of touch with reality angrily shunning guests with dogs because they are not on a leash, Meanwhile the owner and manager have their ill-tempered dogs (Boomer & Will) running around pissing/pooping/antagonizing the grounds of this establishment with no thought behind their own hypocrisy. Other than the mature locals cruising and doing drugs in the rooms/bathroom the environment is fine. Great music for those who enjoy the occasional nose-nachos. Darts, Karaoke and debachery for all ye who enter here. FIN

Yelp
Great place but the food in the restaurant is nothing like it used to be. The server insisted that the appetizer could not be served first while I was having my whine... It had to be served with the dinner. The appetizer was hot but the dinner was not. The server insisted this is the only way it can be done. I don't think he believed it - he was just repeating what they told him to say. He asked me how the food was and I said "I'll give it a 3." He just nodded and told me to let him know if he could get me anything else. Like what? Never again.

Timothy B.

Yelp
After a nice conversation this issue was resolved. Happy conclusion. Much obliged. Thank you

Yelp
We had an amazing experience here on a weekday in September 2020, after a short fire evacuation from our new present living paradise in G-ville, from a long haul evacuation from New York City. R3 has wonderfully thought out everything for a great get-a-way experience or staycation holiday - well planed and renovated rooms, entertainment space (when permitting) , amazing pool, great restaurant, Spaghetti Betty's, and did I mention a beautiful pool - the biggest draw, and most of all above all, the most terrific, accommodating staff. Thank you Louis and co for your hospitality, for being there after a long day or week, still with embracing arms to welcome back regular guests, or meeting new friends. We truly appreciate you, and the extent of your protocol on cleanliness, and following local and official c19 prescribed guidelines. We love the little gem we found today ! Well done !

Yelp
By all accounts this a gay resort Heres what you will expect: Walk in and be eyed by hot guys lying on beach chairs (wear your best... or least when you come in). Rooms are spread out around the exterior of the property. In the inside is a large deck with a small pool, two bars, and lots of lounge chairs and tables. You can expect dance music to be played almost all day (I think they take a break from like 3am-8am. Rooms are simple, but nice. All contain a fridge, bathroom, microwave, and an old school tv. I don't think any rooms have AC. Most people come to this hotel to party, meet and greet, and have fun. This is not the place to be quiet (there are other hotels in Guerneville for that). Bar is packed most nights during the summer with mostly locals, but also those staying at the hotel. Bartenders are nice, drinks are strong, they have lots of specials, and events most nights. During the summer they have a BBQ outside during the day and another bar. Location is great. Next door to another gay bar, down the street from a gas station, Safeway (grocery store), and the rest of town. Not a nude resort, but not kid friendly (must be 21+). I also think strait couples would have an awkward time here.

Miguel M.

Yelp
Love the staff. They're approachable able to hold a conversation and make you feel at home. Will definitely be coming back here.

SR W.

Yelp
I've been there a few times Myself,my best friend who lives here was there for Christmas Eve. Your bartender was fantastic! He kept everybody sober and happy and that's the best thing any bartender can do!! Thank you for such a controlled family of people and Bartender and service. Sincerely bird

Tree Boy I.

Yelp
Love the pool and the Gays here, but this 1 STAR is for the Lesbian at the bar that was unacceptably a complete female dog. I walked up and asked what the local IPA was and she barely noticed me and who I was with and gave us more attitude than I've ever experienced from a person in the service industry. Don't know her name, but trust me, when you experience her disgusting negative personality, you'll know who I'm talking about. As someone who has worked in the service industry for more than 15 years, coming to a place as iconic as the R3, her aura was the last thing I expected. I'd buy two margarita slushies. One to drink and one to throw in her face.

Terry M.

Yelp
Stayed over the weekend. There was a mix up with rooms and we were given different ones. This was OK. The bar/club was fun and the bartenders made it so. Met the owner who was very gracious but pushed that we had been upgraded which we thanked him for. The rooms were decent... recently remodeled. Actually the bed was comfortable. However, no hot water on Sunday morning so I could not take a shower. I've stayed elsewhere in the past and most likely will do the same

Daniel G.

Yelp
Thank you to the R3 for hosting me while I was working at a local hospital in the area. I will Be back to book this honeymoon suite for a week every year in the summer from now on.... Thank you for your hospitality during this difficult time

Louis Suo L.

