Rabbit Crew Coffee & Tea

I've spent 3 months in LA drinking a lot of specialty coffee, so I was told to add Rabbit crew to my list of places to check out. Was a nicer space than I expected(not sure why I expected such a thing) and the staff were cool, coffee was decent(but I'm very hard to please). I would definitely go back! Check it out ✌🏽

Consistently good boba. Their black tea selection is excellent - Earl Grey, Assam, and Oolong are all delicious. Boba is great - just sweet enough, and never over or undercooked. Good space for working.

Went here on the grand opening, the space is amazing, but the person taking orders couldn't have cared less. She was too busy talking to her friend, lounging around letting another girl who was quite sweet do all the work of making drinks. So it took a little while but the drinks were actually pretty good if a little pricey. However, couldn't have felt less welcome. Was hoping this place would be cool since it's right across the street from me, but I'll stick with Stumptown. These guys need to take customer service lessons from them. Poor first impression, won't be back. :/

Really good coffee! Their drink menu is simple and all shots are ordered in pairs. The interior is spacious with lots of natural light and seems like a good spot for meetings or studying. Definitely coming back here.

Really nice atmosphere, and delicious espresso. Had a sample of one of their single-origin drip coffees and it was fantastic. Coffee wise, if you're a fan of Bar-9 in Culver City, you can't go wrong with Rabbit Crew, as Bar-9 is their roaster and (to my knowledge) they use their beans exclusively.

This place is phenomenal! I have never had such a gorgeously designed cappuccino made for me then the one I got here. Along with it I tried the avo toast with a poached egg and it was perfect. Great treats and great staff. Well done!

Unsweetened Matcha Almond Milk Tea with Boba was almost perfect. The matcha had an earthy flavor that I loved and my drink was spot on. The boba took away from the drink because it was hard like it was stale...Next time hopefully the boba will add to the drink.

Service was OK, not great. The food was really tasty but pricey and we are still hungry. The coffee was way too light for our taste. Very nice atmosphere since there weren't many people. It is probably really loud what the place is full.

Maru's espresso tonic is one of my favorites at the moment. It's on the lower end of sweetness, which I prefer and is just simple and very "straightforward and to the point." Espresso quality is also good. And they also carry a handful of vegan pastries - my go-to is their pumpkin spice donut, which is lightly dusted with powdered sugar, and very moist. Parking: street parking is always an easy find around here :)

We came on the 1st and when we walked in there were so many people just standing around. We were helped and then we waited for our coffee. This place is popular so be ready to chill and enjoy the vibes. Each drink is made carefully and deliberately.

Maru Coffee in Downtown LA was... okay. The shop itself has a very classic LA aesthetic minimal, cute, a little chaotic, and definitely leaning into that modern, curated vibe. It's photogenic for sure, and you can tell they're going for that "cool without trying too hard" energy. As for the coffee, it was fine, but I honestly think Maru Espresso Bar delivers better if you're a real coffee drinker looking for depth and flavor. Maru felt more like style first, coffee second. Not bad, just not mind-blowing. Customer service could've been better. The line felt a little unorganized and the energy from staff wasn't super welcoming. It had that stereotypical LA coffee shop vibe where you don't really feel like you're encouraged to sit, relax, or enjoy your drink. More of a "grab your coffee and go" situation rather than a spot you want to stay in and unwind. Overall, it's a solid 3/5 stars for me. Would I go out of my way to come back? Probably not. Would I stop in if I happened to be nearby and needed a quick coffee? Maybe. Cute spot, okay coffee, aesthetic for the vibes but not somewhere I'd choose as a go-to.

Maru Coffee is one of my favorite coffee spots in the Art District. It's a cozy yet busy café with low-key jazz playing in the background, giving it a relaxed but creative vibe. Seating and street parking are limited, but that just adds to its charm. I usually order the bonbon, a warmed croissant, and a sweet top latte--everything is consistently delicious and well crafted. The service is always friendly and efficient, even during the rush. I also love the artsy crowd that gathers here; it really fits the neighborhood. Maru Coffee is the perfect place to grab a quality cup, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy a moment in the Arts District. Definitely a spot worth trying at least once--and probably more after that.

