"None of that history matters for Raising Cane’s, the Louisiana-based chicken fingers chain that pulled off a gimmick last week in suburban Chicago. Canes lured Vacation star Chevy Chase to Morton Grove to film a commercial alongside chain founder Todd Graves. Their mission? To recreate a classic movie scene where Chase, Clark Griswold, blinds his neighbors with a ridiculously bright Christmas light display." - Ashok Selvam

Google
I always enjoy going to Raising Cane's Best Chicken Fingers when I go to the US. Chicken is crispy and tender and comes with a tasty sauce for dipping. We got take-out: The Box Combo, which is 4 chicken fingers, crinkle fries, coleslaw, texas toast, and a drink. Service was great and there is plenty of seating if you dine-in.

Google
Hot, fresh, friendly service and quick!! We love Canes and this location is one of the best ones we have been to!

Google
This was my first time ordering from Raising Cane's, and there was some hype around coming because so many people have mentioned this place. I had high hopes, but the food was okay. I liked the chicken sandwich, but the fries lacked temperature and amount. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but I wasn't blown away.

Google
Service and atmosphere is good but the chicken is meh. Too oily and no flavor

John Elliot

Google
Chicken is always fresh and delicious

Google
I absolutely love canes you never have to wait more than 5 mins to be in and out of there. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is so fun. The chicken tenders and sauce are a match made in heaven.

Google
Raising Cane does one thing and they do it well…. fried chicken. Breading is nice and light, not too heavy. Fries were decent. Texas toast is a little odd but still good. The soda machine dispenses pebble ice which is a great change of pace. If they had cream soda it would be 👌.

Google
I must say that this restaurant is very clean very friendly very helpful I watched this young man Gareth white each table down with its own wipe then wipe the chairs down with its own wipe This is an example of how a restaurant should be cleaned for the public to use my first time here

Yelp
I really don't get the appeal, but my kids and all their friends are obsessed. My son asked if I could doordash it for his sleepover this past weekend. I agreed before realizing that they don't deliver via doordash, grubhub or uber eats (ugh). I placed an order online for curbside checkout and drove the 18 minutes for fried chicken that I personally don't think is any better than chick-fil-a. When i arrived all the curbside parking spots were taken so I found myself a normal spot and made my way inside. There must have been 150 people inside and the drive thru line was insane. Clearly my kids aren't the only Canes fans in the North Shore. I grabbed bags of food, filled up the fountain drinks and made my way home to do very happy Cane's lovers. They demolished it within 2 minutes and thanked me profusely. While i don't plan to drive to Cane's again anytime soon the smiles on their faces were worth it (kind of).

Yelp
Really like this location. It's quite busy at times, but the staff is nice. And when you sit on the patio, you get to smell the yummy fry oil. I had a small two piece with fries. Plenty for me and the canes sauce is addictively yum - peppery and rich.

Jason C.

Yelp
Your typical Raising Cane's joint. The ordering moved fast and your food came out fast, so the service here was a lot better than other locations that I've visited. The food itself was decent, the tenders were good however the garlic bread was hard and not as buttery as other joints and it tasted/looked like it was sitting around too long. Yeah, shouldn't gotten the extra order of the garlic bread as after one bite, it went to the trash.

Yelp
Overall this place was really good. I love how it is easy to order because there is just chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, and fries. Their chicken fingers are amazing! They are crispy and delicious. Their sauce is good; pretty basic but I definitely enjoy it. Their crinkle fries are so good and addictive and each serving comes with a lot of fries. Their chicken sandwich is just a couple chicken fingers on a bun so it is pretty good but nothing special. Their Texas toast is really good and I love putting fries, a piece of chicken finger and their sauce in the toast. All of the flavors together are so delicious. Their only downside is their coleslaw. It didn't taste good.

