Crazy Popular Chicken Finger Chain Sets Mira Mesa Opening | Eater San Diego

"Continuing its San Diego expansion, I note the Southern fried fast-food chain Raising Cane’s, which first landed in Santee in 2018, is opening a new Mira Mesa location to the public on Tuesday, September 22. Founded in Louisiana, the now-global chain operates over 500 locations, including outposts in Vista and Temecula. Despite a menu limited to fried chicken fingers (fresh, never frozen), it has amassed a devoted fanbase who call themselves 'caniacs'; the chicken fingers are offered in different combos along with fries, cole slaw, and Cane’s Sauce, a mayo-and-ketchup concoction. The Mira Mesa store, which replaces Rockin’ Baja Lobster in the complex that also houses Menya Ultra Ramen, is decorated with interior graphics that celebrate and support Miramar Airbase and the military community, and will have double drive-thru lanes to accommodate crowds. The company says it plans to open more locations in San Diego — likely a few in 2021." - Candice Woo

Southern Fried Chicken Craze Coming to Mira Mesa | Eater San Diego

"With fans who self-identify as 'caniacs,' Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a Louisiana-based chain with over 400 restaurants that landed in Santee in 2018 and has since opened outposts in Vista and Temecula; Mira Mesa will be the next location, replacing Rockin’ Baja Lobster, with construction already begun to add a drive-thru to the free‑standing building and an opening aimed for the end of the year. The restaurant offers a succinct menu of “fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers” fried to order and served in combo meals with the secret-recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, and crinkle-cut fries alongside Southern staples such as Texas toast and sweet tea, and the company has said it plans to bring 30 branches to the area over the next ten years. Recently named one of the 100 best places to work by Glassdoor, the brand emphasizes its culture and community—"Located in San Diego, we serve only the highest quality chicken finger meals. It’s our ONE LOVE. Our crew makes it happen, our culture makes it unique, and the community makes it all worthwhile"—and, as marketing advisor Mica Brandt shared, they have "our sights on several more sites and will continue to grow the market as quickly as we can while maintaining our standards of growing the right way versus just for speed." - Candice Woo

Google
first time at raising canes and it did not disappoint. we had the 3 finger combo and it took them only 30 seconds to prep. service is impeccable :)

Alex S.

Google
Serving was pretty substantial. I got the box combo, which is 4 strips of chicken with fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and their secret sauce and a drink. I ordered mine through the app for pickup and I like that when I got there, they were finishing up my order, so I got it hot and did not have to wait long. I definitely would recommend ordering ahead if you can, because the line gets busy during lunch hours. The chicken and fries were crisp and sufficiently salted. The secret sauce was pretty tasty too. Plenty of seats and they have some booths options too. The place seems clean and tidy. Pretty great for a fast food place.

Google
Canes never misses. Vibes were chill and the food was straight fire. Got the Box Combo (no coleslaw because I’m picky lol) and everything slapped. Texas toast was elite, chicken fingers were crunchy and bussin’, and of course, Canes sauce is the real MVP. Fries hit too. Got a lemonade, cup size was actually solid. Staff was super chill and helpful. Price was like $12, kinda up there, but honestly you get a lot of food so it’s worth it. Bathroom code btw is 22467. Easy 5/5.

Fernando A.

Google
Great place. You get what you pay for. The food is great. I asked for the 5 piece combo but for an adult the 3 piece is just fine haha.

Every time I come to raising canes I feel the price goes up and my chickens get smaller. I do enjoy raising canes I always substitute the coleslaw for an extra bread

Neil S.

Google
A very pleasant idea for a quick chicken meal. Food was very quickly ready (despite a lot of people arriving at the same time), it was hot, and tasted great. Whatever is in that sauce was great. Well done, excellent, simple food experience.

This Mira Mesa Raising Cane’s location is one of the few in the San Diego area, and it has quickly become a favorite for many. The food here is undeniably delicious, capturing the authentic flavors and quality you expect from Cane’s. While the chicken portions might seem on the smaller side, the taste and freshness more than make up for it. Each bite is a delightful experience, and the menu offers a great variety to satisfy different cravings. What really sets this location apart is the service. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to make your dining experience as pleasant as possible. Their warm and attentive demeanor adds a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere of the restaurant is another standout feature. The vibrant decorations with vivid colors create a lively and enjoyable environment. The addition of disco balls hanging from the ceiling adds a fun, retro vibe that enhances the overall dining experience. It’s a place where you can enjoy good food and good times, whether you’re dining alone, with family, or with friends. Another highlight is the beverage selection. The fountain drinks feature a variety of Coca-Cola products, offering a refreshing complement to your meal. Among the options, you’ll find something for everyone, making it easy to pair your favorite drink with your food. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this Mira Mesa Cane’s location is definitely worth a visit. The combination of tasty food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere ensures a satisfying dining experience every time. We’re looking forward to returning and trying more from their menu.

