I've spent 3 months in LA drinking a lot of specialty coffee, so I was told to add Rabbit crew to my list of places to check out. Was a nicer space than I expected(not sure why I expected such a thing) and the staff were cool, coffee was decent(but I'm very hard to please). I would definitely go back! Check it out ✌🏽

Google
Consistently good boba. Their black tea selection is excellent - Earl Grey, Assam, and Oolong are all delicious. Boba is great - just sweet enough, and never over or undercooked. Good space for working.

Went here on the grand opening, the space is amazing, but the person taking orders couldn't have cared less. She was too busy talking to her friend, lounging around letting another girl who was quite sweet do all the work of making drinks. So it took a little while but the drinks were actually pretty good if a little pricey. However, couldn't have felt less welcome. Was hoping this place would be cool since it's right across the street from me, but I'll stick with Stumptown. These guys need to take customer service lessons from them. Poor first impression, won't be back. :/

Google
Really good coffee! Their drink menu is simple and all shots are ordered in pairs. The interior is spacious with lots of natural light and seems like a good spot for meetings or studying. Definitely coming back here.

Google
Really nice atmosphere, and delicious espresso. Had a sample of one of their single-origin drip coffees and it was fantastic. Coffee wise, if you're a fan of Bar-9 in Culver City, you can't go wrong with Rabbit Crew, as Bar-9 is their roaster and (to my knowledge) they use their beans exclusively.

Google
This place is phenomenal! I have never had such a gorgeously designed cappuccino made for me then the one I got here. Along with it I tried the avo toast with a poached egg and it was perfect. Great treats and great staff. Well done!

Google
Unsweetened Matcha Almond Milk Tea with Boba was almost perfect. The matcha had an earthy flavor that I loved and my drink was spot on. The boba took away from the drink because it was hard like it was stale...Next time hopefully the boba will add to the drink.

Google
Service was OK, not great. The food was really tasty but pricey and we are still hungry. The coffee was way too light for our taste. Very nice atmosphere since there weren't many people. It is probably really loud what the place is full.

Yelp
Not a big coffee drinker because of its bitterness , but the sweetness from the cream top evened things out. My sister got the matcha latte and she liked it too.

Yelp
Hands down, my favorite coffee shop in LA. We make it a point to stop here every time we visit. Must-tries: Creamtop Coffee, Matcha Creamtop, and honestly anything from the espresso bar. I'm a strict, black coffee gal, but their creamtops have won me over -- subtle, just sweet enough, and never overpowering the coffee or matcha base. I've tried to remake it at home but can never seem to get the same taste... Not a coffee lover? No problem -- their matcha is equally as good. Service is quick, interior ambiance is so warm and inviting. I'm longing for the day they open a location in the bay area (fingers crossed). No notes.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed because I was really excited to try the matcha latte with cream top that I heard everyone raving about. When I get there the barista said they discontinued the side of cream top, and they CANNOT add cream top on my matcha?? Like why? Their other drinks have cream top, It's not like they completely discontinued it. Like wish you could just please pour it on top of my drink. The matcha is a little bitter, it's a beautiful color and does have a strong matcha flavor it's just bitter. I get they don't want to compromise the intended flavors or whatever, but if people are raving and you're going viral for the cream top then why not give the people what they want. Especially when it's SO easy just to add it. Parking can be very difficult. The place is nice inside and has a great ambiance.

Yelp
2nd time here & it's busier than ever... I came on a Wednesday morning thinking there would be less people but it was packed with quite a line. Parking is street or $4 for 30 min at a lot 1 block away. Super fast paced ordering with the barista up front, you better know what to get asap or they get kind of upset lol. The shop is cute with wooden inside seating and an open bar concept. The creamtop is the best thing here. They are NOT doing the matcha latte cream top anymore if anyone is wondering. The matcha is premade but the latte color is still there. Great coffee, busy work space, with limited parking. It's giving peak LA :)
google avatar

Jillian L.

Yelp
This is a small coffee shop in downtown. They have a side lot so parking is not too bad. The people who work there are really kind and helpful. There were people doing work there but there are not too many tables or chairs inside.

