I did not eat here, as I ordered my food to eat at work. But the place seemed nice, albeit a bit dark.
People seemed nice - I was picking up my food, and one of the employees here handed it to me - she was friendly with a smile.
Food was good, but nothing what I call awesome - its like eating at Chick-Fil-A; its a good sandwich/chicken, better than McDonald's but not mind blowing. Breaded chicken was well cooked, had decent herbs and spices, not hot at all, and was mildly good. Just not awesome good. Keep in mind, my benchmark to chicken fingers is the place nearby the federal prison in downtown Chicago - a place called Mickey's Chicken. It has either closed or is owned by someone else, so it lost its appeal, just like the burgers from that place called Pepper's, which was owned and run by an Asian couple, they retired and now run by someone else, which isn't bad, but ain't the same.
Bread was okay, cole slaw was good, but they are just run-of-the-mill sides that seem to come from foodservice companies, like US Foods or GFS. Drinks were as good as you can get from generically run franchises. Among the best, however, are places that mix the syrup with the seltzer water, like that spot that used to (maybe still there?) in the Museum of Science and Industry in southern Chicago.
It's a good place, and reliable, so I'll be coming back when I have a taste for chicken fingers, when at work. At home, its a PITA when traveling to either the locations in Evanston, Mt. Prospect, or Shaumburg/Rolling Meadows metroplex.