Google
Raising Canes is always consistently good. Chicken is always fresh and delicious. Drive Thru is a long line sometimes but always goes quick. Will order an extra canes sauce to go with the 4 piece combo. Hint: slice the bread and put the chicken, fries and coleslaw with canes sauce to get a secretly awesome canes sandwich!

Lourdes M.

Yelp
Chicken getting smaller each time I go buy them :( And some are not even cooked. Please don't ruin your reputation .. raise the price instead of making the chicken smaller :( Still 4 coz love the bread

Yelp
I mean... service was fast, but my fries and bread was soggy. Pretty upset about that. I often go to chick fil a, but made the mistake of coming here. Pretty upset about it. I've been to other locations, and never had this problem. Maybe it was just this location, not sure. The place appeared to be clean when I came in.

Yelp
I genuinely like raising canes and think the food/vibes are amazing. I feel the same way with the Mira Mesa location at times too, but that's in store. Half the time I go through the drive thru because I have doordash orders; and it's come to a point where I just started declining doordash orders from Canes. The reason why is because of the quality of service I receive when I'm in the drive-thru. The people are nice, very kind and helpful, but when I get to the window, everything just becomes sloppy. The food is always given to me with some insane sense of urgency to get out of line as fast as possible. I get it, I work in fast food too, but why am I practically getting my food thrown in my face and getting the door shut on me immediately? I'll have to wait another minute for someone to come back in order to ask for extra ketchup or honey packets. On top of that- there hasn't been a SINGLE time where I've gotten a drink with the lid on properly, every single time I come through the drive through and get a drink for a DoorDash order, the lid is not on properly, or it's on and it just decides to not stay on, causing an entire spillage in my car. It doesn't help when the drinks are literally leaking out of the cup when being handed to me too. I appreciate the fact that the drink is filled up to the brim, but every single time it's so frustrating to deal with an overflowing sticky drink being handed to me with a lid that is either not on properly or doesn't stay on properly. This is the second time I've had to get a car wash in a week because of a drink just spilling all over my car.

Yelp
Raising Cane's Mira Mesa -- Where the Chicken's Fine but the Vibes Are Cursed Let me start by saying: I love Raising Cane's. I've been to several locations and usually have a decent experience. But the Mira Mesa location? Never again. This visit was so weirdly bad that I left feeling like I was in a hidden camera prank show. I came in around 8 PM on a Friday night. Not too busy, maybe five people ahead of me. I ordered a Box Combo and politely asked for no toast, and an extra sauce instead. Totally normal, right? Apparently not here. The cashier stared at me for an uncomfortable five seconds, said "uhhh," then called someone from the back -- who proceeded to argue, in front of me, about whether substitutions were "worth the hassle." I was literally standing there, just wanting one less piece of bread. I'm not negotiating a hostage release. Eventually they charged me 23 cents for removing something. I asked, "Wait, so I'm paying for less food?" and they just shrugged and said, "That's how we do it here." It gets worse. When I sat down to eat, I noticed my Cane's Sauce had what looked like a long, bright red thread in it. I brought it up to the front, and the response? Not an apology. The guy just said: "It's not hair. It's probably from someone's hoodie." What does that even mean? Are people stirring sauce with their sleeves now? They gave me a replacement, but it felt more like a favor than the bare minimum. And the cherry on top? They forgot the coleslaw entirely -- and when I asked about it, the same guy sighed and said: "Are you sure? It's probably just under the chicken." (Plot twist: it was not.) Final thoughts: * Staff attitude was cold and borderline rude. * Weird surcharge logic. * Sauce mystery. * Missing food. * A general feeling that no one cared if anything was right.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Raising Cane's, and now I get why it's my daughter's favorite place to eat! The chicken was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and that dipping sauce was absolutely delicious. The staff were super friendly and made the visit even better. I'll definitely be coming back! Excited to see Raising Cane's coming to Washington -- they deserve a much higher rating than what I've seen! Thank you

Yelp
My favorite fast food spot to get chicken fingers! Lots of tables inside and service is fast. Their chicken fingers are always hot, fresh and so juicy with a little crunch. The Cane's sauce is a little tangy and yummy with the chicken and fries. The Texas toast is also delicious and nicely seasoned. I'm always finding myself craving Cane's.

