Sixpoint Brewery Is Opening a Taproom in Lower Manhattan | Eater NY

"The team behind Dromedary Doughnuts has opened Ra Ra Rhino at the back of the shop; the online menu lists a Vegemite martini (yes, really), a cocktail made with 34 types of rum, and snacks such as Spam fries and tartare." - Emma Orlow

A Bushwick Doughnut Shop Is Really a Tiki Speakeasy

"A hidden speakeasy tucked behind the shop's photo booth, this dimly lit room channels ’70s Miami raunch, anchored by a sparkling purple rhinoceros bust that periodically emits fog. Helmed by the doughnut shop's owners and its chef, the bar leans into tiki-influenced cocktails — rum, orgeat, Falernum, blue curaçao — alongside inventive choices like a subtly umami Vegemite martini; garnishes are deliberately restrained. The vibe is playful, theatrical, and decidedly late-night, offering a stark contrast to the bright doughnut counter out front." - Megan Paetzhold

Let me tell you. This is the SPOT!!!! Delicious food, amazing vibes, drinks ON POINT! Ask for bartenders Amir Seth & Zacharia. Zacharia made the most phenomenal rum shot mix (forgot the name but ask him Lol) I wish I got the DJs name music had me dancing all night 💃🎶

Love this bar! We wanted to check it out because I love Dromedary Bar, which is the sister bar of Ra-Ra Rhino. This new bar is hidden behind a donut shop (Dromedary Doughnuts), and has a quirky vibe (love the rhino decor that even reaches the bathrooms) and excellent cocktails. They’re not cheap, but every drink we ordered was top notch and the staff was great. We’ll be back!

Google
I went this past Saturday the bartender Joesph was super dope... he made me a drink called paper plane I believe... it was so gud... cool spot to chill and vibe at... and it's right next to The Monkey King...

Don't be fooled when you encounter a donut shop . Walk past the photo booth and you will be treated to an amazing bar out here in Bushwick. The space is small but the drinks and food pack a punch. Spam fries? Check. Donut duck sliders? Yes you heard what I said. Great team and management as well. A wonderful new place and nothing like it in this area of Brooklyn. Stop by and check them out

Google
Great music, perfect vibes, delicious drinks! Amir was very on top of the non-alcoholic offerings and even made sure I had a fake tequila shot whenever my friends ordered a round. Can't wait to go back!

Google
Overall rating: 4.8 I’m not sure why I thought a speakeasy in Bushwick would be an affordable price 😅 my friends and I walked by this place a few times a bit lost which is a first for me. Super cute & intimate speakeasy. Would love to come back to try food options.

Google
PSA: this place is a speakeasy hidden behind a donut shop you need to go inside dromedary donuts and around to find the entrance. Other than Monday & Tuesday they will have donuts available which is actually a great idea to pair with cocktails and one you don't see very often. We arrived on one of their bar crossover nights so the cocktails where very inventive but not their traditional cocktail list. I will say I did get a chance to peak at their regular cocktail menu and it looked pretty good (review update pending). The space was small but very cozy and the interior design was very unique as well. Honestly this would be a great 1st or 2nd date spot to flex on the person you're feeling sweet on.

Google
Cocktails are well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing. I’ve been here multiple times, and the drinks taste consistently great. The interior is super cute, the burgers are good, the service is friendly, and the music is a vibe.

Yelp
Had the awesome pleasure of stopping in for a few happy hr drinks. Ra Ra rhino is located in the back of another establishment. Upon entry you're greeted with a plush velvet interior. I'd already eaten so I was only stopping in for drinks. I indulged in the happy hr special which included 10 buck select drinks. Atmosphere was laid back. Service was good. I'd definitely stop in again.

