So when I read the previous reviews I was horrified and we almost didn’t stay. HOWEVER we did stay and I’m so glad we did. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. Our room wasn’t at all cold however there should be a duvet/blanket rather than just a sheet, especially in winter. The heating/aircon system is loud and seems to come on when it wants but honestly it’s not that bad, it didn’t wake us up in the night. We also had a fantastic view. Any issues reception are really friendly and helpful. The room was really clean and so was the bathroom. All the lifts were working and the fitness centre was excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would 100% stay here again. The location is fantastic, there’s a subway station right outside and the hotel is in a safe spot. The hotel is really good value for money and I would recommend people to stay but keep an open mind. No it’s not luxury but that’s why the price is so reasonable.

I stayed here for the purposes of the New York Marathon weekend, a short walk to the Staten Island Ferry. We booked this hotel quite a long time ago. Outside of the hotel there is numerous scaffolding which hides the hotel, but is close by to two nearby subway stations. The selling point of this hotel is the location. Inside the front of desk and staffs in our experience were welcoming and helpful. During our stay the lift was a sketchy and somewhat outdated. As can be said for the general appearance of this hotel. There are some snagging problems to rectify; *Flickering lights *Air conditioning in the room cannot be adjusted *The door to our room has a gap so light is easily visible unless you place a towel down for bedtime. The room itself is adequate. Reasonably comfortable bed. Beds are on the smaller side but you only have a thin bed sheet and no duvet covers. We did not use the coffee of other facilities. The Wi-Fi can be described as ok but does cut out randomly. As we booked way in advanced our rates differed and if we did pay full price then we would have been disappointed. Overall a 3* star hotel with average facilities but location comes at a price.

These recent 5 star reviews are fake given the hotel is currently not operational. They lie and say they are "under renovation" but they are HOUSING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. I called a month before arrival and found out our reservation was moved to a different hotel. Day of arrival my reservation was canceled. They blamed Choice/Radisson but after investigation, I find out this is one of the many nyc hotels who are choosing to take money for illegals vs accommodating tax paying citizens. Choice needs to remove them from their portfolio!!! Response to the hotel: another lie. It was not friends and family. I am an EMPLOYEE so I know how the system works. And not just a line staff either. Obviously your hotel needs more training on the new choice LFF rates. Of all the times I used that email, I've never had that happen. And if CRS really did cancel then that will show up on my investigation . 4 choice reps already showed nothing about cancelation besides the hotel doing it. I made this vacation a year ago based on the incentive that our brand gives us yet this specific property ruined it. And then to find out you closed to travelers for illegal immigrants is beyond absurd.

Saryah b

Google
Radisson/Choice should be ashamed to have them associated with the brand. This hotel is accepting illegal immigrants and canceling last minute traveler plans. But even the reviews prior to them doing this were low . So I understand they are just money gouging the city since travelers didn't want to stay here anyways. I'm just mad as they caused me a waste of time and travel because the hotel management company doesn't understand the hospitality industry.

The hotel is truly falling apart. The bathroom door was installed out of plumb and so kept sagging open, the AC was old and extremely noisy, the room was too cold and there is no blankets available (the ones that you could get are a joke). Too high pillows, and also the bathroom's sink was always clogged since the drain top fell closing more than it is necessary (we had to use a plastic coffee stirrer to make it a bit higher above the drain). Sums up: it was a really bad experience. I will never come back and I will alert friends and family to avoid it.

Fellow travelers beware, all the bad reviews are true. My one star is for the awesome front desk person in the morning of 1st November who changed my room. Initially I was allotted an extremely bad room by the grumpy evening receptionist , the second room just made my stay tolerable enough to finish my time sentence here. I’m serving my last day tomorrow. The carpets and the floor in every room are so sticky! It’s disgusting. My initial room had no hot water, thankfully it was not an odd hour and someone came to fix it. You can’t control the temperature in your room, it was freezing cold and they have no blankets! You have a single thin bedsheet to cover up. If you ask them to switch ac off then the room is stuffy. My initial room had construction workers literally standing outside my window looking into my room at 6 and I couldn’t sleep! In my first room only one little lamp was working. In my second 2/3 lights were working. The lift reminds you of the the twilight zone tower of terror ride from Disney, sometimes the lights flicker too. 2/3 lifts were working during my stay. If you are a stickler for clean bathroom , it doesn’t feel too clean , shower curtains stank. I don’t think it’s the fault of the cleaning crew , this hotel itself is nasty . My advice in totality is please stay away. Do not think because it’s Radisson how bad can it be! Oh it’s pretty bad. I went in thinking exactly that and believing the good reviews more than the bad. I experienced almost everything in every bad review!