Cuong T.

Yelp
A picture is worth a thousand words. Disappointed dinner. Small portion for $11+. Only 2 chicken tenders, business was out of lettuce by 10 pm. Will not return.

Yelp
Raising Cane's Chicken is delicious! their chicken tenders really pack a punch, very spicy flavoring! more crispy than I like but still delicious. green a range of flavors to go for your next party!
google avatar

Devin R.

Yelp
Way overpriced for what you get now. The fries were cold and a tiny portion. The strips have gotten smaller and smaller as the prices go higher and higher. The toast was cold. Best thing I can say is the sweet tea was good.

Toby D.

Yelp
It should be a crime to call this a tender, it gets smaller and smaller everytime :( getting so tired of this ngl

Yelp
worst customer service you get there two and a half hours before they close and they're acting like you're pulling up 10 min before close. If you're so miserable maybe quit and don't work at a fast food chicken place?

Yelp
Raising Cane's (RC) is a chain chicken joint that serves up delicious chicken tenders. Aside from that you can also find crinkle cut fries, coleslaw, a chicken sandwich, Texas Toast, and a variety of beverages on their menu. We came here on Saturday past midnight and got a couple of combos to go. There is plenty of parking here at this shopping center, so that wasn't an issue. The dining area was still open which is nice, and there were probably about 10-15 customers inside dining. Our food came out after about 10 minutes or so. We decided we would eat the Texas Toast before leaving and it was good. We ordered the toast with butter on both sides (BOBS). I guess it's a thing to order the toast BOBS. The chicken was tender, juicy, had a nice coat of breading and was crispy with good flavor. The dipping sauce (called Cane's sauce was okay). I didn't think it was bad, but it didn't really impress me enough for me to call it good. At quick glance, it resembles Thousand Island dressing and has the base of Thousand Island (mayo and ketchup), but it isn't the Thousand Island that we are accustomed to. When I looked it up, the description says it's a blend of mayo and ketchup with additional spices. They offer honey mustard and Louisiana Hot Sauce for dipping as well, but only by request, something I will ask for next time. For all the night owl San Diegans, RC is open late (on many days up until 3am) which is great because you have more dining options after 9pm when many places close. I'm unsure what hours are elsewhere, aside from Mira Mesa, but it could be similar. The dining area here is very spacious and clean. I thought that it was mainly because it's down the street from Mira Mesa High School, but my family member told me another location she visited had a large dining area as well, so it might be the norm for RC. Service was good, we were greeted when we walked in. As I was taking pictures, an employee asked me if I wanted him to take a picture of me and the others with me in front of the Christmas tree. I declined, but thought it was a nice gesture. Overall, I'm a fan of RC and we will return in the future. 4 / 5: Food 4 / 5: Service 4 / 5: Cleanliness 4 / 5: Overall

Yelp
Would inhale the sauce if I could. The tenders are juicier here than other locations but it is a hit or miss. I'm hungry writing this. Worker was nice too!

Yelp
I'm new to San Diego, and since there aren't many Raising Cane's locations on the East Coast, I hadn't had a chance to try it before. With all the hype surrounding it, I was excited to finally see what the buzz was about. My first visit, though, was pretty average--the chicken didn't blow me away, and it didn't quite meet my expectations. I decided to give it another shot and, based on a friend's recommendation, I ordered Extra Crispy for both the chicken and fries, plus the Toast with butter on both sides. That definitely made a difference, and while the chicken was better the second time around, I have to say the sauce was the real MVP--without it, the meal wouldn't have been nearly as enjoyable. That said, the experience itself was solid. The staff is always friendly, the restaurant is very clean (especially compared to most fast food places), and the drive-thru is impressively organized, keeping traffic flowing smoothly. I wouldn't go out of my way for Raising Cane's, but if I'm ever craving it--especially for a late-night munchies run--this location would be my go-to since it's convenient and open late.

Yelp
Yes! Always Great service and the chicken is juicy. My favorite. Good parking and clean. Easy on the wallet.

Yelp
They charge extra for Arnold Palmer but they don't tell you. I was surprised by the extra charge on my receipt and I wouldn't have chosen Arnold Palmer if I knew it was extra. Bad business practice
google avatar

Grace F.

