"Yep, that’s right — tourist trap Rainforest Cafe has a Restaurant Week deal. Both lunch and dinner options are available with three courses each. Without pricing online for the regular menu, it’s hard to compare prices to the menu directly. But a note on the top of the Restaurant Week menu notes that soda isn’t included with the meal, if that’s a clue of what’s to come. When lunch at Bellemore is the same price and same number of courses as Rainforest Cafe, the choice is easy." - Elizabeth Atkinson

Overall: Come for the atmosphere, stay for the surprisingly good food. Rainforest is a tourism staple that won't disappoint the family. The good: Obviously the atmosphere is over-the-top and fun. You're surrounded by a ton of plants, animals, water, and a variety of noises. The menu is surprisingly large and well varied, which will probably please anyone in a group. The food itself was above my low expectations and came out hot. Service was friendly and the seating was clean. The not-so-good: Expensive. Even if you go bare bones with just the basics (sandwiches, salads, soups), you're looking at ~$15. If you want something more, whether it's apps, a platter, drinks, etc., be prepared to spend $40+ per person. Which, in all honesty, is way too much. Food/Drink: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10

The food was very good. The decor and atmosphere is designed for families with smaller children. (The 12 year old girl with us was not impressed. ) I feel like made us wait unnecessarily because the first floor dining area was completely empty and so we're several tables upstairs. Maybe they were trying to sway us to purchase items from the store.

I love this place. Super child friendly! Place: The atmosphere and music jives along. The idea of having a jungle inspired restaurant in Chicago downtown is such a genius! The concept unleash the child of me. Touring around makes you realize how beautiful the wildlife animals are! Coz they are actually moving here! Food: Foods are awesome tasty! I forgot the name but I really like it and I’ve got a drink with a souvenir of a pretty parrot. Hehe! Overall, great food offers! Price: Price is moderately high but worth it! Promise! Service: Excellent! The staff is very friendly and helpful. He knows everything in the menu. Also, very accommodating. Parking: Well, parking in Chicago downtown is really a headache.

It's a nice place to be for everyone. Kids and adults alike will surely like its jungle-themed souvenir and resto. Staff were very warm and friendly when we were there. Our kids enjoyed being there. Food was great too.

This place was just okay, not thoroughly impressed. No reservation but the wait time wasn't horrible (35 - 45 minutes). They have an overpriced retail store with lots of options to assist with the wait. The dining area was unbelievably HOT & MUGGY and the food wasn't that great! It was either bland or over seasoned, no middle ground. I myself had the "Korean Spicy Stir Fry Chicken" and it was incredibly salty! I left with a hypertensive headache. On a positive note, our server was excellent! He was very attentive and personable. Overall, my children loved this place but that's simply because of the atmosphere. I don't see us going back anytime soon but I may be willing to give them another try, one day in the distant future. Most likely in the fall or winter time when the restaurant isn't as hot.

THE FOOD IS WAY OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY OF FOOD URE SERVED. WE SPENT 200 BUCKS ON 2 KIDS MEALS, A BURGER, 1 PASTA DISH AND 2 CHICKEN PLATES. OUR SERVER CAME FREQUENTLY AND WAS PLEASANT. I THINK URE REALLY PAYING FOR THE AMBIANCE. THE ATTRACTIONS ARE WELL KEPT. THEY MOVE AND MAKE SOUNDS. THERES ALSO A WATERFALL WHICH IS PRETTY NEAT AND A GIFT STORE. OVERALL, ITS A NICE PLACE TO TAKE UR CHILDREN AT LEAST ONCE.

What a great place to take kids of all ages. The food was a bit pricey but it was worth it. They also have a gentleman making balloon animals for the children. I will definitely be back when I get to Chicago

Pretty cool place... Good food... But very noisy! If you have kids they will enjoy... A bit pricey as well
