"Across town, in North Charleston, another former SNL actor Chevy Chase took orders at chicken finger chain Raising Cane’s. He greeted customers at the drive-thru, chatted with visitors in the dining room, ate some lunch, and participated in a TikTok." - Erin Perkins

Service was fast and accurate. Staff was kind and helpful. When we arrived, it was PACKED but we were able to order, get our food, eat and leave quickly- in just under 30 minutes for it all. Food was great. I always love a Raining Cane’s run. No complaints at all!

Google
Honestly, I don't get the hype, the chicken and sauces here are about on par with every similar establishment and the fr ies are actually uninspired. The garlic bread is usually pretty good and you don't see a lot of other fast food places. I like it, but it's not really worth a long line or going out of one's way. After all, everything tastes like chicken anyway.

Google
This is my second time trying Raising Cane’s. First time was in California. I wanted to let my kids try it since they’ve never had it before (Zaxby’s is their favorite). I like the Cane sauce w/ the chicken fingers. I was a little upset when I got one of the side of crinkle-cut fries as it looks like they forgot to add the rest of fries in the container. I ordered two and one was full while the other one was half full. We ordered the tray to take home for late lunch and left overs for work. Overall, chicken fingers taste good, would recommend to heat up in air fryer if going to save for later.

Google
Shakayla on the intercom taking orders was so nice and patient, gave the cutest greeting. It really makes a difference when you receive quality customer service. My fries weren't very fresh, but everything else was great. Soda was nice and crisp. Plenty of indoor seating.

Google
I paid 20.44 for this I ordered two extra breads they forgot one I went back in to get the other bread.. they were on it no hassle there… the chicken tenders were good but the fries were dry and cold I felt like the serving size of the fries wasnt correct… customer service was amazing

Google
The chicken fingers are a true delight! So moist. Not dry at all!!!! The sauce is a bit salty, but other that, very delicious. The Cole slaw portion is small, but totally yummy. Fries were crispy and good. Typical fries, but good.

I took my grandson for lunch. I ordered two different meals. I didn't hear what the gentleman said behind the counter when he read them back. I went to pay for it and noticed it wasn't enough. it was during lunchtime and it was hard to hear for both of us. I told him I owe him more money. He got a manager and said no that's fine. They gave me what I had ordered, but also let me take the order that was misunderstood. I tried to pay for it and they said no it is fine. The customer service was amazing not because I got free food but because of how they handled it. I told him it was my fault and my misunderstanding. I've been in there a couple times and they always say so nice and the place is clean.

Google
This place is obviously popular and the staff did a good job managing the long drive-through line. The chicken fingers and fries were good, but $59 for four fast food combos of chicken fingers? Only because it was late and convenient and my kids were dying to try it.

Yelp
Raising Cane's is a solid choice for chicken lovers. The chicken fingers were delicious--crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned. The fries were also enjoyable, but the Texas Toast didn't do much for me. I don't frequent fast food, but after hearing great things, I had to try it. What I love most is that the restaurant is named after the founder's yellow Labrador, with other yellow Labs serving as mascots and even therapy dogs. As a dog person, that definitely earns extra points in my book!

Yelp
I had a craving for Canes and decided to go around lunch hour. The drive-through was packed with cars, but they exceeded my expectations with their incredibly fast service, even during peak hours. I was able to get my order in no time. I ordered the box combo, and I substituted the coleslaw for an extra toast, and I added an extra Cane's sauce. The food was hot and fresh. The chicken tenders were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the toast was nice and buttery. The fries had just the right amount of salt and had a nice crunch to them. The cane sauce added the perfect amount of flavor to each bite. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch experience that left me feeling full and satisfied. I will definitely be returning to this location for lunch in the future.

Ian M.

Yelp
Great service and the staff were sure to make sure our table was clean before we sat. As always. If you like chicken fingers this is your only stop.

Anne O.

Yelp
Seems to have lost its flavor...everything was 'off' and the parking lot alone is enough to not visit this sight.

Jay T.