Yelp
I'm not from San Diego originally so I never understood the hype with Raising Canes vs Chick Fil A. I have to say though, the prices for the amount of food you get at Raising Canes is much better - and the Texas toast is amazing- but the chicken itself is a little dry and lacks flavor. Unless you're a die hard fan of their sauce, then you don't have many options to give it the flavor it needs. The fries as well, they could be more seasoned and less dependent on having a sauce
google avatar

Borneo G.

Yelp
I didn't expect a lot from Raising Cane's, but I ended up really liking it! The chicken fingers were good, the secret sauce is good, and I like the fries and Texas Toast! I was also very surprised with the lemonade; it tastes way better than that awful Minute Maid stuff that they sell at other fast food restaurants. People complain about not getting enough sauce, but I don't understand it; the side sauce they give you is a lot. I'm guessing people like to drench their food with it, which I think is overkill. You don't need that much sauce unless the food tastes bad, which it doesn't. I went through the drive thru and I thought the girl who was there was really nice and gave me my order right away. No complaints there. Also I like that this place and almost all other Raising Cane's have late night hours! Will I become a regular at Raising Cane's? Probably not, but only because this place is a little further from my home than I'd like. Do I recommend it? Yes!

Dorothy A.

Yelp
I ordered the 4 piece and when I got home, less than 4 minutes, my chicken tenders were not cooked all the way through. My sauce was runny. My slaw was warm. I didn't want to give it a star but I couldn't continue w/o.
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
I can usually depend on Canes to provide a decent, predictable meal and this experience was no exception. I went through the drive through after a quick trip to target and it hit the spot. The food was fresh and hot and I made it through the drive through quickly. Thanks Canes for another solid meal.

Yelp
Date of most recent visit: January 6, 2024 Raising Cane's is one of the fastest growing fast casual franchises in the country, and with a simple menu of chicken tenders, Texas toast, cole slaw, and crinkle cut French fries - not to mention the Cane's sauce - it's not hard to see why. After my most recent train trip north to see my fiancée, I was in the mood for some chicken tenders, and as it had been a while since I'd been to my Raising Cane's, figured I'd head there for dinner. I went with the Box Combo ($11.99); this came with four chicken fingers, a side of the Texas toast, cole slaw, fries, and a drink. To be honest, I'm more a fan of the sides than the chicken... the toast, fries, and slaw are all on point, and in retrospect I should've ordered extra slaw. The chicken tenders are juicy, but I prefer to have them a bit more crispier. While the ambiance is definitely clean, there's a couple of issues I want to address. One was rather than giving you a number or a pager to let you know when your order's ready, the staff call your name... but seeing how there were at least two other Steves in the building, I had picked up someone's order by accident until we straightened it out. (Plus with a crowded place, it's hard to hear your name over the din.) And, when I was mostly finished with my dinner and had gotten up to refill my drink, one of the associates cleaned my table off - despite there being a chicken tender still on the plate. (While the associate apologized and offered to make it right, I was so miffed that I told her not to bother.) I'll still go back to Raising Cane's every so often, but if anything I'll make sure to keep an eye out on my order.

Yelp
Jared is such a sweetheart such positive energy floating through him! Thanks Jared for being so professional when it came to my Issue your service is amazing mam! You're the man every company should have ppl like you!

Yelp
Today was my first time at Cane's, but I had a good experience! I ordered the box combo with a Diet Coke, and you can't forget about the Cane's sauce. It was about a 10 minute wait for the food, but it was worth it because it was very tasty overall. The chicken was crispy with good seasoning, and was piping hot. The fries were also fresh, well seasoned, and were crispier than most crinkle cut fries out there. Even the Texas toast was great! It had a nice bite to it, and was buttery, flaky, and tasted good. The Cane's sauce was awesome too! It had a distinct, and delicious flavor that worked great with the chicken, fries, and Texas toast. The only thing that I really didn't like was the coleslaw. It's just an afterthought next to all that other delicious food, and was very warm for some reason. The mayo in it was also bubbly, and I'm not sure how that happened, but anyways, it wasn't great. However, the drive thru service was really good. The employee who took my order was very nice, and attentive, creating a good vibe. And, I appreciated this, because a good employee makes you want to enjoy the food just that much more. Overall, this is a good chicken place!
google avatar

Terri L.

