This is the first time we've gone cider tasting! This place is nice, it looked like they have a lot of regulars, which is nice. The staff was friendly and on spot, they really kept the place going turning tables, glasses etc. Good spot to hang out.

I am a huge fan of ciders and meads. Recently I had a business trip to the San Jose area so I did my homework and had zeroed in on another cider house to check out. I had one free evening and I wanted to make it count. A local coworker highly recommended Rabbit's Foot and I quickly changed my plans. I'm so glad I did. It was a little hard to find, but not too bad. The only sign is small and on their door so if you trust google maps and keep your eyes open you'll find it. I enjoyed the atmosphere and my 2 flights, 4 ciders and 4 meads. My finisher was a glass of the port (yummy!). I also enjoyed the anti and peach. Heck, I liked them all and would be a regular if I was a local. I'll definitely come back. Thanks for taking good care of me Nikki!

For some reason I never wrote a review to go with the rating here - this place is AWESOME! I've been coming here at least 4 years and the quality and variety of product has been incredible. Their ciders are high quality and diverse, and offer a really good local brewery feeling. The beer is ALSO excellent, though I can't drink it very often for reasons unrelated to quality. For me, the even better part is how excellent the mead is! This is genuine mead, no fizz or modern hoopla to mimic cider and beer. They'll usually have regular sweet mead and either blackberry, raspberry or both. They also sometimes have more expensive and fine crafted meads for bottle purchase (not for tasting). It's a really cool experience and the prices aren't bad for Bay Area. The interior is a cozy place with limited seating, but the people working the bar and the owners are excellent people. I highly suggest stopping by to try out the drinks!

Google
Great little tasting room! Lots of tasty honey based (and some not) beverages being produced in the back. Ciders, meads, beers, lots of unique flavors.

Google
Nice place with cosy decor and interesting choice of drinks. We were lucky to be in the night of soup competition. Lots of tasty soups prepared by visitors, and judged by clients. Tasty and lots of fun. Way to go!

Google
Everything at Rabbits Foot is absolutely delicious! Some things more so than than others, of course, depending upon the individuals' taste, mood, or alternate driver availability. Their meads, cisers, ciders, beer, ales, stouts, and port range from the mild to the Wild to the truly sublime, and simply are Not to be Missed. The 'Availability Board' is in a constant state of flux, guaranteeing a fresh new experience often for habitual visitors. But be warned: this is because everything has a tendency to sell out! My personal favorites: Diabhal (currently unavailable) Honey stout Mead of Poetry (seasonal, Christmas) Pear mead Chocolate Raspberry Love port My wifes' favorites: Flor de Jamaica cider Peach cider Raspberry cider Black Cherry cider Chocolate Raspberry Love port Undecided? You can pick a flight of any four for $8, and meet some awesome people in the process. Tell 'em Brent sent you!

Old school people will understand "Cheers" atmosphere. Great Meade, great brews, great ciders, great owners! This place is a hidden jewel in this area. (This is a meadery; no kitchen but sometimes trucks!)

Google
Cozy hidden place with great meads and ciders, and friendly staff. The place isn't huge so it's perfect for a small group of friends.

Yelp
I have been here a few times prior to COVID and this was a solid spot to get some ciders and meads in my opinion. I am more of a cider and mead drinker versus beer. I highly recommend the flight of 4. It used to only be $12! My all time favorites here were the classic mead, apricot cider, lemonade cider, and cherry sour. All of them were a mix of sour and sweet and were great to sip on. They didn't serve food here but that was okay. They were a great spot to grab some drinks. It looks like they are now offering pickup. I hope that they are doing okay during these tough times!

Theresa D.

Yelp
An awkward spot because it's pretty small inside and it's in an industrial area but once you get over that, they have lots of tasty ciders! And their special mead. I got a flight of 4 for $12: Classic mead - really sweet. Good to sip on. Lemonade cider - 8/10 I wish it was more sour like a true lemonade Apricot cider - 10/10, reminded me of apricot jam Cherry sour -10/10 sour but not too sour. They don't serve food, but they do have cozy company.

