Best fried chicken in the U.S.! The chicken was perfectly crispy and tender, the sauce was delicious, and the fries were tasty too—though I wouldn’t mind a slightly larger portion. I also loved the bread! I hope they open a few more locations in the Detroit suburbs! Only a couple free 15 mins parking spots available in front of the restaurant

Google
The staff is super happy, joyous, and professional! It was a really good feel to be here, very friendly all the way around and the restaurant as shown with my imagines is very well kept with cool artwork! They play music to keep the vibes going! It’s a no smoking zone which we appreciate. The staff was also very accommodating to waiting even though I only waited for a couple minutes. They did apologize for the wait, which I said it’s totally cool!

Google
Chicken was great! Fries were great! Cane’s sauce is a must! I love getting half tea/half lemonade from here and the restaurant is currently serving leprechaun (green) lemonade! Busy place! Fast service! Two kiosks available to place orders as well as service at front counter! Plain and simple, always hot and good!

My name is My name.

Google
Very cramped place, people are literally walking all around you while eating. The food was unimpressive. Fries were not done, the chicken is even worse. The batter isn't fried hard or crispy, it completely comes apart after one bite. The best thing about my experience was the lemonade, toast and sauce.

Google
Food was good. A bit over priced. Coleslaw was bland. They were quick. The location is went to was annoying because there was no parking. Will eat Raising Cane's again.

I went to get some food, initially I wanted to do dine in but there were no seats so I made it to go. Ordered the usual box with lemonade. The tenders were salty and full of oil. I expected better, the fries wasn’t that good either. I won’t try it again.

Google
The chicken was great. The fries were super good! I picked this order up so I was a little disappointed that I didn't have a cup carrier as I had two drinks and just over half a mile to walk. I ordered a Sprite and a coke zero, I got a Sprite and a regular coke. Couldn't drink one of the drinks. Kind of a bummer. Be aware for any diabetics.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Totally worth the detour! I went out of my way to stop at Raising Cane’s while I was in Lansing, MI — and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, and that Cane’s Sauce? Elite. 🔥 I got the combo with fries and Texas toast, and washed it all down with a cold Diet Coke — perfection. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and everything was hot and fresh. I only wish there was a location closer to me because I’d be there way too often. Totally worth the drive. I’ll be back for sure!

Yelp
My fiance and I were in Lansing for work and definitely made a point to stop by Raising Cane's before hitting the road back to GR. I placed our order online, thankful that I was able to use Apple Pay on their site, and we stopped in ColdStone right next door. By the time we were out of ColdStone (about 10 mins), our food was ready! This location is on the corner of the street and has a walk up window. Super convenient! I was easily able to pick up our food without having to go inside. The food itself was hot and fresh. I ordered a Box combo and he got the Caniac combo and I actually got more pieces of chicken than he did! The chicken itself, flavor wise, could use a bit more seasoning but the Cane's sauce and the Texas toast definitely help it. The menu is very simple which makes it pretty easy to order. You basically decide how many pieces of chicken fingers you want or a sandwich haha. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back here for something quick to eat!

Yelp
First time at this location, but I've lived in Texas and it is nothing like what I'm used to. The fries were dried, the chicken was not crispy. The service was fast, but the staff is not as energetic and peppy as other locations. Would probably not be back any time soon to this location.

Yelp
Raising Cane's should win an award for best chicken fingers!!! The food is just IRRESISTIBLE! I love the red, classic look of the restaurant! It is a shame there is not one near me. The closest one is in Canton,MI-about half an hour away from me. The food is out so unbelievably quick. I'm not joking when I say it was out in less than a minute. I got the Box Combo, the perfect amount of food fit for me in a combo. The chicken is SO crispy making for the PERFECT breading. The fries have a great texture and taste sooooo good. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE TOAST! It tastes like Texas toast on another level! As someone who does not like sauces at all it is an honor to say I do not mind the canes sauce! However, 5 star food doesn't always come with 0 complaints. I really think they need to expand their menu. It feels like there is only 10 things to choose from... I know many vegetarians are not going to chicken fingers spots, but they did not put in any effort to include vegetarian options. There is only 3 THINGS that are vegetarian! I cannot be the only one who noticed, please take this into consideration when you're making changes. Aside from the amount of options, 5 star food! Keep it up Canes!!!

