My aunt, daughter, and I popped into this place for lunch on our way home. The food was delicious with a good portion size. My daughter and I shared the chicken and beef combo plate and still had quite a bit to take home with us. Food has really good flavor and the owner was so nice. I’m definitely saving this place for the next time I’m driving through the area.

Fantastic kabob place! The meat was perfectly tender and flavorful, and the fresh ingredients made every bite delicious. Excellent service and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!

It’s a small place, but their hearts are big, the guys very polite, the food it’s really good. What are you in the mood for, there is pizza too!

Amazing food, I get the Soltani nearly every other day. I have had a lot of armenian/persian food in LA and this is one of my favorite spots can not recommend it enough. I am very lucky to have this place be walking distance from my office.

Best pizza I’ve ever tried , very fast delivery and the food was amazing . It’s under new management and I can tell it’s 100% better than before . Try the kabob for sure

I ordered dinner for my family from Rafo's Cafe last week because we wanted to try a different spot for Middle Eastern food. I ordered for takeout through their website, and I was concerned because it was around 7:10pm and they close at 8pm. Luckily, I was able to place an order and select a pickup time within half an hour. I chose the Chicken Lule Kabob Plate and Beef Lule Kabob Plate. Both plates came with two dense skewers of meat. I thought the beef lule was juicier and more flavorful than the chicken lule. Both plates had fluffy white basmati rice; they put so much rice that it made the takeout trays quite heavy. For one of the plates, I selected sides of hummus and yogurt spinach, which was my fave side from the whole meal as it was tangy and paired well with the chicken and beef lule. The hummus was alright and similar to what I've tried at other restaurants. On the other plate, I selected sides of shirazi salad and tomato & green pepper, which added some freshness to the meal, but overall, they were just fine. Also, each plate came with a piece of pita bread, which tasted better when warmed up. As for ambiance and service, I can't write much since I had a family member go pick-up the food. However, they reported that it was easy to find parking in the small plaza and received the food on-time. For the price, I think you get quite a lot of food if you order the plates. Two plates fed my family of 4 people. The online ordering system was convenient, too! I'm glad that I gave Rafo's Cafe a try, and maybe I'll visit in the future when I've exhausted my usual places.

Hands down one of the best Mediterranean spots. Quality and taste of the proteins is superb. The rest of the food is delicious too but the proteins are amazing.

great pizzeria for pick up or casualty dining, they also serve kabob, salad and sandwich. i really love there persian pizza.

Came to this spot for lunch a few weeks ago between appointments. It was a good decision. He was friendly the place was small but very nice. The guy there asked if my husband and I wanted a side plate or we wanted he can split the plate for us. I was very surprised not a lot of places i've been to offer that I appreciated that. Everything tasted very good, meat was juicy. Next time I'm in the area I would like to try their pizzas.

So me and my wife were in the area and were craving some kind of Mediterranean Food and we found this place. Menu looked interesting (they have pizza,sandwiches and Mediterranean Food) The pictures looked good so we decided to pull up and give it a try. Very Polite as we entered and it smelled so good. FYI the food was great and we will definitely be back

My 10-year old says they have the best pizza. The pepperoni kinda reminds me of the Pizza Factory (kinda). The Margherita pizza is still my fave.

First time trying this place and I am impressed. Ordered the beef soltani at $25. Big serving, good for 2 meals, and I ate as much as I could. Beef kebab tasted real good, with flavor and saltiness. Koobideh was equally well seasoned. No ambiance, it is what it is. Lots of banging noises while I ate. No fountain drink. But the food is worth it and I'd like to eat there again.

New owners even better and tastier. Amazing customer service and care. Love the food. Their pizzas are the bomb. Please try this place and enjoy every bite.

The food is amazing every single time. The people are kind and the service is quick! I usually hate tomatos but started ordering a larger version of their garden salad after trying it as a side in the kebab plate cause it was so good. Really recommend to anyone looking for kebabs :)

This place is so good I hate to tell my secret. They always give me extra pita and their always always very nice. The chicken is cooked well and is fresh, but I wish they had the garlic spread.