Yelp
What a fun speakeasy! This one has been on my list for awhile and I finally made it for a friends bday. When you first walk in, it is a burger joint (unfortunately no gluten free options) and then you pass by a Photo Booth to go to the bar. I LOVE a Photo Booth and this one took very good pictures and they give you a digital copy both in photo and video. On a Saturday night, they had a pretty good DJ playing Afrobeats and reggaeton. The bartenders were nice and the margaritas were pretty good. Considering it's a speakeasy, I would say it's pretty spacious with a few booths and table, but would recommend you go there early if you want to be there with a large group. They allow birthday cakes from outside as well.

Yelp
Stopped in tonight (Thursday) after having dinner with friends next door at the monkey king. I wanted them to experience this beautiful speakeasy I first discovered through a yelp elite event. The decor right now is Halloween themed. The vibes were still great with a live DJ spinning a great mix of tunes . We chose to sit at the bar since we were already full from dinner and had amazing and friendly service from Amir. We only indulged in drinks which were 10/10. My first 2 times here I fell in love with a drink called "ceres" which is no longer on the menu but Amir made a really good, close version. My friends had the pacific rim and the hello kitty fizz. The pacific rim was really good, the hello kitty fizz was okay. I also had the lowkey ghost which is kinda like a spicy margarita which I also enjoyed.

Yelp
This was one of our end of night weekend stops. The server at the front of house was helpful in getting us in. This place was really empty on a Thursday night and it was refreshing. Service was quick and cocktails were good. The decore and music were on point.

Yelp
Nestled in the back of Lacey Burger behind the photobooth is the chic cocktail bar Ra-Ra Rhino. Decor definitely reminiscent of the NYC speakeasy vibe and of course has the bar's signature bright pink Rhino! Because I was there earlier in the evening, it wasn't super crowded and I was able to chat with the bartender and learn more about the bar's history. I came for happy hour, which features $10 cocktails along with a few other options. Of course, I had to get my favorite drink (espresso martini). It was expertly crafted (shoutout to Amir!!) and would absolutely get it again. While Ra Ra Rhino doesn't serve food, you can order food from the burger joint in the front and eat it in the bar. What could be better than a well-crafted cocktail paired with a burger and fries???

Yelp
This place is so cute. I came here for happy hour and sat at the bar. Me and a friend order drinks from the bartender. The martinis were good and I got the dirty on the side. The vibe is very backdoor speakeasy even a lil dark and the music wasn't bad either. After a few drink we went and had dinner next door at Monkey King. But we came back for the main attraction...DONUTS!! So they have a good selection just don't go so late like we did some if the options were sold out. However, the donuts we did have were delicious: Alscapone Peaches n' Cream cinnamon roll Classic chocolate with sprinkles A+ do recommend

Yelp
Ra Ra Rhino is a speakeasy cocktail bar with a vibrant tropical vibe, hidden inside Dromedary Doughnuts. From the moment you step in, the ambiance pulls you in. it's cozy and intimate, making it the perfect spot for a chill night out. We found this gem thanks to a recommendation from Munzi at The Monkey King, where we had an amazing meal and excellent service beforehand. Ra Ra Rhino is hidden. Don't miss the small bites you'll notice when you first walk in; they're featured with tasty hamburgers The vibe was on point from the start, with the DJ spinning an eclectic mix of Afrobeats, techno, R&B, and pop. We were lucky to visit on what seemed like a quieter night, so the energy felt low pressure. The decor is cool with a huge pink rhino centerpiece stealing the show. The walls are packed with eclectic artwork and bold wallpaper that compliments the lowkey but bold feel. The drinks were elegant, leaning toward creative mixology. A fun touch was the server placing a dry-ice panda on our table that added an unexpected flair to our experience. Service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the vibe. Bonus points for being an LGBTQ+ friendly space! Plus, there's a photo booth nearby where you can capture a fun memento of your visit.