If you're into strong coffee and bold, non-creamy matcha, this spot is perfect for you. The service was quick and really friendly. I wanted to love it, but it just wasn't for me..

2nd time here & it's busier than ever... I came on a Wednesday morning thinking there would be less people but it was packed with quite a line. Parking is street or $4 for 30 min at a lot 1 block away. Super fast paced ordering with the barista up front, you better know what to get asap or they get kind of upset lol. The shop is cute with wooden inside seating and an open bar concept. The creamtop is the best thing here. They are NOT doing the matcha latte cream top anymore if anyone is wondering. The matcha is premade but the latte color is still there. Great coffee, busy work space, with limited parking. It's giving peak LA :)

We found this place on yelp and decided to try it. The decor inside is minimal and clean. We got 2 small vanilla lattes and a croissant. This place didn't have a lot of flavors just the basic ones. The croissant was very good. The coffee was very smooth and delicious. You can tell all the things they use are quality ingredients. The coffee cups are small but they definitely do the job I was not tired all day. Definitely a must try!

Such a cute little cafe! Maru is where you go to get things done during the day since it closes around 5. Their WiFi is fast and there was seating when I arrived but I imagine that it can get busy pretty fast. They had little pastries if you're feeling peckish and outlets if you need a charge. The seats are wooden and aren't the most comfortable to sit in, but it's a place to get things done rather than leisure. I had diet signature coffee that had a cloud top and I enjoyed it most when I swirled the sweet foam into my coffee because it was so bitter. They have a separate little office space that doesn't look like a reservation was required but people were seriously checking off their todo lists in there!

Hands down, my favorite coffee shop in LA. We make it a point to stop here every time we visit. Must-tries: Creamtop Coffee, Matcha Creamtop, and honestly anything from the espresso bar. I'm a strict, black coffee gal, but their creamtops have won me over -- subtle, just sweet enough, and never overpowering the coffee or matcha base. I've tried to remake it at home but can never seem to get the same taste... Not a coffee lover? No problem -- their matcha is equally as good. Service is quick, interior ambiance is so warm and inviting. I'm longing for the day they open a location in the bay area (fingers crossed). No notes.

One way to get me out of the house is to invite me to coffee or matcha. We went on Memorial Day which is probably why there was a line outside the door. It moved fairly quickly though and we were still able to snag a seat inside (at the bar too). My boyfriend ordered the espresso bon bon which is a single shot of espresso topped with cream. The signature cream was incredibly good and I will be coming back here just to try the creamtop. They used to offer a side of cream but they stopped it as of May 1 (see photo). The matcha latte was not bad, but I wish they still offered that side of cream because the sweetness from the cream would have complemented it perfectly. The ceremonial grade matcha was astringent and had strong umami notes, so it needed more sweetener to balance it out. We loved sitting at the counter because we got to see a lot of the coffee being made. There were also plenty of tables where people were working or chatting. The drinks came out relatively quickly despite how busy it was, which we appreciated.

This place is awesome. Coffee offerings here are worth every sip. The matcha also yielded great flavors to the touch. When walking in, you'll get a modern industrial vibe with a hit of Japanese decor. So fitting for the art district. As we approached the counter, the cashier was welcoming and helped us understand what their offering is and provided recommendations base on our preference. Super helpful. If you are looking for the perfect cup, this is the place to be. ***caution: Parking is quite taxing here. Be prepared to do a short hike.

Cream top + Colombian Espresso + fresh beans! Service is always lovely! I also met a couple that was drinking the breve macchiato I can't wait to try that next time. Energy inside is always peaceful. Great way to start the day. :)

The interior is a minimalistic, modern, industrial space with a Japanese flair. The natural tone of the place made me feel relaxing, though it was quite busy inside. I did like the various types of seatings, from communal benches, to individual stools, and bar seats. It was our first time and the cashier patiently explained the different kinds of drinks to us. We went with their signature Cream Top (coffee) and a matcha latte. Both were good, but I wish they would bring back the option to add cream top to the matcha. I ended up drinking more of my husband's coffee (as usual). There is not a dedicated parking area for this place (please correct me if I'm wrong), and street parking could be tricky, so be ready to walk a little bit. Walking around this area was not the most pleasant thing, but I think Maru was worth that walk. ;) Overall, 4.5 !