Yelp
Ain't nobody cluckin' with my chicken Quick stop at Raising Canes because we just can't resist their chicken and sauce honestly even the bread is addicting! I can't remember the last time we ate inside a Cane's because we tend to go through the drive thru usually but honestly it's so nice eating in here! The vibe is always so fun and I love the music they play inside it's fun to eat here:) The service was definitely very fast!

Natalie H.

Yelp
Cane's is hands down my favorite fast food and this location hasn't disappointed me yet. I don't get it super often but when I do, the chicken is always piping hot and fresh and so are the fries. The 3 tender combo is kind of a lot for me, so I usually order the kids meal with an extra tender. The first time I tried the sauce I wasn't too sure about it but I've grown to love it and am now obsessed!

Rod D.

Yelp
raising canes Hass to be the best fast food fried chicken strip place out there. Their strips are way better than Popeyes or KFC or even Chick-fil-A. The food I order and receive is always consistent and flavorful. I've actually never eaten inside a canes, so I cannot really speak to the service of the dining experience, but every time I've ordered through the drive-through the experience has been nothing but good almost every time I've gone to canes the drive-through line has been pretty easy to maneuver, and I've never had any mistakes on any of my orders. Make sure to sign up for their Caniac program where they have special offers every so often

Yelp
I finally got a chance to visit this establishment. From the time I ordered and paid to the time I filled my drink, the three-piece finger chicken meal was ready. The only way that could happen is if they had a pile fried up ready to go. The white chicken meat was tender but wasn't that particularly special. The sauce is interesting, but I guess this place is famous for their sauce. The fries were soggy, probably prepared a few hours prior and perhaps the volume of people were not as high as they anticipated. There was a ton of people working in there but only 1/5 of the restaurant was filled people. The service was very attentive, so no fault there. When people left, the employees would promptly clean the space and be ready to take another customer. The sweet tea is okay. When I compare it to a place like Popeyes, I think Popeyes was the old formula was better than this establishment. Again, this is my preference, nothing more than that. Even the new Popeyes formula, I don't like as much. From a service perspective, I think this place was very fast. It's built for velocity and if it gets busy they get here in the way. But that means they probably cook things and leave it sitting around. Hoping that the volume picks up. And as you know for fried foods, this doesn't work well. I would say this is probably a tween type place that's an alternative to the popular Chick-fil-A but seems to draw younger families. Would you like fried food, and you go at a time when they freshly make the food and you like the batter and the sauce then this place is for you. You. Otherwise I'm not sure this is all that special for my tastes

Yelp
It's only been a year since my last review, but the Box combo (4 chicken fingers, Texas toast, fries, coleslaw, sauce, and drink) is now almost $12. The inflationary headwinds continue to blow on. The menu is very focused and basically comprised of the elements in the aforementioned combo. Today was the first time I dined in here, and the dining area is clean, energetic, and colorful. Lots of funky wall decor to look at, in addition to 3 disco balls. I immediately noticed the high adrenaline playlist here. "Eye of the Tiger" and "Barracuda"? It's the kind of pump up music that puts you into beast mode and has you wanting to lace up your shoes and do some fast sprints... or inhale a bunch of perfectly crisp, fresh chicken. I can assure you I did 1 of the 2... The 2 finger kids' meal comes with fries, drink, and a toy. It's a 2-sided puzzle these days. Fun for my little ones!

Curtis S.

Yelp
The food was good but I was not given enough Cane's sauce. I will go to Chik Fil A for lemonade from now on due the woman wanting to charge for a refill tha Chik Fil A offers for free.

Yvonne Y.

Yelp
online ordering is easy. Chicken tenders are good and you just need to not expect them to be crispy. We got the tailgate box and it came with 8 sauces in a styrofoam container.

Pat C.

Yelp
We entered the restaurant. We were greeted by the manager Mark and the clerk. We had a conversation with Mark and told him it was Quincy Birthday who is turning 10. Mark took the time to talk to Quincy and made all of us feel very welcome. We told him that Quincy picked out raising Cane for his birthday meal. He smiled and said his meal was on him. He made Quincy day. He also came back out and gave Quincy some goodies. We have always been treated nicely when we ate at this location. His staff is a reflection of the management. Thank you so much for making my nephew's day. You and your staff are awesome.

