AMBIANCE
Ample seating, try not to come during weekday lunch rush, because it gets busy in here. We rolled in at 8 on a Tuesday, so it was pretty empty. Service was really sweet and efficient. I love the decor here.
FOOD
I'm not the biggest ginger beer fan, so this is just a review for Ma'ono rather than the entirety of RGB. I've had Ma'ono at the University Village location before, and don't remember it anything memorable, but the food I will definitely come back for another chicken sandwich in the near future.
The chicken sandwich is such a simple dish, with just four components, but Ma'ono knows how to make sure the flavors of each component add something to the entirety of the sandwich. The Hawaiian roll is perfectly toasted and provides a great sweet taste and fluffy texture. The mayo adds the needed moisture and acts to cool down some of the heat from the chicken. The pickles provide an acidity that cuts through the other three ingredients. Finally, the chicken is juicy, but retains its crunchy integrity. Overall, a great sandwich.
The fries were pretty standard, but you get a large portion with an order.
OVERALL
I don't know if it's just this location, but this sandwich was amazing. Coming back for sure.