Love this place!! Their mocha wasn't overly sweet like many coffee shops and actually was more on the bittersweet side - very much like a dark chocolate. It gets very crowded on weekends however, so expect not being able to find seating.

I walked into Maru coffee on my way to meet up with a friend. Compared to the Los Feliz location, the atmosphere here is very spacious, with lots of seating and natural lighting coming in from their windows and skylight. The decor was Scandinavian minimalist (?) - it felt welcoming. The barista I encountered was very friendly as I glanced at their menu, trying to quickly order as more people suddenly gathered behind me. He was very patient and nice. I decided to give their iced matcha latte another shot. This time, I added the cream top as other yelpers suggested which compliments the matcha. The total for the matcha was $9.50 ( matcha $6.50, cream top $3) . "This better be the best matcha I ever had." I thought to myself as I sat down on the wooden bench. Upon receiving it I tried it with and without the cream top. - without creamtop: Better, much better than last time. The matcha was dark green, with an earthy, umami taste. I don't know if its worth paying $9.50. But it was really good, I'm not mad at it. - with cream top: I like how the cream top comes on the side. Note that the sweetness level depends on how much cream top you add. I added the entire thing. It tasted like sweet vanilla heavy whipping cream. But had I'd known it was really sweet, I'd only add maybe half. Something to note for next time. I want to come back the next time I'm on this side of downtown LA. It's a nice place to catch up with a friend or get some work done. While they have wi-fi, I didn't see any outlets so I recommend bringing all laptops and phones fully charged. And its better than the Los Feliz location (I'm still salty about that location).

The coffee here is so good! It's worth coming to when it's not packed but even when it is the line goes by fast. There's a lot of influencer aesthetic here & influencers. Love coming here for the cream top coffee.

I've been to Maru Coffee's Los Feliz location and now I've conquered this super sleek and chic DTLA Arts District outpost. Chill vibes with all the neutral coolness you expect in LA designed coffee shops and the clientele are all equally as cool. It just feels super LA inside and I love that. Even with all those local vibes, this Korean-American owned shop is named after an old Korean term for mountaintop - San Ma Ru. This minimalistic aesthetic is welcomed with even the door merely melding into the wall without a distinct opening, It's dope. It's trendy and cool, so you'll almost always be met with a line. Welcome to great coffee in LA, you're usually gonna wait a few minutes. But take in the cool interior and equally fashionable crowd while you decide what you'll be ordering when you hit the front of the line. Most importantly, the coffee keeps me coming back to Maru's locations. I love the tiny Bon Bon espresso with the sugared rim, it's pick-me-up perfection. The cold brews never disappoint. I had their Lemonade this weekend and was shocked at how perfect it was. Not too sweet, not too tame, just right in terms of flavoring. And don't sleep on their matcha drinks, they're real and earthy and my friends & I love them. I also always love their baked goods, getting a divine chocolate chip cookie yesterday that took me less than sixty seconds to devour. I've been a Maru Coffee fan for awhile now but am happy I finally popped into the Downtown Los Angeles location of the shop. Consistency is key with local chains and Maru definitely doesn't disappoint!

Such a cute and zen coffee shop with a Japanese minimalistic vibe. They offer both coffee and matcha, which are both amazing. I got the Iced Matcha Latte ($6.50) with a side of Cream ($3). To be honest, the cream is a nice touch but not worth $3! It is nice that they provide it on the side for you to add, so you get a full cup of matcha though. As for the matcha itself, the flavor is strong with such good flavor. Definitely would get the matcha by itself next time!

TOP TIER MATCHA. Definitely some of the best I've had in the city. I got their Koku matcha which is made to order and got it with no sugar and it was so smooth and earthy. Perfectly balanced I'll definitely come back and get it again!

