"Run by the owners of nearby Train Wreck Bar & Grill in Burlington, this family-friendly stop serves classy pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven. A solid selection of beers and ciders, in addition to $8-dollar growler fills, makes this pub extra appealing. Open for takeout and limited indoor dining." - Matthew Lombardi, Maggy Lehmicke

The pizza isn’t DiGiorno, it’s worse! Little to no o cheese, the thinnest crust possible, no flavor. Just a few raw topping on paper thin crust. Salad was very over dressed, soaking in dressing. It feels like they didn’t try. Service and atmosphere were delightful!

I admit i am picky about my pizza. I like a good balance between 1) crust, 2) cheese/toppings, and 3) sauce (which is marinara or nothing for me). This is my first visit here and sadly the pizza was a "swing and a miss". Crust was so SO thin in the entire middle that is was like a wet napkin ... while the crust was great...nice and crispy and robust. So, a weird mix. I lift the crust and the whole rest of the slice is immediately hangs straight down as half of the very abundant meat toppings drop off. So it took two hands to kinda guide the slice to my pie hole. 😆 Cheese-wise... pretty light, as in i had to look closely just now. Light on the sauce. Huge amounts of meat on the Trainwreck pizza i ordered. Which can be good but alas there was almost no crust so it felt like i was eating a meat dish served on dough doily. And am literally going home and finding some more carbs to eat. Its all good...now i know...im skipping the pizza when i am here. Again, this is a personal review of mostly my pizza preference. So if yer like me, then this will give you a heads up. Beyond pizza... very good beer list. Cool atmosphere. Nice staff.

Google
An amazing place to go to... I celebrated my bday there in March and it was so much fun! They have amazing beers and the staff is so cooperative and fun!

Google
We stopped in as a group and we were seated right away. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was amazing! Half of us had the tortas and half had pizzas. Great beer and cider selections on tap. We'll definitely come back to try other stuff. The building is charming with it's big bay windows, which are able to be opened. The atmosphere was great, we really enjoyed dining here.

I ordered pickup and carryout, was only inside for a couple minutes but it looked like a nice place to hang out. The cashier was friendly and prompt. The pizzas were delicious, light flaky bubbly, New York style crust, sauce, cheese, toppings all very good, a bit expensive for carryout, but very very good.

Google
The food is great, service is great, and the beer is great. But the menu options are way too limited and basic. No nachos, no fries, no mozzarella sticks and not even a quesadilla, not enough of a variety for a pub. And by the pics I shared, the pizza crust is absolutely pathetic and a rip off. Paper thin and will only hold some weight at times even held in the traditional 'V' hold. $18 for a pizza that probably has as much volume as a small from any other pizza maker. Don't get me wrong, the food is fantastic, but needs a massive discount or increase in volume and a bigger variety of menu options.

Google
Burlington and pizza? Who knew? Ok guys, Railroad Pub & Pizza sister location to Train Wreck Bar and Grille. If you're visiting, passing through or just moved here, this is a must to come visit and indulge in the fine craft beers and delicious food menu they have to offer. The ambiance is family friendly and for beer lovers who enjoy the taste and the craft of beer. They have a blend of craft beers ranging from thick and sweet to light and fruity and the servers are genuinely friendly and they hustle! It shows, so tip well because they love to be where they are and the pizza tastes like it just came out of an oven from Naples! I definitely found my local pizza joint!💙

Google
We also have the fire roasted shrimp amazing I'm usually not a fan, of wood fire pizzas but this is really good. Hubby really enjoyed the salad I'm recovering from a cold I couldn't really taste the ginger in the salad dressing hubby said it was really good.

Yelp
Great pizza, beverage selection, fun arcade games to keep the kids entertained. Service was on point!

Sunny H.

Yelp
Food was delish. Service was on the slow side (took awhile for menus then the server to even show up) but once it got started, was all good and friendly. We ordered 4 pizzas (individual sized in our opinion), cranberry cashew salad (yum) and caprese. Everything tasted great and our girls ended the meal with a brownie a la mode. Trains were too loud when passing by but hence, Railroad pizza. Would definitely return next time we are in Burlington.

Yelp
Impressed! Salad, pizza, couple beers, and attentive friendly service. Fresh ingredients, tasted great. What's not to like. I'll be back.

Viola P.

Yelp
We stopped here after visiting one of the tulip farms and everything was so delicious. Waitstaff were really nice and food came out fast. I loved that they had a little arcade room with a few games too.

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Passing through town and wanted to try out a local spot. Great beer, food and service! Family friendly. Highly recommend. Will stop again next time we're in the area!