Yelp
I have never seen a more unprofessional cancellation email. There was no apology, explanation, or mention of a refund. To me, it was joke that this even happened, because even the most inexperienced PR team can put together a better email than this. This is not how any service provider should communicate with its clients. If they don't feel embarrassed and remorseful for sending this kind of email, then that adds insult to injury. And this is not just me! I represent the many people whose trips got turned upside down because of this. Now that this hotel is not available, booking another place for lodging will be quite expensive... Mark my word that this review and the email will appear on other rating websites :) Pay attention, R3 Hotel! :)

Christopher W.

Yelp
First time staying here and I had a blast. The staff is absolutely lovely. Jennifer gets a shout out specifically for being my favorite. Luis was an angel as well. If you've never stayed here before, make it a priority in your life. You won't regret it. Can't wait to come back again.

Diane H.

Yelp
The bar here is so much fun!! And everyone that works at R3 has been so helpful and nice. I love being part of this amazing property. Thank you R3

Dina W.

Yelp
WE ARE GOING TO NEED MORE STARS! Myself, my neighbor and my cousin stayed at this amazing place the last weekend of March. It is not the "season" for family vacations or kayak rentals on the Russian River but who needs the river when you have this paradise of a place. I emailed with a few questions and spoke to Luis. He was always very helpful. By the way, R3 is pet friendly. They have Will & Boomer the dogs there to be buddies with your pet. We checked in and changed our clothes and sat out by the pool. There is plenty of seating. There is a stage for extremely fun shows. No shows were scheduled for this weekend. That does not mean there was not beautiful characters to look at. There is a bar at the hotel that has mudslide & a margarita machine. They have a full bar. Bring your own to enjoy in your room. (it does have to stay in your room due to Covid regulations.). I can not say enough about the staff. From the manager to the bartender to other people on property. My cousin, my neighbor and myself were treated so well by not only the staff but also the locals. The rooms were very cute. They had a microwave and a small refrigerator. This place has everything you need and nothing you don't. If you are up and walking around, you will need to wear your mask. Common sense here folks. This was a fun weekend. I would say, leave the kids with a sitter and let loose. There is a restaurant on the property. You can have food delivered to the table outside of your room. Betty Spagetti's! Excellent food. It is not just spagetti people. I love that R3 is a huge supporter of the LGBTQ community. If you are not a supporter, there are lovely hotels/B&Bs near by. This needs to be on your list for a fun, action packed weekend. It is walking distance to Jones Beach and so many other cool shops. Make sure you take in breakfast at Pats! I'm coming back for the shows, the service and the people. Thank you x infinity!!!!

Steve C.

Yelp
Drove 3 hours from San Francisco and the front desk said they booked my room for the night before. They provided no solution and the lady at the front desk was unapologetic about the situation...even though she made the error. It tools us hours of calling and driving around to try and find a room to stay in last minute.

Antony P.

Yelp
This place is small yet very nice, cute, and comfy. All the employees are very friendly and polite. I consider myself to be an extremely picky person, but I must rank this place 5 stars. I would highly recommend for you to stay here and give it a try for yourself. It makes you forget everything else and you just have a great time.

Michele W.

Yelp
Don't go to bars much, but I have to say that the staff is really nice and the drinks seem to be cheaper than other bars in the area. Some nights they have karaoke...and I love how they have old mixture of movies and videos playing on their tvs. I've actually stayed at the hotel a couple of times. If you don't like the noise make sure you stay in the back because around the pool area gets quite loud.

Craig D.

Yelp
Terrible business. Canceled my reservation 4 weeks before and after it was too late to book anywhere else in Guerneville.

Chester T.

Yelp
I'm so glad you're back! The new beds are so comfy. My favorite place to go in the world. Pool! Booze! Dog friendly! Oh and hella gay!

Ian M.

Yelp
I had a great stay at this place. Super friendly staff. The rooms are all newly redone and look great. I enjoyed hanging by the pool and meeting locals and getting advice on places to check out nearby. The attached restaurant was good too. Overall it was a fun and relaxing stay. I will definitely be back.

Edmer L.

Yelp
If you have issues with dogs, then let us know. I don't need to be yelled at to calm my dog while calming my dog; he wasn't doing much. Approach me with a lot more respect like I was paying a guest in your resort- like I was. Maybe I would be treated better if I wasn't brown.

Wesley W.