Yelp
One way to get me out of the house is to invite me to coffee or matcha. We went on Memorial Day which is probably why there was a line outside the door. It moved fairly quickly though and we were still able to snag a seat inside (at the bar too). My boyfriend ordered the espresso bon bon which is a single shot of espresso topped with cream. The signature cream was incredibly good and I will be coming back here just to try the creamtop. They used to offer a side of cream but they stopped it as of May 1 (see photo). The matcha latte was not bad, but I wish they still offered that side of cream because the sweetness from the cream would have complemented it perfectly. The ceremonial grade matcha was astringent and had strong umami notes, so it needed more sweetener to balance it out. We loved sitting at the counter because we got to see a lot of the coffee being made. There were also plenty of tables where people were working or chatting. The drinks came out relatively quickly despite how busy it was, which we appreciated.

Yelp
The interior is a minimalistic, modern, industrial space with a Japanese flair. The natural tone of the place made me feel relaxing, though it was quite busy inside. I did like the various types of seatings, from communal benches, to individual stools, and bar seats. It was our first time and the cashier patiently explained the different kinds of drinks to us. We went with their signature Cream Top (coffee) and a matcha latte. Both were good, but I wish they would bring back the option to add cream top to the matcha. I ended up drinking more of my husband's coffee (as usual). There is not a dedicated parking area for this place (please correct me if I'm wrong), and street parking could be tricky, so be ready to walk a little bit. Walking around this area was not the most pleasant thing, but I think Maru was worth that walk. ;) Overall, 4.5 !

Yelp
This place is awesome. Coffee offerings here are worth every sip. The matcha also yielded great flavors to the touch. When walking in, you'll get a modern industrial vibe with a hit of Japanese decor. So fitting for the art district. As we approached the counter, the cashier was welcoming and helped us understand what their offering is and provided recommendations base on our preference. Super helpful. If you are looking for the perfect cup, this is the place to be. ***caution: Parking is quite taxing here. Be prepared to do a short hike.

Yelp
Tucked away and hidden in plain sight (at least to me because I've never seen this place and I drive down Santa Fe all the time) is this extremely cool little coffee shop that brings the minimalistic, neat and organized traditional vibes with some incredible tasting matcha and coffee. Photos don't do the matcha latte I linked under justice it was in my opinion one of the top 3 matchas ive ever had. They have some small bites to eat as well, I didn't order but I saw a lot of people going with what I think was a matcha crumble donut? It was small and green and looked great, especially if their drinks were this good. It can get busy around lunch time and breakfast rush, and seating is limited. But try it out, you won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
Maru is hands down my favorite coffee shop in LA. There's always a line, but trust me - it's absolutely worth the wait. The vibe is minimal, clean and hip - letting the coffee speak for itself. My go-to order? The cream top - an iced americano topped with a thick, luscious layer of cream. It's silky, satisfying, and surprisingly more affordable than the cold brew with cream top (even though I'm usually a cold brew girl, this is the exception!). There's some seating inside but it does fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Street parking is available but can be tricky (classic LA), so plan a few extra minutes to circle the block. Whether you're a coffee snob or just in it for the aesthetics, Maru hits the mark every time.

Yelp
Maru has a sleek, minimalist vibe. The matcha was top-notch, vibrant green with a rich, nutty earthiness. Quick service and friendly staff made the experience even better!

