Raffetto's Fresh Pasta

Such a great spot for anything pasta-related. They sell fresh pasta, dry pasta, frozen options, and really nice pantry items too—basically everything you’d want to put together a cozy dinner at home. They even had heart-shaped pasta for Valentine’s Day, which was such a cute touch. I ordered the black pepper fresh pasta and had it cut to preferred width. Special shout-out to WILLIAMS! Super knowledgeable, gave thoughtful recommendations, and their customer service was genuinely on point. The whole experience felt warm and family-style, not robotic or rushed like a lot of places can feel. The entire team looked great, was efficient, helpful, and really kind. It felt like a cozy, human interaction rather than just a transaction. Will definitely be coming back.

If you haven’t been to Rafettos Pasta, are you even carb-ing correctly? 😄 This place is an absolute NYC treasure. The pasta is so fresh it practically introduces itself. You walk in for “just a pound” and leave cradling enough ravioli to feed a small Italian village. No frills, all flavor — the kind of old-school spot that makes you feel like you’ve unlocked a delicious secret of the city. 10/10. Would gladly plan my week around their fettuccine.

Their sausage makes me wonder where I have been the last 60 years- even better than Esposito’s provolone sausage. And their ravioli? Excellent.

authentic pasta shop on houston. fresh pasta and frozen fresh pasta. so many sauces and just setting foot in the store takes you to italy. a go to of mine for a nice sunday dinner. must go if you live here or have a kitchen in your hotel/airbnb.

I grew up in Greenwich Village Manhattan during the 70’s & 80’s and this was our go-to place for “the best” ravioli, tortellini and pasta in NYC, and it still is! all of the fine restaurants in our neighborhood served this ravioli. I now live in Florida, but regularly get shipments. So many of these amazing stores and restaurants are long gone, but thankfully this one is still thriving.

This is one of my absolute favorite spots in Manhattan -- a must-visit if you're in Greenwich Village! Their homemade pasta is unlike anything I've ever had. The ravioli, in particular, might be the best I've had ever -- restaurant or homemade, nothing compares to Raffetto's. I've been coming here for years and just recently discovered they also make ice cream -- and it's to die for! The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, too. If you buy fresh pasta, they'll even give you cooking instructions to make sure it comes out perfectly.

Raffetto's is a SoHo/West Village neighborhood staple! Every delicious Italian food specialty you can think of is made there from the best Arbiatta sauce to Lobster ravioli!! You can get some hard to find breadsticks, panettone or homemade cannelloni. Every item seems to be made with love!! You no longer need to pay in cash only!!

Service was great. Food was Amazing! The BEST sauce I've ever had! I forgot the name.of the gentleman that assisted me (owner, 4th Gen). That marinara sauce hands down the BEST I've ever had!

I went to Raffetto's to get some arrabiatta sauces. Also picked up some fresh bags of parmesan cheese to sprinkle on my pasta dishes. Andrew Raffetto was speaking with an obvious longtime customer ... all this on a Saturday in the Village.

one of the best sandwiches in nyc! On only fridays and saturdays, they make three types of Italian sandwiches. My favorite is the vegetarian giardino but the other one I tried, the Principessa, is also great

Raffetto's is an authentic Italian specialty shop and carries all foods I am familiar with and love. Established in 1906 and still going strong, I remember my mother shopping here when I was a kid and through the subsequent years. Their Raviolis cannot be beat---price and quality. From Gorgonzola with Walnut and Goat Cheese to Lobster, Roasted Red Pepper and traditional Cheese, you'll find it difficult to make a selection. Or you could do what I did and stock up. Whether it's jumbo sized or the smaller variety, you'll be satisfied. Everything is made on the premises. The jumbo are square in shape and FYI, the Goat Cheese variety is to die for and delicious. Each piece is huge! Not to be excluded, the store also carries: variety of cheese, olive oil, vinegar, canned goods such as Italian Tuna packed in oil as well as sweets including the delicious Torrone (a nougat-like candy). Just to name a few. The store is spacious but not huge, immaculate and run by a friendly staff. Check them out.

We came here for a private party (small ~25 people). Having this in a retail pasta store was a memorable experience. We got a little history lesson on the business, learning that it now 4th generation. They make several variations of homemade pastas, and have a small store that supports your pasta purchase with various goods needs for making your own sauce, or you can purchase the homemade sauces made in-house. I was impressed with all the "goodies" in the store and the reasonable pricing. Prepared foods, fresh dough, many ravioli, and other stuffed pastas, cheeses and the grocery items. A one stop shop. We were there for the "pop-up pasta" experience. (Menu shown in photos) Having the menu items introduced by Sarah and Emily was authentic and entertaining. Each course was delightful. The pop-up experience was a wonderful experience and is a great consideration for any gathering of true Italian pasta. Go check out the retail store and ask about the Petite Pasta Joint.