Yelp
Tucked away in an industrial park, you've found it when you see the small rainbow neon open sign hanging in the tinted windows. If you've had the pleasure of bottled Red Branch Cider, you just HAVE to come visit the Tap Room! The cider is ah-mazing on tap. Upon entering their small tap room, you'll have your choice of bar seating, bench seating along the wall in front of the bar, a handful of small tables for groups of 2-4 and standing room. There was a larger group and they were standing in the far corner. They have 12 taps, serving up beers & ciders on tap, plus a selection of meads by the glass. I invited some friends to join me and my hubby for the Ghoulish Gathering on Halloween. We ordered the special "Halloween Pairing" $14. A flight of four "they picked". Apple-Honey Cider with Reese's Pumpkin Lemonade Cider with Starburst Sweet Mead with Twix Flor de Jamaica with Dum Dums It was fun to try a variety and mostly delicious. Big fan of their ciders. My favorite of the flight was the Flor de Jamaica. Least favorite was the sweet mead. If you like the Burt's Bees Honey lip balm, you will probably like the mead. Worth a try, but just not for me. One of my friends didn't like the lemonade cider she ordered, so we helped her finish her pint. We enjoyed a few extra pints of Flor de Jamaica ciders and then went on our merry separate ways to other Halloween night festivities. Years ago, they had a $5 flight that offered a taste of most of the menu, but now they are more well-known and have done away with that killer deal. You're allowed to bring in outside food, but I think they want you to take your food trash with you. Credit cards accepted. They'll card you, so bring valid ID. Limited, off-street parking out front. Street parking looked to be limited to one hour? ADA restroom. Prepare for standing room only. Wear comfy shoes!! Cozy space and not a lot of seating. Unclear about growler fills. I saw 2-3 customers with growlers? Maybe they brought them in, hoping to get them filled, but the website says they don't do growler fills.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for a pre-dinner hangout to grab some mead and some cider. My husband doesn't drink very much, so he and I shared a flight with me drinking most of the flight. We got two meads and two ciders to try. If you've never had mead before, I'd definitely suggest you try it for yourself. I personally think it is too sweet for my preference, but pairing my drinking up with some ciders balances it out. This place itself is pretty small, but it has a great selection of different meads, ciders, and beer to drink. The bartender was also very nice. Rabbit's Foot doesn't serve any food, but they encourage people to bring their own food to eat and hangout. This place is a pretty chill place to hangout at, and I'd definitely come back. I only wish it was open later to extend my time hanging out here.

Yelp
Ok, I take you from your regularly scheduled brewery tour and bring you...Mead! Rabbit's Foot Meadery is a hidden little spot in an industrial park. Meaderies are unusual so when I saw Rabbits Foot was nearby I had to stop in and check it out. The tasting room is an intimate little thing, with only a couple of high tops, one or two low tables and the bar with seating for about ten. They did flights of mead, and I was up for the challenge. Tom Yum cyser is wonderfully dry with crisp apple aromas and flavors. Beautiful light yellow color and tantalizing delicate flavors. The Sweet Mead has a beautiful sweet honey aroma. The flavor does not come across anywhere near as sweet as one would expect from the aroma. That is a good thing because if it did it would taste like drinking straight honey. The Blackberry Mead had a beautiful light red color. You could never mistake the flavors in a Mead for wine. This had an upfront fruity flavor that I couldn't quite say was blackberry but I can say it was delicious. Chocolate Raspberry Love had a deep, deep red color and an aroma immediately identifiable as chocolate and raspberry. There was no doubting what to expect when smelling this. The flavor was like dark chocolate covered in raspberry syrup. Very strong, definitely for sipping. This was a little too much of a good thing for me, the flavor was just over the top. Mjøderiet The Antikviek! I don't know what that means but it makes me want to grab my battleaxe. No, not my wife, she is a sweetheart and far better than I deserve. I mean an actual battleaxe so I can drink from the skulls of my enemies! In fact there is a guy at the end of the bar that has a big head which would make a fabulous drinking vessel. The Antikviek has a light yellow color with a slightly sweet aroma and nicely carbonated like a champagne. This is far better than champagne. A bit of sweetness with a lingering flavor. Raspberry Mead had a beautiful color and an obvious aroma of raspberries. The aroma followed nicely with the raspberry flavor. It wasn't overpoweringly sweet and had light carbonation. Biere De Mele is a braggot or honey ale. Very unusual aroma and flavor that I can't quite relate to something familiar. This one really didn't appeal to me. I really wish I could place the flavor that came across from it, but I just can't. The Honey Stout is very dark, like black hole dark. This was pretty mild. It had some sweetness to it. This really didn't speak to me, especially after several excellent meads. You may not believe this but there really was a guy here telling the server about his pet throwing up and how another one of his pets licks it up. Not the food, but the liquid around it. I appreciate him sharing that with everyone else in ear shot. Flor De Jamaica cider had an apple flavor with a floral note that I wouldn't be able to place, but per the menu was hibiscus. This was really good and not overly sweet with that "if I drink too much of this it will turn my stomach" flavor. The Loki. This one is not included as a taster and I had to order a 2oz glass of this for $13. But I do it all for you my fanatical and non-existent Yelp followers! This smelled freaking heavenly, but it was tough to decide if I really liked the flavor. It wasn't bad at all, it just didn't quite live up to the aroma for me. I decided to revisit the Mjøderiet The Antikviek, which might have had something to do with the badass name and images it put in my head. And no I don't know how to pronounce that... Overall the meads were very good. The ambience was very hipster or "I'm a middle aged guy and still play dungeons and dragons" depending on your view. Of course that view was heavily influenced by the people there at the time. I would highly recommend checking out Rabbits Foot Meadery as they are turning out some excellent meads. The funny thing is I always compare any Mead to my recollections of Mead at the Renaissance Faire being consumed out of the leather bota bag I bought there, oh almost 40 years ago. Yes, I might have been a little underage...so what? Go check out Rabbits Foot Meadery. You won't regret it, and don't forget your battleaxe! If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand.

Yelp
Missing the fabulous meads from this Meadery. Looking forward to them reopening soon.