Maru went viral for its Matcha with the side cream top, but as of May 1, they no longer allow you to order the cream top on the side. However, the matcha is not bad on its own. It gas a strong umami flavor with some sweet notes. They have a good selection of pastries, and the almond croissant was nice and flaky. I liked the vibe of the cafe, too. There's a decent amount of seating, and there's also some street parking nearby.

You can instantly feel how much the local community loves Maru Coffee the moment you sit inside. The space is calm, minimal, and beautifully organized -- everything feels intentional. The baristas move with quiet precision, creating a serene rhythm as they brew. Their coffee has a rich aroma and a balanced brightness from the medium roast beans, making every sip deeply satisfying.

The matcha is not sweetened. Added simple syrup which is available by the straws. Even with the sweetener the matcha was bitter with a strong after taste. The cream top was delicious but an extra $3. Overall not good, quite expensive, and would not recommend. The workers were very nice! The inside was spacious and a overall great space. Parking is a bit difficult as only street parking is available.

I traveled a bit to get some good coffee and study here for a few hours and this place didn't disappoint. Parking can be a bit tricky since it's all street parking, but on a Sunday morning I didn't have too much trouble; I didn't mind walking a bit to the cafe and it was free. There are plenty of seats/tables. They're definitely designed in a way so you can't get too comfortable there, but that's okay with me, I felt like it forced me to be more productive so I could get out of there lol. The coffee itself was maybe a bit too bitter to me, but pretty decent taste and definitely kept me awake and alert. I would love to come back and try the matcha here. This place definitely attracts friendly coffee lovers so overall the vibe was very nice and so were the people. If it were closer to me I would probably be a regular here.

I have heard/ read continuous raves about this coffee spot located in the arts district. Hearing about the best cold foam in LA, well of course I had to try it. I got the cold brew with their cold foam, and it was actually really good. The cold foam is what really makes the drink as the rest of it is just our black coffee which I don't mind at all. However paired with the cold foam lessens the blow of bitter & bold coffee. The foam can be described as creamy and light not very sweet with a hint of salty but very very faint nothing that would counteract the sweetness. I did however make the mistake of mixing the two and my combination of both worlds went out the window. With that being said I did really enjoy this coffee, my friend got a matcha and she enjoyed hers as well. Place is as little crowded, minimal seating, definitely not recommended for a place to study. Knocked off a point for parking situation as it is located on a busy street with only street parking and a death wish for street crossing. But I think it's worth the risk.

In the hearts of arts district and a must try matcha! This place has such nice vibes. Has a nice seating area for those wanting to sit and chat but not much space for studying (limited outfits). Line can be long but it goes fast! Staff I super great and their matcha latte is unbelievable! So creamy and a perfect nutty and sweet hint! Definitely a top matcha spot in LA!

I tried all three blends of Espresso and they were all quite good especially if you enjoy espresso higher acidity. 4.5/5 San-to Blend was smooth, full-bodied, and acidic with chocolate notes coming through well. Kemi blend had a good layer of crema and I tasted the citrus notes. San Mi blend was my favorite. It had a creamy mouthfeel and was fruity notes coming through well.

When people talk about matcha latte in LA, Maru is always on the must try list. We came on a rainy Sunday, and there was a short line inside, which was not common, and it got pretty busy again after we got in line. The space is minimalist and open, 100% a vibe. But it was so crowded, it negated the calm quiet atmosphere it intended. Espresso bon bon: 8/10 sugar rimmed but not too sweet Matcha latte: 7/10 (Probably shoulda gotten the cream top. Maybe next time) So for me, the matcha latte was just okay. I heard matcha was premade, which is kinda disappointing. My friend liked the beans he bought. I don't think I would go out of my way to return but wouldn't mind getting a cup if I'm in the neighborhood.

Great shop with nice ambiance very chill nothing to over the top. Love the creamtop next I'll have to try some more menu items. Very fast and attentive.

