Yelp
Raising Cane's has been on my radar for a while. When they first opened, the lines were so long, I decided I could wait. From what everyone told me, it was just ok.i wanted to try it, just to say I had.
I came in today, around the time they opened. Pretty sure I was their first customer. The place was really clean, including the bathrooms. The lady who took my order was really friendly, too. I ended up getting the 3 Finger Combo, which was $10.55, including tax. It's a little cheaper than the average combo meal, so that was a plus. Another plus was the sweet tea, which tasted great. I found it to be really refreshing, without being overly sweet. However, they need to fix their ketchup dispenser. When I pressed down on the nozzle, it spat out all over the area, including my phone....bummer.
So the food came out really fast, which I guess is to be expected, considering there was no other customers in there, yet. Never the less, I was happy.
So how did the food taste? Eh. The fries were real crispy, and not overly salty, but the chicken left something to be desired. The chicken itself was pretty moist, which is good, but the breading/skin on it was not crispy at all, and was actually quite soggy. It also didn't have much flavor to it, so the dipping sauce that comes with it is vital. The meal also came with toast, which was light and fluffy, but that didn't have much taste either.
So overall, the service, cleanliness, the sweet tea, and the cheaper price point were all good. However, the food itself was nothing to write home about. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again, but I might give it another shot, at some point. 3.5 stars would probably be a more accurate rating for this place, but Yelp doesn't give an option for half stars.