Yelp
Came to visit friends in the Bay Area and wanted to find a place that has the one thing I love - cider. Rabbit's Foot or Red Branch is a very small low key place that has AMAZING CIDER! Though the location is very small, we came on a Friday and it fills up quickly as people are ready for the weekend! We choose the $8 flights and when I say there's lots to choose from...there's LOTS! My favorite by far was the Black Cherry and the Lemonade! You have to try these, I'm not joking! I have had plenty of cider but..I don't know what they are doing in the back but they need to KEEP DOING IT! If you want something to go, they can it for you right on the spot and it's two pints worth! Thank you Rabbit's Foot! Guess we got lucky!

Julia S.

Yelp
Things I tried: Loki Mead, peach cider, mixed raspberry and lemon cider. All were good, for mead, Loki mead is the way to go. Peach cider was my first cider that I really liked besides Martinelli's apple cider. I'd definitely come back

Yelp
COVID-19 update: you can order online for in store pick up! I've been here once before and once again to pick up during the shelter in place. It's small, but I love it. I love the chill casual atmosphere. They have a lot of options on tap, so I opted for a flight. Perfect way to taste a lot, but it was definitely enough for me to get a good buzz. I picked up for a the Yelp Elite tasting event and they included small Yelp hand sanitizers and a sample pour. Pick up was so quick and easy. They had everything ready, the staff checked my ID and I was done! Literally less than 2 minutes.

Yelp
On October 28th, a friend and I went to RFM in order to join in on their annual Halloween celebration. Probably due to a mix-up, when I arrived, there was no Halloween celebration. There were a few guests dressed up, but nothing over the top. Seating is quite minimal, but I'm glad we found a small table and chairs as standing the whole time would have been hard on me. For tasting, my friend got the beer tasting flight ($8) and I got the cider tasting flight ($8). My friend and I thought they were ok, but nothing really excited my palette. The Red Branch Cider - Hard Black Cherry had definite notes of cherry and the Red Branch Cider Lemonade had strong notes of ginger. For the Red Branch Cider - Hard Apple-Honey, you could really taste the honey. Too bad their website doesn't have more information as to whether or not they were going to have a Halloween celebration or that guests were welcomed to bring food in.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
THE spot for craft mead in the Bay Area. Located in a low-key business district just off of Lawrence Expressway, RFM is an often-crowded local meadery that crafts all of their mead, cysers, ales, and ciders on-site in the backroom which you can explore. I come here every month, often ordering whatever is new on the menu. Though I come here often, it's always a treat. The meadtenders know their customers by name and folks are very friendly. RFM also does annual chili cook offs and mac n cheese cookoffs which are free to attend. Follow them on Facebook for such announcements!

Yelp
I'm so sad to see this place is temporarily closed! I picked up their mead last summer during covid to get a taste of ren faire at home (I was missing it), and brought home an awesome selection of unique ciders in Oct 2020 around my birthday too. Their pickup service was always quick and easy; and they were good about wearing masks and limiting the number of customers to 1 at a time too. I've never been to a tasting of theirs but I know pre-pandemic they offered them and I was looking forward to possibly doing that soon. Guess I'll just have to look forward to doing that in 2022!

Frank L.

Yelp
Really cool spot. It is like a bar, but I guess its not quite a bar cause since it closes at 8pm. They have some beers, but generally its all about the ciders here. I tried the peach cider, black cherry cider, honey stout, bier de miel. Favorites from these go to the peach cider and black cherry. At nearly 7%, they have as good alcohol content as any beer. The honey stout was good, but I wish there were more notes of honey. Whats cool is the spot coming up with new stuff all the time. Tried one of their small batches, Death by Chocolate Raspberry. It was insanely good and it was a mind blowing 18% abv. Overall, had a great experience tasting some of the offerings here and just learning about cider when I previously had literally 0 experience when it comes to meads/ciders.

Yelp
Best Meadery I've ever been to! Ok, so its the only Meadery I've ever been to. Or even seen. Or heard of. But, I'll DEFINITELY be back! Mead is a thing of the dark ages. Vikings drank it, people who played Game of Thrones, and I don't mean the TV show. It's like beer only sweeter because it's honey-based. And apparently, modern meads are less and less so, except at Rabbits Foot which brews authentic, honey-based meads. Annnnd they are really good! Definitely sweeter than beer. I tasted the chocolate raspberry port and it was EXTRA sweet, thus it's subtitle as a "dessert wine". The atmosphere was pub-like and lively. I arrived around 5pm and nearly every seat was full of happy people drinking meads and dessert wines. It seemed that many of them were regulars. The bartenders were very fun to talk to, full of stories, and world traveled. I will be a repeat customer at Rabbit's Foot!

Dean C.