Yelp
Seeing all these great reviews and pictures is really disappointing. Our pizzas did not look like that. They were somehow burned and wet. I wish I took a picture but I didn't. Why would I take a picture of something gross? I should have for this review tho. Look you could tell the dough was probably really good if you didn't get a pizza from the fires of hell. However I'm still thinking about how gross these pizzas are days later! The red sauce tasted like tin. Like hey I got some tomatoes from a can decided to blend it up with maybe a spice or two and say marinara! No depth at all to the sauce. Bland flavorless. Wet like nothing to bind it together. Hardly any toppings on the pizza. Before you say now hey maybe you just like crappy pizzas like dominos. No those are "fast food" style pizzas to me. I'm familiar with good fresh pizza and this is not it. Please try Pacionis in mount Vernon or Arbia pizza in Anacortes. The ambiance is fine it's probably what makes this place somehow popular with the crazy expensive food that's burned and flavorless. Service was okay. She was super nice but didn't check up on us. I'm kinda wondering if she knew our pizzas were burned so she was apprehensive about coming back. I would have asked about the pizza and if that was normal however looking around everyone's pizza looked burned and everyone was kinda looking at each other across the room with the same questions in their face. So maybe it was a bad day or a new cook. It was a Monday If that helps? I did hear someone speak up on our way out. I didn't hear the servers response but at least someone knew about it.

Yelp
I would have to say that this is some of the BEST service I've experienced anywhere. Great atmosphere, comfortable seating, fantastic music. Secondly, their pizza is perfection. Thin, soft crust cooked to excellence with just the right amount of toppings. We also tried the chop salad which was very good. Homemade ranch was delicious as well as the marinara and bread. Also the Diet Pepsi mix was spot on as well. All in all, I have zero criticisms. A wonderful meal in a great location with awesome staff. Thank you!!!!

Yelp
Came here for date night this evening, and the place has a lovely atmosphere. They have open garage doors and nice tables with lots of wood walls, so that was really cool. I had the pepperoni pizza which was yummy, the toppings were fine, but the crust, the crust is where it's at, it's chewy, super thin, a little floppy, in a good way, and poofy around the edge, nom! The sauce was good too, though I though it all needed some more salt, I also think that could have been me, I love some salt. Service was good, very easy going and prompt.

Brent C.

Yelp
We really enjoyed pizza dinner with kids and friends. Service was Ok - they were busy. Food was very good. Ambiance was casual and perfect for casual evening with kids.

Joseph M.

Yelp
Fair little pizza place. The dough is the star of their za, and while the toppings are good, they don't stand up to the flavor of the dough. The cook on the pizza was excellent, the service spot on, and the place was clean and comfortable. The tap list is electronic and it shows how much is left in each keg. The on tap menu was a thorough blend of styles enough for any group.

Tina M.

Yelp
We had the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the Birria pizza, both were fantastic. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was friendly.

Jonathan B.

Yelp
This place is impressive. Unique and stylish, it combines historical aspects from the railroad with a classy rustic dining room. Although we were clearly visitors in town, we were greeted with a warm welcome and quick service. We ordered two pies for three of us, and they were hot, crisp, and done just right. My daughter finished up with the cookie a la mode, which made her day. Definitely worth the time to stop by for refreshments. Now, keep in mind I have not even touched on their vast beer, cider, and wine drink selection, which commands a five star review all by itself.

Andrea K.

Yelp
We frequent Railroad because their pizzas are amazing. I've had the Margherita, the Athens, and the Benedict. All were fantastic. This time I ordered the Wild Funguy Formagio, it was delicious...a little salty, but that's expected with all the mushrooms. Cane with wild roasted mushrooms, mozzarella, red peppers, herbed ricotta, parm, evoo, and parsely. My bf ordered the Birria pizza and he really enjoyed it. It comes with evoo, mozzarella, cilantro, red onion, Berrian beef, and topped with a Chipotle mayo. Everytime we've been, we've had great service. The waitstaff is always refilling drinks or checking on their tables. They also have an excellent beer menu for brews on tap. The inside is very rustic, comfy, and right next to the train tracks. The owners also own a restaurant one block over called Train Wreck, and their food is amazing as well. (Plus, anytime a train goes by, there's a drink special, something like $1 shots...but don't quote me!)

Trang W.

