Raffaello's Pizza

Overall it’s a good place to eat. There’s not a lot of options in this area if anything this is the only fast food place. I usually get the 2 pizza combo with fries and a drink. The pizza is really thick so if you like thin crust this won’t be it for you, but the pizza is pretty good. The Service is ok, I work in this area and I usually come here for food. All though the sign says No Public restrooms they will let the local kids use the restroom but not if your a worker in the area. I asked to use the bathroom and they said no. 5 min later a local kid asks to use the bathroom and they let him use it. I didn’t like that part. Either then that I give it 4 stars. The chocolate cake was ok nothing specials

Nice small place, with good size menu. Food was fresh and delicious. Double cheese burger with fries and a drink. Spegwith meat sauce garlic bread and a salad. Fresh crisp salad. Highly recommend this establishment. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

I only tried the zucchini fries because I was hungry, try to eat veggies and this was on my way to other errands. The breading was great, the size of the cut on the fries was too big, so the bread was falling off, they were greasier than other places. The size of the order was sub par for a lot of other places I've had these at before. I will be back to try other menu items. The service was great.

Ordered the bacon cheeseburger. It was good and came quick. Bacon thicker than other places. Patty was thicker too.

Very good pizza. A little expensive but again, the pizza is delicious and they offer big portions. The employees are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the only gluten free item (that I’m aware of) on their menu is soup, but they are working on designing a GF crust.

Raffeallo's service is above and beyond. The food is very fresh and tastes good, from the breakfast burritos to the pizza. I would recommend Raffaello's to anyone who looking for a good quick meal.

My first time Palos Verdes, and I to Raffaello's with my five-year-old because he wanted spaghetti. It tasted great! We were definitely not disappointed. There were two women who helped us, and they were both friendly, timely, and helpful. So glad I found this gem. If I ever visit PV again, I'll make sure to stop by again.

Pizza Old school pizza place. Favorite of the local high schoolers 1, ambiance You probably want to get the pizza to go. Everyone pretty much does The inside is worn. The pictures are crooked. The tables chipped. The floor covered in crumbs (how do they get an A?). The booths have upright backs. It's exactly what you expect. Don't judge - it's a slice of Americana. Note: no public bathrooms 2, food I only had the pizza: Medium crust pizza, good flavor. Plentiful cheese and they don't scrimp on toppings. If you think of a generic American pizza , this is it. And you either love that style and come here or you go to another establishment for a variation. (Eg Chicago , New York or real Italian ) I'd have to say that this and Pedones are about the same in terms of ambiance and food. Choose one based on your proximity if you want this style of pizza 3,conclusion Non pretentious, owner operated local pizza place in lunada with stereotypical American pizza at good prices.

Raffaello's is our go to place when we are picking up dinner for the beach. Enjoyed the beef ravioli with meatballs tonight - delicious. The Raffaello's sandwich and meatball/sausage sandwich were also a fantastic choice. We share between 3 people and always have leftovers. The people who work there are amazing. Started going on the regular after they provided meals for the families affected by the slide up in Portuguese Bend - was so grateful as my 86 year old mom lives up there alone and really benefitted. What a way to support the local community!

Pizza is delicious! Burgers are only so-so. We enjoy the diner feel and the staff is always friendly.

I was expecting more due to the magnificent reviews. It's okay food, with okay taste. The place is really small, and it felt really hot inside there (not sure if the a/c was on). Not too many places to sit down and eat around there.

If Raffaellos could make a decent thin crust pizza this would be an absolutely outstanding restaurant in Palos Verdes. Unfortunately they dont. The slices are like a pile of white cheese on barely cooked dough. Cheese falls off the limp slice when picked up. It's as if they need to cook it at least another ten minutes. Other than that, the other food is great, and I truly love the place and the great people that work there.

The cheese is not good ! The prize is okay but the flavor is definitely lacking......: service was okay and we weren't even able to dine in because the chairs were placed on top of the table.

Grew up eating at Raffaello's. Every time I visit this restaurant the staff is amazing. They are friendly and have great customer service. But the best part is their delicious food!!! The food taste the same since I've been coming here. Homemade fresh Pizza! Looks great in here as well brings me back to my childhood love it !

Going downhill unfortunately. They started charging a 4% surcharge for credit/debit which means they are trying to make money on non-cash customers (if they are getting charged more than 3% by their credit card processor than they should go find an alternate). Ordered zucchini stocks that ended up getting burnt zucchini slices. Two times I have added requests for the chicken sandwich and both times they got the order wrong. Not sure what's going or if there are new owners.....