Yelp
Well maintained pool area. Enough chairs. Nice to have bar and restaurant onsite...both were satisfying and well priced. Great location - walkable to everything. Rooms were just okay. The missing stars are because of the music. Music is so important to the gay resort experience. We talked with other guests who also noted this issue. It is the weekend of Pride and the entire day Saturday the DJ played 70s music...it was awful. It continued Saturday night...the best music was played during the drag show...at least the drag queens know what good fun music is.

michael r.

Yelp
we came here 2 months ago . during the day the pool experience was ruined by two drunk straight girls who were not following the covid rules, drunk and in your assigned area , no masks, screaming cackeling, obnoxious behaviour. where were the staff? making them. more drinks. We came up from san francisco for an end of summer weekend. what a mistake to book a room here. its been nonstop screaming drunken cackeling from straight women. from 9-1am . it expect it to go on all nite cant sleep with this noise. this is a gay resort. why is this allowed? why are these straight women here, drunk, screaming all nite long? do yourself a favor, book a room at the woods resort, or highlands resort, at least they would have some security and not tolerate this bs. straight women: do us all gay guys a favor. please stay at your straight bars clubs and resorts. we are sick of it

Daniel A.

Yelp
I enjoy this place for what it is. A central place to stay at a reasonable price. Always seems to be some group of drunk people outside my room at 1am yelling obnoxiously. So when I do stay here I don't plan on sleeping.

Jordan B.

Yelp
All I can say is one of my favorite days of the summer was spent at this chill, fun & funky little pool. No worries no cares- come as you are.

Jay S.

Yelp
I came in this little bar with the best intentions there was a LGBT party going on I felt at home (lol), but you know when you just experience bad service you have to notate but I usually notate every experience. So I walked in with my domestic partner along with another lesbian couple they opened a tab asked me what I wanted I said mojito. How she said they was out of mint Yes I admit it rubbed me the wrong way. So I'm thinking about what I want so I started to ask her if she had Jose clear tequila but in the mist of me asking she moved her hand and arm in a motion like hurry up. In all my years of customer service I have never rushed a customer and no there wasn't anybody next to order we walked in and she was not even helping a prior customers. So it's not like I took her away from another customer. FYI don't open a tab unless you want to pay an automatic 20% gratuity regardless of the quality service or amount people in the party. Can a customer have a choice of how well your server did instead of automatically assuming? #R3hotel

Yelp
I live in the River area so I have never stayed here. This is NOT he place to come for solitude or peace and quiet. It is a fun, load, poolside, barside fun time. The rooms (yes, I have seen them) are a bit above ordinary. Nice and comfortable. Dog friendly. Rodger J. is the life of the r3 for sure!

Dave O.

Yelp
I just stayed at the R3 this past weekend. I was a little nervous because a couple of other reviewers commented on the state of the rooms, and had tried to stay elsewhere but everything was booked so when I opened the door and saw how spotless it was I was very pleasantly surprised. It was soooo clean. Everything seemed new also. It was a great weekend in a very clean room with great housekeeping each morning. The only downside from my perspective is it the hotel is busy morning, noon and night, and somewhat noisy, but thats part of the reason we go there I guess. Just to reiterate, The rooms were spotless,

Douglas B.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this cozy and fun little getaway. During this prelude to the off-season, I expected the R3 to be booked up, but when we arrived just after 7pm, my girlfriend and I found that there were still a few rooms to be had a reasonable rate. It wasn't swimming weather, but the room and property, including the pool area, were nearly immaculate. The bathroom and two double-bed room were spotless - and if I'm a stickler, my girl is twice as bad. We found nothing wanting, and the price was fair. As should be obvious from other reviews, the R3 isn't just gay-friendly, but gay-awesome. I can't comment on the restaurant, since we had dinner at Chef Patrick's nearby, but the bar was pleasant and not too noisy.

Michael L.

Yelp
This place rocks. Friendly staff and great drinks. Karaoke on Friday is packed and fun. Always good deals on rooms. Great pool. Food is good also.

Coy S.

