Love going to Radha Madhav Dham for a beautiful Diwali celebration. The Ram Leela play about Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Ravana was beautifully done and even funny at times. Very ingenious stage mechanics to make Hanuman fly to go pick up the entire mountain- hanging on a cable above cotton clouds. The monkey army - made up of little kids - was adorable. Ravana’s grand entrance was very powerful, rhythmic and impressive. Great direction, costumes, stage mechanics and props. Great effort from all who created this theatrical presentation of the classic and ancient play. Too loud though - had to stuff my ears with bits of napkins to stop from having ear damage standing near the speakers. People who sit in the front rows should be considerate and not stand up and block the view for those beyond on the back of the hall. One request : please don’t do the vouchers and tickets to buy food at food stalls. Please let us use VENMO or cash apps. I hate getting in line to buy more tickets and would rather skip my chai or desert than get in line again.

Tranquil and peaceful. Visited late in December. The temple celebrates life of Lord Krishna and Radha in their early years. Madhav ( meaning the sweet as honey) is another name or title of lord Kishna. Radha devotion and love of Krishna is depicted in many devotional songs and images.

Radha Madhav Dham is a serene and spiritual place with beautiful grounds. My kid loved seeing the peacocks roaming around they were such a delight! The temple is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming, perfect for families or anyone looking for a peaceful visit. We noticed there are hotel rooms for rent on the property, and it felt wonderful to spend time in the area we’ll definitely try staying there in the future! 🌸🦚🙏

This is a Hindu temple spread across a vast serene landscape, very beautiful and a great worship place. A must visit for all age groups.

Very peaceful location. I went for Janmashtami for the prayers. A large place with ponds, peacocks and place to sit and relax. Very easy to access the location following Google maps. I can only imagine how beautiful the location must be in spring and fall.

Really liked this place. Absolutely calm and peaceful.. good vibe… definitely will go back again… good place to enjoy the complete serenity 😊

July 4, 2025 review --- I've been there 3-4 times and this place always brings the peace. This place is focused on Goddess radha as name suggests but they also have lord Krishna statue next to goddess radha and some of her friends. Land or overall space when temple is built is huge. It's a giant entrance with a quite big parking lot. Volunteers are very humble and explains all the questions very politely. They have stay facility, kitchen which serves food for guests staying and snacks shop as well. One of the volunteers mentioned they have devoteee coming for overnight stay all across USA and even international. Every Sunday, they have an satsang type event, followed by lunch. This time, since it was rainy weather, we got to see the bunch of peacocks hanging around. They have a pond in back area and little trail to walk as well. Excited to visit the janmashtami there in August.

The temple is well made and cleaned, food service is fast and all volunteers are awesome!

Gorgeous and well maintained temple grounds, warm and inviting priests and volunteers, easy parking and most importantly, serene visit inside the temple. Look forward to more programming to have frequent reasons to return.

Worth a stop while on the way to/from The Salt Lick in Driftwood, Texas. It stands out as a gold topped shining beacon as you drive down the road to bbq heaven. It's free entrance and visitors are welcome. As we drove in we saw a family of deer standing by the side of the road. As we wandered the grounds we saw some peacocks. I love that this is an animal sanctuary as well as a Hindu temple. It was very quiet there and we decided not to go in because we didn't want to interrupt any services they were having. The building is lovely from the outside with lots of color and fountains. It was very peaceful and if you are looking for an interesting spot to stop while out in the hill country, this is it.

I really can't say anything bad about this temple. This is my first experience with Hinduism and the whole thing was amazing. The amount of positive energy in this place was overwhelming and really helped my meditation. I plan to go back on my days off and meditate. I would love to go to some yoga retreats and some other events. The staff was wonderful and answered my questions perfectly. Do not be nervous to go here as they except all walks of life. I plan to take my yoga mat next time and do yoga near the water.

I came across their event listing for the Holi celebration on Facebook and decided to come and check it out. The property is large and gorgeous so you should follow the path around the small pond and keep going. There is a small waterfall, small cliffs of rocks, flowers, swings, benches, arbors and signs explaining different areas and how they relate to their culture/religion. The Temple is breathtaking and complete with murals and a large pool area in the front. Everyone was very welcoming to us. For the celebration they had a pop up market in which I purchased earrings. They were also selling authentic clothing, shoes and doing henna. They had food stands that you had to purchase tickets to redeem at, a kids area, bouncy houses and of course the color throwing portion of the day. They threw out bags of Holi color into the crowds and a air born sea of colors ensued after that to music, dancing, smiling, laughing and hugging. I highly recommend attending the festival because there was so much love and happiness between complete strangers regardless of their faith. I do recommend bringing a change of clothes, a towel to dust off with or something to cover your car seats because I finally got all of the dust out of my car after two weeks! Also, the crowd can become a bit overwhelming so I recommend not being in the exact center if you are claustrophobic in any way.

This Hindu Temple on the way to the Salt Lick (in some eyes, TWO religious establishments) is open to the public during visitor hours, and despite any lack of commitment to changing or establishing new religious beliefs, it's worth stopping into, and attending, to broaden your horizons if this is new to you. The grounds are spectacular, as is the Temple, peacocks saunter along the drive, and visitors can take off their shoes and peruse the interior, while learning more about Satsang, Barsana's history and beliefs, and get a feel for the space. A pleasure to stumble upon.

This place is peaceful, beautiful and has great meditation and chanting programs. Love the peacocks and the natural beauty of this temple. Plus it is kept immaculately and people living there are very devotional

Beautiful large property,such a serenity around peacocks roaming around here and there,statues..Also they greet well first time visitors,they have lunch prasad too.It is a nice peaceful beautiful area to spend time.

Radha Madhav Dham is so amazingly pleasant and beautiful and so few Austinites even know it's here. They are very welcoming. They have festivals and holidays all the time and even a school. There are friendly peacocks to feed, beautiful gardens, and a nice gift shop. It's not even very far from town at all. Just past the end of Mopac.

This temple is gorgeous. The temple was closed when I went but it was such a beautiful and serene environment. There was so much greenery and water (California drought problems...) but I just felt a sense of peace when I came here. Yes, right after, I had loads and loads of meat (come on, it's right next to Salt Lick) BUT I feel like God would be okay with me because I don't lie, cheat, or steal :) The deities were draped very well and honestly, it would have been the perfect place to go on a romantic walk with someone. Yes, I do believe that temple and romance can mix. Well, I should hope so since my mom keeps praying that I get married some day...hahaha...I'd rather eat pork belly. I would have loved to see the temple open but the walk near the lake was just as peaceful.

Its a large property with a nice temple. It's not quite as beautiful and ornate as the one in Houston but the grounds and statues are beautiful and so is the hill country around it. Beautiful setting. Theres peacocks running around on the property.

A perfect serene and beautiful place to enjoy your day. Once you visit this place and you would definitely long to come again and again. Must visit for all.

The Barsana Dahm is a sanctuary for individuals to meditate, practice yoga, and gain an understanding of Hinduism with a decidedly Western bent. The temple's beauty surpasses those of temples throughout the continental United States, and it is a somewhat unknown treasure on the outskirts of Austin.

The Holi festival is a must attraction for EVERYONE!! this happens once a year around March 6 so look for it!! Soooo much fun!!!