Yelp
My first time trying Raising Cane's! It was solid! The chicken itself was very juicy and served hot. The breading could have been crispier. The peppery tangy sauce, Texas toast, and coleslaw were all good. Fries were pretty salty. What takes this review down a little was the cleanliness. Location was pretty busy, and open tables were messy. The waiting area by the bathrooms had a bit of a smell and one of the two single use bathrooms was out of toilet paper.
google avatar

Jimmy N.

Yelp
No complaints about the taste of the food! Great addition to Michigan and they were pretty fast with my food! Only thing with this was that they forgot one of my pieces of toast! A little unfortunate but wasn't too mad about it! I'd recommend trying a raising canes if you haven't already!

Yelp
Just so happen to be in the area do came here for lunch. Just chicken fingers, chicken sandwich and fries on the menu. Chicken tenders are really good (more on the smaller side), fries are cool and cane sauce is famous. If you are chicken tenders only then this is your place.
google avatar

Patty O.

Yelp
Seriously so bad. I ordered it for pick up and they messed up quite literally everything I ordered. Didn't give me my water but gives me 4 sauces in replace for the waters. Everything lukewarm. Don't order and actually go in there or else they are just shoving stuff in the bag

Yelp
Fast food chain restaurant - it hit on all expectations. I was hungry and it was late. It was walking distance so enjoyed a chicken dinner. I cannot say winner, but it checked the boxes. I must have hit this at the moment all the college students had cravings as the line was long. Thankfully, it moved somewhat quickly.

Yelp
If you plan on coming to this location, I highly suggest coming at a reasonable time during the day because it does get very packed here. On the upside the food comes out pretty fast once you order, so you will just need a little patience and you will good to go. The chicken is always fresh and crispy, and ready to be dipped in the signature sauce.

Yelp
Cane's is the best. I have visited a few more times since the first review. I have now tried most of their menu, lol, since there are really only a few things to try. I understand why people are obsessed, we are too. This place is so good. On the way home the other day we stopped here for some dinners to take home since we do not live close by, but it re-heats very well. I have learned a few new things too. They design and decorate each Cane's differently depending on the location. This one is fun, has a great vibe, small, but there are usually spots to sit. We came earlier in the year for the Post Malone cups. During Christmas they had some fun merch I wish I bought. I have tried their sweet tea. It was some of the best sweet tea I have tasted. I also like their slaw, very creamy. But I heard you could get double toast, so this time I got a box with four strips, double toast, and fries. I love their toast, very slow, chewy, and flavorful. While the fries are not as crispy as Culver's or Shake Shack, they are solid fries and go well with the sauce. I also learned that you can get the meal deal boxes minus the drinks. The kids wanted a drink, but since I was doing a carry-out for later, I did not want mine, so they can take that part off and not charge you. As always, the people working here are pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Since this is a major household favorite, we will road trip back over here for more soon.

Yelp
I have always wanted to try Raising Cane's and I'm glad I did! It reminds me of Zaxby's. My chicken and Texas toast were really good and my fries were pretty good. What makes it is the Cane's sauce, which again is similar to Zax Sauce. I enjoyed my meal and would go back. The service was very quick and my food was hot! Casual feel. The restaurant was somewhat loud but was very busy. Recommend giving them a try!

Yelp
Pretty good chicken fingers. This location is on MSU's campus. Parking is a headache!!!! Pricing is expensive for any type of chicken now-a-days. Tenders were flavored and cooked to perfection. The fries were nice and hot. I especially enjoyed the special sauce. Service was quick and effortless. Clean inviting location outside of the parking situation. Can't wait until there are more locations in Michigan. Not gonna drive to East Lansing too often.
google avatar

Wai C.

Yelp
Fast friendly service and the chicken tenders were perfect, moist chicken and crispy batter!

Laurel N.

Yelp
Line out the door. Waited in line about 20 minutes. Staff were nice. Weird lock on restroom door, had to weave my way through the crowded people in line to go up front and ask for a combination code to get into the restroom. Chicken and fries were just okay. They were freshly cooked but very much on the bland side.

Neha V.