Decided to try Maru coffee to see if the hype lives up. Fair warning, this location is in downtown LA, and thus only street parking is available. That being said, was not that difficult to find parking on a Saturday. When we arrived, there was a line out the door, that being said it moved very quickly. Service is great, and staff is very nice. Location itself is bright and inviting, with seating available throughout Matcha Latte: let me preface that I do not drink matcha normally. However, The matcha latte was very very nice, earthy, but delicious, and it seemed like very good quality matcha. It is not overly sweetened. Creamtop: I am more of a coffee drinker, the cream top sweetener on the top was really good, salty and sweet. The coffee itself desperately needs that cream, though and I've had better coffees elsewhere. Overall, worth a try, I probably will stick to other coffee places but was pleasantly surprised by the matcha.

Excellent coffee, minimalist ambiance. Their menu features a ton of unique specialty drinks. Even their classic drinks are just very well executed. If you go in the afternoon after two or 3 o'clock, there typically is not a line.

Super yummy matcha. Their popular drink is the cream top matcha. Because they are so busy, rather than weighing out every matcha and whisking on the spot, they have a large tub they scoop it out of. Seating area is relatively small, not very study friendly. Only street parking

This is a small coffee shop in downtown. They have a side lot so parking is not too bad. The people who work there are really kind and helpful. There were people doing work there but there are not too many tables or chairs inside.

Love their coffee and pastries! This place is always packed so be ready to wait in line. The only "negative" I guess are the baristas. They're not friendly or unfriendly just no personalities. I have noticed they are usually men and they have conversations among themselves but not with customers.

$9.50 for the matcha latte with cream top. They premake their matcha and leave it in a giant bowl. I thought to myself that couldn't be true so I watched them make my drink. To my surprise this is exactly what they did. They also don't measure their ratio of milk, syrup nor amount of the premade matcha they are scooping. So disappointing, and the flavor wasn't even good. Parking is a hassle as well. Tip to the owners, maybe whisk fresh matcha for the drinks like most shops do to have a more fresh taste. Interior is nice. Service was fine as well.

Wow. The cream top definitely lives up to its hype. A local recommended this to us in line and we're so glad we listened! I got it as an add-on to my vanilla bean latte and it made my drink so rich and creamy. Almost like a dessert coffee that isn't overly sweet. It paired really well together and I'm looking forward to the day I come back for this again. Ambiance is very calming. I love the neutral decor and incorporation of live plants. Wonderful place to study or work, but absolutely packed on the weekends. Make sure to come early to secure a spot and bring some headphones!

I've been wanting to try this for so long Tbh, just okay. It was nothing phenomenal and the most notable thing was the cost of the cream top if you want to add it to the matcha ($3 and you have to do it yourself) which drives the price of your matcha latte up to $10. Their pastries were decent but not my favorite, though it would've helped if they were toasted perhaps. Just alright. Cute space but not many places to sit and it's not in a wonderful area with things to do or walk to afterwards.

Matcha and cream top coffee is ok but the service is horrible. Staff looks like they don't wanna be there and the one who's taking our order sounds condescending when we asked her questions. They also made my matcha wrong which idc things happened, but no apologies from the server whatsoever, they just gave me the look, took the drink, fix it and said here. :). first time coming and most likely won't be back, just go to damo down the street.

Tucked away and hidden in plain sight (at least to me because I've never seen this place and I drive down Santa Fe all the time) is this extremely cool little coffee shop that brings the minimalistic, neat and organized traditional vibes with some incredible tasting matcha and coffee. Photos don't do the matcha latte I linked under justice it was in my opinion one of the top 3 matchas ive ever had. They have some small bites to eat as well, I didn't order but I saw a lot of people going with what I think was a matcha crumble donut? It was small and green and looked great, especially if their drinks were this good. It can get busy around lunch time and breakfast rush, and seating is limited. But try it out, you won't be disappointed!!