Travelled to nyc for a 5 night touristic stay with my son. Ill start by saying it is an OK stay, especially for the price we were paying. Significantly lower than other options, but maybe a little too high for what we got. Hotel is really well situated with easy access by the 2,3 subway lines. It is still undergoing renovations, no real lounge and no bar, and even the pictures in the room were not hung yet. Hotel reception was under-staffed, only one clerk at reception at all times. Very long time to get anything (because of long qeue), but staff was very friendly. When we were there only 1 elevator was working. It appeared the another one was on maintainance. The rooms are fairly big. No real closet though. Showers and toilets were basic. Shower hot water alternated between hot and lukewarm with little way to control it. We only asked for housekeeping twice. The second time we were left with no towels in the room and i did not get any until i physically went down to wait at reception. I read a lot of complaints about air conditioning. Cant say anything about that because during our stay did not need to use. Regarding blankets we were only given (warm) blankets towards the end of the stay (so there are to be given). It is quite noisy (from the street), and the view isn't much - office across the street. It is an ok choice if you want to save on expenses.

Awful hotel. Receptionist was on dinner break when I was trying to check in. What?! The carpet in the room was dirty and the room was dirty overall. The faucet was leaking and the bathroom was grimy overall. Even though I had the “Privacy Please” sign on the doorknob, housekeeping still decided to knock for some reason. There was no shampoo due to it being on back order. Again, what?! I’ve never been to a hotel where they ran out of shampoo. They’re living off of the location. Avoid this place…

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the attractive and inviting photos on their website. This place is shite. I was supposed to stay two nights but am only staying one. I would rather not be staying at all but too tired after traveling all day to find another option. 1. There is no restaurant or bar or lounge of any kind. 2. The elevators may or may not take you to your floor and slam the doors shut very quickly even if you stick a hand or foot out to stop them. 3. The hallways are dingy and stuffy 4. THE ROOMS..... oh lord...... FILTHY *The carpets are so grossly dirty and stained. Fingernail clippings and other debris all over floor. Obviously this room hasn't been vacuumed least Of all properly cleaned in quite some time. *Bathroom lights do not stay on and turn off every minute or so. This is great when you are trying to shower in a bathroom with no windows and no other light source. Also great when on toilet. *THE CLIMATE CONTROL IN ROOMS DOES NOT WORK. I called the front desk and they ended up sending a man to my room at 10:30 at night to MANUALLY ADJUST the wall unit AC. I have no ability to turn it on or off or up or down. If I want anything changed I have to CALL THE FRONT DESK AND HAVE MAN WITH LADDER COME INTO MY ROOM TO MAKE ADJUSTMENT. *Bed is old, cheap, and swayed like a hammock. Sheets are scratchy. All in all including hotels I've stayed in when young and tromping around the world and staying at places in third world countries this is in top 5 of THE WORST. Really too bad as should be nicer and location is good. But unfortunately icky pooey dirty, inconvenient and not comfortable. Don't make the mistake I made. Read these reviews- don't look at website. (I didn't look at yelp until after I checked into my room. Won't make that mistake again.)

