Where to Eat Near Mount Rainier National Park | Eater Seattle
"A lively daytime through early evening spot in Ashford with a big outdoor section and frequent live music, Rainier BaseCamp’s wooden exterior and Himalayan prayer flags pay tribute to its mountain setting. The menu is more American, however, featuring bubbly pizzas, wraps and sandwiches, and burgers, including salmon and veg burgers. If you’ve forgotten any outdoor gear or necessities, in true PNW fashion, BaseCamp also sells and rents mountain gear, outdoor clothes, and guiding services." - Alicia Erickson
We stopped on a Sunday, early September, and it wasn’t busy at lunch time. We enjoyed our sandwich, wrap, and cheeseburgers, but they were out of fries. After ordering, it only took maybe 10-15 minutes to get our food, which was good.

It's a pretty standard fast food/bar fare type of deal. Pizza, burger, salad, etc. A few alcoholic drinks. Service is relatively quick. Clean establishment.
Outdoor and indoor seats. The outdoor has a fire going. A little chilly so bring your jacket. The inside is more cozy but louder. Ample parking. Bathroom at the adjacent building.
In general... It's just ok. Not bad, not great, just decent and what's to be expected.

Had a great turkey, bacon, ranch wrap. Also had some beer and fries. Unluckily, they had run out of cheese for their pizzas. They were getting some in the the next day. I did get to smell their pizza the day before it smelled amazing!!
Definitely a great place to enjoy a drink and or some food and read a book, or just sit back and enjoy the beauty of the area.
I highly recommend!

Great prices on food and drinks, especially considering the surrounding resteraunts pricing.
Great atmosphere with a lot of seating.
Really good pizza.
I had both the Mt.Rainer (everything) and The Cleaver (meat lovers)

Tasty burger, tasty beer, good location. Unfortunately they did not have any clam chowder, but that’s okay, we still enjoyed it. We took a break and lounged around for a few hours after some sightseeing in the park.

On a Friday evening this place was not super busy when we went. We got the cleaver pizza which was pretty good. The crust was pretty well cooked with great air pockets, crisp and well risen. The toppings were great as well. My wife felt that they could have used a bit more of the sauce but I liked it. I also got a pale ale to go with it. They have nice outdoor seating as well.

Stopped for lunch after riding the Mt Rainier Scenic Railway. Food quality is very good with a great selection of burgers, sandwiches, wraps and pizzas. Fantastic beer selection.

The food was tasty, and they had gluten free buns, so I was more than satisfied. Since the weather was perfect, most folks were sitting outside on the wonderful variety of seating options. The musician made the vibe even more special. Next time we're at Mount Rainier, we're coming here again.