Yelp
7/29/16: Game of Thrones gave us a world of blood and lust, and oh so much blood and oh god lust... and revelry and short moments of glutinous pleasure! Bare fingers around a chunk of pig flesh, pigeon thigh, wine (and of course in Tyrion's case probably just wine)... but for the richest of royalty, the greatest of kinds, there can only be MEAD! Metheglin! Metheglin! Shout of thy love, no thy lust! Oh the Game has left us dry... suffering withdrawal, suffering and longing--oh please chain us to our chairs, entomb us with our magical picture walls, pierce our eyes with blood and flesh. And mead in hand, I shall be a happy man. 4/5 #meadery #bar #beer #beerbar #pub #sunnyvale #mead

Yelp
This Meadery is amazing. If you're a fan of dive bars, then come right on over! It's a local favorite when it comes to ciders and honeyed wines. The community is small and the regulars are... regular! They make their own drinks, all in the warehouse right behind the bar. Additionally, they provide ale and ciders for the Renaissance Fair over in Casa de Fruta. It's the same stuff, just cheaper at the source! They rotate their beers and ciders, but always have their core that stays. I strongly suggest the Peach Cider mixed with some lemon cider. Or, just try a flight of 4 drinks and get a taste in of everything! You can also get growlers to take some home, or some of the fancier drinks in bottles (like mead!). Lastly, they do not have any food, but you're welcome to bring in your own. They have board games which are great to share with friends. Last note: their hours are pretty short, so get there early!!

Murray N.

Yelp
Always a good time with Rabbit's foot. During COVID19, they've ensured our safety by closing the tasting room but have made it easy to make an order on their website and pick up. Unfortunately, I didn't know that before getting there but once I was there, there was awesome signage to help me figure it out. Drinks are as good and delicious as always.

Joshua C.

Yelp
Do you like really good cider? Yeah, me too, and this is where I go to get it. Great ciders, great staff, and great customers to hang out with. Dog friendly (if your dog is friendly), food friendly, and just plain friendly.

Kallan C.

Yelp
This place was an excellent find. It doesn't have glam from the outside, but inside it is the perfect place to hang with friends. Chill and relaxing. The staff was friendly and attentively. They had some awesome st Patrick's day snacks with lucky charms! So great to see the staff getting into the sprint!

Sarah S.

Yelp
COVID-19 update: Ordering online and curbside pick up was a breeze. Called when I got there, showed my ID through the window and they placed my order in the trunk for me. Glad that I was able to support a local business that I enjoy while also feeling safe.

Natalie L.

Yelp
Wow this place is definitely a hidden gem! Beer and Mead together, it tastes heavenly! I honestly did not know what mead was until I came here, but it is basically fermented honey. My fiance and I got a sampler of four different flavor beers and the dessert mead. The dessert meat is pretty sweet, but I think it tastes great after a sip of the beer. It goes super well together. My favorite among the beers was the Hard Black Cherry and Hard Apple Honey! In all honesty, all the beers are pretty good and you cannot go wrong with any of them! I will definitely come back here again and bring friends!

Allison J.

Yelp
So I had no idea this place existed until my sister suggested we grab a few drinks while she was in town visiting the family. And even though I initially agreed because I misheard her and thought she said "meatery" I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem tucked away near Levi's Stadium. While I did not try the mead, a quick history of the libation seemed to satiate my curiosity for the time being--I also perked up when I saw cider on the menu as that is my bread and butter in unfamiliar territory. Place is a petite, L-shaped situation so be prepared for a tight fit and perhaps standing for a bit as the regulars perched at the bar did not budge for the duration of my visit. Luckily there were some spare barrels up against a wall we were able to swoop in on to enjoy a few rounds of drinks. I would be open to coming back and trying a mead or two when back in the area.

Emil C.

Yelp
I had one of the best experiences at this tasting room. Their flights are pretty inexpensive and they let you try a lot of different meads, ciders, and beers. The place is small and it's usually pretty crowded. If you've never tried meads and ciders, you should check this place out. It's a good change of pace from drinking beers. The bartenders were all friendly, very knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions. It's located in a somewhat off the beaten path area in Sunnyvale, but it's conveniently located near the Reamwood light rail station. That's a good thing, since you probably don't want to be driving after drinking some mead!

Michelle L.

Yelp
This place is small and gets packed very quickly so come early! The outside looks like an industrial company instead of a bar or brewery that I'm used to, so it was a bit trickier for me to find. I had the sample flight, which was $5.50 for 9 samples when I had it. They don't give you all the drinks at once, which I thought was not very efficient. The drinks are delicious though and I was tipsy by the end of the samples! My favorite was the seasonal peach cider. It was very fragrant and tasted like juice. The most interesting drink was the chocolate raspberry love. I don't know how to describe it because it pretty much tasted how it sounds... I will definitely be back and fighting for a seat!

Rosamond H.