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars I would! Easily one of the worst hotel experiences that I've ever had! Booked a queen size room accidentally, asked to pay for a bigger room, they say they had none so i figured I'd try to make it work! Get to the room and the supposed queen room was really a tiny bed meant for one. We had no hot water! Door accessing the room wouldn't lock! That's extremely dangerous so they move us to another room! This room had the same tiny bed, dirty floor, zero hot water and after about 7pm- the roaches arrived!!!! Like who wants to kick it with roaches!! And I for damn sure wasn't trying to transport them back to Cali!! I called and booked another hotel because the staff was extremely rude and said they had no more rooms! Then they sent this guy to the room who sprayed what smelled like pure bleach in the bathroom- leaving the roach in the bathroom dead and the rest of his friends on the other part of the room free to mingle!! Plus, Now breathing in the tiny unventilated room became impossible, so we left immediately! Did I add, I have an auto immune that causes lung disease so this became a horriblely dangerous situation medically!! Oh, and let's not forget the mold, mildew, and rust throughout shower! I complained to Raddison and eventually a manager called and said he'd refund the rest of my money because we left after only being there for a few hours and had booked 2 nights. We were only refunded by Priceline for one day. It has now been over a week and I have yet to receive that other half of my money! He also offered a free night should I come back to New York! I'd have to be some kind of fool to actually book with this hell hole again!!! All free Shit, ain't good!!! Worst part of this was it was my birthday and after traveling all day with my children- one of which has Down syndrome, Instead of partying it up and having a great time, I had to cancel my reservations and spent my night changing hotels! Only good part was my daughter left her Apple Watch when we left and they were kind enough to send it to us!

Yelp
Was here yesterday for a quick night stay, and it was a very interesting stay, to say the least. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, the rooms can definitely use some upgrading. My room was switched 4 times last night due to issues within each room that was assigned. The first room was a box, like literally a small box. Wasn't happy with that so they changed us. The next room, the toilet continuously flushed without stopping, it also leaked along with the ac, which had carpet and it was gross to walk on a wet carpet floor. I'm also sure that wasn't sanitary. The next room they moved us to, had a broken ac. Instead of them changing us again immediately, they had us wait 30 mins for the maintenance man to come and take apart the ac to see that it was indeed broken. The rooms had no thermostat, and of course no windows that opened. We chose a city view and got another building out of the window. So once the maintenance man declared the ac broken, they moved us again to a room where the ac would cut off and on all night long. It was stuffy and humid in the room, then it got super cold, then really hot all over again. I'm pretty sure I'm catching a cold from the hot and cold all night long. The bed wasn't a Queen but a double. All in all this hotel was a bust. It is NOT a 4 star hotel. Not by a long shot. The shower was gross! There was no shower door, just a cheap curtain that wet up the entire floor: careful walking on the wet tile. I didn't take photos, but book at your own risk. I will never stay here again... The only pro was it was close to multiple train stations and the stock exchange was right around the corner. The morning crew was also very very nice. The night crew, not so much.

Amanda K R.

Yelp
Stayed here Sat-Sunday and loss of a star for a very warm room and the inability to lower the heat on the thermostat. Emanuel at the front desk was very helpful. Nice waiting/lounge/common area: filtered water, coffee and tea offered. The Bailey Pub located just around the corner has some delicious grub, full bar, dining room and plenty of televisions. Located in the heart of Wall Street, which means pretty quiet on weekends. Old town feel, plenty of places to dine but check ours, for repeat, weekends aren't as crazy as the Monday - Friday stock grind. Accommodations for my daughter and I offered up a Dorm room feel. Two single beds, pretty comfy but room was too hot. Plenty of mirrors, well lit, clean bathroom with shower stall only- n tub. Close to subway and taxis easily hailed. Found hotel/room on Hotels.com and scored a good deal- hence schlepping to Financial District for accommodations. Hint: subway back to midtown if you need. Uber or taxis will usually take you on the FDR to get back into midtown (just easier for them I suppose?)

Yelp
This place used to be called "Club Quarters." No matter how you slice it, I had my two worst night sleeps here. Forget that the room is teeny tiny. I could live with that. The bed is the absolute worst- it feels like a platform bed. Both nights I tossed and turned- mind you I am one of these people who sleep through the night. The room was also very stuffy- I had engineering come up to the room but it didn't help. The phone didn't work to receive I coming calls (I could dial out) so they had to fix that as well! The lobby is nothing. I had a water in my room which I thought they would give me another for my 2nd night but they didn't. I would not stay here again. The only upside was that it is around the corner from my work headquarters.

Julio C.

Yelp
This was a homeless/ prison shelter during Covid for 2 years. I did not see them doing much work on it afterwards so I highly doubt any renovations or deep cleaning were ever done. Much better choices don't be fooled by pics or location.

Maureen G.