Yelp
This may be my new favorite place to get some yummiest pizza or just a quick lunch. Went there with the husband as I have heard of this place but have never actually been here. We patronage their other restaurant Train Wreck often but fir some reason never have gotten to try this one. Love love the design of it and even more how open and fun it looks. As a mama I love the little arcade place for the little one to entertain themselves allowing us adults to actually eat. Only wish they offer more kid friendly options like chicken nuggets? That would make it perfect for our family. I do have 1 kid that won't eat pizza unfortunately so it would be hard to find something there she would eat. Otherwise I absolutely love all that we ordered and ate.

Yelp
I had to pick up my pickup from the mechanics so my wife and I decided to try The Railroad Pub. I was looking over their menu online the day before and was eager to try their pizza. Just as we were about to arrive at the pub we had to wait for a train! How poetic. However this train must have been maneuvering some cars because it would pull forward, stop for 5 minutes, push back, stop for 5 minutes, pull forward for 5 minutes, push back again, and finally left. After 15 minutes or so we finally traveled the last 30 feet to the parking lot and was able to enter the Pub. Inside there was the typical pub-style high-top tables and chairs with a couple standard height tables and chairs. There were several tvs positioned around the dining area with sporting games on. We were visited by a hostess as soon. As we sat down and told us our server would be right with us and she was about a minute later. Very quick and attentive service the whole time. I ordered the Trainwreck 10" pizza that had sausage, ham, AND pepperoni with red onion, bell pepper, and black olives. I don't normally go for sliced ham on my pizza, but I was very pleased with this pizza! The sausage was a little spicy (always a good thing for me) and was offset by the sweetness of the ham. The pepperoni added some spiciness and kept the ham and bell pepper from making everything too sweet. Another favorite aspect I usually order is thin crust. I'm trying to limit my calories so when I splurge on a pizza I hold back a little by getting a thin crust. I did not ask for a thin crust but it came that way!! Sweet! And BOY! what a nice crust! It was tasty and held up nicely (after I took a bite from the end) My wife ordered the Salmon Salad and was presented with a rather large salad with a full salmon filet lying on top. She was very impressed with her salad and ate more of that dish than I expected. She rarely eTd all that much and ate at least 3/4 of that salad and all of the salmon! I have included photos of our food and some of the current specials going on at the Railroad Pub as of June 2022.

Yelp
Decent little pizza joint making artisan style pizzas. Good beer and cocktail selection and they had a little arcade section for the kiddo's. Service was decent but frazzled at times. Prices were quite higher than I expected for the size of the pizzas served, but they were served hot and fresh and had a decent amount of toppings. Their pizza sauce and marinara were a little blah to me. 7.4/10

Stacy J.

Yelp
Great one person pizza, excellent inside vibe with fun train themed decor, and large windows facing a train yard.

Carolynn T.

Yelp
Some friends and I stopped by after a long morning of hiking and were glad that our first stop had such a long wait or else we wouldn't have been able to experience the delicious pizzas and desserts at Railroad Pub & Pizza! We were able to get seated right away and our server, Derik, was such a great sport - super friendly and helpful with recommendations. We ordered a variety of pizzas and all of the dessert options available that day: I ended up with the Bianco Verde pizza (some others that we had at the table included the Train Wreck, Wild Funguy Formagio, and Brussels and Bacon), and for desserts we got the Skillet Cookie, Coconut Brownie (both served with a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream), and a lemony pound cakey, berry cheesecake. Everything was delicious. I think most of us finished our pizzas or only had one or two slices to take home (or enjoy in the car). Special note that the crust was a nice chewy (but soft) texture and almost had an English Muffin-like vibe about it. I loved it! Desserts were *chef's kiss* though we were so stuffed from the pizza that we couldn't lick those plates clean, unfortunately. My favorite was the cheesecake because the sharpness of the lemon and berry filling helped to cut through the richness of the cheesecake. The brownie was also quite good, but a couple bites too many and you could probably experience quite the roller coaster of sugar highs and crashes so best to share that one.

Yelp
We decided to try something new as we spent the night nearby, and Railroad Pub and Pizza was a pleasant surprise. One of their craft beers "San Juan Harbor" was light, clean and crisp and went perfectly with the Jalapeno Artichoke dip and fresh focaccia bread. The pizzas are 10" so a Train Wreck for me and a Bianco Verde for J followed. First off, the crust is excellent in texture, taste and doneness. The ingredients are all fresh and in good portions, and it all tasted great! The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and on the ball. The facility is new (or newly renovated), bright and clean. There is plenty of room between tables so it's a comfortable experience overall. We make it into Burlington fairly regularly so, we'll be coming back here and bringing friends as there's lots more on the menu to try.

Adria G.