Yelp
My bf and I have wanted to check this place out for months and we FINALLY got the chance to go last night. We came around 5 pm on a Friday and we were able to get a seat at the counter (all other tables were taken). We ordered their cider flight which comes with 5 tasters and it was $8. They also have half pours which were pretty cool, so if you're a slow drinker like me, it was nice to order the half pours vs. the usual size. On their walls, there are some decorations and a lot of bottles lined up, they have a money wall which you will not miss! LOL It has a bunch of money from all over the world which is really cool!! They also have money pinned onto the ceiling which they collect starting January 1st all the way until December 31st which they donate to two foundations. It's a pretty cool way to get people to donate! They also have one other wall which has a bunch of the same mugs hung onto the wall and behind the mug is a polaroid picture of that mug's owner which is REALLY COOL and it makes me want to become a regular JUST TO HAVE THAT! (: I guess I'll have to see... haha Back to drinks: After we finished the flight, we ordered their peach cider, raspberry cider, blackberry mead, chocolate raspberry which was 18% (oh my!), pear cider, and hard lemonade. My favorite one was probably the peach since it tasted more like sparkling peach juice and my least favorite one will have to be the blackberry mead. The blackberry mead, in my opinion, tasted like cough syrup. Since mead is fermented honey (I think), you can DEFINITELY taste the honey in that drink. We had really nice servers, they were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the different ciders. Most of the people that we met yesterday were regulars and they were all really nice! This will definitely be one of my favorite spots to hang out and drink some cider!! (((: **if you want to check this place out, definitely come when it's around 3-5 pm (before it gets really crowded and busy), there are limited seats/tables available, so you will most likely be standing and waiting to snatch a seat if you come past 5:30 pm. I realized that the servers also prioritized regulars or people sitting at the counters, then they will slowly reach the back customers so that's also a little push to get you to come earlier!

Jared C.

Yelp
Probably just my tastes changing but didn't particularly enjoy my mixed flight. Still worth checking out.

Melanie B.

Yelp
What is mead? I didn't know what it is until I was introduced to Rabbit's Foot (forgive me for being a noob). Located in sunny south bay, on the outskirts of Sunnyvale, Rabbit's Foot Meadery is by far my most favorite tasting room. At $5.50, you receive a flight of beer, a flight of cider, and a couple honey mead tastings! The space is small. Probably only accommodating 20 people comfortably, but prepare yourself for a buzz and some great jazz music in the background. The lovely Cheyenne (I hope this is the proper spelling) was the lady bartender who took care of our party. She comp'd us an extra tasting for being patient, and she is truly a kind soul. Thank you for sharing a little bit about yourself and attending to our eagerness to try everything! Here is the order in which we tasted: 1. Honey Mead 2. Raspberry Honey Mead (Reminded us of raspberry jam, omy!) 3. Raspberry Cider 4. Pomegranate Cider 5. Black Cherry Cider (Not a fan!) 6. Lemonade Cider (FAVORITE) 7. Bier de Miel 8. Honey Red 9. Honey Stout 10. Chocolate Raspberry Love (18% alc) 10 tastings for that price is such a steal! So support your local meadery! And if you are traveling through south bay, I hope this is one of your destinations. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Lucine O.

Yelp
This place is awesome! I'm not a big bar/pub person because it sometimes gets really crowded and loud, but Rabbit's Foot is perfect. It's small and cozy with fantastic bartenders. The atmosphere was on point, as was the music. I had the Pear Cider and the Black Cherry and both were excellent. The only "downside" is if it's busy, it's standing room only. But, you can always get drinks to go!

Helen W.

Yelp
I visited here with a group of my friends back in 2015. Keeping in mind that we were all barely 21, and we probably looked like we were high schoolers (blame those Asian youthful genes), we definitely felt a little intimidated walking into this small quiet meadery, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. However, the bartender was so incredibly friendly and joked around with us, putting our nerves to rest. He was also incredibly informative, explaining the different drinks, some brief background info, as well as how to pair the drinks. We all wanted to try the sample flights ($5.50 for 2 flights), which is a super great deal. We were told this was going to change, which it has. I definitely enjoyed the mead and the ciders more than the ales, but it was awesome to be able to try them all. My favorite was the Peach Cider! This is seasonal, so if it's available, make sure to get it! Overall we had a wonderful and memorable experience here. I don't know if I would go back (except maybe for that peach cider), but I have recommended other friends to check it out. Even if the price has changed and become more expensive, I still think the experience would be worth it!

Vanessa S.

Yelp
I have not been a fan of mead prior to coming here since it always had a funky taste I did not enjoy. Well now I can't get enough of Rabbit's Foots mead! I love it so much. My favorite two were the Sweet Mead and Raspberry Mead. What is evening more amazing you can do a flight with 9 samples for only $5.50 and they give you a decent amount as well. The place is sorta small and fills up quickly but their service is fast and the crowds are nice. Just recommend coming during happy hour times since they close at 8pm.

Abby W.

Yelp
I can't believe I've never reviewed this place. I started coming here when the flight was still 2 meads, 4 ciders, 4 ales, and a dessert port for some ridiculously low price. Although the prices have gone up and the selection has narrowed, Rabbit's Foot still has a special place in my heart. Rating Breakdown: 2/2 Stars for Taste -- I always come here with friends who are first-timers so I end up getting the flight. It's perfect if you're indecisive and know nothing about mead, beer, or ciders like me. The mead here is amazing, just the right amount of sweetness. I like the blackberry one because I'm a sucker for sweet things, but my friend preferred the more subtle sweet mead. Other standouts in the flight include the raspberry cider. I've also really enjoyed their ginger cider in the past, but they didn't have it on rotation last I went. If you're lucky, they'll have some of the Chocolate Raspberry Love port in stock. When I visited last, they were having a V-day special that was a honey stout poured with raspberry cider and some chocolate raspberry love. Amazingly smooth and sweet, went down dangerously quick like candy. I hope they keep this one around for a while, because I would definitely come back for it. 1/1 Stars for Value -- I think it was $12 for a flight that included 1 mead, 2 ciders, and 2 ales. You can also get another free tasting if you check in on Yelp. If you already have a favorite, the pints are pretty reasonably priced as well. You can also buy crowlers (~$10) and growlers (~$20) to go! 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- I love the ladies that work the taps. They are super friendly and helpful with rock solid recommendations. Half the reason I love Rabbit's Foot is the company you'll find here -- you'll never need to drink alone! Bonus star because this is always going to be the hidden gem in Sunnyvale that I come to time and time again. TL;DR -- MeaDery, not MeaTery. First timers, try a flight! Can't go wrong with anything here.