Yelp
I walked into Maru coffee on my way to meet up with a friend. Compared to the Los Feliz location, the atmosphere here is very spacious, with lots of seating and natural lighting coming in from their windows and skylight. The decor was Scandinavian minimalist (?) - it felt welcoming. The barista I encountered was very friendly as I glanced at their menu, trying to quickly order as more people suddenly gathered behind me. He was very patient and nice. I decided to give their iced matcha latte another shot. This time, I added the cream top as other yelpers suggested which compliments the matcha. The total for the matcha was $9.50 ( matcha $6.50, cream top $3) . "This better be the best matcha I ever had." I thought to myself as I sat down on the wooden bench. Upon receiving it I tried it with and without the cream top. - without creamtop: Better, much better than last time. The matcha was dark green, with an earthy, umami taste. I don't know if its worth paying $9.50. But it was really good, I'm not mad at it. - with cream top: I like how the cream top comes on the side. Note that the sweetness level depends on how much cream top you add. I added the entire thing. It tasted like sweet vanilla heavy whipping cream. But had I'd known it was really sweet, I'd only add maybe half. Something to note for next time. I want to come back the next time I'm on this side of downtown LA. It's a nice place to catch up with a friend or get some work done. While they have wi-fi, I didn't see any outlets so I recommend bringing all laptops and phones fully charged. And its better than the Los Feliz location (I'm still salty about that location).

Yelp
Maru went viral for its Matcha with the side cream top, but as of May 1, they no longer allow you to order the cream top on the side. However, the matcha is not bad on its own. It gas a strong umami flavor with some sweet notes. They have a good selection of pastries, and the almond croissant was nice and flaky. I liked the vibe of the cafe, too. There's a decent amount of seating, and there's also some street parking nearby.

Yelp
I've been to Maru Coffee's Los Feliz location and now I've conquered this super sleek and chic DTLA Arts District outpost. Chill vibes with all the neutral coolness you expect in LA designed coffee shops and the clientele are all equally as cool. It just feels super LA inside and I love that. Even with all those local vibes, this Korean-American owned shop is named after an old Korean term for mountaintop - San Ma Ru. This minimalistic aesthetic is welcomed with even the door merely melding into the wall without a distinct opening, It's dope. It's trendy and cool, so you'll almost always be met with a line. Welcome to great coffee in LA, you're usually gonna wait a few minutes. But take in the cool interior and equally fashionable crowd while you decide what you'll be ordering when you hit the front of the line. Most importantly, the coffee keeps me coming back to Maru's locations. I love the tiny Bon Bon espresso with the sugared rim, it's pick-me-up perfection. The cold brews never disappoint. I had their Lemonade this weekend and was shocked at how perfect it was. Not too sweet, not too tame, just right in terms of flavoring. And don't sleep on their matcha drinks, they're real and earthy and my friends & I love them. I also always love their baked goods, getting a divine chocolate chip cookie yesterday that took me less than sixty seconds to devour. I've been a Maru Coffee fan for awhile now but am happy I finally popped into the Downtown Los Angeles location of the shop. Consistency is key with local chains and Maru definitely doesn't disappoint!

Yelp
Parking can be a bit tricky at this Maru Coffee location, but once you're inside, the café has a clean, artsy, and minimalistic vibe -- very aesthetically pleasing. We ordered two matcha lattes with whole milk and an almond croissant. The matcha had a stronger umami flavor than most places I've tried -- not bad, just different and more earthy. The almond croissant was okay, but not particularly memorable. I do wish they warmed up their pastries. One small heads-up: as of May 1st, they no longer allow the cream top to be ordered on the side, which was a bit disappointing if you like customizing your drinks. There's a good range of seating, including tables that make it a nice workspace. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're already nearby, but not something I'd go out of my way for.

Yelp
Such a cute and zen coffee shop with a Japanese minimalistic vibe. They offer both coffee and matcha, which are both amazing. I got the Iced Matcha Latte ($6.50) with a side of Cream ($3). To be honest, the cream is a nice touch but not worth $3! It is nice that they provide it on the side for you to add, so you get a full cup of matcha though. As for the matcha itself, the flavor is strong with such good flavor. Definitely would get the matcha by itself next time!
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Zen like vibes that is clean, on point and social, with its cozy and clean design layout, it bring a kindness and humbleness of air that makes you feel chill and relax, service is some what great, would be nice to have a less chatty cashier so they can focus more on delivery and making sure drinks don't collect dust waiting. Drinks are good and tasty and is on point.
google avatar

Yelp
In the hearts of arts district and a must try matcha! This place has such nice vibes. Has a nice seating area for those wanting to sit and chat but not much space for studying (limited outfits). Line can be long but it goes fast! Staff I super great and their matcha latte is unbelievable! So creamy and a perfect nutty and sweet hint! Definitely a top matcha spot in LA!
google avatar

Felix W.

