Rafre Fruit in Seoul is a cozy spot known for its vibrant bingsu creations and stunning fruit cakes, though hints of a long wait and mixed reviews linger.

Another overrated spot in my opinion.
We came 20minutes before their opening time and there’s already a line.
I can only say the taste of the food did not live up to the hype/our expectations. The peaches are not sweet at all. We had better peach bingsu at our hotel lounge.
I’m impressed with how flawless their cake slices tho.

4 stars because the wait. We waited for 40 minutes but the fig cake was great and peach soda drink were refreshing! Restaurant was small but had a relaxing moment there after a long walk day.

•Apple mango bingsu ₩49,900 (⭐️8/10)
Rafre offers various seasonal fruit from time to time, tbt june, they have apple mango🥭!! The bingsu surrounded by the showstopper: luscious juicy apple mango chunks.
•Fruit mix cake ₩15,900 (⭐️8.5/10)
Please take a sec to admire how beautiful this cake is!! Fluffy light sponge cake layered with apple mango and kiwi, sweet refreshing and satisfying. Personally reckon this cake tasted more surprising than the bingsu.

It’s a small space so it’s hard to fit a bigger group, but I thoroughly enjoyed my fig bingsoo. It was very tasty although quite expensive at around 29,000 won. Plus a lot of things were sold out.

HOW TO GET IN: Go to the machine next to the door, change the language to English, scan the QR code, and enter the waitlist via entering your email. Sign-up for indoor tables because there's a lot more indoor tables. Alternatively you can join the waitlist online apparently. When it's your turn, go to the cashier inside, tell them your waitlist number, place your order, and then sit down.
WAIT: We arrived at 4:15pm at 65th in line, and finally were seated at 7:30pm - a 3 hour and 15 minute wait. There's plenty to see and do nearby - ended up seeing the nearby deer corral, eating pastries at Notre Don, having dinner at Paraná, and getting caricatures done all with plenty of time to spare.
FOOD: We paid 49,900 won for the apple mango bingsu. It came with a spoonful of red bean and condensed milk on the side, as well as 3 pieces of mango on a separate plate for some reason. While the mango was sweet, it did taste a bit overripe (slightly bitter). The bingsu itself was dense and not fluffy. Sadly I've had much higher quality bingsu in the West at less than 1/5 of the cost and a 0 minute wait....
AMBIENCE: The decor is....fine. Cute fresh fruit on display, but nothing special - especially considering the endless amounts of cuter cafes nearby. The bathroom floor was filthy and covered in wet brown marks. The AC is blasting which makes it awkward to eat cold desserts.
SERVICE: Sufficient and straightforward - no frills, blunt, but to the point. The workers seem overworked and the kitchen space seems crowded.
OVERALL: I decided to write this review as a PSA that this place is not worth the hype at all - not worth the time or money. The other reviews are glowing towards the food but I strongly disagree. Please go elsewhere if you're planning to order the bingsu!

The drink was alright, but the experience was very disappointing. I was cafe hopping so I had already decided what I wanted to order. When I ordered the strawberry cake, they said I need to order a drink as well coz it's their policy. I was already full so I changed my order to the strawberry shake. Absolutely no one benefited from the policy. I didn't get to try what I wanted and the drink was cheaper than the cake. Silly policy that made them lose business. The outdoor had decent view. But I wouldn't queue up to get a seat like others had. Not worth it in my opinion.

Bad experience 😵💫
I went at 5:45pm and waited over an hour. 7:30pm last order and closed at 8pm. Recommend choose indoor than outdoor seat (few seat available=longer waiting time).
Lucky to get in at 7:28pm and dessert arrived at 7:45pm, only 15min to finish strawberry cake and bingsu, quite disappointed for the taste😟😟😟no special, normal, not worth to wait such long.

The waiting time is quite long. You need to apply for a queue through an app, we then proceeded to wait for over an hour. I kept refreshing the app every few minutes, because it doesn’t give you any notice. As soon as I saw we were able to come, we came immediately (we were there in 4min) apparently if you don’t come within 5 minutes your table is gone. We came on time, but apparently the app doesn’t work right, so they gave away our table. Eventually after arguing a little bit, they did gave us a table and we didn’t need to go in the queue again. So for that I am happy they came with a solution.
The desserts, are really good, so I am happy to have come here. But I am not sure if I would go through all the trouble again.