Yelp
Tasty restaurant for good chicken strips and crinkle fries. If you have difficulty making food decisions at restaurants, this is your place! Just four menu options - all chicken strips and fries; just a matter of how many and if solo or on a bun. Their house dipping sauce is very tasty too. About $8-9 for a combo with drink and just okay piece of "TX toast". Coleslaw is also available, but that's about it. Standard Coke products and tea at the self-service station. They must be doing something right. We luckily got there Sat. at lunch just before a massive line formed at the counter and drive-thru line wrapped around the building. The employees were pleasant and our food was ready within five minutes; can't say the same once the lines formed. Big seating area inside. They did need to clean up a bit and wipe some tables.

Brittany M.

Yelp
Definitely reminds me of a chick fil a near us with the line wrapping around the building but this is due to the inside not being opened. The line actually went quicker than I thought it was gonna be and before we knew it, it was our turn to order. We got the 6 tenders a sweet tea and two kids meals which came with stickers and a key chain. The canes sauce is definitely yummy and the chicken is slightly different than chick fil a but good! Everyone enjoyed their food.

Angie S.

Yelp
Food was great, music was too loud, and the parking was non existent. Maybe drive through or take out, but unless you have ear plugs don't eat in.

Scott S.

Yelp
A solid experience at this Canes location. Food was tasty and timely. Busy but still enjoyable (B)

Janessa H.

Yelp
Super unseasoned... the food literally taste like nothing. Food was served really fast for it to be as busy as it was, so that was the only thing good about this place. There were lots of people and a really fun vibe. But I for sure wasted my money eating here!

Jeffrey R.

Yelp
When I passed the place looking for a quick dinner the line wrapped around the building. I remember my son telling me about it, he had never had it, but wanted to try it as he had heard the hype. I ordered a 4 piece chicken box. Four tenders, not bad, the breading comes off easily, taste was ok, nothing special. Without the sauce, they are no better than any other run of the mill tenders, only a little smaller. they are not that big. Cole Slaw, it was good. Fries were good, not too salty and crinkle cut. Texas toast, also not bad. They should toast both sides. Canes sauce........ ok this is good, dam good. it saved the meal. again, not bad but not amazing. OK is the right description, so that rates 3 stars.

Christina P.

Yelp
Came here with my friends for a quick late lunch. I don't eat chicken so I ordered their fries and got it eat some of my friend's texas toast. They're pretty good. Service was good and we got our food quickly. We sat inside. My friends said their chicken was fine.

Crystal F.

Yelp
Best chicken tender restaurant in Charleston area! If your looking for great chicken tenders come here. You will not be disappointed. The crinkle cut fries is the best fries they could have paired it with. I love the added toast. Besides the taste the price is affordable and you won't break the bank. Always a pleasure going and I will continue returning.

Timothy A.

Yelp
I wish there was a location in West Ashley, because I would be here every other day. The chicken fingers were so good. Juicy. Tender. Well battered and fried. The dipping sauce was top notch and could compete with any of the top sauces in town at other local fried chicken locations. The fries were ok, but the chicken was the star, as it should be. Service was quick and friendly. Will visit again if I'm ever on this side of town again.

Lameka S.

Yelp
Listen the bread alone is worth coming back. If I knew it was that good I would have ordered more. I ordered chicken finger plate and it too was good especially with the canes sauce. The sauce is even good in the fries. Back to the bread though....mouth watering!!

Susan B.

Yelp
I went to raising canes today at lunch time it way very busy. We had ordered our food and it only took about 10 minutes. When I got my food it was very neat and not sloppy or slung around. The fried chicken and toast was very good. But when k got my sweet tea it had no ice I thought it was kinda weird they didn't put ice but overall it was very good.

Cindee P.

Yelp
Not bad. It wasn't anything special really. The sauce is good, but the chicken was a bit greasy. It needed the sauce as it was a bit bland. The fries were a bit plain, too. The bread was amazing.

Kiyah H.

Yelp
43 cent for an extra cane sauce ??? that's ridiculous!!! they don't offer nothing but chicken fingers and fries literally. the chicken sandwich has 3 chicken fingers on some bread. that's totally ridiculous

Heather S.

Yelp
Chicken chicken what's your picken I don't know who said this to us but just loved it and made this so memorable! Food is always great

Susanne B.