A small but hip and delicious coffee spot in the Arts District just east of DTLA. There are multiple locations around the city, but this was my first time trying this location. It was quite crowded when we arrived around 11AM on Saturday, but the line moves pretty fast. Inside has a lot of tables and had a lot of people sitting working on computers and reading books and had a great coffee shop vibe. They don't have a parking lot, but free street parking is easy to find in this part of town. The barista at the counter was very polite and also gave some good recommendations. The menu is fairly small with limited options, especially flavor options, but everything that we ordered was very good. For this visit I ordered a Vanilla Bean Latte and really enjoyed it. I wish they would have larger sizes available because I drank it very fast and enjoyed every sip. I also got a shot of espresso on the side and that was a great pick me up for my midday. I would definitely recommend to anyone searching for a great coffee shop and I will be back next time I'm in the area.

Pretty disappointed because I was really excited to try the matcha latte with cream top that I heard everyone raving about. When I get there the barista said they discontinued the side of cream top, and they CANNOT add cream top on my matcha?? Like why? Their other drinks have cream top, It's not like they completely discontinued it. Like wish you could just please pour it on top of my drink. The matcha is a little bitter, it's a beautiful color and does have a strong matcha flavor it's just bitter. I get they don't want to compromise the intended flavors or whatever, but if people are raving and you're going viral for the cream top then why not give the people what they want. Especially when it's SO easy just to add it. Parking can be very difficult. The place is nice inside and has a great ambiance.

Went yesterday to Maru Coffee in the Arts District, very mid experience. The service was meh; seemed like they were trying to get rid of us to continue their convo. We ordered a spice latte; honestly first red flag should've been the giant jug she brought out of the fridge of the premade cold brew. Making premade cold brew is obviously a common practice, but the jug already had everything in it, so milk, syrup, etc., so all they really needed to do was pour it into a cup, so that was mid. I ordered a chocolate croissant as well and she didn't even ask if I wanted it warmed up. The spice latte sucked; just left a peppery aftertaste in your throat, but I mean if you dig that then word. The atmosphere was nice, but nothing worth trying mid coffee. Overall, would not try again or recommend.

Really hyped coffee shop in Los Angeles. I was excited to try one of the most popular coffee places and went in with high expectations. It was a long line on a Saturday afternoon. The line was continuously long the rest of the day. I had their cream top matcha latte and it fell really short of my expectations. It was tasted really watery which was disappointing considering it had a nice green color. The cream top was really good though There is a decent size seating area but it gets crowded and the turnover isnt great since people are here to study.

I love Maru! This was my first time trying this location, and it did not disappoint! My matcha was prepared super fast and was great as always. The matcha is not too sweet, so if that's not your thing, I suggest adding sweetener. There is a good amount of seating inside, with a few outlets around. As a tip -- I discovered that you can order a matcha with a cream top for an additional $3!

I love Maru coffee! I've only ever been to the Beverly Hills location so it was nice seeing this location when I was in the area. I ordered my favorite the cloud latte. That cloud foam is so delicious and the coffee is so smooth. It's not too sweet at all. Staff was nice but the lines are always out the door. But they move quickly to get you your order fast. Parking around the corner.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. This was one of the best matcha lattes I've ever had. I make a lot of matcha lattes at home but I was really craving one on my way into work. The matcha was slightly grassy and very forward in the drink. Not sweet at all, which is how I prefer it. I also got a spinach and cheese croissant that was flaky and delicious! The service was fast. The inside was clean and there were some people on laptops so the vibes were really chill. Not too much parking but I found a spot along the road. Very affordable for the quality of the matcha and pastries. Under $15 total (not too different from Starbucks). I'd recommend this place for people who prefer simple matcha lattes but not the overly sweet Starbucks matcha lattes.

The line was out the door and down the sidewalk on a Saturday afternoon. The indoor dining area was full with people working/studying. There were people just enjoying the drinks, too. People were coming and going in the dining area. Came for the coffee beans and you get a free pour-over or cold brew if you buy a bag. Yes!!! The beans were freshly roasted! Got one that was roasted a couple of days before this visit.

Finally got to try this coffee shop today. Located in arts district with limited street parking. Ordered an iced matcha with oat milk and the cream top coffee. Both were pretty decent. I'd give them a 7/10. Would come back to try their other drinks.