Yelp
Ra Ra Rhino is a speakeasy cocktail / tiki bar that awaits you behind the Photo Booth within Dromedary Doughnuts. Ra Ra Rhino's makes well- prepared / delicious cocktails. Ra Ra Rhino is located In the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. Ra Ra Rhino's has a cool & laid-back vibe. We enjoyed this nice lounge space as part of Mother's Day 2024 Festivities. We came during Happy Hour, which is from 5pm-7pm & enjoy $10 cocktails that were on the HH Menu. These included the following: Lychicletta Crushable Margarita Fabulous Toki Highball Sazerac A Daquiri Of Course Having been the Ra Ra Rhino other times, the Lychicletta (St. Germain, Luxardo Bitter, Noilly Pratt, Martini Blanco, & Lychee) is one of my favorites. On Mother's Day, along w/ the Lychicletta, we had The " A Daiquiri Of Course" cocktail & the Crushable Margarita - both were pretty good. Staff are always friendly & attentive. Great Music - Pop, R& B, Hip-Hop,etc. plays in the background. Ra Ra Rhino's lighting, the beautiful Rhino Statue blowing smoke & the lounge-style seating, along w/ the quaint bar, add to Ra Ra Rhino's chic ambiance. Instagram - @rararhinonyc Open Tues. - Sun. - 5pm - 2am One can also order from their snack menu.

Yelp
Cute spot recommended by the bartender at monkey king. I love a speakeasy so it was a cool entry way from a burger spot through a photo booth into the bar. It's cozy and dim lit with a mixed crowd. They played like top 40's and I ordered a drink but it wasn't on the menu, it was okay. We didn't stay long just for a drink after dinner but it's a chill, lowkey spot.

Yelp
Hidden away behind the Photo Booth sign of the burger place, Ra-Ra Rhino offers up some cocktails with some Japanese liquor and has a dark, cozy speakeasy vibe. When I went on a weeknight, there was a DJ who played a solid set. Great for a date, catching up with a friend, or doing a 6-8 person birthday party (which was exactly what was happening when I went). A good spot to keep in your back pocket whenever you want something chill for a night out in Bushwick.

Yelp
- go behind the 'photobooth' at Lacey burger - speakeasy vibe - laceyburger staff is really nice as of the writing of this message laceyburger is not on yelp or google - I did not try the food, I wish I did - well crafted drinks - nice bartenders - fun music on a Friday night with DJ - low key vibe on a Friday evening - music is fun, but low enough to have a conversation - clean bathroom

Yelp
Went on a Friday night at 9 PM and there were tables but it was somewhat full but there was still seating for two people. Got the Lacy single burger, It was amazing and their fries were OK. Nothing special but good but not a huge portion. The music was amazing a lot of 90s rap and R&B. Definitely not the best place to talk.

Yelp
Eccentric cocktail bar, located behind a photo booth, in a donut shop. The concept is clever; you can enjoy a donut, take photos with your friends, and then enter a colorful space decorated with a mashup of themes: Polynesian tropical, African jungle, surrealist? There is little cohesion, but somehow it sort of works. My friends and I ordered a variety of cocktails, all of which were solid. My favorite was the Pacific Rim, a fruity, smoky stir of Siete Misteriois Doba-Yej, Herradura Blanco, pandan syrup, passionfruit, and pineapple. The Rhino's Wakeup was a standard dessert-in-a-glass espresso martini. The 34 Year Old Zombie contained the correct components, and was served in a cute golden owl mug, but consisted mostly of ice. The bartender was nice, even when I asked a bunch of annoying questions about what the theme of the bar was supposed to be. The donuts were good too; I got one that was filled with ube and topped with torched meringue.

Yelp
I didn't get to try the food, so I can't give it 5 stars. I do plan to return, the drinks were delicious and I feel like it's a great after dinner spot. Service was great and it had a chill cozy vibe to it.

Yelp
Zach makes really really great expresso martini's and elevates the experience here x10 (I'd say x10000 but he's not taylor swift so)

Yelp
I happened to stumble upon this speakeasy prior to dining at The Monkey King next-door, and it was the best surprise. I had no idea this place existed and I already can't wait to return. The spacious and beautifully appointed cocktail bar is located behind a photo booth curtain at a donut shop. I got lucky with a table for two with no reservations, but I can see this place filling up very quickly. We only stayed for a few drinks, and didn't get to try the food but the menu, while small had really interesting small plates. The cocktails were fun, inventive, and delicious. Cannot wait to return!

