The 15 Best Restaurants in Missoula, Home of the University of Montana | Eater

"Originally from Iraq, Ammar Omar and his family opened Ragheef and Kamoon food trucks in 2021 to serve the flavors of Arabia in Missoula. In addition to the trucks, they now have a small restaurant, which goes by the same two names at different hours. During the day, Ragheef serves manakeesh, flatbreads with a variety of toppings including meat, cheese, vegetables, cooked tomatoes, and piquant sauces and spices like pomegranate molasses and za’atar. Try the labneh and falafel man’oushe, one of Ragheef’s most popular items, or go sweeter with the cheese and honey flatbread. At dinnertime, Ragheef gives way to Kamoon, serving dishes like shawarma, kebabs, and baba ghanoush. Visit the restaurant space, open fall through spring, and find the food trucks at the Clark Fork Market and at community events in the summer." - Lotus Porte-Moyel

Super fresh food here! The bread is made right in front of you, and it tastes amazing. We tried the beef manakeesh, which was huge and absolutely delicious. The flavors were on point, and we were super satisfied. One heads-up: not everything is halal, just the manakeesh. But the staff was great and let us know what was what. They were super friendly and made us feel welcome. The ambiance was cozy and warm, perfect for a relaxed meal. The place was clean and well-kept, adding to the good vibes. We loved the food and just wished more of it was halal so we could try more dishes. Ragheef is definitely a spot to check out for tasty, authentic Arabic flatbreads. Highly recommend!

Google
AMAZING !! Great for even a snack or a full on meal of delicious fresh Mediterranean food. Free tea and lemon water in the dining area and the best babaganoush I've ever had!!! I haven't been to missoula in 2 years and this was one of the only things I wanted.

If you haven’t tried Ragheef Arabic Flatbreads & More yet, you’re seriously missing out! My wife and I stopped by, and we were blown away. I got the chicken kebab wrap, she got the beef kebab wrap, and both were insanely good. The flatbread was soft and fresh, the meat was packed with flavor, and every bite was perfect. The place has a great vibe, and the staff is super friendly. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy your meal, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Stopped here for lunch right when they opened on a Tuesday. There's a reason they have a complete 5 star rating, this place is amazing. Locally owned, food was delicious and prepared quickly, and we definitely did not leave hungry. Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Delicious! The best hummus and Pita bread I ever had. The Cardamom tea is so relaxing and good. This place does not disappoint!

Google
I have not eaten here, so I am not reviewing the food or service. I drive by it every day, and the hours it is open are limited and seemingly random. Also, I have walked in twice to try to order, and the menu is incomprehensible to someone not familiar with Middle Eastern food. I don't understand the difference between the two restaurants. I didn't see descriptions of most of the items on the menu, and I had no idea what to order, so both times, I just left. I would like to try this food; I just can't figure out when and how to do so.

Door dashed this to work and it was outstanding! The falafel and rice were so flavorful and delicious. The beef samosa was phenomenal with an interesting flavor palate and the baklava was super yummy too! 10/10

Yelp
We've been road-tripping from Texas through Canada and back--and out of every place we've eaten along the way, this spot in Missoula has been hands-down the best food we've had! Honestly, I didn't even think I liked Middle Eastern food that much before this... but WOW. I was blown away. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and just full of heart. You can tell they care about what they're serving. If you're anywhere near Missoula, make this a stop. You won't regret it. I'm already wishing we had something this good back home in Texas!

Yelp
The food here is amazing! Come hungry as the portions are large. Best falafel I've had in the US. Lots to enjoy on the menu

Yelp
Super authentic Lebanese and Middle Eastern food. It's not a fancy place, it's more of a mom and pop style place with a few tables inside. Definitely not fancy! An absolute hidden gem, though. The serving staff is super sweet!

Yelp
Wonderful spot! We stopped by today for lunch. Split the beef flatbread with veggies on the side with my husband and it was an ideal lunch. The bread is crispy, the toppings are fresh and flavorful, and the portion was perfect for the two of us to share for a light lunch. The complimentary hot tea is delicious. Friendly and efficient staff is a great bonus. Definitely recommend!!

Yelp
Amazing food!! Ragheef is in my top 3 places for take-out in Missoula!! Sadly it's across town from where I live so I don't get to eat there all that often but if you are looking for authentic Arabic food in Missoula this is it!! Fantastic!! A+++

Yelp
My husband, child, and friend stopped in here for dinner tonight and it was absolutely wonderful. Large portions, reasonable prices--their hummus is the smoothest, least gritty hummus I've ever eaten in my life. We could see them preparing the food in the back and that was neat. My daughter especially liked watching them shave the gyro meat! It was all very tasty. My friend is a vegetarian and had the falafel wrap, and while she can be very picky, she LOVED the falafel and said it was some of the best she's had. Me and my husband both had the beef kebabs which came with the previously mentioned hummus, a basic salad, and golden rice. I would go back for the rice on its own. My daughter enjoyed the beef wrap and her fries, and is already begging to go back. Her disappointment when I reminded her that we live two hours away was boundless. I can't blame her, I wish we lived closer too. Also, if they have the fried rosewater cream filled pancakes? Absolutely get them. They're worth it.
