If you want fast food, Raising Canes has really good combos consisting of fried chicken, sauce, fries, and their 20/10 bread. It’s also the only Raising Canes in Oregon.

Google
Delicious chicken fingers with nice staff and a convenient location located at Pioneer Place's food court. They offer a limited menu but the chicken and the famous sauce are very tasty. The location was very clean with lots of seating space. Price was very reasonable. It's definitely a better option than KFC or McDonald's

I was excited to give this a try since I’ve heard good things from people but idk, I found it kind of underwhelming. The chicken is pretty decent and juicy, the lemonade is alright, I don’t like the crinkle cut fries-very bland and cardboard-like. The person at the counter was also very….shall we say “surly”, it felt very odd. The place is sort of Al aesthetic nightmare gumbo of kitsch which is usually something I’m all about but something about it feels uncanny and forced. I dunno I just didn’t have the chicken religious experience everyone I’ve talked to assured me I would have. It wasn’t AWFUL but I probably wouldn’t make a point of going here again.

Came in after my friend had a great experience in their Singapore location. We sat at the bar and ordered dumplings, book choy and noodles. All were great and delicious. Drinks were solid too. We tried the dessert dumplings and recommend skipping - they weren’t that exciting and not that good. Overall a consistent and good dinner if you’re looking for some solid noodles.

First off, the sauce hard carries. The mellow pepper compliments the chicken so well that I was honestly surprised. The breading was fine. The layer of breading was something to be desired, but I digress. The crispy side of the bread was good, and the fries were 3.9. Still good food overall. Some of the best fast food I've ever had, would recommend. The sweet tea was also a good mellow drink.

I usually love Cane’s, but this time I was really disappointed. There was a miscommunication at the cashier — I asked for 25 chicken fingers, but the person at the counter heard 24. When I picked up my order, I noticed the mistake and told them, and they corrected the bill To get the 25 finger offer. I didn’t mind the initial mistake — things happen However, when I opened the box , I found only 22 chicken fingers. I paid for 25, but received only 22. Normally, being short by one or two might not be a big issue, but this time the chicken fingers were divided among a group of friends. The food wasn’t enough, and it caused me some embarrassment in front of them. I hope Cane’s takes more care with order accuracy in the future

Google
Great chicken strips. The sauce is outstanding and tastes superb along with the texas toast. We drove all the way from Seattle. Hopefully they will open a location closer soon.

I've never been before and finally got around to trying it. I love their dipping sauce, it's peppery and delicious! The rest is just ok. Not bad, but not good either. I would eat there again if it was the only decent option near me, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Google
I use DoorDash to have three combo meals delivered along with some extra cane sauce. I got only ONE out of three meals delivered And it has clearly been sitting around for a while. Everything was mushy looking. The chicken is tiny and not crispy. The fries look anemic, also mushy. I’ve had canes at other locations that were fantastic. This one SUCKS.
google avatar

Dan I.

Yelp
I think this is the only canes in Portland, so it is good. 6 piece combo is 17$ while 4piece combo is 11$ so think about that I guess? The ambience is okay it's a food court so lots of seating. The service is good and nice will be coming back since it's the only raising canes.
google avatar

Waylette T.

Yelp
I think its about time I do a Cane's review. I try to shy away from reviewing corporations HOWEVER every last few visits has been a miss, no matter the timeline or city, it's just gross. What I can say... it's a snooozee for me Once again for the umphteenth time, I stood in Canes line really because of the price especially in the area it's located (Eating out Downtown Portland is pricey for no reason). Yess I was hungry, and its def was not for the hype. Hour later I am on le toilet with le runs per usual.

Yelp
Brief Summary: - Crispy crust that is seasoned just right (not salty) - Refreshing coleslaw An early disclaimer that I didn't go to the restaurant and ordered this myself, so I'm skipping the restaurant and the ordering experience. The dish we ordered was the set with chicken, some fries, and coleslaw salad that came in two containers. A pleasant surprise for me was how crispy and juicy the chicken tender was. I had an initial negative impression when I first looked at the chicken tender because the crust tend to grow salty near the last few bites. This one was different, the saltiness was just right. I also loved how refreshing the coleslaw was. It balanced out in between bites.

Yelp
Long line, toasty toast, crunchy chicken and bomb sauce...Is it worth it? My family votes yes. My son has been asking to go to Raising Canes ever since he found out there was one in Portland. We decided to make the trip this Veterans Day. We took the train from Hillsboro, ate a delicious meal and stopped by the Nike store to top it off. The long line is a testimony to how amazing the chicken (and sauce) are. Luckily the line moves fast and the smile on my son's face was totally worth it!