Yelp
I tried all three blends of Espresso and they were all quite good especially if you enjoy espresso higher acidity. 4.5/5 San-to Blend was smooth, full-bodied, and acidic with chocolate notes coming through well. Kemi blend had a good layer of crema and I tasted the citrus notes. San Mi blend was my favorite. It had a creamy mouthfeel and was fruity notes coming through well.

Yelp
Decided to try Maru coffee to see if the hype lives up. Fair warning, this location is in downtown LA, and thus only street parking is available. That being said, was not that difficult to find parking on a Saturday. When we arrived, there was a line out the door, that being said it moved very quickly. Service is great, and staff is very nice. Location itself is bright and inviting, with seating available throughout Matcha Latte: let me preface that I do not drink matcha normally. However, The matcha latte was very very nice, earthy, but delicious, and it seemed like very good quality matcha. It is not overly sweetened. Creamtop: I am more of a coffee drinker, the cream top sweetener on the top was really good, salty and sweet. The coffee itself desperately needs that cream, though and I've had better coffees elsewhere. Overall, worth a try, I probably will stick to other coffee places but was pleasantly surprised by the matcha.
google avatar

Maddy T.

Yelp
Super yummy matcha. Their popular drink is the cream top matcha. Because they are so busy, rather than weighing out every matcha and whisking on the spot, they have a large tub they scoop it out of. Seating area is relatively small, not very study friendly. Only street parking
google avatar

Yelp
When people talk about matcha latte in LA, Maru is always on the must try list. We came on a rainy Sunday, and there was a short line inside, which was not common, and it got pretty busy again after we got in line. The space is minimalist and open, 100% a vibe. But it was so crowded, it negated the calm quiet atmosphere it intended. Espresso bon bon: 8/10 sugar rimmed but not too sweet Matcha latte: 7/10 (Probably shoulda gotten the cream top. Maybe next time) So for me, the matcha latte was just okay. I heard matcha was premade, which is kinda disappointing. My friend liked the beans he bought. I don't think I would go out of my way to return but wouldn't mind getting a cup if I'm in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Maritza A.

Yelp
Finally stopped by Maru Coffee in LA and it definitely lived up to the hype. The vibes were amazing--minimal, calm, and super aesthetic. It was pretty busy when I went, so finding seating was a bit of a challenge. One thing I really appreciated was that they prepare their matcha the traditional way--it's always a good sign when you see the care going into each cup. I ordered the iced matcha latte, and it was solid! Very strong and earthy, which I actually liked, but I do wish it was just a little sweeter. Still a great cup if you're into bold matcha flavors. Would totally come back when it's less crowded to soak in the vibes and try another drink!
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Wow. The cream top definitely lives up to its hype. A local recommended this to us in line and we're so glad we listened! I got it as an add-on to my vanilla bean latte and it made my drink so rich and creamy. Almost like a dessert coffee that isn't overly sweet. It paired really well together and I'm looking forward to the day I come back for this again. Ambiance is very calming. I love the neutral decor and incorporation of live plants. Wonderful place to study or work, but absolutely packed on the weekends. Make sure to come early to secure a spot and bring some headphones!
google avatar

Leslie L.

Yelp
$9.50 for the matcha latte with cream top. They premake their matcha and leave it in a giant bowl. I thought to myself that couldn't be true so I watched them make my drink. To my surprise this is exactly what they did. They also don't measure their ratio of milk, syrup nor amount of the premade matcha they are scooping. So disappointing, and the flavor wasn't even good. Parking is a hassle as well. Tip to the owners, maybe whisk fresh matcha for the drinks like most shops do to have a more fresh taste. Interior is nice. Service was fine as well.
google avatar

Alyssa A.