Pizza is really good but rest of the food is horrible . Service is usually friendly it depends who is working I guess . Pasta looks like they just threw things from a can , size are big I guess to make up for the horrible quality. It surprising that they can have bed service when their business is mainly from locals. The neighborhood is nice I guess they have money for nice houses and 0 taste in food .

This place allows you to eat to go, or dine in. If you dine in, you order and pay at the counter, and come back for your food when it was ready. I ordered a chicken alfredo penne, dinner portion, since they were out of clams (it was noon on a Saturday.. you are out of clams??). It came with a salad and garlic bread. The downside to order the dinner portion, I had to get up on two occasions.. once to get my salad, and halfway through eating my salad I had to get up again to pick up my actual entree and the garlic bread. I started eating the chicken alfredo penne... They use egg in their alfredo base, but was not beaten in well, as I could see spots that were yellow-orange, like bits of scrambled egg in the sauce. It could have used a little bit more chicken. The one thing I did notice was.. the sauce was very bland. I am not a big salt eater--but the sauce was kinda sweet due to the lack of salt. Towards the end of the meal I realized I hadn't eaten my garlic bread.. and took a bite of the saltiest garlic bread I have ever had. Did they forget to season the sauce and double seasoned the bread instead? I don't understand. I left it. The staff at the counter was very nice, so that is a plus. The torpedo sandwiches and pizza seemed popular to other customers that came in. if I happen to be in the area again, maybe I'll go that route.

Looks can be deceiving. Went here TWICE and was DISAPPOINTED BOTH times. The pizza looks like pizza, but does not taste like a pizza!! Choked on a bell pepper the first time I came here, and the dough was so raw in the middle. Don't get me started with the cheese and sauce...I don't know what they put in there but it DOES NOT TASTE GOOD!! Day 2 since I've eaten here and my STOMACH is KILLING ME!!! Also, they let people with NO MASK into the restaurant which I found so DISTURBING and DISGUSTING!! Take your money somewhere else people, better off eating dominos pizza. smh. How hard is it to make a dang pizza!!! Never coming here again. I don't know how ya'll eat this but I feel bad for your stomachs. 3rd update in 3 years. Other reviews were about pasta. For the first time, I had a burger today. It was delicious! I had read other reviews that mentioned the burger so I decided to try it. Burger, fries & soda for under $10. Wow. Love Raffaello's; love supporting small local businesses.

So we ordered a pizza and a pasta dish. Honestly gotta say the pizza tasted like a really bad bowling alley pizza (cardboard) very dry no sauce. The pasta was too creamy and soggy. First time ordering from here. Hopefully someone else gets better food.

Service is friendly and prompt! Pizza is constantly delicious! love the crust. its the regular thickness not the thin crust. I get delivery and its comes still hot! not sure how they do that but on these really cold rainy days, its so appreciated.

You may already know that there are limited restaurant options in Lunada Bay Plaza: it's this place, the sushi place and the French bakery slash cafe. So being the only game in town made me very concerned about receiving poor value here. Unfounded. This appears to be a local place that has been beloved for decades. Sort of like The Appetizer for PVE. I tried a small Spicy Chicken sandwich. With a large iced tea and tax my total was almost exactly $10. So pretty reasonable in a location where you wouldn't expect that. The sandwich was warm and tasty. The most critical element of a proper Italian sandwich is the roll, and I'm pleased to report that these have the proper flaky outside chewy inside properties that aficionados crave. I expect they may be from Buscemi's Bakery, who supplies better sandwich shops. Really looking forward to trying the actual pizza next time...kicking myself for not getting a slice!

Placed a Postmates order and the food wasn't tamper proofed. The chicken fettuccine was okay but the fried zucchini was totally burnt and way too salty, almost like they hadn't changed the oil it was fried in in a very long time. Too many strikes for me to order from them again. What a bummer.

Amazing family owned Italian restaurant. Huge portions.....and ALWAYS so friendly and accommodating. Never have to wait foe a table. The food is amazing.....enough for leftovers for m2 nights!!!

This is hands down the BEST RESTAURANT EVERRR! Raffaello's food is delicious, my absolute favorite is their chili cheese fries ! The way the cheese melts in your mouth and all the flavors combine in one. So far I've tried almost every item on the menu and NOT ONE DISH DISAPPOINTS !!! It makes me so happy they're still up and running during this pandemic, and a huge thank you to the workers there that always polite, whether that be on the phone, in person, or through delivery. I will never stop coming here. Thank you Raffaelos for always serving amazing food. I will post more photos of each dish I try ;)

Great food and great service. This greasy spoon is the perfect place for the end of a day at the beach. It is a favorite local hangout for the high school kids. Great takeout place.

