The Ultimate Guide to Boba in New York City

"Raccoon Cave is a raccoon-themed boba spot that just opened in January 2022. Started by the same owners behind Biao Sugar, the drinks are delivered via a furry raccoon’s paw in a small window. The walls and floor are all gray, mimicking rocks in a cave. The drinks are creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. The signature drinks include Taro Heaven (brown sugar boba milk, taro foam, brown sugar boba, herbal jelly, and pudding) and Raccoon’s Milky Way (signature brown sugar boba milk with milk foam)." - Anna Huang, Chloe Chan

Cutest bubble tea shop ever!!! Love the design and the store is very clean. The staff was helpful and I got 5 different drinks and they were all good. Love the devil egg! A must try.

I stumbled upon this store over last weekend and saw a huge line inside. Usually I tend to avoid crowded place but I was intrigued by the interesting decor of it. So I went in and ordered one taro flavored milk tea with less sugar(being health-conscious and all that). It was surprisingly good. The taro flavor is nice and distinctive while not overpowering the taste of milk and tea. It’s not too sweet but also not bland. Highly recommend! Plus I got my milk tea served by a raccoon’s paw!

I’m always looking for new bubble tea places and in the city there is always a new one. I stumbled upon this place walking by and it’s kinda east to miss. It doesn’t stand out. I went in it looks open but super cute. I love the idea. The prices are average. I had their lemonade and it was delicious and satisfying. I would recommend this place for anybody else walking by.

This place is one of the best boba teas near NYU!!! My friends and I got the Raccoon’s Milky Way, the Devil’s Egg and Taro Heaven. They all have heavenly taste! Definitely wanna go back next time. Highly recommended (if you’re a raccoon lover too :))

Excellent bubble-tea-to-go joint around NYU square. Friendly staff and speedy service. Highly recommended. P.s. half sugar might be just right, but they’ll remind you ;)

First time here today. I got me a taro heaven after the cashier recommended it to me since I wanted a soy milk made bubble tea. Very good tasting bubble tea.

I don't know. This is such an odd little place. We placed the order. And our coconut pudding was ready and handed to us by a gloves raccoon paw. The place was closed and dark and felt weird. I can't describe it. The coconut pudding was awesome. But once again, so weird. What do raccoons have to do with coconut pudding? I will go back here just so my friends and family can experience a raccoon giving them pudding.