Wanted pistachio tiramisu but all they had was chocolate noodle pudding. Actually, was fantastic! Grabbed some dry pasta, tortelloni, and walnut genovese sauce. Service and hospitality always excellent.

I ordered spinach fettuccine and cheese ravioli from Farm to People. The freshness and quality was unbelievable. The spinach flavor was delicious and has specks of spinach throughout the dough, actually attractive and yummy. The classic cheese ravioli had a very clean taste so you got a milky freshness from the filling. The dough of both pastas was fantastic.

I surely miss this wonderful Italian specialty store and I wish she would open one uptown! Even Midtown because I no longer live in the area when I was shopping every week at your beautiful place. But, I will be down there once a month at least, to purchase your delicious pasta and other delicacies. Glad you are now excepting credit cards and ATM cards.

If you're looking for fresh homemade deliciousness, this is the place for you! They have a variety of fresh, frozen, and dried pastas and even though the store seems tiny, there are treasures galore every where you look! I came in planning only to buy pasta and ended up heading to the cashier with tons of goodies. They accept both card and cash and their hot sausages are definitely spicy! If you're looking to make your upcoming pasta meal easy, this is also the place for you! They have all of the ingredients to ensure that your Pasta Night is a success including ricotta and bolognese sauce and it's way better than anything you can find in the grocery store and tastes like perfect bolognese sauce!

In our world of look alike, tasteless pasta, there is Raffetto. It would seem taste and texture should not be hard but it appears to be. With Raffestos you are reminded what pasta tastes like, feels right on your fork and tongue.

So delicious and such a great price too!! So authentic, it tastes just like my Italian uncle's cooking (don't tell him). The lasagna is my fave - it's packed with so many layers and the pastas are something else. Unlike any other spot I've had. Also easy to take home and just cook in your oven if you want something to store in the freezer. Staff are all sweet! Will be back.

Like others, we have been coming here for years! Their pasta cut to requested size is delicious and we love their ravioli too! All of the employees are so kind and easy to work with. We often leave with more food than we intended to buy!

This is an amazing spot to purchase homemade pasta and sauces to eat at home! There is a large selection and you cannot go wrong with any style of pasta or sauce. They keep in the freezer but would recommend eating within 2-3 days! it is an affordable, restaurant-style meal to have at home. So easy to put together since all you have to do is boil the pasta and heat up the sauce! I have never had a bad meal here.

I came in to get a box of fresh pasta and send as a gift! I chose the lobster with tomato dough ravioli (around $12), and it help up well through my carry-on on the flight. My friend loved it! The people also helped me with my selection, answered my questions, and in general were very helpful!

This is CASH ONLY but wow. Amazing. Homemade. Cheap. Quick. What's not to like? I'm Sicilian and have grown up on the best homemade pastas and this is place is tops. We got the cheese raviolis, the tomato basil sauce, and the potato gnocchi for a total of $15. That's the price of some mediocre, oily pad Thai down the block! We're talking homemade, fresh, incredible pasta and sauce from a NY institution. The cheese raviolis are delicious, as is their sauce, and we haven't even tried the potato gnocchi yet before I dashed to write this review. Can't wait to try the pumpkin ravioli with sage butter next. 5 stars!!!!

I would weight 300 pounds if I lived near here! They have so much great food! Ravilois, pasta sauce anything that your little Italian heart desires. All excellent and reasonably priced!

OMG!!! Hands down in the top 2 best pastas we've ever had. Was lucky to snag a TGTG bag 12 minutes before the pick up ended. We were an 8 minute walk away and felt the stars were alighted after checking the app on a whim. We hightailed it from Washington square park- such cute dogs at the park. We couldn't resist buying marina sauce at full price to complete our Italian dinner. Wow, bottled marinara from the store can suck it, no comparison. You taste the history, the love, and craftsmanship that comes from generations of making magic in the form of sauce and pasta. Thank you Raffetto's for an incredible culinary journey that we experienced in our own kitchen. Took us right back to our travels in Rome, dreamy.

My friend introduced me to this place when we cooked together - it's incredible! They sell fresh ravioli (so many flavors) at 50 pieces for around $10 usually and it makes for a delicious easy to cook meal I'm not even a huge ravioli or pasta person but I absolutely loved it!! Warning they're cash only. I embarrassingly didn't have any cash and they were so nice - letting me come back and just pay another time. The staff are the best!