Yelp
Not my favorite fried chicken. It was just ok. Not very flavorful or crispy. I can tell it's popular though so maybe i just don't get it. I do love fried chicken but enjoy when it's hot, crispy and juicy. These were small and a little soggy? The coleslaw was also just ok. The Texas toast is a nice touch. I think the sauce is fire though. Service is fast and the place is clean.

Yelp
When i would visit my family in california my favorite place to go was canes. Im so glad we have a spot here in pdx. The food never fails to hit the spot, unfortunately the team is always rushed never getting a break in there day i wish it was in a better place then a mall food court. No music just the sound of hundreds of people talking at once. The food makes up for it though! Box combo No slaw xtra toast 2 extra sauce. I highly reccomend splitting the bread in two putting chicken in between with fries and dipping it in canes sauce ittl change your life.

Audrey S.

Yelp
Avoid at all costs! I watched an employee touch the chicken without gloves and thought maybe they changed how they breaded the chicken, but it rubbed me the wrong way. He also had a long beard which was not covered nor was his hair pulled back. I ended up with food poisoning.
google avatar

Glenn F.

Yelp
This visit not so good. Broken ice machine, cold fries, Coke mixed too sweet. Chicken OK but not warm enough. Late Sunday, probably better at other times.
google avatar

Yelp
My boyfriend and I always enjoy coming here, we order through the app and just pick up, it's like always busy in here. Service is friendly, and they're like always cleaning so it doesn't look a mess anywhere. Vibes are very casual. Food is typically always good, only have had an issue about the fries but at a different location.
google avatar

Menischia D.

Yelp
I just want to say that the food was delicious. The chicken tenders were fresh and juicy, the fries were crispy and the butter garlic bread was good. The service was fast and easy despite the long line of folks waiting to order. The location of the restaurant is very convenient and easy to get to. The tables were kept clean despite the number of customers. The restaurants decor was nice and big over the top. I do recommend this restaurant because the food was good, fresh and hot and the vibe was amazing.

Yelp
This Raising Cane's was the first one in the PNW! It's in the mall food court which can be a little challenging to get to but there's a parking garage and it's accessible from the street down the escalator. The staff is quick and friendly always with a smile on their face! Their box or 3 fingers is my go-to. I always ask for an extra canes sauce as well!! Delicious!!
google avatar

Frances L.

Yelp
For fast food chicken this is really good! The chicken is all natural no added addictive ingredients like others I won't mention. The bread is light and fluffy, sides we got were coleslaw and fries both okay, not anything special. I've only had delivery so maybe it's a better in the restaurant... Will be checking out the new location in Vancouver soon.
google avatar

Nathan E.

Yelp
Oh MAN, this place is special. Despite a long line, they cooked through orders like LeBron cookin on the court. Not only that, the service was even better, I'd say than Chik-Fil-A! To top it all off, the food was even better than I'd expected. If you're passing through Portland, this is a must try-especially for us Washingtonians.
google avatar

Sonia S.

Yelp
Closest one to us Washingtonians is this one in Portland. Seems like Oregon has several restaurants that have not made it to Washington--this leads to long lines at places like this. We arrived just before they opened and there were already at least 15 people in line. The line did move fast though. We chose a seat. Not sure how long this place has been here, but seems to be clean...but then again, it had just opened for the day. I have seen this place all over Texas, but have never stopped in. My friend wanted to get the Post Malone collectors cups, so we made the drive to Portland on a Sunday morning. We each went with the Box Combo--4 fried chicken strips, fries (crinkle cut), a little cup of coleslaw, a piece of Texas toast with a drink for under $12. The meals didn't take long to be prepared and came out hot and fresh. The fries were a little over salted, and the toast could have been a little more toasted...but the chicken was good. The sauce that it came with wasn't half bad. The coleslaw was decent. Pretty tasty meal...better than most other fast food places serving chicken strips. I also like that they have both sweet and unsweetened tea so that you can adjust it to your preference. It may not be worth the drive alone, but you can make a day trip of it since it is in the middle of downtown in a shopping center with plenty of parks and farmers markets to check out in the area. Don't forget to ask for a "Caniac" card and register it online to participate in their loyalty program. Unlike most places, you have to get a physical card from the restaurant and register it online to participate.