Yelp
Long overdue review for a place I love! First off, yes the location is very strange and looks like it's in a warehouse. Use your GPS and no you are not at the wrong spot! Upon entering you will find it is a small place with tables and benches along the walls and a bar with several stools. I recommend starting with the sampler for newcomers as you get to try a mix of 4 ciders and a mead. My personal favorite is the black cherry cider. It is just the right amount of bitterness but tastes delicious. I am also keen on the peach and the apricot. They also sell cans and bottles to go and will can the draft beer right in front of you so it's super fresh! Highly recommend checking out this awesome spot.

Yelp
Came here with a friend to try mead for the first time. They have an impressively large menu for a "tasting room" that is so small. I put the tasting room in quotes because relative to many other breweries I've been to, this one is much smaller. It has the feel of a low-key, local watering hole with regulars. The ciders were good, and I've realized meads aren't really my thing, but this was a good place to check since they have a good selection to make sure there isn't at least one mead you like. We came on a Saturday, and while there were only about 10 other people there, my friend and I grabbed the last table, as all the bar seating was also full. We chose a small flight from the menu. Unfortunately, the brewery host seemed to be busy chatting with the regulars so we weren't able to ask many questions. Since meaderies are so rare, I would have hoped that the staff would be excited to educate some newbies, but that clearly wasn't the case. I noticed that they do have some board games available to play, though keep in mind the space limitations. This might be a cool place if you were to become a regular, but did not seem as welcoming as I would have hoped to newcomers.

Yelp
I was intrigued when I came across a Meadery in the South Bay area. You don't see these type of establishments often in the city - they typically occur in more rural locations. They make a number of alcoholic concoctions here, including Mead, Cider, Cyser, and beer. I visited late one afternoon after finishing up work for the day. When I entered, there was one large table of about ten folks and 4-5 others sitting at the bar. I bellied up to the bar and inquired about a tasting - so they set me up with the following for the first round: - Raspberry Mead (12% ABV) - Hard Apple Honey Cyser (6.9% ABV) - Hard Raspberry Cider (6.9% ABV) - Hard Black Cherry Cider (6.9% ABV) They also poured me a taste of the Sweet Mead (12% ABV) - which was not part of the flight. After I finished the first flight, I moved on to the second flight: - Biere de Miel (German Kolsch) (4.2% ABV) - Diabhal (Belgian Golden Strong Ale) 8.2% ABV - Honey Stout (7.2% ABV) - Chocolate Raspberry Love (18% ABV) and then at the end, I asked to taste two more ciders: - Hard Pear Cider (6.9% ABV) - Hard Apricot Cider (6.9% ABV) As I recall, the way they described it to me - their Raspberry Mead was not made in the traditional way of a Melomel - where the fruit is added during the mead-making process. I think the young lady behind the bar told me they add it to the Mead after the fact. Still, it was an interesting and tasty beverage. In fact, all of their meads, cysers, and ciders were tasty. I was not a fan of any of their beers. The Chocolate Raspberry Love is intensely rich and sweet - sort of a port style wine. Might go well paired with a good Maduro wrapper cigar. The Sweet Mead was probably my favorite of all the samples I tasted. While I was sitting at the bar tasting, the male bartender was chatting with some of the patrons about Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. As I am a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I joined in the conversation, and then moved down to the other end of the bar, introduced myself and we had a fun conversation about all things Marvel. People started pouring in at this point and it was getting a little warm in the place. They seem to have a problem with their HVAC system being unable to keep the place cool - hopefully they will sort that out soon. Neat place! Enjoyed it very much and hope to visit again some time soon to see what else is new!

Yelp
This place sure is fun for trying out unique meads and ciders. I enjoy suggesting this place to friends and introducing people to it. The inside of Rabbit's is very small. You'll most likely get stuck standing, and in close quarters to others. However, it's great for mingling with new people. Great flavors, great times!