Yelp
The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was awful. They had three elevators, two of which were out of service. On our last day, the third one stopped working. Not fun when you are staying on the 16tj floor. The HVAC couldn't be controlled in the room, engineering had to be called to raise or lower the temperature and the system itself sounded like a plane landing everytime it kicked on. Also, no blankets on the bed, just sheets. Do yourself a favor, stay elsewhere.

Michael F.

Yelp
Absolute nightmare. Booked on Priceline express deal when our flight was cancelled on Christmas and NO WATER IN HOTEL. Also, hotel knew there was no water when they accepted our reservation. Pipe burst didn't fix or offer to relocate a single guest for the full 24 hours we've been here. No toilets no showers, hotel is disgusting and old. It's an old club quarters that must've been bought by Radisson recently and has NOT been refurbished or even cleaned it seems like. Elevators and hallways dingy and nasty. Booked a "4 star hotel", got this S*&$T HOLE. Guess that's what you get when you trust Priceline and Radisson. Thanks for ruining our Christmas

Emily H.

Yelp
This hotel is acceptable if necessary but has some annoying problems. Super dirty and dusty around furniture. Water fountains on each floor have been shut off and the one in the lobby is incredibly slow. Took several minutes to fill a bottle. (Front desk said that's just how it is.) TV system is very slow. It's supposed to be able to pair with a phone but it doesn't work because they've gotten rid of the individual room WiFi and are letting everyone use the same network that is not password protected. The room has had a couple upgrades--looks like new art, headboard, etc. But the lobby is not appealing either. Oh and it's 8:30 pm and there is still loud construction noise outside my window but hey it's New York.

George T.

Yelp
Not a great experience. Needs upgrade bad. Location good. Invest in your future.

Eddy C.

Yelp
The hotel and the staff at the Radisson were amazing. They went out of their way to accommodate us during our stay. We were running the NYC Marathon and miscalculated the extra time we would require post race to get back to the hotel. When we realized, we spoke to the front desk and they immediately made arrangements so we could keep the room a little longer. This helped with showering and changing post race. They went above and beyond what you would expect and they will be our go to hotel for future stays in the city. The room and location within the city also can't be beat. We were steps away from the 2 and 3 trains and the 1 train was a couple hundred yards away.

Susan K.

Yelp
I should not complain because Christmas in NYC is expensive and I booked at an extremely good rate on Priceline. This is where the goodness ends. They only put coffee in the room if you speak to the housekeeper directly. This is a hit or miss. The walls are so thin you can hear a whisper in the next room. For our week stay, we had male partiers and screaming kids. No quiet seniors on our floor. The carpets were gross, dirty and worn. The shower grout was black. If you are over 5'10" your feet will hang off the twin beds. I will not reserve again even when taunted with a cheap rate.

Polina M.

Yelp
Outdated tooms, tiny bathrooms need a revamp in particular, room cleaning was very lazy, bed not comfortable with weirdly hard AND too-soft pillows and rough blanket. Worst thing of all: noisy and out-of-control air con in rooms that woke me up through the night during my business trip. Location is good, but avoid if possible..

Iuliana F.

Yelp
My son and I have recently spent 8 nights as guests of this hotel. We chose it because it had reasonable-priced rooms with twin beds. It turned out to be clean, warm, and well-situated for our needs. However, our first two nights here were not great due to the noisy a/c that turned on and off throughout the night. We were too exhausted to change rooms, especially without the reassurance that the next a/c would be any different. Jackie at reception offered a solution that saved the rest of our nights: call the engineer to switch the a/c off in the evening and to switch it back on in the morning (this involves an engineer getting up on a ladder to turn the a/c on/off manually). We also asked for blankets, and with those we found that we didn't need to have the a/c working again for the rest of our stay, despite the temperatures outside being in the 20's and 30's. The room was warm enough at night, and the window black-out blind helped to keep both light and cold out. Both day receptionists were very helpful during our stay. Kirsten gave us metro advice, while Jackie, who offered the saving a/c solution, also gave us a discount for the first night we couldn't sleep and found us a ride to the airport when uber was unresponsive. I'd stay again at this hotel. In spite of the initial hiccup, my son and I had a great time here.

Kim A.

