I have always wanted to go to Raffles Hotel. Luckily it has just been renovated & looks stunning. The gift shop is quite large with quite a variety of gifts. I chose tea towels, aprons, ovens mits & a tea spoon which would fit easily into my case. These were presents mostly for people who cant or wont travel. At the far end of the shop it gives you the history & development of the hotel. Staff are extra courteous & very obliging. I didnt think the prices were too exxy given the prestige of the hotel. Highlight for me was High Tea & a wander about the gardens which have a tropical feel. Definitely an experience not to be missed. A Maharajah even greets you at the front door. Quite strick security for safety. Harpist playing in the next room added to the ambience.
