Yelp
Hands down the more overrated fast-food chain ever.
The chicken - not bad from a flavor standpoint, but the tenders I received were ridiculously small. I ordered the 3-tender combo, and the tenders were barely larger than chicken nuggets received at some other places. If I go to KFC or another restaurant and the tenders are that small they give you an extra one to make up for it. Not Raising Cane's! They charge you a premium and give you really small pieces.
The Cane's Sauce - I get that some people love the Cane's sauce, but it is not my thing. That is fine, tastes can be subjective, everybody likes different things. But the real problem here is there are no other options, so if you like something different, Raising Cane's raises their middle finger at you. They TELL you what sauce you are going to have and you are going to like it. That is ridiculous! Offer the Cane's sauce for people who like it, but offer options for people that don't. Basically, they are saying if you don't like the Cane's sauce they don't want your business. Fine, I'll go elsewhere for my chicken tenders. Considering how many options there are for chicken, they should not be driving people away cause they want to shove their sauce down our throats.
The French Fries - Maybe they are good if you eat them in house, but they put the fries in a closed container while they are hot and with the hot chicken. The heat from the fries and chicken form condensation in the container so the fries get soggy and limp. There is a reason why all other fast-food restaurants put their fries in open sleeves. Also, the portion of fries I received was incredibly small, like a value size fries at another restaurant.
The Texas Toast - I love Texas Toast, but when taking the food to go it has the same issue as the fries. In a container with hot food so the condensation makes it soggy. Again, also like the fries, it is probably better in house than to go.
Lastly, their drive thru is a mess. Cars have to cross lanes and try to avoid other cars. You literally have to circle the building twice to get in and get out. I don't know how there aren't tons of accidents there. And if anyone ever gets hit by a car, I hope they sue this place out of existence.
Bad, bad, bad, and then more bad. Avoid at all costs.