Yelp
I'm thrilled to see the Triple R reopened as the R3 and putting a lot of fun into the summer. The pool scene is increasingly fun, and the bar staff are very friendly and seem to be having fun. Ate at the restaurant twice this week...once for dinner, and once for lunch. The food was pretty good, with the caveats below The fried chicken is actually pretty awesome. A decent wine list, featuring many local wines, including great Chardonnay and Cabernet from Raymond Burr winery in the Dry Creek area. In fact, you may see some of the Raymond Burr people there from time to time. The biggest disappointment is the "who cares" attitude in the restaurant. So what if we're out of several menu items on a Friday night. So what if I got your order wrong, you'll eat that, right? So what if the menu says brunch comes with a bakery basket...I brought the butter at least. Are you saying you still want the bakery basket even though I never checked back? The kitchen is slow, so eat your salads and I will bring your appetizer whenever its ready. It all seems so easily fixed. All the right elements are in place. It just has the feel of a place atill in its soft opening, but not really getting to the hard opening Maybe they just need a weekend with Gordon Ramsey whipping them into shape. Have not stayed in the rooms in more than 4 years, but I hear they need a bit of a refresh, consistent with the reviews below. This is th place to stay if you want a gay party scene outside the front door...for peace and quiet, there are other options in town.

william k.

Yelp
Great pool. Good sun. Nice people. Strong drinks. Went up for the afternoon and stayed the night. Thanks, R3! Had a blast.

Ken H.

Yelp
I've stayed here MANY times. Check-in easy. Staff extremely pleasant and efficient. Management easy to speak to and are always available. Rooms nicely furnished and CLEAN. I love it. Highly recommend. Ken HARBISON

Brandon P.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came up for the weekend late Friday night, so the office was closed. Checked in with the saving grace of the whole town, Roger the bartender. Made us feel immediately at home. Room was small, but adequate and clean. Spent most of Friday night at the bar with great chocolate cake shots and karaoke. Rooms and grounds a bit dated and need of upgrades, some wooden trash about. Maybe cause it's off season. Roger was literally the best part of the entire town.

Ralph K.

Yelp
A weird overpriced hotel - and just kind of gross. I mean it's entertaining, iconic and kitschy for sure, but the opposite of peaceful. An experience that I would not repeat. Ever. Especially for $200+. PS - Lots of spiders. My friend woke up with one on his face. Yeah.

Patrick P.

Yelp
We stayed here for the first time last night, a Saturday they were running a price special so thought what the heck. When we got there we thought it looked cute. The room, other then the TV has not been upgraded since the 70's, but it was comfortable and clean. We were on the second floor and it was very quiet. I wouldn't say the bed was comfortable, but we were tired from walking around the town all day so we slept well. The restaurant was very good. The pate appetizer was wonderful and my husband had a small pizza that was good. I had a steak dish recommended by the waiter, I didn't love it, but it was ok. Afterward we went into the piano bar and it was very nice and low key. We went into the other bar and it was crowded and loud, but seemed like everyone was having a good time. The grounds were really cute and a plus for us was they allowed dogs. We brought our Pomeranian and she had a great time walking the town with us. All the people we encountered were out of their way friendly. I had to ask several times if we were still in CA. I'm not sure we would stay again, for the price it was a small room and supposedly one of the bigger ones. No ATT signal at all or wifi. The room didn't even have a phone in it. To me that wasn't a bad thing. It was nice to have conversations rather then having people stare at their phones. All in all it was enjoyable, clean, friendly and close to all we wanted to do. I rather liked the "oddness" of it and felt very comfortable there. I think if you are in your 20's you would be better some place else. As a 50 yr old it was a nice get-a-way for the husband and I.

Samantha S.

Yelp
We had a great trip. It was wonderful being with our gay family at an all-gay Hotel. It was not the best accommodation I've ever had in the world, but the staff and other clients made it superb! You are not there to sleep and take long bags. You were there to hang out, enjoy the pool, enjoy the drinks, enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely be back to this location year after year. The prices were absolutely reasonable. I want to think Cindy who took care of our room and Matt who helps maintain the area. They were so gracious and helpful

Bryan B.

