"This self-taught chef with Scottish roots rustles up inventive and exuberant cuisine that flies in the face of convention. He changes his menu every week according to what produce is to be had at the market. His fresh and meticulous dishes, such as Atlantic monkfish with carrots, satay and passion fruit, are dependably delicious. Recently redesigned, the restaurant is always busy." - Michelin Inspector

We had a lovely dinner in Racine’s on Tuesday evening, it was the best meal we had in Bordeaux. The food was super tasty and really good value. The flexibility on the menu was great, where each person can decide to have 4,5 or 6 dish’s, everyone on the table does not have to do the same which was great. The accompanying wine, as you’d expect, was beautiful. Highlights for us was the cod and the veal in particular. We will definitely be back when we’re next in Bordeaux.

Beautiful fresh flavours. We had the 4 plates in the evening for €44 and it was a great experience. The highlights were the tomato dish that packed a zesty punch and the artichoke dish that had a lot of richness. Lovely setting and great service

Interesting menu & AC , excellent service but be warned the dishes are micro- more the size for a 8 course menu, I went for lunch. - eggplant i adored-marcona almonds, just slightly sweet, miso & black garlic adds umami sauce yum, peach adds lots acidity , sisho leaf is everything in this dish, add lots of flavor -sea bream seaweed, green beans, lobster sauce- lime zest gelee a bit bitter not noticeable with other richness but adds tiny bit of acid. The sauce was very lobstery & then pure creamy, vanilla adds a little something but not physically thick enough to keep pickled mustard seeds from getting lost. And i would've liked more acid or spice would've been nice. I had to remove skin since I personally don't enjoy it if it isn't crispy though the blowtorch made it pretty. - fig sub apricot in the dessert, weird bitter olive sauce but with everything else added complexity, fig nice warm melts like a hot Sundae. Would've liked more slightly less done croutons, maybe more rosemary flavor. Would go back to see what else they come up with.

We had an amazing experience at Racines. We opted for the full 6-course tasting menu with wine pairings, and everything was absolutely spot on. Each dish was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced, with the wine selections complementing every course. The service was warm and attentive without being over the top. One of the highlights of our trip to Bordeaux. Highly recommend!

Was fantastic from starter to the desert. We were a French couple and one Norwegian. We all lived the place were we've been well received, staff all spoke English. Portions were reasonable and the wine was excellent "cote de Bourg". Each dish had a sweet and savory taste making it very interesting and unconventional. Will come back for sure.

The ambience was very cozy and nice. The staff very friendly and kind. For the most part, the set menu was good- I especially enjoyed the trout with carrot and passionfruit. The appetizer haddock was a bit salty but okay. The dessert with apples and oats also had a very interesting texture. Would come again!

Fancy and beautiful place. Staff were alright, had to wait a bit to order and just had the daily menu. Food was quality and very tasty. Really enjoyed it. The only drawback was that were were both very hungry at the end of the meal The main dessert was written 25 € each and we were asked for 30€ each bcuz they stated st Valentin was a holiday. Not cool to display that on their menu tho.

Google
Very enjoyable restaurant with good food and service. I liked the concept of choosing meals for your 4/5/6 course menu. We tried everything and loved it. Desserts especially! Price are very reasonable and it’s a good value for money.

Yelp
Playful simplicity. Excellent fresh produce in perhaps a French Nouveau style. Very light. Unlike the usual heavy fare. We rocked up a tad early after a bike ride in the countryside. Luckily scored a reservation. The menu is a fixed plate 3 or 4 course meal which is extremely affordable for a Michelin starred resto. The starter was a delightful small baked haddock fish cake. My entree of courgette carpaccio topped with beetroot and goats cheese was very summery with a slight sweetness. The chefs were very accommodating as my travel partner prefers vegetarian food due to her restrictive palate. They made an off menu polenta for her mains. My tuna steak was one of the best meals I have ever had. The palate cleanser of strawberry sorbet was sensational. Both desserts were brilliant. Recommended!

Yelp
Fantastic experience. Fresh ingredients with a small but intricate menu selection. Reasonable sized wine selection as well. Extremely well priced for the quality of the food and presentation. Personalized touch and very flexible with dietary restrictions. The service was lovely and the waiters were friendly and engaging. The owner/chef even came out to make sure that everyone was enjoying themselves and open to feedback. Best restaurant experience in Bordeaux. We had the pork Belly, scallops, beef fillet, trout, panna cotta, and chocolate mouse... all phenomenal!

Yelp
Great experience. Staff was great, nice and very helpful. Food was outstanding. Very unique and thoughtful. Not a big place. Maybe 10-12 tables, which made it very cozy. We were not pushed to finish our meal. Unique wine list which we enjoyed.

Yelp
Wonderful experience, helpful gracious wait staff. He recommended a wonderful reasonable wine, Pomerol. The food was exceptional, different flavors. Starters were particularly good. We were not rushed and it was a great dining experience.

Yelp
Thank you to Chef Daniel Gallacher and our wonderful waiter Cedric for a lovely evening and fabulous meal. This is our first visit to Bordeaux and we are so pleased that we were able to dine here. The delicious chocolate dessert will be a sweet memory that will stay with me forever! We had the three-course meal for 29€, which was a true bargain given the quality and preparation of the meal.
