Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront | Best places to stay in Cape Town

"Branded hotels aren’t often known for their stellar location, but this is one that bucks the trend, with a seafront position that puts the ocean just metres from your balcony, with the popular V&A Waterfront just a five-minute walk away. The 177 rooms are spread across a range of categories, from budget-friendly doubles to spacious self-catering apartments ideal for longer visits. There’s a sizeable wellness spa on-site, and along with the seafront restaurant and unforgettable rim-flow pool there’s a breezy resort-style feel to the property making it ideal for family travellers and those looking for some serious R&R. Absolutely magical stay! Cozy, modern room with a stunning ocean view – falling asleep to the waves and waking up to breathtaking sunsets was unforgettable. 🌊🌅||Breakfast was delicious and varied, served on the terrace above the ocean, with dolphins swimming by! 🐬The restaurant staff were professional and warmly attentive, making every meal a joy.||Daily refilled water carafes, a wonderful pool and spa, and thoughtfully curated natural toiletries in the room added extra comfort. Housekeeping was outstanding – our room was always spotless and welcoming.||The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Safety felt excellent, with security present everywhere.||Perfect location near the vibrant Waterfront, with a friendly shuttle bus driver making every trip a pleasure.||Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town is more than a hotel – it’s an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended! ✨

We stayed at the Radisson Waterfront last week while in Cape Town for a concert, and I couldn’t have picked a better spot. The location is perfect, my son and I walked to and from the stadium safely at night, skipping the traffic and queues. The suite had been newly renovated and was absolutely gorgeous. Waking up right on the water was a dream, we actually saw dolphins playing in the waves right in front of us, so close it felt like we could touch them. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the bubbly – such a decadent weekend treat! The hotel team made my son feel like a VIP, which meant the world to me. The spaces are bright and spacious, and I love the artwork scattered throughout the hotel. Tip - if you're going to the stadium, for a game or concert - book here, gorgeous and so much easier!

Our company had a full day workshop at the Radisson. It was a huge success, the team lead by Fatima Busi was amazing, all our last minute needs quickly sorted. Tea, lunch everything of outstanding quality and on time. The sound, the room lay out, all was run smoothly and with pride! Friendly faces all day long! A huge thank you to Fatima, Amanda, Nasiphi, Craig, Nicole and Vuyu

We hosted the first part of our wellness yoga retreat in Cape Town at Radisson Collection Waterfront.||The rooms are lovely!||The location is divine!||Yet it’s the staff that really make this hotel a stand out! EVERY person on staff is full of smiles and kindness! The only goal at this hotel is to be a part of making your Cape Town visit wonderful!||We would absolutely stay here again!

The Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront in Cape Town treated us like important guests. No one does that anymore. Stay here and go back in time. Absolute perfection. Specifics: the best breakfast buffet ever (leaping dolphins included free), comforting evening turn-down service, fast laundry, quickly found transport.

The hotel is set in a stunning location, and the staff truly went above and beyond—especially during breakfast and happy hour. A special highlight was the piano player, who graciously performed Indian music for our group, creating a warm and personalized experience.||Unfortunately, our trip to South Africa began on a troubling note. Our tour operators, Craig Lucke and Bianca Els of Southern African Tours, took our payment but failed to make any reservations for safaris, accommodations, internal flights, or excursions—essentially abandoning us.||In contrast, the team at the Radisson was incredibly supportive during this stressful time. They offered to contact the authorities on our behalf and showed an extraordinary level of care and professionalism. Their kindness helped restore our faith after the disappointing experience with the tour company.

We hosted a seminar at the end of September at the hotel in the Harbour View & Grangers venue. The staff that assisted from events were exceptional especially the managers on ground - Noah and Solomon. Definitely returning to the venue again soon to host another seminar

Beautifully located hotel right on the waterfront and 2 mins drive from the V&A waterfront. Breakfast is superb, staff super helpful and friendly. Worth paying a little extra to have a sea view room but if your budget won’t stretch to it, drinks next to the ocean with waves crashing into the rocks is pretty special as well. Special mention to Carmen, the concierge who was incredibly helpful in finding us places to eat that accommodated for specific dietary requirements.