Yelp
Ended up here late at night because Raising Cane's was walking distance from our hotel and still open. The location's dining area wasn't clean, we had to wipe down our own table. Staff looked a little overwhelmed and ignored several groups of customers deliberately making a further mess (pushing condiment tabs and letting ketchup run onto the floor) etc. However, the food arrived hot and absolutely delicious within a short time. Very moist chicken, crisp toast, yummy sauce, and chilled coleslaw. Large portions of food for a reasonable price. While we were eating, an employee from another chicken chain arrived to eat here, still in her work uniform which speaks volumes about the quality of the food in my opinion. If I lived in the area, I would definitely eat here again, but I might use the drive through next time.

Austin D.

Yelp
Excellent quick chicken joint. Very simple menu: chicken fingers, fries, toast, slaw. Period. They can put chicken on bread to make a sandwich. Or baskets of various size for the combo discount. Or a boatload of chicken in a big ol tray. Th chicken is good, restaurant is clean.

Don S.

Yelp
Oh my. I had heard a little t if good things about Cained...but this was just really bad. Way over sales fries, chicken fingers 1 was ok the other two looked like they barely had batter. Never again!

Mike G.

Yelp
Tried this location traveling from Columbia to James island to see the Christmas lights. Had I known this restaurant didn't have a dine in option I'd never of pulled in. This was a trap. As soon as you pull in you're STUCK... I was forced to wait like 30 minutes just to try and get out. This is the worst place to try to get around. There was atleast an hour wait for the drive thru. There is no chicken finger on the planet worth that. "F" this place. I really wanted to try it but if I'm gonna wait that long I'm gonna get a steak. I can get a chicken nugget from McDonald's in 5 minutes. We went to Culver's. They never disappoint. Raising Canes OVERRATED!!!

Emily G.

Yelp
I love Canes, but this location is not on my recommended. Currently, their dining room is closed due to lack of staffing, which is understandable. But while we were in line their system shut down and it was cash only. On top of those inconveniences, they forgot our extra toast and the parking lot is terribly dangerous. The food itself was fine, but the fries were incredibly salty (for my preference). The whole experience was full of frustration. I usually don't write bad reviews, especially when the food was decent, but it overall was not a pleasant experience.

Chrys R.

Yelp
I love their food but why is the dining room always randomly closed? They get 1 star because I couldn't sit in and enjoy my meal.

Heather D.

Yelp
My favorite to-go treat. It reminds me of home (baton rouge, la). the crinkle fries are scrumpiously crispy. The tenders are crispy on the exterior but juicy on the inside. I can't choose favorites b/t the dipping sauces - its just choosing over your children. I love both the honey mustard (sweet and more dressing like .. its a runny sauce) and the thicc cane's sauce (mayo, ketchup, worchestire sauce and more). Then lastly the texas toast brings it home. A little salty and garlicly. Yummo. I have had cane's probably over 100x (its been in baton rouge for 20 years) and it tastes like cane's #1

John H.

Yelp
I arrived arely as they were setting up however the management took care of me and my son. Great staff and management

Glenn V.

Yelp
I guess what sucked me in was the intensity of the red used, perhaps it's scarlett or another attractive shade of red -- wine. And if I ever return to this business you can be sure I'll have had a few first. Speaker on tall and wide, illuminated all year outdoor menu board -- technically inaudible. Person on other end of said speaker, speaking into it-- personally inaudible, the personal experience was as interesting to translate. Without ordering from the value meal menu, I can see that I'm about to be dropping big dime to give these canes a go. A chicken is a Cane? And to put Raising in front suggests to me little more than a feeble attempt to Re word 'Not Frozen', I'm speculating here -- but lacks and sizzle of delivery and fair economical practice. This seething hot chicken piece is now burning an impression of itself into my non biodegradable styrophome container, and this is slightly alarming to me. A little personal live performance for me while here in my car parked in your tiny little lot. I'm cringing each time another happy customers headlights bounce past me from behind, as I watch from my rear view at the Raised second window drive thru. (It is on a bit of a perch) And seemingly narrowly evading a rear ending parking lot pile up, and beware the outer band of the drive thru track for those that miss it the first time -- quite the set up. The fries were just so darn tired, like double yo triple shifted fries falling asleep at the bus stop trying to go home, but too tired to even make an effort to move. Poor things gave up hours ago and almost began to appear translucent as you stare at them for a bit. I've never felt so badly for a food item before. I don't know why a piece of barely toasted buttered bread could take any part of any fast food meal. A cheap side ven for the folks waiting on two hour USSR breadlines in the 1960's -- 1970's. I got a dipping sauce, I'm rather sure I wasn't asked what variety of dipping sauce would I prefer -- so I must assume there was only one? What a disaster.