Yelp
I initially booked the room because it was rather in-expensive for NYC. Overall - it was just fine for what we needed - just a place to sleep when we got off of our red-eye and after we got back from a night out. But, the room is rather small (not all that surprising for NYC I guess?) and the parking isn't on-site and is rather expensive. It did mention the cost, but wasn't expecting it to not be on site. I think that if needed, we would probably stay here again since it was in a rather quiet area... but would possibly also look elsewhere.

Kevin P.

Yelp
First night here, awesome staff, tremendous location. Very clean, comfortable bed and quiet. Not sure why others have sub par reviews for this place.

Amanda F.

Yelp
It was good enough for one night. But we booked a queen size bed and got one that's smaller than a double and the air conditioner randomly started clanging in the middle of the night. Also the bathroom door didn't close all the way and there was no vent in the bathroom. Overall, not impressed.

Yelp

Yelp
I booked this hotel through Priceline based on the advertised 4-star rating, the price, and location. Excellent price and location, no complaints. Minimal amenities, some issues with the rooms, such as mold in the bathrooms and problematic air conditioner in one of the two rooms we booked. The customer service was hit or miss though, and the rooms are very small. When approached with the issues, management on site agreed to a refund, and even signed a handwritten note agreeing to refund part of our booking. However, when we attempted to work back through Priceline, the same hotel staff denied agreeing to that refund, even after providing a handwritten note stating as such. The overall experience was unbecoming a 4-star hotel and more consistent with a 2-star hotel. If all you want is location, this hotel works. If you want anything else, I recommend anywhere else.

Aimee H.

Yelp
Incredibly bad experience here. There was loud construction noise all night long for the three nights I was here. That's not really their fault but it made my stay miserable and I won't risk coming here again. Maybe they need better windows to muffle the noise. Also, the bed was uneven, lukewarm (not hot) water in the bathroom, and not especially clean. Sloppy paint job makes it feel like a cheap motel.

Cassandra C.

Yelp
This place was fine for the price. It is set in a very convenient location. The lobby and my room in general was nice. It was a good size and we had a nice view. Unfortunately I was on a pull out that was rock hard. The main bed had a very thin comforter. Upon asking for two comforters when they didn't bring it with the sheets I requested for the pull out, I was only given one duvet with no comforter inside. Due to rain the people I shared the room with mentioned water splashing on their heads during the night; we were not on the top floor. Also could use maintenance and extra cleaning- faucet was super wobbly and the toilet was dirty. I was disappointed to learn they got rid of the complimentary wine hour that the Club Quarters (what this hotel used to be called) used to provide.

J M.

Yelp
We stayed here when it was Club Quarters as well as the past weekend , now the Radisson. The good: can't beat the location, room was clean, staff was nice and they let me check in very early ,as I requested over the phone a few days prior. The bad: no parking, they credit you $10.00 for parking in a nearby lot. it took literally 5 minutes for hot water to come out of the shower/faucet, the TV had a mind of its own, we couldn't turn it off, my wife had to reach back and unplug it, and lastly, my side of the mattress was broken, my butt was nearly on the ground. Not sure how or why the housekeepers would miss that one.

Audrey B.

Yelp
We booked our rooms several months ago when the hotel was still Club Quarters. By chance I discovered that the hotel had switched owners. I was quite concerned after reading a number of negative reviews about the new ownership on Trip Advisor but fortunately needlessly so. Our rooms were clean, nicely decorated with adequate closet space, a comfortable bed and large enough for my husband and me. The bathroom while not large easily accommodated one person. Perhaps the the icing on the cake was the hotel staff. To a person, they were friendly, attentive and helpful. We, along with our son and daughter-in-law would not hesitate to stay at the Radisson again.

Janet N.

Yelp
This will be my favorite hotel when I come to New York on my next trip. We booked through Booking.com and not checking email missed the confirmation of our booking. When we arrive to check in this morning,of course we do not have our rooms and Kristal, the manager calm and positive helped us called Booking.com. She was put on hold for quite a long time and being a long weekend the front desk was busy. She told me she would take care of us and make sure we have some where to stay. I like her positivity. Sure enough, she had a cancellation and she helped made our day. I highly recommend Radisson Hotel on 52 William St. Room are clean and the location nicely situated.