Yelp
The matcha was really good! I would say it's medium bodied, and more umami than sweet. They don't add sweetener unless you ask, but even with the agave it's not overbearingly sweet. If you get the cream top and mix it in, that adds enough sweetness! Line could get pretty long, but it goes by fairly quickly. A very clean and contemporary coffee shop with seats inside; I saw that some people bring laptops to study/do some work, although the environment isn't too quiet.
google avatar

Phuong T.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee spots in the arts district. Really good matcha and i love their vanilla iced latte as well. Gets busy sometimes in the morning with a line out the door but lots of seating, chill vibes, and good drinks.
google avatar

Shwe N.

Yelp
never have i ever thought to spend nearly (basically because $9.50) $10 on an iced matcha latte... last day they were serving the sweet cream on the side ($3) so i wanted to try -- very yom very sweet the matcha itself -- yom so rich in flavor matcha and cream together -- v goood ahhh however; is $10 justifying the quality? along with that and the limited parking NAUR XD don't know if i would come back often but it is the real deal! just not worth my time/value lol
google avatar

Natalia J.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this for so long Tbh, just okay. It was nothing phenomenal and the most notable thing was the cost of the cream top if you want to add it to the matcha ($3 and you have to do it yourself) which drives the price of your matcha latte up to $10. Their pastries were decent but not my favorite, though it would've helped if they were toasted perhaps. Just alright. Cute space but not many places to sit and it's not in a wonderful area with things to do or walk to afterwards.

Yelp
A small but hip and delicious coffee spot in the Arts District just east of DTLA. There are multiple locations around the city, but this was my first time trying this location. It was quite crowded when we arrived around 11AM on Saturday, but the line moves pretty fast. Inside has a lot of tables and had a lot of people sitting working on computers and reading books and had a great coffee shop vibe. They don't have a parking lot, but free street parking is easy to find in this part of town. The barista at the counter was very polite and also gave some good recommendations. The menu is fairly small with limited options, especially flavor options, but everything that we ordered was very good. For this visit I ordered a Vanilla Bean Latte and really enjoyed it. I wish they would have larger sizes available because I drank it very fast and enjoyed every sip. I also got a shot of espresso on the side and that was a great pick me up for my midday. I would definitely recommend to anyone searching for a great coffee shop and I will be back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Really hyped coffee shop in Los Angeles. I was excited to try one of the most popular coffee places and went in with high expectations. It was a long line on a Saturday afternoon. The line was continuously long the rest of the day. I had their cream top matcha latte and it fell really short of my expectations. It was tasted really watery which was disappointing considering it had a nice green color. The cream top was really good though There is a decent size seating area but it gets crowded and the turnover isnt great since people are here to study.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Been wanting to try Maru's ceremonial matcha latte and I must say, you definitely get your money's worth here for high quality, non-diluted matcha. I actually think they have one of the best matcha lattes in LA. There was a line when we went around ~9/10ish on a Saturday but it moves quickly. Staff were patient in answering my questions about their drink selection, as well as informing me that a side of their renowned cream top would've been an additional $3 (no thank you). I really like the minimal, open and bright atmosphere of this location. Compared to its newer sister branch in Beverly Hills, this one in DTLA actually has available seating and better parking options (we found free stall parking a block down). I don't think I would come here to study/work though, esp since outlets aren't super accessible nor plentiful. Overall, until I discover an even better option, this is now my go-to for matcha if I ever find myself in the area(:

Yelp
4.5 star. This place is always crowded on the weekends. Street parking. Happy with our order this time. The Iced Matcha Latte and Vanilla Bean Latte (both hot and iced) are fairly good. Pastries were solid. Bf liked his Plain Croissant and Kouign-Amann. We were told the Kouign-Amann had miso filling, which was interesting. However, the round caramelized layer is pretty sweet and chewy. The Banana Bread was decent. Didn't wow me, but will satisfy a banana bread craving. DRINKS: Iced Matcha Latte 5/5 Just right. It's grassy and tastes very lightly sweetened, but palatable. One of the better matcha I've had. Most Iced Matcha Lattes I've had are either unsweetened (overly grassy and/or bitter) or too sweet. This one has the right balance. Vanilla Bean Latte (iced or hot) 4.5/5 Pretty good Cream Top 3.75/5 Wanted to like this and it's not bad, but the drink felt a bit lacking. Overheard someone ordering it with oatmilk. I think I'll try that next time. PASTRIES: Plain Croissant 4.5/5 Kouign-Amann 4.5/5 Banana Bread 4/5 Looking forward to try Espresso Bon Bon next time.