Justin P.

Yelp
Fast consistent service with made to order meals. Chicken and fries always hot and bread toasted with just the slight crisp for a nice crunch. One of the better sweet teas in town where you don't have to mix half sweet and half unsweetened to avoid a sugar overdose. Prices are on point for portion size and the consistency with the food is what brings me back. I usually have to salt the fries to my taste but other than that it's good food

R C.

Yelp
Maybe someone forgot to season the chicken but the Chicken fingers had ZERO flavor I really don't get what the hype is around this place. Maybe you just have to drown your chicken in their dipping sauce. I honestly felt even the sauce wouldn't save it. You couldn't pay me to eat here again. If you want to see what fried cardboard taste like try this place.

Cat T.

Yelp
I heard pretty good things about Canes so I got a caniac combo for dinner which consisted of 4 wings, fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and a drink. When I tried the food, it was okay, nothing special. The breading on the chicken was good but the chicken itself was over cooked and dry. The Cane sauce was good and made up for it. Coleslaw and roll were both delicious. However, the fries were bad SO MUCH salt on them that we couldn't even eat it. You could see that they dumped on huge amounts of salt, we had to rub down each fry if we wanted to eat it. Maybe this was just a bad experience at this one store, but I won't be coming back.

Amanda W.

Yelp
I like Cane's. The service is quick. The staff is usually pretty friendly. They only have a few menu options, but you can't go wrong with chicken fingers! The food is fresh & always tastes good. I love the toast & that Cane's sauce.

Evan G.

Yelp
Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston is one of my favorite places to go for chicken fried fingers in the area. They are well worth the visit for delicious food that is ready when you need it. The staff here is very friendly and works hard to make sure that you get your order fast and correctly.

Craig S.

Yelp
Hope you like Chicken Fingers! Because that's what they got... and it's a good thing... It's made when you order--quickly, and if you didn't already catch on, they only do chicken finger meals... Also, the food quality is really solid for fast food. It's lightly crispy and juicy chicken fingers with a great sauce. Some compare it to Zaxby's sauce, but I think it's better. The price is a little more than standard fast food, but also tastes better.

Miranda T.

Yelp
Stopped in to grab a quick bite on the way home, we don't live in the area so we try to stop in when we're nearby. My husband worked at this location for about 3 years and the restaurant has really changed a lot since then. When we went through the line, the girl who took our order started out by saying "What are you ordering?" Instead of the normal "Chicken chicken what combo are you picking" or even a reasonable "Hi, can I take your order?". After each item we ordered she kept quickly asking "Is that all you want?" So reasonably, we felt rushed. We get to the second window to get our food and realized we forgot to order an extra toast for our daughter, we asked the woman if we could purchase one really quick which is what? $0.75?? And she said "No, you can't order here." Um so basically I'm supposed to either get back in a 12 car drive thru or come inside to get one piece of toast that costs less than a dollar? I understand it was our oversight, since we were being rushed, but I've never seen a more unaccommodating staff. I wouldn't say this location is being run "The Canes Way". Not doing this looking for some kind of freebie, I just think they need to improve on overall professionalism. The food was piping hot and fresh so kudos there.

Kirsten C.

Yelp
JOHN!!! Took very good care of us and the whole staff was very patient with our big group during a very busy day. Management was amazing - made our experience amazing. Very thankful for their patience & accommodating us as we came from out of town.

Danielle P.

Yelp
Can never go wrong with a meal at Cane's! It is great for everyone. Our kids love to come here. The menu is small, but I like that. I am partial to the three finger combo. The fries are yummy and always hot and crispy. The Cane's sauce is superb. I use it for my chicken and fries. They also have a Cane's card. They do offers sometimes for free meals, free drink, etc....I would much rather have Cane's then Zaxby's hands down for the fingers, fries, bread, and sauce!

Catie S.

Yelp
This worker named John was so nice to us and ran out of the restaurant to give us our food! Me and my homies love John

Anno M.