Yelp
Simply a great place to get Ciders and wunder full Meads. They have been in business for more than 20 years. If you did not know they were there you would passed right by them without knowing. It's a small hole in the wall place with seating for about 10 people. When we showed up the place was packed with about 50 people, and everybody was having a good time. I tried the sampler which had sour apple, lemon, cherry Ciders as well as a one that had a flavor of a late harvest wine (like a Riesling) and fermented black olives...sounds weird I know but was actually excellent. I thought that the Ciders where ok but they didn't really hit my happy button. then I was told of a drink that they sell there buy a "Insider" Called Death by Raspberry. (not on the menu) so I purchased a pint, wow was it good, I mean 10 stars g-double-o-d good!! If you like your beers or ciders I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I found out about Rabbit's Foot at a "Meet the Brewers" event. I immediately planned a visit to their facility. I had two separate flights of their ciders and meads which are exceptional. I have since introduced others to their ciders at a "Hop & Vine" event. Everyone agreed that the ciders were the highlight of the event. You can even mix them, Raspberry and Lemonade, or a mead mixed with a Cherry cider, Yum! Definitely put his place on you list of a place to visit soon. They also go by the name "Red Branch".

Yelp
Came because of the reviews , i thought they had a good beer selection but the three beers they had they were not good at all. This place has more cider that beer and may be that was my mistake, that's the reason for my rating. Mmm well also the place only had a small bar area and two high table. Do not understand the high rating for this place, may be people with cider tasting really like their product, anyway sorry for the rating but i did not like the place either though the bar tender was nice and helpful

Yelp
Beer n00b. I know nothing about beer other than it makes me do the pee pee dance and it takes a whole keg for me to get sloshed. However, wanting to make our trip to the South Bay worthwhile, I found Rabbit's Foot Meadery on Yelp and suggested we stop here before dinner. Even though I'm not a beer drinker, I'm glad we did. A must visit if you're in the area, Rabbit's Foot is a Meadery which makes wine, beer, and cider using honey. It's the size of a small pub with just 10 seats, one table, and a bench so come early if you want to grab a seat to do a tasting. They have a small private lot in front for parking. People do linger around so I can see how it can be frustrating if you want to sit at the counter and do a tasting. Please be mindful of others and GTFO when you're done (I mean that in the nicest way) or at least move away from the counter so others can get their drank on. For just $5.50, we were able to taste what Rabbit's Foot had available on tap that day: one honey wine, two ciders, two beers, and one port: http://bit.ly/13GolxV. Maria, our beer sommelier or whateveryoucallit (told you, I know jackshit about beer) was awesome! She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. I'm not even going to bother getting into the nitty gritty details of each tasting because I'll have no idea what I'm talking about. But what I DO know is I loved the Peach Cider. It was like biting into a Trolli Peach Gummi but not in a sickingly sweet kinda way. It was very crisp and refreshing. It's a good thing Mr. NSS doesn't drink much because I got to drink his share of it and all of his other tastings plus mine. Ahhh, the perks of dating a non-lush. Some of Rabbit Foot's beers and cider available at BevMo and Whole Paycheck. They were sold out of all their bottles that day at their meadery but you can buy a Growler which is filled from their tap: http://bit.ly/1cvDGWG. It lasts several days before going flat. Leaving happily buzzed and rockin' my beer gut, I was happy that Yelp didn't leave me astray...this time. SO according to Trailer Choir, "Rockin' the Beer Gut" is hot and they even named a song after it. Only guys named "Butter" and "Big Vinny" who started their career by playing covers for frat parties would say some shit like that. They should of added: "as long as it ain't a hairy gut" to the title of their song. No jungle down there or down down deeeerrrrr for that matter please. Mmm ok, thanks!

Yelp
First visit, happened to catch an episode of CBS Sunday Morning some time ago and they featured Rabbits Foot Meadery. Finding myself in town for business it was time to visit. You can get either 4 choices of anything (Mead, Cider or Beer) or 5 of thier choice for $8. We picked our own as I wanted to try different offerings. I had the sweet mead, honey stout, raspberry cider and HEL. I will say the sweet mead was my pick of the four. My friend and I didn't really care for the ciders with the exception of the peach one. Of the two beers I tried, meh, neither was that good in my opinion. Now, there were two meads not available for the tastings as they are considered 'top shelf'. These were Melia & Odin. We tried the Melia upon recommendation and it was excellent! So, long story short we took home a bottle of Melia & Raspberry meads.

Yelp
A little gem of a place hidden in the industrial area in the sleepy town of Sunnyvale. Ordered a flight of drinks and enjoyed the lemonade cider the best. Lovely scent with a taste to match

Yelp
A friend said to me, "If you like dessert wines, then you should try Rabbits Foot Meadery." Came on a Friday evening, it was standing room only. The place is a converted warehouse with tasting room in the front. I ordered a Black Cherry Cider and was expecting a fruity wine but that was not the case. I think I need to try them again, next time order a sample tasting flight during a week night when it is not so crowded.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday afternoon to check out the hype and have mixed reviews. Tried a sampler of both the cider and the beer and only found two out of eight that I liked :( The Diableh beer was delicious, as was the peach cider, but I found the other beers bitter and unpalatable and the other ciders vingegary and tart. The mead was delicious, and having grown up in Kent (garden of England, where they grow and make all of the above), can certainly vouch that the mead here is top notch. Would come back for that beer - as you can't get it to take away, but wouldn't be keen on anything else.