Pablo P.

Yelp
The fries are good and the toast is good and the sauce is good but the tenders are mid af there are better places to eat overhyped

Luis F.

Yelp
Very disappointing, I ordered a 'box combo' which is 4 chicken tinders, toast, coleslaw, and fries. Well, I didn't get any toast or coleslaw. I also asked for Louisiana hot sauce and they didn't have any. It definitely ruined my experience and appetite ordering from here. I paid full price for a horrible experience.

Victor S.

Yelp
Amazing team! Thanks to patty! Supper attentive and outgoing! Clean place and good music

Phil S.

Yelp
I was driving by & I was hongry so I stopped in. Not the first time I had been at @ Raising Cane. I got 4 chicken tenders w/honey mustard. The tenders were a quick easy meal. NO FRIES & NO SODA. Just the tenders. Nothing note worthy but they satiated my hunger

Brooke S.

Yelp
I placed an order online and when I received my order every single item was wrong. Every single box had coleslaw and no extra toast was in there as well as the extra sauce I paid for.

Selma L.

Yelp
It's been a minute since we have had Raising Canes in general and I had remembered it to be just,"OK" Nonetheless this experience was so much better. While it was drive through only, the line moved very quickly and efficiently. The service was friendly and our food was piping hot. While the tenders are on the small side, they were crispy and had the right amount of breading. The chicken wasn't too salty and the seasoning was unique and had a nice subtle peppery flavor. The sauce is super unique. Creamy and smokey. Definitely ask for extra sauce!!! The fries while ample, were very soggy. They do give the nice ketchup that is squeeze and dip to make the fries a little better. The garlic bread was really tasty, again not too salty which I appreciate. The coleslaw had nice crunch and had a good creamy sweetness. I never eat coleslaw but this one got eaten!! Lastly the lemonade while sweet tasted very true to homemade lemonade flavor. All in all, definitely one of the better fast food options I have eaten lately and worth trying this location!!!

Yelp
I stopped by last night at 9:45pm and was pleasantly surprised to learn that the dining room was open until midnight. Most restaurants in the area close at 9pm or 10pm. So I order the 6 piece chicken nugget combo meal. 6 pieces only came with two small sauces, I asked for an extra sauce and was told it was an extra .41...seriously? I spent $18 on this combo meal and they want an extra .41 - ok , I paid it - no problem, it's not the extra coins, it's really the principle but anyways, the chicken was crisp and tender and that's the most important thing...4 Stars...

Dan M.

Yelp
I was at canes in Morton grove . It was my first time, it will be my last tin. Everyone I have spoken to said to me they really like it. so I had to finally had to try it. The chicken fingers were greasy , the breading was falling off. The fries were to salty. It was a awful lunch.

Nee E.

Yelp
One of the best menus in chicken restaurant it's bit pricy but it's worth it every dime give a try

Gabi W.

Yelp
Raising Cane's chicken and fries is a go to for me. While they are on the more expensive side for a fast food restaurant, their quality of chicken is excellent. The combos come with fries and bread, some even with cole slaw. Definitely recommend this if you are looking for a delicious and fast meal to go.

Diablo L.

Yelp
My new favorite place to get chicken fingers, love the sauce and the sides that come with the chicken , fries , texas toast and coleslaw

Shane M.

Yelp
I will never understand the hype around this place. Who over the age of 7 years old is ordering chicken tenders. You all are complete weirdos for being so obsessed with a restaurant because they have some good sauce. The sauce is decent but I still just don't get how this place is as popular as it is in America. Americans are so weird. Kids meal spot

Leslie A.