Yelp
No idea why there is a following here. It's chicken fingers with a singular dipping sauce. The only sides are coleslaw and fries. You also get half of a hot dog roll as bread. It was just ok, nothing to go out of your way for.

Jeff H.

Yelp
The chicken here is great, but it's overpriced. I'm giving 4 stars because the chicken is real tender and plenty of white meat. And there are a ton of sauces to choose from. The Cole slaw here is awesome for a fast food joint too. But, I'm a picky eater and probably won't eat here again

Jenn S.

Yelp
Tasty chicken but in my opinion way over priced. $12.20 for a 6 piece tender meal with fries and a piece of toast they only have one flavor of sauce, theirs only 4 choices of combo meals.

Rosana O.

Yelp
It's a good for decent taste and service! But honestly zaxbys is a great alternative! Overall I have good customer service so the environment was ok.

Mary H.

Yelp
I love Canes drive 1.5 hours for this amazing treat. Highly recommend 2 locations in Charleston area

Anthony S.

Yelp
My wife and I were craving some chicken tenders the other night for dinner. We decided to go here because it is consistently good. When we walked in it looked clean with the exception of two tables that needed to be wiped down. We were greeted immediately. We ordered our chicken and received our meals within 5 minutes of ordering the food. The chicken tenders had a crispy outer layer of skin. The chicken itself was juicy and was tender white meat with very little fat on them. The fries that came with the meal were crinkle cut fries. They were bland at first but once we added some salt they were amazing fries. I also love the lightly toasted bread they serve, I always substitute my coleslaw for an extra piece of bread. Bottom line this place has quality chicken tenders. The food is very consistent in quality and taste. I personally believe that it is one of the better chicken fast food chains. This was not our first time eating here and it will not be our last. We will definitely continue to eat here.

Kimberly T.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are big Cane's fans, but we've only ever had it in Minnesota. My boyfriend gets major cravings for it, so when we found out there are a few Cane's locations in the Charleston area, we put it on the GPS and swung by! I've come to the conclusion that Raising Cane's is consistently amazing at any location whether it be in the North or the South. I will admit the service here was quicker because there was NO LINE at the drive thru of this location! That NEVER happens in Minnesota! We were the only car in the drive thru, and were quickly served crispy, hot, and fresh-out-of-the-fryer to us! We got extra fries instead of the coleslaw and these were wonderful as well! Cane's sauce paired with everything is always delightful. The one small downside of going through the drive thru is they never fail to put a TON of ice in the cups of soda. You don't get very much soda, and have way too much ice left at the end. I love you, Cane's! I hope you keep expanding and getting more locations!

Amanda A.

Yelp
I love this place so much. I'm from Florida so we don't have raising canes, every time I find one traveling I HAVE to stop.

Alex W.

Yelp
After six years of having lived in Tha Durty Souf, I finally decided to get this one out of the way. It, unfortunately, is what I expected it to be. Fries were flacid immediately upon getting them. One of the ketchups had sticky stuff, hopefully ketchup, all over the outside of it. Doesn't make me very optimistic about how they or anything else is stored. "Texas toast" resembled and tasted like a hot dog bun. Before finishing, what is with you people putting toast and fries in one meal? Chicken was fried evenly, yet still somehow only crunchy on the ends and soggy between them. Coleslaw was fine, I guess. Well, it's checked off the list. First time and last time.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Just went through the drive through and over the speaker we hear people using fbombs talking about orders, they took an inordinate amount of time to get us our order, and did not inform us there would be no ice in our drinks. Unfortunate, since our visits to the location near Isle of Palms are always fantastic.

Ashley T.

Yelp
This place is so awesome, now the menu is limited to just chicken but who doesn't love AWESOME chicken! You know those commercials that say we're not frozen & were fresh. This is the only fast-food restaurant that should actually have that commercial everything is perfect. Now you don't have to take my word for it but everything. Is awesome there except the coleslaw. Please never order the coleslaw unless you're a fan of it.. but then again I wouldn't want you to be disappointed just don't order it, I believe that their own employee don't even eat that stuff. But none the less make sure you check this fast food place out it's worth the stop. Also there's no salt on the chicken.. in case you're a health freak laughing out loud