Its good, but it used to be great. There was a change in ownership and it not longer has quite the same magic it once had for us.

Overcharged me 2 cans of diet coke for the one I wanted. Shady and unfair. Why go back to someone who cheats you?

Decided to try this spot during my lunch break this week. They have super friendly and helpful staff. The chefs seemed super experienced as the food tasted great! The beef kabob plate was delicious, and the makhloot pizza was to die for. Definitely would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

I love it here. A regular 2 times a week, great start and wonderful manager. I'm picky with my Persian / Armenian food and this place is a hit for me. Well priced and great portions.

rafo's cafe is under new persian management, and they have managed -- rather unbelievably -- to craft an even tastier armenian pizza, which i did not think was even possible. all of your mediterranean favourite staples are here, their doner pizza is a classic, management is friendly and outgoing, the dining area has been completely redone, and the service is terrific.

They use ground meat for the kabobs that hasn't the real taste of the chicken or beef. Plus they lie saying under new management but actually it's the same, don't go there

Haven't had this good of a pizza in a while! If you're tired of the regular old pepperoni pizza, and you want to try something a little more adventurous, I recommend this Doner pizza! Meat, cheese, red onions, with tzatziki on the side...you just can't go wrong here. I greatly enjoyed the smokey flavors of this pie. The Margarita pizza was a safe pick on our part, a good pizza still, but underwhelming when paired with the Doner. More of a palate cleanser, if you will. The workers here were super welcoming and made sure that we were enjoying our food. Just for their friendly demeanor, I want to visit this spot again. The inside of the store is not too big and there are few spots to sit, so I'd recommend ordering to go if you don't feel comfortable dining in more intimate spaces like this.

My son loves the small cheese pizza. I'd prefer to come here & support my local restaurant. Close to home. It's a win/win situation. Plus my 10 year old son rates the pizza 10/10. That's a big rating!

Tried Rafo's Cafe several months ago. Nice and cozy place. The service is great, the food is amazing and fills you up.

My niece who lives in Venice wanted to come out and take me to dinner here in Burbank. She decided on Rafo's Cafe, which is in the same Shopping Plaza as my Jeweler. I had remembered this restaurant from some time ago, but I had never gone in to eat. I think these are new owners. The gentleman that greeted us was very gracious and professional. He suggested some delicious items. We were quite pleased with his suggestions. The food was hot and delicious. We will definetly be returning.

My workplace placed a large order for lunch this week, and although there were a lot of items, the whole thing came in quickly and correct-to-order, including extra sauces. Very impressive. Oh wow great meat! The BEST Donner kebab sandwich I have ever had. Thick slices of tender seasoned meat, fresh tomatoes, and these incredible pickles. Great job. Large portions, tasty hummus, friendly service. I will definitely be back!. Just yummy!

Newly remodeled and under new ownership. Tried it for the first time, excellent customer service, friendly. Took the time to explain some of the dishes , easy to order and tasted amazing. The ambience was nice, great place to have a family meal. Tried the chicken kabob and the meat kabob, was so tasty and exceptional. They also have specialty pizza menu which I must try next time.

First time to try their pizza and it was delish. The salmon combo and chicken combo were good as well.

I barely give 5Star For me one of the most important reasons to keep going to a place apart from their food is the way the way their hospitality is , So glad to find this place , we were passing by and saw the sign of Pizz-kebab n we were like... waaaaht ? let's go check out , how it is? But well , then we understand they don't actually have the pizza kebab. It's separate pizza from kebab , but guess what? They might not have it inside the menu but the cook said if you want they will make it for u as special order, these guys were super kind and caring. I definitely recommend this palace good food

The place doesn't seem like much. It feels just like a city restaurant with its narrow interior and not much decor. But the highlight was the great Middle-Eastern style food. I expected shawarma and kabobs, but the pizza caught me off guard. There was a huge variety of pizzas, so I had to try a slice and a plate. Both were fantastic. Pizza was not too oily and the kabob plate alone can fill you up. The service was amazing. They welcomed us, gave us as much time as we needed with no pressure on deciding, and was very polite.