Yelp
Came here for the first Time on a Sunday about an hour after opening. This is also during Covid time. Since this place open and there has been nonstop long lines in the drive-through and no parking in their parking lot. We ordered 26 piece combos and one three-piece combo and tried out the sweet tea. The fries are ok. The Texas toast has no seasoning and no flavor and seems to just be a piece of bread. the canes sauce is quite unique and tasty. The chicken tenders themselves were quite crispy large in size and the batter was just the right amount and not too thick and not too thin. Overall very pleased with the chicken which really is the main attraction. The sweet tea I was very pleasantly surprised was not overly sugary and I'd like it that way. I would definitely return however I would only order the family trays of chicken tenders as I can do without the sides as they are mediocre.

Alan E.

Yelp
I've been a fan of this place since my 20-something daughter turned me on to it. The quality of the food is always on the nose, particularly for fast food. I've been in the food service industry for 40+ years, so I like to think I know what I'm talking about. What I'd really like to call out here is the service- granted, I only dealt with 3 employees (drive-thru), but they were all extremely personable and friendly! As someone who eats fast food once or twice weekly, this was a very pleasant surprise! I just felt that your company and the employees involved should be highly commended. Thank you for the positive experience.

Susan C.

Yelp
Get the Caniac Card because occasionally free items are loaded on it. Tonight we split the 4 piece box combo. Plenty of food for 2 seniors. Only bad thing is the music was blaring crazily. Otherwise, staff very friendly.

Nancy B.

Yelp
Canes is outrageous expensive for 4 pieces I don't think I will order from cane again

Kat V.

Yelp
Went to Raising Canes on a Friday for a quick dinner and was greeted at the drive thru with a "heeeey you want some chicken?" Obviously that's what we're there for. Started ordering and there was cackling coming from the intercom. We drove to the first window, 1 guy and 2 girls were standing there. The guy greeted us and took payment. The blonde and brunette complaining about how they're ready to go. Outstanding. I can see why we were greeted this way at the drive thru. Went to the second window and they got our name wrong. Luckily the order was correct for us, but as we waited in line we heard they had the incorrect order for the guy in front of us. I understand teenagers need to work, but please let's teach them customer service and how to be professional. McDonald's has better customer service. I'd rather go to a different canes from now on.

Stacey W.

Yelp
Ordered a tailgate tray of chicken tenders as well as a party tray of fries, which is 5 orders of fries. The chicken tenders were good and the fries as well. There was plenty of raising canes dipping sauce to go around as well.

Sonia B.

Yelp
I definitely like Raising Cane's better than another popular chicken establishment in the area. I like that the menu is simple, short, and sweet. Chicken tenders, chicken tender sandwich, fries, drinks. Haha. Doesn't get simpler than that. The only decision you really have to make is how many tenders you want! The tenders are cooked perfectly and flavored nicely. A box combo includes tenders, fries which are good, Texas toast....LOVE, and a drink. I love places that have fresh lemonade...and theirs is tasty. Haven't had any issues with order or drive through service. Will be back and happy to have them in the area!

Kate H.

Yelp
Drive-through review. This is a balance of the quality and the experience. Stopped with some friends on a Saturday night. We tried to park and go in, but a sign on the door indicated they were doing drive-through only (presumably due to staffing issues). We were on a timeline and thought it would be faster to just get in the drive-through line rather than try to find another option. The line wrapped completely around the building once, and it took us a total of 40 minutes to get our food. The design of the parking lot/drive-through system is horrible. The chicken itself was good, though nothing extraordinary. All they do is chicken fingers, so all you really have to decide is how many you want. It was a good flavor, and the sauce that comes with them is pretty good, it just wasn't anything extraordinary. The fries were similarly fine. I also got a soda that was packed with ice-I could barely get the straw in because it was so dense with ice. In turn, that meant very little actual soda, which was disappointing. Overall, it was fine, though the drive-through situation was ridiculous. I'd be willing to try again if I could go in and order and try it that way.

Bobbie-jo D.