Yelp
If you're looking for good fast-food chicken, come to Raising Cane's, but be prepared for a wait. I went to this location specifically because it was in the mall, and I needed some grub while shopping. During our visit, a line stretched to almost the bathrooms, but it moved quickly. We took about 15 minutes to get to the front to place our order. I ordered a chicken sandwich with the bread and sauce, whereas my friend ordered the 3 Finger Combo. The chicken sandwich tasted juicy and fantastic. Now, the sauce and bread lived up to the hype for this place. I love how well the sauce compliments the chicken and the bread. You have to dip the bread into the sauce! Overall, Raising Cane's has bread and sauces, but there are other better chicken spots if you want flavorful (seasoned) chicken.

Yelp
Oregon took first place in the battle between Oregon and Washington State for which state would get the first Raising Cane's. With Washington State slated to get its first one in 2024, I thought it was time to come check out the first one in either state. Located in downtown Portland, I decided to come on a weekday for an early lunch to avoid the weekend rush. Located in the food court area of Pioneer Place on the lower level, the Raising Cane's logo both above the dining area and on the wall where the line formed helped me spot it clearly on approach. There was a line when I arrived and open tables inside the restaurant for dining in. The line moved quickly and the worker ringing up the orders was jovial. I went with the 3 Finger Combo, opting for some of the unsweetened sweet tea as my beverage. The worker who called out my name when the food was ready was audible even as I was getting my tea at the beverage station. I was impressed with both of the workers I interacted with. Dining in restaurant, I went with a booth. The lighting and interior decor was thematic. The chicken fingers were very meaty and very hot, so I found letting them cool a little after taking my first bite a way to enjoy their full flavor. I loved the Texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, and Cane's sauce as well. Nothing was overly sweet and everything had its own distinctive flavor. The tea was satisfying to my palate. All around enjoyed my first Raising Cane's dining experience.

Yelp
When I'm in Portland I'm happy that Raising Cane's is an option, I love chicken. Always a special treat since we don't have any locations in WA (they are bringing one here in a few years, yeee!). I've had it several times and finally understood why everyone loved the sauce! Sauce is very peppery, tangy, creamy--compliments the chicken well. Honestly; the chicken was under seasoned but crispy and fresh, the sauce helps it so much. Throw it together with the slaw on the soft toasty, buttery bread--absolute best little sando. Crinkle cut fries come super hot, always a must with tenders. It still gets busy since it's inside the mall but lines go pretty quickly. Menu is small, there are only a few choices with the chicken tenders. Looks like raising canes is always a hit or miss with the chicken because it isn't really seasoned? You do have to eat it with the sauce. Being a chicken lover I am someone who would go back. I'll be waiting for the Seattle location!
google avatar

Robert K.

Yelp
If you fried chicken fingers, you must try Raising Cane's. Tried out this Oregon location inside Pioneer Place. It was not too crowded, but the line was just as long as the other locations. The chicken fingers were fresh, tender, and delish! Unfortunately, the fries were way too salty. I think the chef forgot to shake the fries after being salted. The house sauce made the difference. Not sure what's in it, but it gets you hooked like crack. Anyways, if you like fresh, delicious chicken fingers, you can't go wrong with Raising Cane's.
google avatar

Sean R.

Yelp
I used to love this place, mainly cause you could buy a single chicken finger a la carte for 99¢ but that is not a thing in Portland for sure. I also remember the chicken being juicier and the fries better but that may just be nostalgia combined w/ years more delicious fried chicken experiences to compare to since my last visit. At about $17 for a 6 finger meal, it kinda stops being worth it for me. And plus at this location (lower level of mall downtown food court) there's always like a 10 min line or so. Oh Cane's, If you were still cheap, I'd still love you.
google avatar

Jo R.

Yelp
Drove my 2 grandsons across town to try Raising Canec's Chicken. Lucily there was no wait to order in drivethrough. We were shorted 2 breads, fries were cold and tasted like cardboard. I sent the older grandson back in to get the bread we were shorted. Staff person put the bread in a kids meal bag and the male staff raised his voice telling my grandson he was too old for a kids meal! That was rude! His meal was waiting in the car getting cold. Will never ever go back. One star for having diet Dr Pepper.

Yelp
It has been 7 years since I have been to Raising Cane's but in Arizona. Since they opened one in Oregon, I went there and had the box that comes with 4 chicken fingers, French fries, a loaf of bread and the sauce was MUCH better than Dave's Hot chicken! But the sweet tea was barely bitter but good. It has good interior including the disco balls. It took me a little less than 10 minutes to get my food and the workers have a good voice that I couldn't hear it. But sometimes it is hard to find parking because it is inside Pioneer Place and it is in downtown Portland. That is why that I rated four stars because of the tea was barely sweet even though it says sweet tea.