Yelp
I visited to try their matcha and I very much enjoyed it. Although the size was small and they didn't have an option for a larger size. The space is open and minimal decor. The music was very zen and relaxing but it didn't really go with the vibes because it was pretty full in there. There were several people working on their laptops and a lot of people taking their coffee to go. Overall I enjoyed my visit and would come back.
google avatar

Dave H.

Yelp
No longer offers cream top matcha latte. It's odd that they offer cream top for coffee, but not for matcha. (Reason such as selling highest quality with balance of flavors etc) NGL, coffee and matcha latte taste unbalanced/inferior without the creamtop - the cream top was the balance that people drove for. They refuse to sell the cream top in a small cup like they used to. Also, they no longer offer it for both their locations. Goodbye Maru, you were the king for cream top matcha latte.
google avatar

Nancy B.

Yelp
I love Maru coffee! I've only ever been to the Beverly Hills location so it was nice seeing this location when I was in the area. I ordered my favorite the cloud latte. That cloud foam is so delicious and the coffee is so smooth. It's not too sweet at all. Staff was nice but the lines are always out the door. But they move quickly to get you your order fast. Parking around the corner.
google avatar

Yelp
Think everyone is inflating their taste buds a little but this didn't live up to my expectations. I came here twice before making this decision and alas, same experience both times. Doesn't warrant a full 3 out of 5 so I'll round up my 3.5 to 4. Been on a matcha journey per the popularity of it right now and found that MARU was a bit underwhelming. All of my matcha loving friends also seemed to agree. Was a little shocked to see that most of it was premade since I saw it being scooped out from a bowl. I understand since sure it gets busy but also a little disappointing. Their espresso was very solid however the price was a little in the pricier side. Ambiance and aesthetic is great and parking on the street ins available. I'll come back to try it again maybe this time with the cream too everyone talks about but I don't know if $3 for cream will sit well with me.
google avatar

Jenny E.

Yelp
I love Maru! This was my first time trying this location, and it did not disappoint! My matcha was prepared super fast and was great as always. The matcha is not too sweet, so if that's not your thing, I suggest adding sweetener. There is a good amount of seating inside, with a few outlets around. As a tip -- I discovered that you can order a matcha with a cream top for an additional $3!
google avatar

Joanne D.

Yelp
There's parking on the side or street! I came on the weekend and there was a line. I really like their matcha with the cream top. They having seating options, minimal decorations. The staff are friendly and will give you a good recommendation if you're unsure.

Yelp
I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. This was one of the best matcha lattes I've ever had. I make a lot of matcha lattes at home but I was really craving one on my way into work. The matcha was slightly grassy and very forward in the drink. Not sweet at all, which is how I prefer it. I also got a spinach and cheese croissant that was flaky and delicious! The service was fast. The inside was clean and there were some people on laptops so the vibes were really chill. Not too much parking but I found a spot along the road. Very affordable for the quality of the matcha and pastries. Under $15 total (not too different from Starbucks). I'd recommend this place for people who prefer simple matcha lattes but not the overly sweet Starbucks matcha lattes.
google avatar

Kislev A.

Yelp
The line was out the door and down the sidewalk on a Saturday afternoon. The indoor dining area was full with people working/studying. There were people just enjoying the drinks, too. People were coming and going in the dining area. Came for the coffee beans and you get a free pour-over or cold brew if you buy a bag. Yes!!! The beans were freshly roasted! Got one that was roasted a couple of days before this visit.

