Another disappointing dining experience. I would like just one meal where the star's align. The supervisor sat us. No one, no one. Supervisor walks by 10 minutes later, asked how everything is going. Told her no one has stopped by as a server. BTW the restaurant is dead. Waitress stops by. A water for the wife, water and beer for me. Get the drinks, takes our orders, chef salad, salmon dinner and the special, fish and chips. The waitress disappears into the kitchen. Twenty-five minutes later another waitress is carrying the food. My water has been empty for 15 minutes. The 1st waitress walks up as the other waitress was placing the food on the table. I asked why she disappeared for 25 minutes. She said she was waiting for the food. I never saw her again. My wife found a 2nd supervisor to get the bill. This is a horrible trend that never gets better.

Been to this bar 3 times while the wife plays slots. I am amazed that Jonathan the bartender still works there. Hands Dover-down the worst bartender attitude I’ve experienced. No basic skills like; smile , prompt service, clear the empties from the previous customers, and apologize when you mess up by clearing my food and claiming my money for a tip while I used the restroom even though my jacket and personal belongings made it clear I am still here. Maybe 4 times will be the charm since 3 wasn’t.

They have really poor service. There was no one at the host station to meet or seat us. There was less then 5 people seated and 4 waitresses working. We sat ourselves and after waiting 15 minutes flagged down a waitress. We ordered appetizers and food. We waited another 45 minutes and no appertizers or food. When we asked our waitress about our food she brushed us off and said they were busy in the kitchen. We paid for our drinks and left without eating.

Would like to thank the manager last Thursday, Katie, for turning a bad eating experience into a wonderful one. She was very professional, conscientious, and definitely went above and beyond for us. Her staff needs to take lessons from her. Thanks Katie!

Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, is an awesome place to watch, legally wager on sports, & live harness races when in season, & a small but very nice private, simulcast horse racing book. The property has many excellent dining options, including a AUCE buffet, where you can watch the harness races, & twice a year Nascar races, from the buffet dining area. My favorite casino has many amenities, including a day spa, heated indoor pool with skylights, & a smallish, but adequate gym, that has two treadmills, free weights, & other machines, with decent locker room, & large open shower room. Book a night or two, & enjoy nice clean rooms, a Swarovski jewelry shop, Godiva Chocolate shop, oyster & sports bar, Frankie's Italian resturant, a 24/7 breakfast & lunch cafe, gift shop, coffee shop, with great sandwich & bakery items. Valet parking, & outdoor smoking area's. The top floor has a cozy decent sized poker room, with several poker tourneys, some as low as $40 to enter. I have wanted to try a low limit, low entry fee tourney, for several years now. My favorite, go to game of luck, & skill, is the craps tables. With a great group of dealers & box men. They used to have a $5 minimum bet table on sundays, i have rarely seen that, at any casino on the entire northeast coast. The property also annual, outdoor 3 or 4 day long, Firefly Music Festival. Its well worth the 45 minute drive down from Wilmington, Delaware. Thank me later, ask for buffet, or breakfast comps, if you play for a while. Win or lose, they want your business, & will also comp you a nice room, if you qualify.

Very poor service. Took a half hour to get a burger. Was good when it finally came. Waitress was horrible. Never asked us for another drink or refill. Took forever to get our bill and then forever to get change back.

Service wasn't the best but food was good.

Every State should have this! Just as awesome as Dovers!