Yelp
The place is right in the heart of Grand River and opened last midnight which is great. The lines are long but the service is super fast. The chicken and fries itself it crispy but it doesn't really have much flavor. It's pretty bland chicken. The lemonade is pretty good and has more flavor than the chicken and fries.
google avatar

Maya C.

Yelp
First time trying Raising Canes! I tried to go a few times in SoCal, but the lines were too long. This is a new location and it looks like the staff are still learning, but people were polite and the food came out quickly. No wait at all. I don't usually review places until I eat there a couple of times. But, there is no disputing that the chicken is delicious!! Super tender, that was my first thought and all the pieces were tender. The other great quality is the crunch!! The flavor is also on-point. I like the sauce and the fries. I would probably get the four piece box next time to get the slaw as well. I don't live around here and I am already looking forward to my next round of golden, juicy, tasty chicken tenders!

Yelp
The first Raising Cane's in Michigan is open. I've heard of this chain but never tried it, so Nate and I stopped by this new East Lansing location recently. There was a line out the door, and a security guard managing the flow of entry. Once we got inside, the line snaked around the side of the restaurant. I think we only waited about 15 minutes in line. They do have a walk up window for mobile pickup orders, but the online ordering system said they were overloaded and we'd have to wait a little longer than usual. I didn't mind the line, but it was definitely crowded inside and a bit chaotic. They had only been open for about four days at this point, so it was understandable. We ordered the box combo, which comes with four tenders, crinkle fries, a side of Cane's sauce, a piece of Texas toast, coleslaw, and a drink. There was an employee calling out order names over a loud speaker which was really helpful as it was pretty noisy in there. It was super cramped in the restaurant with lots of people waiting and people looking for their mobile orders on a shelf near the pickup area for takeout or dine in. The orders were coming out steadily, and I had my food in about another 15 minutes. We decided to walk across the street to a picnic table since it was so crowded inside. Most of the chicken tenders were a good size but they weren't as crispy as I would have liked. One of the tenders was kind of small compared to the others. As far as fast food chicken tenders go, these were very good. They could have used more seasoning, and I didn't find the sauce to be that flavorful. The fries were salty and hot. I didn't try the coleslaw but Nate said it was okay, and the Texas toast was a little soggy. Overall this was fun to try but I don't need to run back any time soon.

Yelp
We ordered online 21 orders at 8:45 after our varsity ball team won the regional final on Thursday. It said 9:15, so we got there and it was ready 5 minutes early. All 21 orders correct with drinks etc. Hats off to them, and it was my first time. My kids went to MSU and say it's the best...it is the best. The toast, fried and chicken tenders with the sauce. Superb
google avatar

Alejandro M.

Yelp
They were out of coleslaw had to add extra fries, a bit bummed about that. Still, the strips came through, sauce was great. Not many strip places around so I was happy when work brought me close to Lansing. Spot is a bit tight, everyone was kinda crammed by the soda fountain waiting to get their order. They did have seating available. Service was good, didn't wait too long. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Raising canes is always on point and by far my favorite fast food restaurant I truley wish they had more locations in Michigan other than Lansing
google avatar

Gabriel B.

Yelp
Wanted to taste the hype lol. The service was okay. I can say a lot about the food but surprisingly the Chicken is the least I'm gonna talk about. The Texas toast was warm and soft and had a good toast to it especially when dipped in the Cane sauce. The fries were mediocre. Nothing too amazing and so was the chicken. The sweet tea was really good and refreshing. I'd say it's worth trying once or twice but not a lot of reason bringing me back to eat there.
google avatar

Chelsea D.

Yelp
Chicken was crispy (could've been crispier but we drove home with it so I'm sure that didn't help) and moist. Fries had a very strong potato flavor - yum. Sauce was good. Can't speak on the coleslaw because they forgot it. I would get this again. If you're not familiar with the area, yeah - parking sucks. It's always busy. It's right across from MSU. Don't come here if you aren't prepared for all that entails.
google avatar

Rashida K.

Yelp
It's okay - just fried chicken tenders - nothing amazing- but it is really fresh and not too salty. We were driving home and decided to check it out- no complaints BUT It's not a must have - it did not live up to the hype

Krampus M.