Yelp
Wow, what a great little tropical cocktail bar! I came out to Bushwick to see a show nearby. This bar was recommended, so I thought I'd try it out. Showed up around 6:30 on a Friday night and got a nice seat at the bar. The bartender was lovely to talk to, the staff were friendly and chill. The music added to that chill feel. The decor is a great "tropical" aesthetic, in a way that feels inclusive and relaxed, not kitsch. As for the drinks? Excellent! I had the happy hour Lychicletta (a kind of riff on the low ABV Italian Bicycletta), a mini Wake Up, Rhino, and a damned fine daiquiri. The drinks were balanced, well made, and the glassware is pretty, too! (Okay, I'm a sucker for gorgeous bar glassware.) I enjoyed myself so much that when I finally did get to that show nearby, I left at intermission and came *back* to this bar. I wasn't enjoying the show (bad seat!) and knew I'd have a better time back at Ra-Ra Rhino. :-) I got myself a donut from Dromedary up front (the Alscapone) and ordered a Hello Kitty Fizz to drink with it. Mmmm, fizz! Super yummy. Toki whiskey played really well with the tropical flavors of ube and coconut, and the super fizz makes it just a little bit fun to drink. Can't speak to the food, but the drinks were worth the trip from Manhattan -- I look forward to going back the next time I'm on the east coast.

Yelp
Overpriced drinks that are made with cheap liquor. Waitress was boorish and provided poor service. Too many other bars around this area that are cheaper with higher quality drinks and service. Would not recommend.

Yelp
A hidden gem that is a total vibe. The decor is fabulous. There's a rhinoceros that blows out smoke. The music is always on point. The drinks are great "The hello kitty fizz, Ma-Ma Mango and Espresso Martini are my favorite. The bartenders are amazing and efficient. Joe is a gem! I highly recommend you check this place out.

Yelp
Ra Ra Rhino is a back of the house operation. It's a speakeasy located behind a doughnut shop. Lots of interesting cocktails. It's a generally cool place to hang out. Plenty of seating. Two gender neutral restrooms; the one I used was handicap accessible. Handful of happy hour specials. Service was friendly.

Yelp
Been here 2x The good: came for cocktails on a weekend. The vibes are great, nice and attentive bartender. Cocktails are yummy and fair pricey for NYC. Cinnamon roll in the donut shop out front was huge! The bad: DO NOT ORDER THE BAR FOOD! Came last night for a second time. The food was disgusting. The cacio o Pepe beignets were cold and the bread was stale. Okay whatever it's bar food. Acceptable. But they had a martini and oyster promotion going on via instagram for 3 days. The oysters were disgusting and not as advertised. They were suppose to be east coast oysters but they were the ones from the south east... how do I know they had pea crabs in them. These are parasites that only cling on to south east oysters! We found them in every single one of the oysters we ordered The nail in the coffin was the duck was rancid. It smelt soiled. How would you serve this to a customer? Knowing that they would get sick. Should have known better when there was a sign saying that they didn't have donuts on Monday & Tuesday, that the food would be sitting out for days.

Yelp
This bar is insane. Absolute hidden treasure. Go through the photo booth in the donut shop to enter and it's absolutely a VIBE. Cocktails are unreal. Weekend happy hour 5-7 is such a treat. People were very nice. Highly recommend and will be back!

Yelp
This place is fantastic. The attention to detail is phemonemal, you can tell the staff there cares about your expierience and makes you leave happy. They have DJs on the weekends, the crowd is industry but very chill and laid back. I highly recommend trying the Vegemite Martini paired with the duck sliders; it left me a very happy customer.

Yelp
Really such a hidden gem! More people should def check this place out! The Staff is so sweet and attentive. The Drinks are delicious(and potent). Seating is comfortable, we were able to get a table for 7 when we got there a little early, and felt so happy, we stayed most of the night without having to bar hop. I highly recommend giving it a try! And honestly, spa fries are addicting LOL