Yelp
Frequent the Silverlake Maru often so decided to drop by the dtla location when I was in the area. The aesthetic is minimalist and simple. I appreciate that there is more seating than the Silverlake location. The line was about 10 people deep but moved quickly. Ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk and for whatever reason found it to be mid. Maybe not earthy matcha enough and rather more milk forward? It was unfortunate because I'm a huge proponent of the Silverlake Maru and matcha. It was nice to be able to sit inside and work on my laptop for a bit. The matcha was good but I know Maru can do better. Still decent though!

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this coffee spot -- ordered the Matcha Latte and Vanilla Bean Latte -- so good. Also tasted the coffee cake donut, which was really delicious ... would have preferred that it was not so cold, but still very tasty. There was a line, and street parking can be tricky.

Yelp
I've come to Maru coffee a few times! The matcha is a strong, creamy, super smooth, and earthy. If you really like matcha, without the a bunch of sweetness and syrups, you'll like this one.

Yelp
Loved this place. Located in southern part of arts district. Plenty of parking street side. His ambiance and very friendly baristas. Solid array of pastries. Had almond croissant which was delicious. The Ethiopian pour over was so good I had to take some beans home. Very bright, fruit forward with some mild tea like characteristics. Stiff competition in downtown LA coffee scene but they are in top tier.

Yelp
Parking is insanely hard to find in the area. Once you get lucky with a spot, you'll be met with a line at the coffeeshop, but don't worry because it does move fairly quickly. Also, despite the line, the baristas somehow crank out drinks in decent time without compromising on the craft. This visit I tried the Creamtop and it was really really good. The creamy top is the perfect level of vanilla sweet goodness; it's thick, frothy, and super creamy. They have limited seating available inside.

Yelp
Solid matcha spot! Kinda hurts that the cream is +$3 but I like the sweetness it adds to the matcha. I like the interior but I wouldn't recommend it for working unless you only have a laptop. Space is limited and street parking only.

Yelp
I like their matcha because of their cream top. when I got there they refused to give me the creamer which THEY ARE KNOWN FOR to put on top of my matcha saying "they don't do that anymore" & "don't wanna jeopardize the taste of matcha". meanwhile they're still putting creamers on top of their coffee orders right in front of my eyes! I was told that it's to show respect towards the real japanese ceremonial matcha tradition. well, I was born & raised in japan & they don't drink matcha latte like we do here & some already find matcha latte unorthodox. they also don't consume the same amount of naturally bitter matcha power in one serving like the matcha latte drinkers would in the US(cz it'd be too bitter). therefore, it's unrealistic & unethical for them to make us drink that thing without the creamer! it honestly tastes unpleasant. it's also ridiculous & ironic for them to all of the sudden change the business model in the name of showing the japanese respect & loosing a japanese customer instead! I won't be back.

Yelp
From the physical space of this store to the website, this minimal coffee shop meets the needs of creatives looking for inspiration or a relaxing space. They are known for using Ippodo Matcha Ikuyo, a balanced matcha with a medium-light body and a bright aroma. Beware of waiting in line as this place is popular amongst LA natives. You can usually see a line out the door (even on a Sunday morning around 9-10AM) Compared to the Los Feliz location, this one is bigger on the inside and even waiting outside is not as bad as you would expect. It's aesthetically pleasing as the interior is clean with wooden furniture that includes a variety of seating to accommodate different customers. The large windows and doors allow for natural lighting which can benefit those who need to focus on work (e.g., improvement for mood/well-being and enhanced productivity). Bonus points for a clean bathroom! Some pastries to try include: 1. The Strawberry Almond Croissant (soft, not overpowering) 2. Chocolate Chip Cookie with Sea Salt 3. Matcha donut All the pastries are simple and not overly sweet. If you go, you must try their Matcha! Definitely a 5/5. The drinks are unsweetened, but you have the option to add sweetener to them. The server was helpful in choosing drinks (seemed knowledgeable about coffee and made comparisons with Starbucks for better understanding of what to order). Overall, this space serves as a peaceful location to deep dive in work or spend quality time with a friend. Note: There's only street parking that tends to fill up quickly and if you are attempting to study, there's little to no outlets.