Yelp
Excellent smaller, local brewery that does big flavorful beers, ciders and yes mead, just like it says in the name. While there is limited parking in the front and street, there is lots of spare space in the semi industrial lots next door. This works out really well as the next door business hours are not the meadery hours. So no real worries on parking. This is also co-branded as red branch brewing. So technically two breweries or at least two brewers. This is a small space, much more of a tasting room then a hang out and drink spot. There's room for six or seven people at the counter and maybe room for about ten more on the limited tables scattered around. The focus is all about the beer/cider/mead. There's about a dozen choices at any point in time, and your tasting flights will be either cider based or beer based with a tiny amount of overlap for each. There was only a couple of mead choices on my visit, and while they weren't bad they were totally overshadowed by the excellent beer/ciders. The braggot is a medieval style merge of beer and mead combining the best qualities of both in one drink. The one on offer here is a simple masterpiece. It's earthy yet crisp. The color gives the illusion of a light pilsner style but it's a way more complex beer. Mead. Whatever, it's a great pint and you should try it. To be honest the taps have no real weaknesses. The honey red is malty and bitter-but less bite then you might expect from a rye. The stout....jesus. The creatively (?) named Intergalactic Space Modulator is a simply perfect blueberry cider-very much like a fresh tart pie in glass. With alcohol and no flaky crust that is. I could just go on and on, but really there are some truly magnificent examples of beercraft available here. They do tend to run long on sweeter beers/ciders, so if you aren't into that head for the stout or um, the other stout. They not only do kegs(glorious glorious kegs) but also growlers (so beautiful) and crowlers (tasy tasty crowlers.) They also have a beer club what costs a hundred bucks or so, but rewards you with a personal mug, long pours, significant discounts, loving glances from the beertender, and a steak dinner. Actually I'm joking about one of those things, but not the steak dinner, so still a very valuable thing to have. Pricing? Fine, it's six to eight dollars a pint. Ten or more to take a super awesome crowler home, more for a growler. The flights are pretty reasonable though at the same pricing as a pint which is just perfect for sampling with friends. Don't have all that many friends you say? Start telling folks you are coming here, and you might be surprised at how popular you might become. No kitchen alas, but hey it's not a perfect world. Did I mention how fantastic the beer and cider choices are here? A total five stars for that alone. So totally worth it.

Yelp
Cool and cozy place to hang out on a Friday evening. I think they close too early though and would have appreciated if they stayed open until later in the evening! Seemed like they have many local regulars. They unfortunately don't offer drink flights within an hour of closing, for logistical purposes.

Yelp
Being a lover of honey wine, cider, wine, port, tequila...actually let's just stop there. Alcohol= Love. Rabbit's Foot is a laid back spot with an older crowd. I felt like a baby here, but it was nice conversing with the bartender and some other patrons. You can tell this is a regular's spot. My cousin and I decided to do the sample tastings and got the whole mead, beer, cider experience. Personally, I really loved the hard apple cider, but everything else fell short for me. But hey for $5.50 it is quite a deal!

Yelp
This place has been on my bookmarks list for years, but I was never able to make it down here. Finally, I picked a random Saturday and said eff it, who needs an excuse to drink? And I have to say for me, it definitely lived up to expectations. First off, where else can you get 2 meads and 4 ciders (or beers, if you'd like) for a mere $8 (very generous pours of each, may I add)? I had: Raspberry mead: sweet and fruity Blackberry mead: a little more sour Hard apple honey cyser: tastes like your classic appl cider Hard raspberry cyser: one of my favorites Hard pear: definitely my favorite! Got a bottle of this to go Hard lemonade: didn't know what to expect from this, but it was surprisingly good! Definitely has a lemonade smell to it, with a light hint of lemon when you drink it. My server also very nicely gave me a sample of their sweet mead (their base to which they then add fruit for their fruit flavored meads) as well as their "Melia," which is an orange blossom mead. And wow, the Melia was amazing. Smooth, orangey, and really did taste like honey, without a hint of alcoholic burn (but deceptively strong at 10% alcohol). I got a bottle of this to go as well! And at $40, it was reasonably priced. They reportedly also have a 16 year old mead but alas they didn't have an opened bottle for me to have a sample of. As others have mentioned, the location is super random, as it's located in an industrial area. Definitely gets popular and crowded though, and with such a wonderful first experience I can see why. Their menu changes seasonally (ie almost out of blood orange, and once that's out they will be releasing their next ciders), so I will definitely be back to try their other offerings!

Yelp
I came here at 4pm on weekday, there was six people at the counter already. I think the place will be pack on weekends.

Yelp
So good...how can I just choose one? Started off with the flights...both beer and meade. And, I had to have the honey stout. Sooooooo smooth. Small spot, but a hidden gem. Drinks only. But they do have food trucks on Thursdays. I'll definitely be back to work my way through their Meade menu.

Yelp
I am not sure why this place is rated so highly on here. The location is in a sketch places in an industrial area and doesn't look like a Meadery from the outside at all. Once you get inside it's extremely small and musty smelling. The colours on the wall are dark red and green which make it feel even smaller than it is. Purchased two flights to sample all their options and was completely unimpressed. The actual size of the pour was decent but when you go to taste the drink it was undrinkable. Even though it seemed like it was very busy I just attiribute that to the small size of the location. The only positive is the service was actually very speedy and nice. Waited a very short time until we were helped and served. Overall do not reccomend going here.