I was in the area and craved beef lule out of nowhere. This place popped up and I am so grateful! The chicken and beef lule combo hit the spot! Ara is very kind and welcoming at the front. There is a smoke shop next door and I unexpectedly bought a new hookah to complement the dinner experience. Magical night! Thank you Rafo's!

After one trip I can easily say this is my favorite middle-eastern place in the Burbank area - much better than Sotta or any of the others and I've tried a lot of them. Their chicken kebab is amazing and comes with a huge serving of delicious rice and salad with a lemon ranch dressing that I want to put on everything. Hummus was good too but the salad dressing was just so good. The chicken was the real star of the show though - in my opinion it was cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommend

Rafo's Cafe is hit or miss . On my first visit, I had one of the best chicken shish Kabob plates. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and very flavorful.The next visit, I ordered the beef shish kabob and it was very underwhelming and chewy . It might have been an off day. I'll probably just stick with the chicken shish. The portions are generous and the rice and pita bread were both solid tasting sides.The interior is a little dated and rundown, but the tables were clean. The service has always been friendly and the takeout orders are packed nicely. They also have pizza on the menu, but haven't tried it, yet. This place is worth a try, if in the area. The prices are good for the amount of food and It's usually easy to find a parking space.

Found this little gem of a restaurant on a night I was craving some pizza. Tucked away in the city of Burbank is a nice little Persian/ Iranian restaurant where all the dishes are made to order. Oddly, this place has the best mexican pizza(pepperoni, onion, jalapeños, onion, sausage). Something about their crust just doesn't compare to some other pizza parlors. Kabob plates are good too. I love that the rice is not mushy but a nice fluffy texture. Restaurant owner/ employees are friendly as well regardless of your race you will feel welcomed.

The food is absolutely amazing and full of flavor. The customer service is amazing too. Makes you feel like you're in the heart of Iran. Give this place a try you will not regret it!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this tiny place! The first thing that stood out to me was the service. The man who works the front/cash register was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the #1 chicken kabob plate - price was fair (came out to around $11 w tip) and it was great! Comes with 6 juicy pieces of chicken on top of basmati rice, with a side of salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, pita bread, hummus. Flavors were on point, and large enough to save for leftovers. Small place so a lot of people order take out, but we ate there since there are about 5 tables inside. It's in a plaza so parking is easy! I want to come back and try the pizza!

My new pizza place! Was only going to order their chicken breast plate but saw so many rave reviews on their pizza so I had to order both. **no shame in my game** I enjoyed the pizza so much more than the chicken breast plate #5 because the chicken was on the dryer side. Rice was good. Half a pita and a small size of hummus(small sauce container size) with some yummy salad dressing. The pizza on the other hand was super flavorful. Not overly greasy or cheesy. Just delicious . I can't wait to order pizza from here again.

Its more of a take out place but you can eat there. I got the chicken kabob plate. It comes with salad hummus,rice & pita bread. The best place I've been in Burbank. My husband got the donor plate witch is lamb/veal. He loved it. The food is hot and the people that work there are very nice.

Always my favorite place to order from. Just a large selection of food and quality and quantity is on point. Ordered a bunch of pizzas recently for a party and they arrive hot and delicious. You can't go wrong from kabob to salads and pizza.

A friend told me to try them out and so i did . I live very close so that also made me wanna stop by . Absolutely amazing food , and it's consistent. My family and I stop by multiple times a week . The customer service is stellar as well , they know you by name so makes it feel homey . I always get the chicken kabob plate , barley give 5 stars but they deserve it .

Disgusting lule kebab..not cooked at all..not happy at all....I called back and the guy just said: oh I am sorry... He didn't even bother to offer me a refund..social security staff will never order from this place..if u guys had paid more attention on the quality of the food you serve, you wouldn't have this horrible review on yelp..I wish I could give Negative 5 stars but there is no such option.

I really wish this place had good food but every time I come here I'm disappointed. I live close by so I keep giving them a chance. They always have 10 guys just sitting inside doing nothing and they still can't make a decent plate of food. Please guys start caring more and try and make your food taste better.