Yelp
My second time visiting this location and both time the restaurant was super busy. But the service was quick, and chicken tenders were freshly fried and delicious!!! Will come back when I am in the mood for fried chicken tenders.

Kevin B.

Yelp
overpriced for what you get. double the cost if one person will you paint it any other fast food restaurant. Free frozen potatoes and chicken. Nothing special.

Charlene O.

Yelp
Wanted to add an updated menu prices for canes because most pictures on here are a bit outdated.
google avatar

Natasha Y.

Yelp
The chicken tenders are ok, the chicken tender sandwich is one of the worst things here tho. The tenders get super soggy and the small piece of old wilted lettuce they give you is a joke, they also don't have pickles which I believe is a must for chicken sandwiches. The prices aren't worth what you get. The Texas toast and canes sauce is what people really come here for let's be honest. The coleslaw needs serious help and so do the workers here.
google avatar

Isa B.

Yelp
are you kidding San Diego or something going on. I entered the restaurant and it smells like sewer and everybody's eating and cooking and I told and they say yeah whatever really Thank you for fixing this and being on top of it because that was horrible
google avatar

Elmer R.

Yelp
This is about my sixth visit here and it was six visits to have been phenomenal with the customer service. Frankly it on another gentleman's name now of our previous testing encounter and today I was blown away again by young lady by the name of Zoe. She was extremely attentive he shouldn't and helpful. Not to mention the shoes on double time the whole time very efficient fashion moving yet courteous. Fried Chicken is fried chicken well fingers and it tastes the same here as it doesn't show La Vista however the service is what is superior at this location
google avatar

Jean-Charles N.

Yelp
The place is nice and clean The service was not very friendly And the food was not that good either The chicken was kinda dry, the breading not that crunchy and the fries too salty

Chevlyn B.

Yelp
Food tasted great! It was nice and hot , toast was nice and warm , fries were not overly salted. Order was fast and didn't have to take long to wait for food.
google avatar

Jaime R.

Yelp
I visited this Raising Cane's for the first time today around 1:45 PM and had a very disappointing experience. After handing over my debit card at the drive-thru window, there was an unusual delay. The employees acted as if there was confusion with the orders, but in reality, they never returned my card. I only realized this after leaving, which forced me to immediately lock my card and order a new one. This kind of carelessness--or worse, intentional mishandling--is unacceptable. I won't be returning to this location and strongly advise others to be cautious when handing over their payment cards here. A simple transaction should never turn into a situation like this.
google avatar

Reflection S.

Yelp
I recently visited Raisin Cane's and was unfortunately underwhelmed by my experience. The food, specifically the chicken fingers, lacked seasoning and the exterior was not crispy as I had expected. Given the price point, I anticipated a higher quality of food. Sadly, the taste and texture fell short of my expectations. Unless they revamp their seasoning and cooking techniques, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. For now, I'd caution others to manage their expectations when dining at Raisin Cane's. The service is good and quick and the ambience is fine, the music is a little loud.
google avatar

Rina H.

Yelp
I came here last night with a friend to grab some food since we were in the area. This was my first canes experience and I was definitely underwhelmed. We both ordered at the front and I instantly noticed how unfriendly the service was. It's also pretty loud so I had to ask the cashier multiple times to repeat himself. We had the same issue when they were calling out names for people to come get their food when it was ready, I don't understand why they don't have some kind of microphone system set up here. The food was OK. I got the three-piece meal and swapped out the bread for coleslaw. I tried my friends bread and it was fine, the chicken also lacked seasoning in my opinion, but I will say it was very juicy. I'd give this place another shot but probably at a different location.
google avatar

Lourdes M.

Yelp
Service is good . Bread is awesome and so does the sauce But chicken's way smaller now compare to when they first open it . 1/4 is missing and I'm serious coz I used to eat once a week . Not anymore ! Fries not crispy also . I still will give them 4 since it's a good bread

Yelp
I can never get tired of Raising Cane's. Such a good treat when you're in the mood to eat something delicious and greasy. It's like the chicken version of In-N-Out because the menu offers a few options and makes ordering easy. This location had a pretty long wait, but every Raising Cane's has a longer wait in my experience compared to other fast food restaurants. I had to wait around 10-15 minutes for my food this time. Parking is always available because it's in a huge shopping lot in Mira Mesa. The drive thru is pretty efficient here if you don't feel like coming inside, but the drive thru wait is pretty similar to how long you would wait if you went to order inside, too. The inside gets pretty loud especially at night. They accept military discount! I'm always able to save at least $1 or so when I use it. Sometimes when I know I'm not too hungry and don't want to be stuffed, I order the Kid's Meal. Recommend doing that if you're not too hungry!
google avatar

Gabriel M.

