I had reservations for a large group on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. We arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled reservation time and were told by the hostesses that 80% of our party had to be present in order for us to be seated. OK, that's understandable. So we roamed the gift shop while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. It was 5 minutes before our scheduled reservation time and our entire party of 16 people approached the podium. The same hostesses that we checked-in with initially, who were very much aware of our reservation, asked if 80% of our party was present. Seriously? There's literally a mob of people standing in front of you. But okay. Then one hostess mouths to the other something along the lines of "Can you set up [the table]?" and she mouths back "I don't want to". So instead of getting the table ready for a large group you were expecting, you just stood there snacking on whatever from a Rainforest Cafe kids cup? At this point, I was super annoyed but was determined not to let it ruin my kid's birthday dinner and I, honestly, already had pretty low expectations coming in.
Things definitely took a turn for the better when we were serviced by waitress SYORIAH! Thank goodness for her patience, attentiveness, great attitude, and awesome service because that's what made our night! If you're visiting this location, ask for her and you'll have a great time! Everyone enjoyed their meals, especially the birthday boy, who loved the "live entertainment" from the rainstorms and animatronics.
All in all, we had great service from Syoriah, tasty hot food, and a memorable time. I'm glad I didn't let the rude and disrespectful hostess experience set the mood for the night.
