The 25 Best Restaurants & Bars In Madrid 2024 - Madrid - The Infatuation

"Most of Madrid’s outdoor terraces are fancy rooftops or seats on busy streets where cars and motos zoom by. But not Raimunda, a restaurant whose terrace sits in a charming outdoor courtyard that’s part of the leafy grounds of the Palacio de Linares (make sure to reserve a table a couple months ahead of time, especially during the warmer months). This is a total escape from busy Madrid with a peaceful patio, complete with fountains, flowers, and heat lamps for those chillier days. The Oriental Chicken with garlic and fried peanuts is perfect for sharing, and if you’d prefer a dish all to yourself, order the flaky corvina white fish infused with achiote." - Lori Zaino

I visited Raimunda back in 2022, and even though some details have faded with time, the overall experience left a lasting impression. Despite arriving without a reservation and finding the place fully booked, the staff kindly found us a spot at the bar — a gesture that speaks volumes about their excellent service and attention to guests. From there, we enjoyed delicious food in a vibrant, elegant setting that beautifully blends classic charm with a modern touch. The ambiance was lively yet relaxed, and the atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the moment. The service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. It’s one of those places where the experience stays with you, even years later. I’d happily go back to relive it all again.

Delicious food, friendly and helpful staffs, nice environment. We dine here as a big group and they served us nicely from entree to dessert. As an Asian customer eating here, I’m happy that the taste of food was really fusing the original freshness or ingredient (taste light) and the use of seasoning & spices (taste moderate) gave me a wonderful meal which I don’t feel I’m too far from home and craving for heavy taste food.

The best pork tenderloin I’ve had in my life. We don’t speak Spanish, but despite this the staff was very friendly and patient. I don’t think I can ever order pork again in the US without being disappointed. Sorry about the photo, but I started eating before stopping to take a photo and post this wee-deserved review.

Fancy restaurant located in the city center, in Palacio de Linares. A mixed menu of Mediterranean dishes and a nicer cocktail list. The food was very good, good service with some room for improvement and a beautiful decor. I loved the polpo and the tasty John Collins. You better reserve in advance and enjoy!

I was expecting much more from this restaurant. The atmosphere looks nice and fancy but the service is quite slow and not well coordinated. The meet came out cold!

We had a great time here, ambiance is great, lovely place, food and drinks were good, we tried different tapas and most of them were delicious, our waiter was Esneider and he was very nice and kind to us. I would def be back.

Naomi received us with such warmth and walked us through the menu well. Beautiful place ❤️

This place has a nice atmosphere, and the food was much better on our previous visit. Unfortunately, it seems there’s been a change in management or ownership because this experience was extremely disappointing — and I left feeling cheated. We ordered the Oxtail Lasagna and the Argentinian Rib-Eye, listed at $24.99. The waiter mentioned the Rib-Eye was “big enough for two,” but I responded that I’d be the judge of that. My wife and I decided to share both dishes along with some bread and bottled water. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to see we’d been charged $48 for the Rib-Eye — apparently because we “shared it.” I asked for clarification multiple times, but the explanations were vague and evasive. It’s clear this is a tactic aimed at taking advantage of tourists. Locals might be able to challenge it, but if you’re visiting, beware — you may not have the same leverage. Tourists, stay away! This place preys on visitors, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to fall victim to this kind of scam.

Yelp
Excellent indoor/outdoor terrace venue in Madrid with good Ibero-American cuisine. I chose to dine at the bar and loved the decor and ambiance. Outdoors attracts a sociable crowd in an equally attractive ambiance. Very unique restaurant/bar.

Yelp
This was not a traditional steak but it was very delicious and the watermelon sauce it came with was very unique. The rose cocktail was beautiful and the liquor 43 dessert cocktail was absolutely amazing one of the best drinks I've ever had.

Yelp
Fantastic dinner and fantastic service. You often come across Spanish joints where service is just flat out mediocre, but Raimunda's waiters and waitresses were very attentive and kind. We had various dishes: calamari, oxtail lasagna, croquettes, and the tequeños. I also tried their tinto de verano, which was so refreshing, a great portion for its price, and delicious. First, the calamari were exquisite, soft, and thinly breaded. They came with a black sauce and lemon, and I felt full after half a plate. The croquettes were amazing because they were also thinly breaded, savory, and had a soft inside. They were very very good for restaurant (not's grandma's homemade) croquettes and I would definitely go back for some! The tequenos were my least favorite appetizer because they tasted very normal but it's great finger food, very cheesy, and what fascinated me about the dish was the basil sauce it came with! I tired a bite of the oxtail lasagna and it was perfectly cooked, the pasta was al dente, sauce was tasty, the meat was juicy and soft as well, and overall the presentation was very nice. The bathroom was hidden to the right. I admire the design, the cleanliness, and how separated it is from the dining area. Overall we had a great time! They also have a beautiful outdoor area, which we didn't know about until after our dinner! Will be back.

Yelp
Five stars for all: food service and ambiance. Ambiance get an extra nod for creativity and uniqueness. Highly recommend. The craft cocktails were an extra delight as well. One mention, if you want to eat outside in their garden, you must specify when making reservations.

Yelp
We entered the restaurant during lunch time with 7 people with no reservation and where sat without hesitation. The restaurant was beautiful, it was truly an experience. The staff was great and very attentive and friendly. The food was next level and cheap for how nice the restaurant was. If you are in Madrid impress whoever your with by inviting them to eat with you at this restaurant.

Yelp
What a fun night out. We sat at the bar and had a bottle of wine which was insanely affordable (15 euros). I thought it was the cost of a glass not a bottle!! It also has a patio area that turns into a outdoor club type space. The music is more chill but it has a fun vibe and plenty of outdoor space. It kind of reminds me of Miami. The place is something we stumbled on and definitely would go back. It is a hidden gem and has both the party and chill vibe depending on what you are looking for.

Yelp
Lovely spot for dinner. Hotel concierge recommended and we were not disappointed. Beautiful ambiance and good service. We ordered a variety of plates and stand outs were the apple salad, ceviche, empanadas and croquetas.

Yelp
3.5 -- American family of four (two teenage sons). Read reviews and checked out menu while having cocktails. Everything looked awesome. The vibe was super cool - great location, great venue. Food started off well with great drinks and great appetizers. Main meal was just okay. Son ordered a burger medium and it was rare.... Beyond rare but was good and he doesn't mind rare meat. I mention that in case others get the burger. Other son ordered steak and they didn't ask for temp and it came out a solid medium. I got the hake fish and wife also got seafood. Main entrees were above average but not great. Most disappointed by the service which seemed to decline as the meal went on. They had plenty of staff... but just no attention to detail and providing even average service. Disappointing. Would not return... but not because of the food.

Yelp
My mom looked at this restaurant on the street and said we should come. I didn't really want to because I couldn't find any reviews here. Lo and behold. Amazing food and amazing service! It's a new restaurant thats why there aren't many reviews but you'll definitely love it. It's a fushion Spanish, Asian and South American.