Yelp
I stopped by here to grab lunch while my wife and I wad exploring Pioneer Mall. The bad thing was we came during lunch time so they were of course busy and mostly everyone was coming here since the line was long. What also didn't help was that they only had 1 cashier so it took a while to go through everyone. The cashier was very into his character and had high energy so that stood out. The person calling our the order when it was ready was also 1 person as well. I went with the box combo but asked for no coleslaw but sub with fries instead. They were doing a special post Malone cup thing but I wasn't interested. It took about 10 minutes for my food to come out. I thought my food was delicious, the fries were seasoned well and the tender strip were delicious.
google avatar

Evelyn J.

Yelp
We have one Raising Canes that opened in Oakland but due to crime, they closed the dining room and drive through wait was too long so we never went. When I found out Portland has it, I definitely made this as part of our stop on our vacation. It was a great bonus that they had the Post Malone cup and we got two, week 1 PM cups, one for each meal that we got. This was inside Pioneer Mall and a short walk from the Max train Pioneer station. Their location is conveniently next to the restroom. Their tables were clean and there were a lot of space to eat at as it's part of the mall's food court, The line was long but moved fast. The female, young, blonde cashier was very nice and knowledgeable. Our food came fast and hot. It was so delicious! I bought extra sauce and we had leftover that I saved for the next morning's hotel breakfast. It went great with sausage, eggs and potatoes! I hope more locations open on our area as we definitely would go back again.

Kathy K.

Yelp
Hi priced boring menu. Just looking at the menu/pictures online was more than enough to steer us away.

Cie ..

Yelp
This place is always packed because it's delicious! You can tell that the workers genuinely enjoy working here, and while it's a busy place it's always enjoyable to be in. The chicken is amazing. 10/10 would recommend
google avatar

Kayley H.

Yelp
The line was long but it went very quickly, customer service was good and food was tasty. My only complaint is the limited menu, wish there were just a few more options. Also wish there was a location not in downtown Portland.

JD A.

Yelp
Food is always delicious of course (you can never go wrong with canes) but the people specifically at this location are super nice!

Nathan L.

Yelp
*Be Warned* -- As a 4 year delivery driver let me just warn folks who use DoorDash/GrubHub/UberEats -- you WILL NOT get your food on time/your orders will be cancelled. This location does not allow for drivers to skip their astronomically long line as they do not partner with the above-mentioned companies, thus any driver will be waiting at least 25 minutes (or longer) for your order to be placed by the driver - and by then the order will be cancelled and you'll have wasted your money. Best advice I can give is to order/dine at another chicken-based restaurant like Bae's Fried Chicken, Famous Dave's, Kung Pow!, etc. It's a shame that this business was even put onto the digital market as it gets customers' hopes up and leaves drivers disgruntled. The long wait even just to order for yourself is simply not worth it folks. Go with a local/non-corporate restaurant and give back to your community. Good luck out there!
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
I wasted a bunch of time in line so you don't have to. It's just chicken fingers. Pretty good, but still just chicken fingers. Not worth the wait or price.
google avatar

Rick K.

Yelp
Wow...simply the best chicken fingers and sauce imaginable. My daughter and I have visited two locations in Nebraska and the experiences have been the best. Today for lunch we finally made it to the Pioneer Place location in Portland, and again it was the same...the best. The person at the register was extremely friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. He answered a few questions and made the ordering process quite easy. The chicken was hot and fresh, as were the crinkle cut fries. The Texas toast was excellent as well. But the sauce...what can I say? It definitely is the hit. It had the same flavor as the previous two experiences, and I have seen on social media, that some make a sandwich of the Texas toast, chicken and dip into the magic sauce. Yup, definitely a great way to enjoy Raising Canes. And of course, extra chicken and sauce was purchased to enjoy later today and tomorrow. We will definitely be back.

HankandLeslie G.

Yelp
First visit to Vancouver WA new location. 11:30 am. 25 minute wait on drive thru. 15 minute commute home. Service was 110% amazing 2 4 pc boxes + sandwich box. Sweet tea Chicken strips were amazingly good. Cole slaw was a KFC copycat. Good Texas Toast was good taste Fries were good to taste However, toast & fries were "soggy". (Packaging maybe?) Dipping sauce was unexpectedly bland. Sandwich was bland but good. Needs pickles. Sandwich sauce is different than dip sauce. It too could use a bit of added spice. NOT more hot but just more flavor. Sweet tea was a blessing here in the NW for this southerner. Bottom Line, fingers were Awesome as expected But for a Louisiana chain I expected more kick. Probably will not go back.

