Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers Is Suing a Mall Where It Can’t Sell Chicken Fingers - Eater Chicago

"Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the prolific Louisiana-based chicken finger chain, is in a legal battle over a lease agreement for a new restaurant in Hobart, Indiana. The dispute arises from a non-compete clause that gives McDonald's exclusive rights to sell chicken products at the location, which Raising Cane’s was not informed about when signing a 15-year lease. The chain alleges they were misled into believing they had exclusive rights to sell deboned chicken products at the shopping center, and they are seeking to void the lease and recover development costs and lost profits." - Naomi Waxman

Worst experiance ever. The Manger was unprofessional and simply wanted to get rid of me. It was overtly obvious. When I tried to make a valid complaint about the window cashier not letting us correct the order and her demanding we pull up after handing us the wrong food the first time the manger was not intetestrd in hearing it. She had such a bad attitude didnt listen and demanded we pull up and wait. The manger wouldnt even look at me when i spoke. And we still got the wrong food a second time and didn't realize it till we got home. I called the manager FROM HOME and he was dismissive once again. Apologies were made but they were hallow and once again he was dismissive. He doesn't need to be a manager and has no skills for it and the window girl doesn't belong in the window. I stated she shouldn't be in the window if she was so rude to us and he stated I bad mouthed her by stating this fact. I expect more from canes employees sense of service. Nothing was resolved and with every interaction that happened was worse than the last. I won't be going here ever again. He wouldn't give us a recipet either when requested. Very bad experiance. Someone needs to do something about this. His de escalation skills are absolutly subpar at best. The chicken was beyond small as well. Suprise usprise we didn't order naked chicken. That is was we tried to tell them to no avail. Will not be back and if it's suggested we won't be going again. Update: thank you Corp for taking my complaint seriously amd reaching out. I hope the situation gets resolved.

I asked for crispy chicken soon as they. gave it to me. I opened the box pulled around saw the manager washing the drive-through at 5:40.pm He tells me he’s been working here for 14 years that’s crispy. There’s no way it’s crispy. It’s been in the Merco too long the breaded is fallen off of it. I show it to him. He says Yep that’s crispy. Don’t ask for crispy chicken because you won’t get it.

Stopped in to use the bathroom — and props where they’re due, it was surprisingly clean (a rarity on a road trip!). Decided to swing through the drive-thru after, and I was greeted with a smile and super friendly service. That’s always a win in my book. The chicken? Hot, crispy, and satisfying — Cane’s does that part right. But the coleslaw? Yikes. It tasted like sadness in a cup. And the bread? Something was definitely off. Weird smell, nasty flavor — it was like it gave up halfway through being Texas toast. Still, clean facilities, great staff, and solid chicken kept this from being a total loss. I’ll be back, but I’ll skip the slaw and bread next time.

Ordered online. When I got there the food was cold. Didn’t even follow the simple instructions given to provide me with a jug of sweet tea. When I called asking for a refund they gave me the strong arm saying there’s nothing they can do unless I’m present with my card. Poor management. Will never use walker location again. Todd Graves would be ashamed. One love my ass at this location.

Hit the drive thru a half hour before close, order a caniac combo, no slaw extra toast bc I’m pretty hungry. Get to where I’m goin and open the box. I’m livid! I’m short a chicken finger, on top of the 5 I did get are tiny to say the least and a small handful of fries. The whole point of ordering the caniac combo is for the extra portions! Terrible and won’t be going back!

Managers washing the driveway. I’ll pull around. Ask him is this extra crispy. He tells me he’s been working here. 14 years years that’s extra crispy. There’s no way it’s been in the Marco. Too long. The bread is fallen off of it.

Google
Place was quick with the food and fresh as always. Worst part was the "LA Pride Baseball" kids running from one entrance to the other, jumping in front of the guests with a poster saying to mention their name and Canes will give them 15%. I'm pretty sure that defeats the purpose. I think they are supposed to get people to come to Cane's not mooch off people coming on their own. 🤷‍♂️

Great food I love to go there! But the food is shrinking and it’s becoming more expensive. The people who work there are really nice though!

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! I like my fries hot and ready, and they delivered exactly that! The service in the drive thru was very efficient, and I got my food in a couple minutes. There were many fries and there was a good bit of chicken. I am extremely satisfied with this quality, and will start coming regularly.

Yelp
April 21, 2024 review. Fiancée and I wanted to eat some Raising Cane's before we drive back to Huntsville, Alabama from our Louisiana weekend trip. We do have a Cane's in Alabama, but it's two hours away in Tuscaloosa. :( We both got the four piece combo with no slaw and extra toast. Food came out fast and it was delicious. Service was friendly. Please RC, put a a restaurant in Huntsville already.

Yelp
I haven't been to a canes in years and this was my first time trying out the place in Walker. We ordered ours extra crispy and it came out perfectly. The tenders were nice and juicy, fries was awesome. I'm not sure how big the tenders are suppose to be but everyone complains about how small they are. I didn't find a problem with the size. I also ordered a sweet tea and I'm very picky about my sweet tea, Canes didn't disappoint!

Yelp
Talk about service! I chose to use the Order Ahead option in hopes of avoiding the late diners. I was pleasantly surprised. The order was ready when I arrived and it was prepared just as I requested. I admit that I'm usually not a big fan of ordering ahead because something is usually missing or the food isn't warm upon pick up. I indulged in their famous chicken and fries. It was nice, hot and generously portioned. They definitely changed my perception of ordering ahead! Will I return? Definitely!!

Yelp
Ice cold food. Absolutely zero warmth to french fries and chicken. When I called for the manager, Ashley, she could not have cared less. She told me she was going to tell the kitchen that my food was cold. She doesn't know that I know that it is the managers responsibility to make sure that food does not sit on the warmers too long and also make sure that food is not substandard. She is there only collect a check. She could care less about satisfied customers. She cared about one thing... Taking my money. She didn't care about providing quality food. I will never eat here again. She did not offer me a refund or anything.

Yelp
This is the second time we went through the drive through to support local business. I understand that this time is difficult for so many people. But you adjust! The first time we came through we came home without coleslaw... the pieces of chicken were no bigger than 3 inches each... we were so disappointed that we shunned the place for a while. This time... (Sunday) we had our coleslaw... but the portions of chicken for the price you charge is inexcusable and ridiculous. I know this is a difficult time for restaurants... but it is a difficult time for your patrons as well ! And remember they have a choice!

Yelp
this establishment is overworking their YOUNG staff. i have come through on multiple occasions to find high school students fighting sleep. they call their younger staff into work hours before they are needed and refuse their break. they do not allow people to call in and refuse them when they are asked to take time off, this is very disappointing. do better or deal with the repercussions.

Yelp
So slow, hour waiting to even place a simple order, bunch of rude kids who can't do anything but socialize and screw up orders

Kristen P.

Yelp
We placed an order to go and sat there and waited at least 20 minutes, watched at least 5 cars go through the drive through, a family came in behind us and ordered there food and were already sitting down eating when a lady behind the counter asked if we had an order. We said yes and she said "what y'all's name" and we told her. She then told us that they had started making our food and only made half the order then left it on the counter to get cold. So then they had to remake our order. We ordered it to go so we could get back on the road quickly since we still have a 6+ hour drive.. so much for that.

Sharon P.

Yelp
Normally they are on point. Apparently they have no intention of honoring menu prices. We ordered through door dash and when our driver got there to pick up our food, the counter man demanded $5.00 more or he wasn't going to release our food. Really? I paid for my food and now I can't have my food?