Last night I called to order a pizza and kindly asked the man to make sure there are toppings over the whole pizza because in the past we have had deliveries in which the pizza didn't have enough toppings, like a meat lovers looked like a pepperoni pizza or the above photo which was a mushroom pizza. I was told flat out that I WAS WRONG because he makes the pizza and that he piles on the toppings all over the pizza. He continued to insist that I AM WRONG. Ok so I hung up and will never order from Rafaellos again. Would you want to eat the pizza above and feel like you got your money's worth?!? Unbelievable. No customer service and the man was rude and offensive. We all make mistakes but not this guy.

Did you know Raffaellos pizza is now serving BREAKFAST BURRITOS. YESSSS!!!!... if your in the area they have Breakfast Monday thru Saturday 8am-11am. They have 3 burrito options to choose from. If you are a meat Lover try The dominator. If your Into just veggies try The lighthouse. And if you like veggies and meat try Lunada Bay breakfast burrito. I give it a 10/10. They even have there Secret homemade salsa and homemade season potatoes OMG amazing.

Love! To the spicy crispy chicken to the slices of pizza and even AMAZING breakfast burritos everything is good and such a friendly staff! Even came out to talk and make sure my family and I were enjoying our evening. Thank you Raffs we will be back soon

I dont know what happened but my chicken breast sandwich is soooo small compared to the last review. The sandwich was alll bread. Last time comin here Yay super duper awesome grilled chicken w itg swiss combo. The chicken sandwich was fresh and grilled with fresh lettuce and tomato. The fries were a huge amount and very tasy also

This is one amazing hidden gem! From the pizza to their cheesecakes! Their burgers are very delicious and their pizza is amazing! Their pastas are also very good. The people working here are really friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this hidden gem.

EVERYTHING is sooooooo bomb and so cheap! We got a bomb *ss pizza, meatballs, ravioli, chilli cheese fries, regular fries and salad all for $50! The food comes hot and fresh! Highly recommend!! Thank you guys!

I've been here many times and all of the food options are delicious! At first I thought it was pricey but the portions can last for two meals or more! I love the salads and the pizza! Highly recommended!

Hidden away in a small corner of the world, Rafaello's i say has the best pizza base around. The pizza was super tasty. I usually throw away the crust but not this one, i enjoyed the crust just by itself. The reviews about their other food items seems to be good and will definitely return to try the other items, if not, just for the pizza.

Top 5 pizza I've had in LA for sure. Honestly, you should try it out. We always order takeaway, but the staff is always so warm and friendly.

I have been going to raffaello's since I was a kid. I used to ride my bike here with my bestie every weekend so this is a really nostalgic place for me. I recently moved back to the area and I have to say their food still tastes like it did 20 years ago! Also now that I'm pregnant I have dreams about their food! Thank you raffaello's for always being here and keeping your food quality and consistency the same!

It's good but this place has alot of inconsistencies in terms of the quality of food they make. Maybe it's because they're always busy or maybe irs just not that good. Sometimes the sandwiches are good and sometimes they come with pepperoncini stem and all. Sometimes the chicken strips are good and sometimes they're hard as a rock. Sometimes the pizza is good and sometimes it's not. And sometimes they screw up your entire order and sometimes they don't. I don't know I've told myself many times I wouldn't order from these guys again but sometimes I miss it I guess. Who knows maybe I'll stop ordering from them sometime soon.

I absolutely love the family who owns and operates Raffaelo's. My daughters and I came by 1 to 2 times a week during COVID and we're so happy they survived. After I had ordered, I overheard a man order the pastrami & Swiss sandwich, which had almost been my choice. I asked him how it was and he said so-so.....that the burger was much better...... in fact the best burger on the PV Hill, in his opinion. He said he has their burgers all the time for lunch so figured he would get something different today. So I got all excited about my burger, expecting something really great. It really wasn't. LOL The bun, like all the bread at Rafaello's, comes fresh daily from a bakery in San Pedro (I was told), and it was indeed a nice change from run-of-the-mill buns. Last night at Prince O'Whales with an H, I had the Monday night burger special: Charbroiled burger with fries or rings plus 2 draft beers, all for 6 bucks. And that burger kicks some serious ass, as do the piping hot fries, even though it's a dive bar burger. It's amazing. So maybe I'm not really a Burger Snob after all, that's just BS. So F the BS in PVE and H for hells yeah POW. Can't wait for next Monday.....

I had the Mexican pizza out of sheer curiosity and what a surprise! one of the best pizzas I have ever had! Really great pizza from crust to toppings.

Love this family business. Especially like the house mozzarella salad- they are generous with portion and always fresh. Their Sicilian pizza is yummy but consider one hearty slice is like two regular slices. Well oiled machine and show they are impeccably ensuring everyone is enjoying food In house and or take out.