Yelp
Delicious pizza, friendly staff, fun cocktail list! I got the cherry limeade drink and it was delicious. Loved the exposed brick too!

Marie F.

Yelp
Tried this place today! I'm excited to come back and try all the things! The spicy shrimp was amazing, make sure to dip the bread all up in those sauces! The Birria Pizza was delicious and don't forget about the jalapeño artichoke dip! Come say hi to the amazing staff! And enjoy this lovely little pub!

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Had a great experience here! It was recommended by a friend and we stopped in for lunch. We got their cheesy bread and it was amazing. Cheesy bread would get more than 5 stars in my book. Only exception is the marinara dipping sauce it came with was stone cold. I had the meatball pizza and it was decent. Husband had a chicken bacon ranch pizza and there was no bacon on it. Our friend had some kind of combination pizza and enjoyed it. If I were to go back it would be for the cheesy bread. Service was decent and the place was busy!

Mandy M.

Yelp
Pizza was really good, but pricey. It was loud inside, but to be expected. Wish they had a a better tap list, but would go back if in the area again.

Ben S.

Yelp
Great pizzas and family friendly atmosphere. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meeting place for local brews, wines, and smiles !

Alan A.

Yelp
Excellent environment, excellent food! Soup was the chicken wild rice soup which was fantastic. The sandwich with the soup was the derailed sandwich, highly recommend. The sandwich with the salad was the Tuscan sandwich also a recommendation has a little kick to it due to the jalapeño artichoke spread on it. The salad was the house salad with very flavorful lemon dill vinaigrette. The bread on the sandwiches is focaccia and accompanies the sandwich very well. Absolutely loved this place especially traveling from Indiana and having no idea where to eat.

John P.

Yelp
Definitely a great place, will go back next time I'm in town. Great pizza and selection of craft beer.!

Mathea J.

Yelp
Our absolute favorite date night spot- DELICIOUS food, hidden and never too busy, great service where they treat you like family, and a little arcade my husband and I always play while have a drink. Definitely recommend this spot!! You have to try the cheesy bread + house made dill ranch!

Mindy L.

Yelp
Yum!! We stopped in during Ragnar over the summer...very cute little place with great service and delicious food. Appetizers and pizzas were perfect.

Sim J.

Yelp
Great little spot for pizza and beer, and so fittingly named considering it's located right along the railroad tracks! We ordered the jalapeño artichoke dip and the train wreck and chicken bacon ranch pizzas. All were yummy! My only regret was not waiting for the artichoke dip to cool off before diving into it - a regular me problem when anything smells too good to resist. My tongue was burnt for a couple days following but I regret nothing. Highly recommend their Schilling Cider on tap - they never disappoint and I love a local cider! Great service from staff and good social distancing measures are in place as well.

Casey A.

Yelp
Waited for literally 20 minutes for a server - we left. Weird. Too bad? Maybe. They weren't busy just distracted?

Jean B.

Yelp
This place fills up fast so do not hesitate. Excellent menu, choice wines and beer and ever so friendly servers!

Scott N.

Yelp
This is an excellent pizza place for all ages with great ambiance and friendly attentive staff.

Lisa C.

Yelp
We ended up coming here as the Trainwreck bar (sister bar/restaurant) had an hour wait. The beer tap menu was great here. A good variety of NW breweries. The 10" pizzas were thin crust woodfired style. They had yummy sounding pizzas. We ended up with the one with roasted Brussels and the other was the Train wreck. Both were good. Our friends enjoyed the veggie sandwich with added chicken. Overall a good alternative to the sister bar.

Suzanne M.

Yelp
We have gotten pizza here before and it has always been great. However we got pizza last night and we couldn't believe how bad it was. Was it because it was Monday and they had run low from the weekend? Our meat lovers pizza was so lean on meats and had barely any sauce. So disappointed!! We should have returned it.

Duane S.

Yelp
Good pizza selections with rotating special pizzas, good beer selection on draft. Fun little arcade in the back. Awesome roll open windows for summer time breeze (and helped have a sit down "indoor" spot during covid that was greatly appreciated)

Kim V.

Yelp
Visited originally in July during Ragnar and when we were in Tulalip, we drove the extra way to return here. Reasons? First, the food: Brussels appetizer, great selections of pizzas, and beer (love that there are non-alcohol opts). Second, ambiance: nice casual and comfortable setting with lots of natural light. Third, friendly staff that seem to really enjoy it there. We'll be back when we're up that way next.

Ken B.