Yelp
I went to Cane's after not going for nearly a year. I immediately noticed the prices have gone up significantly. A box combo is now $13, when they used to be $8 a couple years ago (a 60% markup!). I was quickly disappointed when I opened my box combos to find all four chicken strips were not much larger than the size of a quarter. It's one thing to increase your prices, but to also compromise the quality is another thing. I used to go to Cane's because of the value you'd get, but I can see they're losing their way and I can't say I'll be going back anytime soon.
google avatar

Steven Z.

Yelp
I am impressed. I love their chicken tenders and fries and they don't take so long especially their service is amazing. I am not disappointed.
google avatar

Tanner K.

Yelp
The experience was cool the overall performance and service was great, there were Texan vibes and really fit the cool laid back look that I was hoping for....but on the other hand there was a lack of taste and flavor to the chicken,it was dry, and honestly w as disappointing to all the good and great hype that it was known for..:

Yelp
As always Raising Cane's fully delivers on their amazing chicken fingers. I had "the box" 3 fingers, (that sounds kind of...) fries, garlic bread, cole slaw and 1 sauce. Obviously their sauce is bomb, so I order a whole lot more. This store is really busy so their chicken was so hot, fresh, moist with a nice crunchy crust. That sauce tho, next level. On a side note, as I mentioned this store is really busy. So it's crazy loud, music, customers and the person yelling out names to come get their orders. It's chaotic at worst and lively at best. When the person behind the counter yells someone's name, I jumped a few times, so jarring. Next time drive thru and eat in the car. "The food in Europe is pretty disappointing. I like fried chicken. But other than that Europe is great." -Donnie Wahlberg

Very busy, but they are very quick. They get you in and out; the ambience is that of a super busy fast food place about 2500 ft.² so it's big. My kids really enjoyed the food, so did I. The service is exceptional, Coke machine was flat, he immediately got me one that wasn't. The staff was super nice, friendly, smiling. That means a lot. And they were working their butts off.

Yelp
Small nuggets.the cashier was also greedy. I don't agree with the service I think that they overcharge for certain things such as a cane sauce as well as a undersize chicken nuggets.

Yelp
RC is a prime example that simplicity can be tasteful. The Caniac Combo ($16.85) - 6pc, 2 cane's sauce, 32oz drink: crispy seasoned fries & juicy chicken. Subbed the Texas toast for another creamy refreshing coleslaw, 8/10. The 3 Finger Combo ($9.99) - 1 cane's sauce, 22oz drink: same, crispy seasoned fries & juicy chicken. Texas toast is buttery goodness, 8/10. Secret menu item. Honey mustard (39 cents): runny sauce, but still captures the sweet flavor. The portions here have gotten smaller, but this is generally normal nowadays for restaurants. Service here has always been friendly. Wait times vary, but they try to get people in and out asap without compromising quality.

Yelp
I went here on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't very busy like it usually is. My kids and their friends wanted to eat here for lunch. The service was pretty quick. We decided to eat there since there were alot of tables available. The dining room didn't seem to be checked much since the tables were dirty and the trash overflowing. Will probably come back but take the food to go instead.

Yelp
Love the chicken, hate the sauce! Cane's is conveniently located within walking distance from my house. I love the chicken here, but could never eat it inside the restaurant. The reason? It's the sauce! I don't care for it, and sadly, it's the only option they have. It's too creamy for me and tastes like Thousand Island sauce, which I cannot stand. So what I normally do is order it to go, and use my own sauce at home. I have a bottle of Thai sweet chili sauce that I like and I add sriracha to it. It goes really well with the chicken and doesn't leave that heavy creamy taste.

Yelp
I've been coming to this Cane's location since they opened, but over the last year, I feel like I am disappointed every time I go. Their portions are getting smaller and smaller - very little fries and the tenders are TINY. They used to give decent sized portions but not anymore. The last time I went, they forgot items in our order and since I went through the drive thru, I didn't notice until I got home. Service is also a hit or miss - I've had great experiences but lately it's been more disappointing than good. Pro is that they're open late for those late nights when you need something to eat. The Cane's sauce is still good and sometimes what makes me go back lol. Pro tip - you can buy the Cane's sauce in their drink cup sizes if you want to bring it home and keep in the fridge.