Yelp
Staff tonight were so friendly, super fast service. Food was hot and delicious. Loved the raising canes sauce. Atmosphere was a vibe with teens having fun and a disco ball with good music.

Padma A.

Yelp
quick fast-food ...we got the chicken tenders and chicken burger both mediocre . We got the meal orders with free drinks.

David R.

Yelp
I had never heard of this place before they opened, and chicken tenders are not high on my list of indulgence foods, but given all the hype I figured that I may as well check it out. It turns out that the chicken is really, really good--not the ultimate best, but really good. Unfortunately, the fries, texas toast, and cole slaw are totally mediocre, so overall the meal falls flat. Their special sauce is nice, but I have a whole refrigerator full of barbecue sauces that I prefer. So at the end of the day, it boils down to a three-star experience for me. I'm glad that others like it, but I can't see myself becoming a regular. A major point in their favor is value: the box combo is a big filling lunch for only eight bucks plus tax.

Tommy B.

Yelp
Yesterday I went to the drive-up window and ordered the four piece chicken nuggets meal, which comes with fries, coleslaw, toast and a drink plus the special sauce. I'm always too busy to sit in the restaurants and eat, so the drive-up windows are my lifeline to good, hot meals. This place is very busy but it's also very efficient, especially the drive-up window service. It's Good food here..

fallon a.

Yelp
i just love canes so much. no one can change my mind about this ever. i could drink their sauce and use it for every meal ever if i could. it's so good. their chicken is always crispy and fresh and hot and so is the toast. the fries are really salty and good. i just love canes i crave it every moment i live. this one is dempster is the canes closest to me so i come here often, and i love it. they always do a great job, employees are kind, my food is always hot and amazing. i love you canes

Yelp
Being that I work nearby, it made my day seeing that there would be a Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers built within this plaza. It has been well over a decade since I have eaten at one of its locations which was in Columbus Ohio where I lived at the time. With it being fresh to the area, business appears to be flowing in because there aren't any restaurants in the area that can compare to its vibe. And I love that it has the double drive-thru feature which is similar to a McDonald's. Cane's has its own parking lot which sits in the plaza with other businesses. As I share this, the plaza currently has a Kohl's, Dollar Tree, Starbucks, Bank of America, and Aspen Dental which consistently has visitors coming in-and-out. As for the menu, there are basically four combinations to choose from: the box combo (4 chicken fingers), the 3 finger combo, the caniac combo (6 chicken fingers), and the sandwich combo which is basically 3 chicken fingers made into a sandwich. And if you have children, they do have the kids combo (2 chicken fingers). I ended up ordering the box combo which comes with 4 chicken fingers, fresh crinkle cut fries, texas toast, coleslaw, and a drink. My food smelt wonderful! Served fresh and it was most definitely delicious! Very organized process going through the drive-thru. After ordering at the speaker there is the payment window, and the pickup window which both acknowledged who I was. And on top of that, the employees were friendly in spite of the restaurant being a hot commodity to the area right now. All in all, a pleasant ordering experience at Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

Howard L.

Yelp
I came back, this time for a promotional Box Combo lunch. You get one of these if you join their Caniac Club. So yes, we do take advantage of promotions if there aren't too many hoops involved, and there weren't in this case. I did the self-recommended good practice and came at prime time - today being weekday 12:30pm lunch time. Drive-thru was quite busy and the Box Combo was fresh and hot and consistent with my first visit. Raisin' Raising Cane's (pun intended) a Yelp star to 4 stars - gotta say their Amazon-like speed handling the drive-thru traffic was impressive, and I told 'em so too!

Daniel G.

Yelp
I don't know if I've had Raising Canes in the past, so I didn't really know what to expect. With that said, my expectations weren't super high, so I was really happy with my experience here. The service was pretty quick, and my meal was delicious. The chicken was so hot and fresh and tasty. The chicken was cooked well and the batter was nice and crispy. The fries were really good too, and the texas toast was decent. If I was ever in the mood for fried chicken, this would be a really cheap and easy option. Definitely would come back.