Yelp
Don't know how we've missed this place. A great selection of adult beverages, both beer and mixes. The menu was loaded with great options. Wife and I both had a pizza. She had the Cubano pizza, it tasted great. I had a traditional pepperoni. We had a pretzel with beer cheese to start with. The sandwiches we saw coming out to other people looked incredible. Talking more with the waitress and we find out they use local suppliers for their food. All in all a great restaurant.

Briella W.

Yelp
I actually prefer this place over the sister restaurant which BOTH are good. I don't know I just find the atmosphere more fun and the fresh salads and pizza are so yum. I love all the appetizers and I love the pizza with the egg on it lol. So good. I love the taste of the dough. I don't know if it's homemade but obviously I assume it is and when people say let's get pizza this is what I want. Yeah very pleased been here a few times!!

Katie A.

Yelp
Stopped here after a long day of being on the road. Beer selection is great. Pizza is even better. The only minor annoyance were the kids playing in the arcade. I had multiple small children wander/run into me during my dining experience. Eh, I get it but maybe it's not everybody's cup of tea. Check this place out!

Max M.

Yelp
Love this place, love the atmosphere, love the food and love the staff. Guaranteed great time and fun. The wait staff is friendly and not afraid to give you a hard time if you're a Cowboys fan.

DJ E.

Yelp
The ambiance is great! Nice and airy and open but the food is just average. We had a pizza which was ok, nothing great, the cobb salad wasn't very good, mushy chicken with no flavor and the meatball sandwich was just ok. The first beer we ordered was warm, the light beer was out so we ended up with alasakan amber and bodizafah. The pretzel was the best thing and that wasn't even that great. I probably wouldn't go back again.

Charlotte G.

Yelp
I came here on a weekday afternoon around 4 with a group of three. Service was pretty prompt as there were not many other people dining in at this time. The decor was interesting, the railroad theme and wood tables made for a nice combination of a warm homey feel as well as a pub feel. I ended up ordering the Thai pizza. I am usually a pretty fierce opponent to pineapple on pizza, but this time I decided to face my fears (and my taste buds). This pizza truly ended up being the only pineapple pizza I've ever enjoyed. In fact, I really enjoyed it! The chili sauce was a smart addition. It definitely helped to balance out the sweetness of the pineapple with a bit of spice. Overall, I have to give this place 4 stars for being the only place to successfully make me doubt my stance on pineapple pizza. From now on, it's "I don't like pineapple pizza...mostly" and that means a lot from me.

Shannon P.

Yelp
Great service-we could tell that our server knew his restaurant well and he was extremely attentive. Solid ambiance, atmosphere and the food was delicious. The molten brownie / vanilla dessert was amazing.

Christopher R.

Yelp
We were going to a different restaurant but because my son is 19, we couldn't go in. Instead we came here. Goods choice. When the manager heard how far we drove to get here, he bought us a cheesy bread. Yum. We had different pizzas and shared. The stand out was the Reuben Pizza. Yes, you read it right; a Reuben Pizza. If you like Reuben sandwiches, get this pizza. The meat was fantastic as well as the sauce.

Julie L.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere! Friendliest service we've received in a long time! The pizza was delicious! A definite must try place, it won't disappoint!!

Maureen M.

Yelp
My adult daughter, her two sons and myself ate at the Railroad Pub and Pizza on Monday, July 31st. It was our first time eating there. Our server Kayla was an amazing waitress. We have NEVER had such horrible pizza in our lives. Every time that we picked up a piece of pizza, all of the toppings would fall off. It was like there wasn't any cheese on either pizza. We did take our leftover pizza to go but we just threw it in the garbage. We have eaten at the Train Wreck several times and the food was always amazing. I just wanted to let you know how unsatisfied we were. I definitely do NOT recommend!!!

Brea S.

Yelp
We had the nicest, sweetest and best server today. We've had her numerous times, and she's always so sweet. You can tell she loves kids and she likes her job. We appreciate you!

Jessica H.

Yelp
Today was our first time visiting for lunch! Our friends have gone Multiple times and we decided to go here after the pumpkin patch! It is very open and super trendy and comfy! Large TVs for sports. An arcade and game room for the kids. The food was great! Thin crust pizza, more personal sized! Apps also were great! Plus the beer was fantastic! Our waitress was awesome and ended up having a connection with her through my son! Very good experience!

Melody S.

Yelp
What an awesome place! Free parking onsite. Good food. Impeccable service. The best ciders and stouts. The best stop for food to make in Burlington wherever your travels take you. Margarita pizza had fresh fragrant ingredients. Brussels were spicy and savory. Plenty of space for families and couples alike. An easy stop off I5 and you'll be glad you did!