Raffetto's is my go-to for all things pasta when I'm in NYC. They have phenomenal pasta in all different shapes and sizes, with a plethora of ravioli flavors to choose from too, at great prices. They also have lots of homemade sauces to choose from and a variety of European ingredients as well (e.g. truffle salt, cheeses, etc.). Bonus: they have the friendliest staff who are happy to point you to the right ingredients if you have a recipe in mind.

I really wanted chicken parm, with fresh spaghetti noodles, so I did a Google search of where to go in the area for good, freshly made pasta. Rafetto's came up in the search, so I checked out the website, as well as their online reviews. They checked all the boxes, so I made my way there. I've actually never went out and bought fresh, scratch-made pasta before, so I ain't gone lie, I was kinda excited! I walked in to see pasta....everywhere! Kinda what I imagine the afterlife to be like. I checked out the menu for pasta that they cut for you onsite. I didn't see spaghetti as an option, so I asked the woman at the counter. She said that they don't cut spaghetti on site, but that they do have some packaged from their manufacturer. She assured me that it was fresh, and that if it's spaghetti I want, that I should definitely use spaghetti noodles, and not another pasta. She was super kind and helpful. I got the packaged spaghetti to cook that night. I had more excitement as I was home, preparing my chicken parm. You can see on the package, that their ingredients are all natural. I added them to my boiling salt water, and cooked them for about 4 minutes. At that point, they were the perfect al dente. I tasted one by itself and man..........so.fresh. so.good. You clearly taste the difference from the boxed pasta. It makes you never wanna go back to it, which I never plan to do. So trust me when I say that when you go here, even if they don't cut the pasta that you want, on site, if they offer it pre-packaged from their manufacturer, you're still in good hands! It WILL be fresh and delicious!

This place is a gem! My boyfriend and I got the fresh truffle ravioli and frozen mini pumpkin ravioli, plus sauce, a ball of fresh mozzarella and a bag of grated Parmesan. The cheeses were excellent and the mushroom pasta was my favorite - you can't beat fresh. I did think the sauce was a little watery but it had good flavor. This place is an institution! Definitely will get that truffle ravioli again. Cash only.

Rafetto's is back open for business during this pandemic for pick up at the shop, or via Mercato. You really can't go wrong with any of the items there (I surely haven't!). I'm a huge fan of their meat lasagna. Their lasagna's are premade, packaged, and refrigerated and you get a huge rectangle for less than $10. For me, that's a meal for two. I typically like to buy a few and freeze them so I can just bake them when I'm craving some comfort food. I also recommend their basil fettuccine (superb flavor) and the jumbo frozen cheese raviolis. *chef's kiss* They are CASH ONLY!

WOW. The friendliest, warmest family owned business with quality pasta and Italian grocery items. The pastas are a standout, as are their sauces...aaaand they carry my favorite lupini beans. Prices are extremely fair. Will be back soon!

Cute store! Huge pasta, ravioli, cheese, olive oil, chocolate, and Italian meats inventory! Love seeing a landmark that is keeping the Italian cuisine alive and authentic. The ladies working the place are so sweet and friendly. What's more is that the prices are beyond reasonable. I got a kale fettuccine pack for $4 and brie for $2. This can certainly be your regular shopping spot if you're into Italian dishes. Can't wait to cook my pasta, and come back to explore their ravioli boxes! Only thing missing was samples!

Review of the storefront. So aside from also being a restaurant, they also sell their homemade pasta, sauces and have a great assortment of cheeses! Raffetto's make one of the freshest and uniquely flavored pasta varieties and ravioli - would definitely recommend stopping in to grab some to try making!! I purchased two large bags so that I could make some fancy dinner for my friends one night - and we were so happy!!! I purchased the tri-color pasta, made it al-dente based on their recommendation but they also provided a super helpful little instructions paper so that I knew how to store it back home and to cook! The staff is extremely friendly and even though I love to cook, most folks are able to easily understand and follow along! Would definitely recommend stopping in, the folks are so nice and they really help you pick the right pasta and sauces for what ever you are trying to make!

I've been here at least once a month during Covid, even though I have moved out of the city. FRESH, AMAZING PASTA (freshly cut or already boxed)! Cheap foodie experience. There are also tons of others items that are my go to: clam sauce, Bolognese sauce, cheeses (mozzarella, Parmesan, Romano), olive oils..... Just go! Thank me later!