Yelp
My family and I have loved canes for years now and were glad to finally see one in East Lansing. However, we were at Canes for my youngest son Trevor's 9th birthday. While we were waiting in line the man in front of us farted (completely normal bodily function) but that wasn't the concerning part. The employee taking over jumped over the counter and proceeded to bury his nose in the man's rectum. He continued to beg for more and more farts that he could get a "little sniff" of. My children watched in horror as they couldn't believe what they were witnessing. Long story short we have signed up my children for therapy. I recommend the chicken sandwich to those who haven't tried it!

Abbey B.

Yelp
Writing this review to legit talk about the fries. it's a problem. They are always soggy but tn as I sit and eat them I can't even tell if they are cooked, get it together.

Andrew M.

Yelp
Went and got pickup last night, service everything seemed fine but I woke up feeling terrible and fighting my stomach. Really ended up getting food poisoning from Canes, I've been sick the entire day. Never going back to this place...
google avatar

Antony P.

Yelp
The food came out really fast for a college town, but the taste isn't the same. I've had Canes in Chicago and it just doesn't taste the same. There's flavor there but it not enough. The vibe was good tho I had a good time with my friends. Toast was amazing as usual though.
google avatar

Suraja I.

Yelp
The only Raising Cane's in Michigan-- worth the drive. In my opinion, better than Chick Fil A. It is a busy location being the only one and also on MSU's campus but overall, staff was super sweet too.

Kent B.

Yelp
Sauce is to die for! Apparently it's "inappropriate" and "unprofessional" and "you need help man" to wanna grab a little sniff of a ripe little toot??? I put 3 whole months into this establishment, during which I worked like a dog to produce high quality chicken strips, I always greeted everyone, customers and co workers alike with a smiling face, I even poured my heart and soul out to my 14 year old coworker, Samantha, while I was absolutely shitcocked on the job, telling her my whole life story and confessing my undying love for her. BUT NO, A CUSTOMER PASSES GAS ONE TIME AND I HOP THE COUNTER TO GRAB A LITTLE SNIFF, BUT BY THE TIME I GET MY NOSE UP IN THERE ITS GONE!! SO I BEG FOR JUST ONE MORE BECAUSE WHO WOULDN'T??? AND I GET FIRED FOR IT??? To hell with this place. Top tier dipping sauce though.
google avatar

Alex T.

Yelp
I have only had Cane's once before, over a decade ago in Columbus. After a nostalgia night in East Lansing, reliving some great memories from college with some great people, we ended up at Canes. We definitely beat the late night rush and didn't have to wait too long. The tenders were delicious as I remember them being. The fries and toast were also top notch. For late night food in East Lansing, Cane's is solid. I would assume it has become the replacement for some other frequented establishments that have left downtown East Lansing over the last few years. I'm very glad to see Cane's in a place that had been vacant for several years prior.

diana b.

Yelp
I ordered my food ahead and I understand it is a game day so I was okay with the food delay. What I do not understand is why did I order a Caniac combo and only receive 4 pierces of chicken?? I was supposed to split with someone and just got cheated out of my money. This was the biggest waste of my money and I am extremely dissatisfied with the service.

emma g.

Yelp
healing, i need it every day, i crave it, need a million in michigan asap !!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave V.

Yelp
Fast service, but it's overpriced and under-flavored. Plus this is the WORST location! Zero parking and all the ambiance of a typical corporate chain (that is to say virtually none). Skip the hype. Go to KFC or Popeye's instead. Better food, lower prices, and actual parking spots.
google avatar

Kourtney A.

Yelp
THE BEST CHICKEN TENDERS IN THE USA. Their sauce is perfect, chicken is perfect, ice is perfect it's just all perfect. Oh the Texas toast dipped in the sauce is next level. They have a cool disco ball in the center of the restaurant that is pretty cool. There's not much more that can be said, do you love a good chicken tender? With amazing dipping sauce? Then this is your place.

E. C.

Yelp
Way overpriced and very limited menu (4 choices), NOT WORTH IT, food was like cafeteria chicken fingers. Don't bother keep driving .

Bone K.

Yelp
Food chicken strips was okay but we didn't get fries and the wait was ridiculous line was out the door no place to sit and eat tables was dirty
google avatar

Willard A.

