Raffl’s St. Antoner Hof | Best luxury ski hotels in Europe

"The oldest of St. Anton’s 5-star chalets, this is a luxury, boutique hotel a couple of minutes’ walk from the centre, run by the Raffl family with scrupulous attention to detail. Service epitomises Tirolean tradition and hospitality, combining charm with discreet formality. No two rooms are the same, but all are stylishly presented – mischievously combining rustic Austrian features with bright contemporary furnishings and arty accessories, sometimes including cacti. The location is superb; just out of the busy main centre but only a couple of minutes’ walk from the action. The hotel has its own ski depot beside the main Galzig gondola – store skis and boots here for free and head straight to the après-ski. " - Nicola Iseard

We stayed at the hotel over half term with 4 adults and 3 young children. Hotel is tastefully decorated in a rustic Austrian way and there is a warm welcome from all the staff as soon as you arrive. Lots of thought has gone into making it feel homely with nice touches like a popcorn machine, a table with sweets and also one with snacks/fruit to enjoy after a day of skiing. We all loved our stay there :)

The lady at reception was so rude and dismissive of us. We went in to kindly inform them that the city parking app shows that their parking is parking you can pay for. We saw the sign that said it was private parking so we moved immediately but when we were walking by the hotel I decided to simply let them know in case it causes any problem in the future. So so unnecessarily rude. Hopefully after this review you all can contact the city and inform them of the issue.

We had an amazing 5 night trip here in this hotel. We had a great experience pre-trip and for our entire stay! The staff are so helpful and friendly, the food amazing, the hotel spotlessly clean - the service and room was perfect! We just really enjoyed the cosy fire, it was like sitting in your own sitting room it was that relaxed and we were made feel right at home.|Great location also, only a few steps from the Main Street , lots of bars and restaurants. The shuttle is always there for your trips. |We will definitely be back, thanks to all at Antonerhof for making our trip so memorable!|xxx

Lovely hotel, pretty spacious, with nice spa facilities. Breakfast buffet is well served, lots of choices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I went with friends on a skiing trip. Hotel provided shuttle service to the main ski gondola. Over all a nice enough hotel :). I’d stay there again.

This is a very comfortable hotel with quirky interior, incredible food and lovely staff. We spent a week there for a ski holiday. It was the end of the season so we were nearly the only guests in the hotel which was a bit weird, but the staff made us feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Especially Patrizia who was amazing. We were on half board - food is delicious - but we did tire of 5 courses every night and dining in the same place. Breakfast was great - buffet options plus cooked items on request. We opted for fondu one night which was delicious - had a slightly modern twist with curly chips, grapes and broccoli. The hotel has a rustic feel with hand painted interior touches. Its a 5 min walk to the ski lifts but there was always someone to drive us there if we wanted. We left our skis and boots at Jennewein Sports shop in their ski lockers, directly opposite the lifts. Cocktails were also excellent - we enjoyed Negronis by the fire after an afternoon' skiing. It would be nice to have a coffee machine and a sofa to sit on back in the room.

The RaffI's St Antoner Hof was an amazing experience! From the moment you walk in the electric lounge area you are greeted with an incredible polite and well trained staff, and wow the food! The rooms are nearly perfect, they even left furry slippers in our rooms! With real wood fireplaces and all the comforts one could ask for. Did I mention the staff? They feel like family and in fact many of them are. These people really care and it shows. It is must and we will be back again! Karl & Alicia

Our stay at Raffl's Antoner Hof was just fantastic. The room was so traditional and just what we were looking for in a ski resort, but with a lovely 'hippy' twist to it. The fact it has been run by the same family through generations shines through here and the owners were there every day with a warm greeting and happy to help us with anything we asked for. The bar and restaurant team were the best we have ever met - going beyond the extra mile to make us feel at home and relaxed after a great days skiing. We stayed for one week with half board and the food was excellent in terms of quality and diversity each day. There is nothing negative to say about our stay at all and we hope to be back there with the Raffl's family again as soon as possible! Thank you all. Nicky & Pete

Just got back from a week at the Antoner Hof and had the most amazing time. The staff were all so incredibly friendly and welcoming - couldn’t do enough for us and treated us like royalty all week. They were particularly kind and patient with my 10 year old autistic son, which is so much appreciated. On top, the food was fantastic with an extensive wine list to match. The rooms were quirky and spacious. We will definitely return!
