Where to Go in North America for Food Lovers in 2026

"Opened in summer 2025 next to The Radical in Asheville’s River Arts District, this community hub offers studio space for more than 30 artists, extending the hotel’s role in the neighborhood’s post-hurricane revival." - Julia Eskins

As an artist here in these studios I'm in love with the Rendezvous and the community here. My fellow artists are amazing to be around as they create. The quality of art is world-class. Asheville is becoming its own unique school of art. If you are a collector of NC art, Appalachian, Queer, Outsider, or Asheville art, these working artist studios are a must. Here are a few favorite works at the moment: Adam Graham, Pamala Miller, Cynthia Llanes, Rand Kramer, Jay Pond, Brian Luzader, Rob Czart, Katie Kummerer, and Jasmine Steinscker.

I am so happy to see the River Arts District come alive with talented artists and beautiful art! Check out Rad Rendezvous - up on the hill on Roberts St!!! - next to Radical Hotel- the hotel is amazing with fine dining and a unique artsy vibe -there are many artists at the Rad Rendezvous - all with their own special talent and style! I’m lucky to be one of them - Studio M - landscapes with texture and unique impressionist style by Mara Viksnins !💕

This is THE place to find local art and artists in Asheville. Always new art to see, plus many times you're seeing the artists actually working on their newest work. When buying new pieces it always makes it better to get to know the artist and the story behind the work, and RAD is the place to do it.

Super pretty location, looking out over the river. There’s a wide variety of artists both showing and working in their spaces. Had an awesome time talking with an artist name Taryn that does fun monster themed art.

Yelp
I enjoyed this recently opened arts hub of collective art studios and gallery spaces with work from up to 40 artists. Many of the artists were working in their spaces so you could watch them or ask them questions about their process. This was a fun and funky space with an eclectic mix of sensibilities and viewpoints. The entry is also the River Arts District welcome center, and there was food and drink, as well as friendly people to answer questions. I purchased several pieces of pottery for friends. Stop in this vibrant space for a gift or a souvenir of Asheville.