Connie K.

Yelp
Hubby and I decided to get Raising Cane's for lunch on a Saturday. I went a little before noon and there was only one car in front of me in the drive-thru. By the time I got my food and left there was a line slowly accumulating. However, since the menu is small it seemed to move pretty fast. Hubby and I shared the Caniac Combo (6 chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw, 2 cane's sauces, Texas toast and a large drink). We live pretty close to Raising Cane's but both the chicken and the fries were soggy by the time of consumption. The chicken was just okay and not worth the hype in my opinion. Overall, the meal was unmemorable and we would much rather have a chicken sandwich from Popeye's if we're in the mood for a fast food type of fried chicken.

Sigmund K.

Yelp
My wife and I were pretty excited that this was opening up, so we were a bit disappointed with what we got. We ordered The Caniac combo meal to split between the two of us. The chicken wasn't as crispy as I had hoped and the breading was falling off a bit, but still decently juicy. The fries were a little soggy but I read another review saying that you can ask them to make them extra crispy. The Texas toast was probably my favorite part of the meal. I don't really get the hype for the Cane's sauce though; it was good but not amazing. A few friends told me the Rogers Park location is better, and another friend gave me a protip to open the takeout box after picking it up so the steam doesn't make the breading all soft. I'll probably try it again somewhere down the line after they've settled in more and work out the kinks.

Jack S.

Yelp
Food is eh. Personally think Chic-Fil-A is better. Because it just opened I spent 30 minutes waiting in the drive through line. Very unclear that ordering inside is an option. Marketing scam that they charge for extra sauce - shouldn't that be a given? I paid an extra $2 for 6 tiny cups of sauce and I didn't even receive them!!! And, there was a 2cm long bone in my chicken tender!! Why do chicken tenders have bones in them???? Almost cracked my tooth. Dangerous, deceitful, go to Chic-Fil-A. Disappointed. Security directing drive through traffic is also a joke. Don't even know what they're doing. Canes is overhyped. Glad I didn't bite into their marketing scheme. Didn't even label the difference between sweetened and unsweetened ice teas. They only sell those and lemonade!!!!! Do not go here.

Julie B.

Yelp
First time here, and can say it's pretty good. Chicken is moist and the sauce that everyone mention is pretty good,, even the bread with garlic (I'm not a bread garlic person) is delicious. I took off a star cuz they forgot the coleslaw:( I was so ready for a full menu experience, instead of coleslaw i gor extra bread :/ I'll come again for sure, found a new spot to get chicken :)

Maria S.

Yelp
Tastes like boiled chicken with soggy breading that flaked off. If you want crunchy chicken with flavor, skip this place. Even the fries were flavorless.

Brianna P.

Yelp
Not a ton of variety in the menu but that sauce is great! Go for the sauce. Maybe get fries later when you could eat them there, hot and fresh. The slaw is kind of sad and soggy. Just order chicken with dipping sauce.

Joani O.

Yelp
My family likes Cane's chicken tenders but the Rogers Park location can be hard to get into when you're driving since it's on busy Sheridan Road. Their food is good though, so it was smart to open this location with a drive thru. They've only been open for a month and due to the pandemic with restaurants not having done in, there seems to always be a line. We order ahead and our order is ready when we get there. If you like chicken tenders and fries (theirs have good days and bad) you will like Raising Cane's since that's all they serve, along with their version of Texas toast and cole slaw, both of which are ok.

Susie Q.

Yelp
Meh. True, this place's chicken is so hyped up. It was really disappointing. I got the kids meal. Not all that hungry. It included a soda, 2 chicken fingers and fries. I did not care for the fries. Some found the garbage. As for the chicken, it was okay. I did not like the fact that the actual chicken fell apart. Well, that is me. Most likely would not return to any Canes.

Carolyn T.

Yelp
Less than impressed Very pricey And they forgot to put fries in one of my orders Would not go out of my way to go bsck
