"Most of New Jersey’s key food groups—pork roll, hoagies, and disco fries just to name a few—are well represented on LBI. But there isn’t a ton of red sauce Italian food, and if that’s what you’re craving, you’re only going to one place: Raimondo’s. The portions are all huge, and unless you biked to this Ship Bottom spot from Beach Haven or Loveladies, the appetizers, like meatballs with whipped ricotta or grilled octopus, could work as entrees." - Matt Tervooren, Tonya Russell

First time in 20 years we have been disappointed here. We ordered from the early dining menu. In the past this has been only offered on Sunday and was wonderful, same quality as regular menu. Last night they looked like they came from different kitchens. My entree had two stuffed shrimp. Everything was delicious but plating and portions not up to par for this restaurant. We were also told they were out of burrata and the table next to us who came in later had a big heaping ball of it.

Our past visit was with visiting friends on Saturday 9/14. As a local resident we have dined many times at Raimondo’s. We even have done take out at times when it is extremely busy (you will need to order early though). They have always been accommodating. Excellent cuisine, perhaps the best on LBI. Our server was very attentive which is greatly appreciated. She proactively watched our table, even simple things such as being sure water glasses were being filled. Some seating in the dining area can feel cramped but room is adequate overall. The one recommendation is to dress lightly. The dining area is consistently on the warm side as the air conditioning does not seem to be able to keep up.

Our favorite! We come often and are never disappointed. The food is delicious and the staff is very professional and welcoming. They have gone out of their way to accommodate us. Whether it is a large family celebration or just the two of us, they go out of their way to welcome us. We particularly like dining here in the winter months as it's quiet and even romantic. A shout out to Dana, Rich, and actually all of the wait staff. We are glad to live close by and call it our "go to" place often.

I had the most incredible dining experience at Raimondo's restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. Our server, Denise went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was taken care of, making the atmosphere feel welcoming and inviting. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? Each dish that was presented to me was a work of art. The flavors were simply outstanding, and the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality. From the appetizers to the main course, every bite was a burst of culinary perfection. I cannot recommend Raimondo's enough. It is without a doubt the best restaurant on the island. If you are looking for impeccable food, top-notch service, and an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than Raimondo's. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

We came here for the early bird special in December. We hadn’t been in over 10 years and the restaurant is under new ownership/management and the food was fantastic. One of the best pork chops, everyone wished they had ordered that once they had a taste. Fried artichokes was the best appetizer. The tuna egg rolls which I think was a special were underwhelming. Risotto scallops was a good choice and I think I got the chicken parm and wish I had gotten the pork chops! Desserts were all delicious and the whipped cream was so good, we were all left guessing what the ingredients were until the chef came out to explain the process. Again: early bird special cause we all know LBI is slowly becoming the Hamptons

I'll preface this review by saying we've had a number of visits to Raimondos, and the food and experience has been very good - at a 4 stars out of 5 level. It's good to very good food, servers have been good, BYOB, etc. However, our most recent visit - 6 of us - unfortunately contained an egregiously bad episode, to the point that I had no choice but to make this a 3 star review. One of us ordered a steak special, a ribeye, and was ordered "as rare as possible", yet came out medium to medium well. Was an expensive steak, so it was especially important to get it cooked as ordered, so we sent it back. To our surprise, the exact same steak arrived back to the table within a few minutes with a big cut through the center of the steak, revealing a medium cooked center. The server explained that the chef cut it down the center to show that it was as ordered. We refused the steak & ordered something else. What a debacle!! Unprofessional, incorrect, really poor judgement! This is the kind of thing that makes you think "I'll probably never go back", which is a real shame. The other food was good, but overpriced, as is typical & expected for the island. Very disappointing experience! That chef should be let go immediately!

Food was good, but not as good as other times we've been here. In particular, the octopus appetizer was pretty bad. Some parts were chewy and some parts were mushy. Not pleasant at all. The main courses were better although one dish described as Chilean Sea Bass francese was definitely black sea bass. Don't know how you'd do francese with a thick fish like Chilean Sea Bass. Turned out to be quite good.

Our group of 4 had dinner there last Sunday. Upon being seated, the waitress informed us we could order bottles of wine from the restaurants local winery partner as it is BYO. All good. The shrimp cocktail appetizer for $19 came with exactly 3 shrimp. A little skimpy if you ask me. A very small loaf of bread with oil was provided. Not enough for 4. I ordered the Tile Fish special over top of of Risotto. The dish was so salty I could not finish it. It was a complete turnoff.i don’t know what else to say. I did not say anything to the staff but did mention it to my dinner partners. Don’t think I’ll be back. Also, they were out of cannolis for dessert. Also disappointing. The wine ( a red blend) was very good.