Yelp
My first experience at the R3 Hotel (when it was the Triple R) was me and a few friends sneaking into the hot tub one evening, and watching "famed" American Idol contestant Frenchie Davis belt out some cover songs. Eventually, we were kicked out of the hot tub but we knew we had to return to this magical place one day. Fast forward a few years, after a change of ownership and an updated moniker, me and 7 others found ourselves checking in to the R3 Hotel this past Memorial Day Weekend. One block away from the main street of Guerneville (including the Safeway and Rainbow Cattle Company), the Hotel was definitely proved to be one of the daytime party spots. The Russian River itself is usually too cold for swimming this early in the year. (Come back in July.) So what do all the gays do during the day? They lounge. They gab. They drink. They glisten. All with a disco soundtrack. Indeed, the pool area of the R3 fills up quickly with gays of various shapes/sizes/ages/body hair levels. I would actually say the peak traffic time for the spot is about 3pm-- when the serious tanners are getting brown and the hungover crew has finally made it back to the bar. It's lively and gay and exactly what you'd expect from a gay resort. The nighttime scene is less noisy, but not quiet. Overall, the staff were extremely pleasant, funny and nice. In terms of accommodations, this is where I have to take some points away. My group of friends had three rooms: Two 1-Double Bed Rooms and One 2-double bed rooms. My boyfriend and I were in Room 19 in the Tower, (1 Double Bed) while my friends were downstairs. Our room was literally the size of a closet. The room door opened into the bed and the one chair in the room blocked the coat closet. The sink was in the main room, on one side of the bed. Two people barely fit in the room itself. The other 1 Double Bed room was palatial by comparison. My problem was not with the size of the room insomuch that the rates between both rooms were the same. I understand that both rooms 'sleep' the same number of people, but it makes very little sense to pay the same amount for a 'standard' room vs. a room that was probably an old janitor's closet. The one plus was that we were tucked away in the tower-- no residual noise from the pool/patio area. All in All, The R3 Hotel was a great place for a lazy weekend of sun and drink with a pleasant mixture of jovial locals and visitors looking for a nice mixture of fun and play. If you're looking for a "spa" or "boutique" experience, I'd advise you to pick another hotel.

Edna T.

Yelp
Arrogance, ignorance, and greed are difficult to hide in a small town. It's amazing that they're on shameless display at the R3 Hotel! The owners and/or managers are wound so tight due to the dire financial straits they're in that they ooze attitude, and it's something you feel when you walk in the place. Perhaps they should spend less on hair dye (it's seeping into their brains) and more on facility upkeep, and prioritize having better relationships with the community. Only then will success follow.

Joe D.

Yelp
Check in at 3:00 PM and check out at 6:00 PM. Brought my dog from the city for a swim in the river. I thought I'd find a gay friendly place to relax, have a drink etc. My room smelled of mold, but the killer for me was the stupid club music pounding out of so many speakers. It was so crazy stupid. Old TV, Bad Beds, Old non matching towels. Road side Motel at best. There was no way I was taking a nap and I could not imagine trying to sleep during the evening. The place is just wrong on so many levels. Over priced! I simply checked out and drove back to the city.

David H.

Yelp
The room vs. price is very misaligned. The floor was damp - the room muggy - smelled like mildew - The only good thing about the resort was everything outside of hotel room (Betty Spaghetti and the Bar).

John G.

Yelp
Restaurant = 1 STAR BAR = 4 STAR I have been a guest at the old Triple R many times. We were back this weekend to see the new R3 Hotel. This time they where booked, so we stayed across the street at the Woods Resort. This was actually a wonderful surprise. The rooms abigger and all come with kitchenettes. This is great for keeping drinks and snacks cool. The pool is quite and relaxing. But when we were ready for some more excitement, we headed over to the R3 (1 minute walk). The pool and pool side bar was packed on Saturday afternoon. We stayed from 3-6. The bar staff was friendly, the drinks were strong and there was a ton of people to look at. Music pumped loudly across the whole pool area. The inside of the pool was pack, and everyone was checking everyone out. It was nice to return to the woods for another relaxing swim before heading out for dinner. We went back to the R3 Saturday evening after dinner for drinks (10pm). It was a much more relaxed atmosphere. There were about 15 people drinking and smoking around the pool. On Sunday we returned to the R3 for Brunch at the restaurant. Service was slow. There was one female server and 4 tables. The bread basket was not a basket, yet 1 muffin split in half on a bread plate. We ordered Eggs Benny and Corn Beef. The food was cold and not good at all. I have had a better brunch at Denny's. At $14 dollars a plate, your better off walking into town for brunch, then heading back to the R3 for drinks around the pool. The best part of the meal was watching the guys around the pool while we ate. Overall I give the restaurant a 1 star.

Yelp
So happy that the former owners who started the Triple R (Russian River Resort) have purchased the property back and are restoring it to it's former glory (and then some - the new sound system is great!) Stayed there over the weekend - comfortable bed & nice linens. Great friendly staff. Small but friendly crowd by the pool. It was perfect weekend weather for poolside lounging. Their bar is not open yet (Oct 2011) but they are hoping the license will come through in November. It was sad to see the RRR decline and close. Looking forward to snuggling by the fireplace on winter getaways and summer poolside fun. Everyone will be made welcome once again at R3.