Aden S.

Yelp
Mine and all of my friend's chicken tenders were comically small to the point where they were almost the size of chicken nuggets. The food was still delicious but definitely wasn't worth 22.50$ for some fried chicken, French fries and bread.
google avatar

May Y.

Yelp
We ordered the caniac combo ($16.85) and three finger combo ($9.99). I loved how tender and juicy the chicken was! It tasted especially delicious dipped with their signature sauce. The three finger combo actually came with texas toast instead of coleslaw, but luckily you can switch the toast out for coleslaw or more fries. I don't really like the toast because it's just a piece of bread, so I'm really glad they let you switch it out for no extra cost! I do wish the chicken was a bit crispier, I'm sure it'll taste even better! The line was pretty long as usual, but it was worth it. I also wish the meal was a tad cheaper!

Kirill S.

Yelp
This place gave me diarrhea but that's typical for canes for me. Overall the system was confusing for the orders and the call outs and it was very busy which is not a bad thing per se it is like the only canes in hundreds of miles so it's to be expected The chicken was food as always, but they did take a while to get the order out, but honestly a solid canes experience
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
Friendliest service ever! The young man working the register clearly loves life and his job. Appreciated the warm welcome, the friendly service, the efficiency and the overall positive experience. The meals came out pretty quickly and were hot and good. The dining area is clean and comfortable. It's a busy place being attached to a mall but run very well. A pleasant surprise for a fast food establishment! Well done!

Electra E.

Yelp
Thank you! Brandi was super helpful and the food and space was great even when busy! :)
google avatar

Mandy Jane H.

Yelp
Food was pretty basic. Any Popeyes chicken shack is better tasting than this place. Really disappointed.
google avatar

Martina T.

Yelp
Always good and the people working there always nice. Necessary stop when visiting from out of town.
google avatar

Vu D.

Yelp
The guy with the raising canes belt, he needs a raise! Great energy for a shopping center food chain. The food meets the expectations for raising canes. They have their own seating but you could always sit outside at the public mall tables.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Came here again, there was a long line around the corner. Got the 3 finger combo. It came out piping hot. Though the portion size felt smaller this time. Maybe cause there was less fries. The chicken was juicy, tender and burning hot as you took a bite. That definitely shows it was just made. The fries were delicious and the Texas toast is amazing as always.
google avatar

Jeremiah M.

Yelp
The only Raising Cane's location so far in the Pacific Northwest, and it's a must visit! Their chicken is good and I always find myself craving for Raising Cane's. But what makes their food so tasty isn't just their chicken, but the star of the show is the cane's sauce. It'll make anything taste "bussin-bussin"... If you don't know what to get here, I recommend the Box Combo. The only complaint that I have at this particular location is their service. I've been here a few times now and there is this person at the cash register who always seems like they never want to be here and just has no concept of customer service. I hope something can be sorted about that.

Donald P.

Yelp
Good food small menue. Its pretty high priced. Its alright. I make the same at home. Just like chic flix off. Over priced. It chicken tenders for goidness sake.

Roxana R.

Yelp
very fast service! great food! kelly is wonderful with an awesome attitude! will come back!!!
google avatar

Khiet E.

Yelp
While visiting Portland. This line was insane then the line to wait for your food was just as bad but it was totally worth the wait. Omg the butter bread just melted in my mouth so freaking good. My kids loved the chicken strips and dip that it came with.

Ashley N.

Yelp
this restaurant is so delicious. their chicken is fire! I will definitely be com back soon
google avatar

Natasha P.

Yelp
It is located inside the mall. First time having this and loved the crispy chicken and the fries. Their sauce was amazing too!
google avatar

Corrie C.

Yelp
Best chicken fingers ever, perfectly cooked chicken! But best part was the outgoing gentlemen taking our order! He acknowledged everyone! He made the experience a 5 star for sure!

Christian G.

Yelp
bri and eve are very great servers and make sure that i am in good hands whenever i place an order there. They are quick and attentive and canes has never missed.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty pissed. Got there at 557 and was walking toward the line of 5 people. One of the workers legit sprinted over and told me that they were closed... Update your time of closing then. And if it's just one more person getting in line, honestly let them.