I thought I knew ravioli, but Raffetto's large round spinach ravioli blows all others out of the water. It's so savory and delicious that it doesn't even need any sauce--I ended up eating mine plain (I know, I'm a barbarian). This place is a gem with its homemade pastas, sauces, sausages, and cheeses and has been around for over 100 years! Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and seem to know all their regulars. Now that I've finally tried it, I hope to become one of those regulars! Gonna come here for my fresh pasta/ravioli/sausage/fresh mozzarella fix from now on!

This is an excellent place for pastas and sauces- I like the pumpkin ravioli, truffle ravioli, beet goat cheese ravioli and the Gorgonzola walnut ravioli- I usually get pesto or walnut sauce - supporting family owned institutions is so important at this point in time. The staff is friendly and helpful!!

I'm best friends with Derek Raffetto, the son of the owner. I have zero bias when I write this review: their ravioli is LEGENDARY. Spinach and cheese is my favorite. Lobster is a close second.

An NYC institution! The best place to buy pasta and/pr take a pasta making class. They have everything and more here. You really feel like you're in an Italian shop. So authentic. And they have the coolest story. You should ask them about their history in New York!

I've been coming to Raffetto's for fresh pasta, sauce, meatballs and all good homemade Italian ingredients. This one of the oldest and best shops in the West Village. You must know that you have to pay cash and the sweet ladies will give you suggestions if you ask. I just love coming here and indulge on good homemade Italian that I can pretend that I cooked from scratch! Cheerio!

I absolutely treasure Raffetto's -- amazing fresh pasta cut to order. There are so many flavors: spinach, squid ink, mushroom, lemon red pepper, just to name a few. The fresh pasta starts at $3.25 per pound. The cooking times for the various types of pasta are clearly posted, and the staff will gladly answer your questions about what sauces pair with the pasta flavors that you have selected. Also, if you tell them how many people are coming for dinner, they will tell you how much fresh pasta to order. The prices on cheeses and sausages are excellent. Although the store is small, you can usually find the Italian ingredients that you need, such as 00 flour, olive oil and Arborio rice. Raffetto's also sells several house-brand sauces, ravioli and prepared food. The staff is as nice as can be. Cash only, closed Mondays. If you go in July, make sure to call ahead because they close for vacation for about a week.

While not following my better judgement I visited here today. I came because yes they have fresh products and the prices are reasonable. Then while there I remembered why I told myself never to go back there again. I am a person of color and they make sure you are aware of this by their attitudes and customer service. The little guy at the cash register is as probably as old as my granddaughter, and is rude as hell. The (2) woman there are no better. I worked as a public servant for the City of New York for 26yrs so I have seen my share of rude and disrespectful people. But when you are patronizing a place while many other shops are closing because of the pandemic you would expect a level of appreciation but not here. I am an essential worker and have been helping people of this city since this pandemic started in 2019. I am angry but more so hurt by the actions of the staff. I wish them all the best and many more successful years in business but I will be taking my business elsewhere. C.M.

Raffetto's is my favorite new place in the neighborhood. Can't believe it took me this long to "discover it" -- I always assumed it was one of those mythical hundred-year-old places in the Village that are more of a relic of its former mom-and-pop glory. Lo and hebold, Raffetto's is about as humble and straight-forward as they come--totally al dente. On my very first visit, I grabbed a loaf of whole wheat Italiab bread ($2!), a hunk of drunken goat cheese ($6!) and a generous cut of homemade meat lasagne ($7!) that we broke into 2 meals. Fantastic values abound--don't question it, just pile on your pastas, cheeses, sausage, ravioli, and every other Italian foodstuff your little heart might desire. The charming lady behind the counter, who could easily have come from almost any decade from the past 150 years, completed this total winner of a neighborhood Italian grocery. I refuse to call it artisanal--it's honest and normal, that's it. Here's to another 100 years. PS: Cash only. So bring some paper.

The absolute best fresh pasta in New York, no contest. Shout out to their jumbo ravioli, so rich in taste and with such genuine ingredients. Warning: don't go short in cash, it's cash only and I guarantee you'll want to buy the entire store if you're an Italian food lover.

The Quick: Tiny little Italian deli/grocer with that authentic "off the boat" taste at an incredible reasonable price (cash only). The Details: Think of the kind of deli shop your Nonna would run if she sold her handmade pasta and pesto made with love. Okay, maybe that's just me, but think little gnocchi and ravioli hand crafted to perfection with amazing fresh ingredients. They sell amazing meats, cheese, pastas, sauce, bread... Basically every type of Italian goodie you could want at an incredibly reasonable price (half the price of Murray's or Fiacco's). Really great spot. Please note it's cash only, they are closed Sunday's (like any authentic Italian family owned shop) and close early during the week. The Damage: The amount of food you can get for $10 is incredible.