Yelp
Hats off to the marketer of this restaurant. They managed to get hundreds of people to wait in line for chicken tenders. The problem is they are waaaaaay overpriced. Same prices as chic fil a without the food quality and restaurant cleanliness. May have been the fact it was in East Landfill, Michigan. I would eat it again if it was free.

Katherine J.

Yelp
A great place to go if you want to get food poisoning. Very disappointing as I used to love this place.

Brian P.

Yelp
Raising Canes greets you as soon as you enter the building and the food came out fresh and quick! Customer service is amazing and they make sure you have everything with your order.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
Once again, Cane's doesn't disappoint. I'm from Missouri, so I was excited to hear that one of my favorite fast food places from home was opening a Michigan location. As always, the food is fresh, the workers are polite, and the orders are accurate. Great place to eat near the bars or take home and enjoy.

Amy C.

Yelp
I'm an asian women and the guy behind me called me a chink and an asian bitch bc I was asian LOL. The security heard our conversation and proceeded to kick us out because I was standing up for myself for being asian. I'm from Las Vegas and I never had this experience with canes for my whole life living there but I guess the mid-west is kind of different. I wouldn't recommend this place the food is okay but the service is not good. I got denied bc I stood up for myself because of the guy behind me who called me a chink and they said "I was causing a scene" and I had to get out after he heard the whole thing. Overall a very ignorant not friendly place in my experience.

Sarah E.

Yelp
I love chicken fingers, they're honestly part of the reason I'm not vegetarian anymore, so I had to try Raising Cane's when a location came to the area. I have to say, the chicken falls in my top 3 favorite places taste wise. My whole experience though was ruined by how loud the music was. I have a sensitivity to loud noise and with how loud the music was, I actually had to put headphones and and plays some quieter music, which is something I don't like to do when I'm out. I also had a really hard time understanding what the staff was saying at check out and I barely heard my name called to get my food. I would love to go back, but not until something is done with the music.

Megan P.

Yelp
Your average fast food chicken- the sauce was good but definitely not given enough. Chicken and fries were basic but the bread was great!

Steven B.

Yelp
I'm sorry I don't get it. I love chicken fingers and as such I went to Raising Cane's to see what the fuss was all about. They were ok but I just don't get the hype. The fingers were fine but I just don't get why anyone would fall all over themselves to get them. And the dipping sauce, I just don't get it. It's fine but nothing to write home about. The Texas toast was the highlight, which is sad. I just can't imagine standing in a line longer than 2 minutes for this stuff. Sorry, not sorry. All of that said, the staff was very friendly for a fast food joint. So there is that.

Megan G.

Yelp
Who in their right mind has a chicken tender place and doesn't have ranch. Genuinely so disappointing I will never eat there again. Canes sauce sucks

Mark B.

Yelp
Absolute worst chicken I've ever tried, was not evenly breaded or cooked consistently either. The bread on the other hand was very nice also the coleslaw was great even though I don't usually order it. Chicken -23/10 zero flavor cooked like trash, bread 5/10 decent, sauce and soda machine that never get the syrup refilled -12/10

Some G.

Yelp
Gotten food here three times in total, with different impressions each time. First experience was a full five star, crispy chicken fingers with a tasty sauce. The fries and toast were freshly made, while the coleslaw was delicious! Absolutely no complaints, would happily return. They nailed their Michigan grand opening. Second experience was still a five star foodwise, but unfortunately their soda machine broke down, dispensing flat sugar water. The staff were well aware of this, but still offered fountain drinks. I didn't know till it was too late and left with a flat coke, slightly depressed. Third experience was amusing. The coleslaw in my takeout was mildly rancid in taste, and thrown away after one spoonful. The fries were stale, though the chicken fingers and sauce remained delicious. Funny enough, at the counter I ordered extra coleslaw, but the employee managing the register didn't seem to hear me and didn't add it to my order. She accidentally saved me from paying extra for another cup of coleslaw I likely would have thrown away!

Conor H.

Yelp
texas toast is the best thing about the place, canes sauce is good but not as good as people say it is and chicken is fresh and fries are very good. very good service and workers are nice

riley m.

Yelp
First time trying this place, it wasn't busy when we went so we got our food very quick. The sauce is very good, and the bread of very soft. The chicken was very good also.
