I usually take my snacks here. There foods are really delicious as promised! Thank you so much for the immediate serving. Great place!

Google
We stopped by Rajas Sweet for a quick bite. We ordered chole bhatura and dahi bhalle. Both were fresh and tasted good. They did justice to the Indian flavors. They have a wide variety of Indian sweets and snacks. A must-try for anyone who is fond of them.

Raja Sweets in Union City is a hidden gem! The gulab jamun is perfectly soft and sweet. The samosas are crispy and full of flavor with a nice little kick of spice. I also tried the veggie biryani, and it was amazing— perfectly spiced, and packed with veggies. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help you pick something new. The store is clean and inviting, making it a great place for a quick treat or to grab some food to take home. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Elena B.

Google
Here you have to pick up a box, wear a single use glove and collected your sweets into a box. There are no names and ingredients indicated. So you have to ask about every sweet. I got a blue box and a box of jallabi. I paid just over $50 for both.

Malini S.

Google
I recently ordered food from Raja Sweets in Union City for a party of 40 people. We met with Jassa at the store, who took our order and assured us everything would be ready on time. On the day of the event, the food was prepared right on schedule. The packaging was excellent, especially considering the number of curries we ordered. The quantity was generous, and the food was delicious. Our guests were very pleased. I highly recommend Raja Sweets and will definitely order from them again

Google
This place located in another part of the _USA would be 5 stars. The problem is that within 10 miles you have 41 Indian restaurants and the competition is fierce. Good bakery but the food is too main street. Staff is very friendly but you need to raise the bar.

Google
I had the pleasure of visiting Raja Sweets Union City today and I must say it was an amazing experience. They have a wide variety of Indian sweets and snacks offered at an unbeatable price. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great selection of authentic Indian sweets and snacks in the Bay Area! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are more than willing to help you with any questions you might have or guide you through the selection process. I would highly recommend you to visit this shop at least once and try some of their delicious treats. If you have not stopped by Raja Sweets Union City yet, you are missing out on a real gem in the Bay Area. Every time I come to this side of town, I will definitely stop by this shop. Trust me, you won't regret it. Overall, I highly recommend everyone to check out Raja Sweets Union City for their delicious variety of Indian sweets and snacks. I hope this review helps you in making your decision about visiting this amazing place.

Google
Utterly disappointed with this place. With such high standards other sweet shops has set in Fremont, this place lags far behind. The Jalebis were stale and hard. The savory snacks had no crisp and flavor. Avoid at any cost.

Yelp
Kachori is great though a bit pricy. Samosas are yummy. Shahi Jamun is my favorite, kids love the gulab jamuns.
google avatar

Sarun S.

Yelp
FOOD: They have one of the best samosas in the Bay Area. Full marks to taste, flavor and everything else specially on samosas. Have tried sweets from here a few times but it is a hit or miss. SERVICE I would rate their service a bit lower. Their service feels like it's too raw and can get better when compared to some of the other restaurants in the area.

Loveleen K. S.

Yelp
Although their food and sweets are fantastic their customer service is bad.. I ordered a week ago and they forgot half of the order and had to drive back 10 mins. Today I wanted all mitai mixed in a 2 pound box.. guy only gave plain and besan mitai. Waited for some pakoras some rude lady at the counter handed the fritters in a box and handed red and green chutney in the hand. Like seriously can you put it in the bag or fit the chutneys in the box?? Need to up it on your service. Just tasted the besan barfi was hard as a brick old burfi was packed. The guy had gloves on could he not see the color and hardness off the barfi!! If I could I would give a negative star. The was soo shady!

Yelp
I ordered 20 samosas from Raja Sweets on June 15, 2025. Unfortunately, the quality was very disappointing -- they were extremely oily and tasted like they had been refried. This isn't my first time ordering from Raja Sweets, but I've noticed a decline in quality over the past few months. I hope this feedback helps improve future orders.

Siddhant N.

Yelp
We got kachori from this place. This is worst I had in bay area. Primarily they refried it. Looked dark brown and very bad taste. Secondly, enclosure were thick as bread. Will never get it from here.

Yelp
This place has a nice display of desserts. When we arrived they asked what we wanted, but it was a first time at Raja Sweets. Once we looked, we called the server because we had some questions but one of the servers was a bit rude and completely ignored us. They automatically served the next family who was just asking to taste all the samples. So in terms of the service I had to dock 2 star. After waiting for some time we finally got our order in. We ordered the samosa which was really good and the ghee jalebi which was heaven. It's a shame the service wasn't up to par.

Berkeley B.

Yelp
Raja Sweets - Union City was AMAZING!!! We catered our daughter's first birthday party appetizer food from them, and the quality of the food was impeccable, and their service was amazing! It was very smooth and easy to work with them. They're very responsive to questions, and do so in a timely manner. I will certainly be utilizing their services for any future events I throw! Thank you, Raja Sweets!

Sanjose M.

Yelp
We had heard about Raja sweets so much and went to Union city with a lot of excitement and hope. This was the Sunday before Diwali. The samosas were stale with spoilt aloo in it. 2 bites to decide what was wrong with the samosa and it was in the trash bin. We spent $63 on mixed mithaai. Gajar barfi was spoilt. Laddoos were tasteless. Kalakand was slightly decent. The only thing worth our trip was the Jalebi. I really hope this was one of those times when things were not up to their standard due to mass production because of Diwali.

Yelp
Solid spot for samosas and chaat in Union City! My friend and I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon to pick up some snacks to eat at a nearby park. We got here around 3 pm and the restaurant was completely empty. There's a decent sized seating area with plush chairs that looked very comfortable. There were a few people coming in to pick up massive trays of samosas for parties, so that seems to be the thing to get here, but they also have a huge selection of sweets, chaat, and veg/non-veg dishes. We ordered 5 samosas ($1.25 each), one meat samosa ($2.99), and a chole bhature ($9.99) to go. It took a while for our order to be ready, more than 20 minutes, since the kitchen was frantically churning out trays of samosas nonstop. I really liked the regular samosas and the chole bhature. The samosas were pretty big for the price, though the tamarind chutney that came with it was way too sweet. The chole bhature was solid as well, especially given that fact that we ate it a couple hours later. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the meat samosa; I found the meat inside (ground lamb?) to be quite dry. I'd love to come back and try some of their other chaat items!

Yelp
I recently purchased sweets and puffs here. The laddoo looked fresh and bright in color at the display, and we asked for a pound of that and 2 vegetable puffs. The lady at the counter just packed it and we didn't check the box there and came home. After coming home and opening the box we realized the box had two different color sweets, a few of them were bright in color and fresh and the other set was different in color and hard. We were so surprised and wished we checked the box at the store itself once it was packed. The puffs are good but the sweets are not good at all. Whoever is ordering, please make sure to check your boxes once they fill the boxes with your selection.

Amruta D.

Yelp
Best Samosas! I like their Chana masala too. They can make it spicy as well for your taste .
google avatar

Kristine A.

Yelp
I ordered 10 samosas at $1.25 each. They are huge! Comes with green sauce (spicy) and red (sweet) I think it's tamarind? Deep fried goodness. The guy that helped me out was very friendly and always had a big smile on his face. I'll be back to order the sweets next time.
google avatar

Rishabh G.

Yelp
Their sweets are excellent, and the food is great value for money. The best part is that they offer complimentary naan with their curries. The non-vegetarian curries are delicious. The vegetarian curries are not as great. The servers are friendly.
google avatar

Victor G.

Yelp
Raja Sweets' side has it's lights on while the vast dining room doesn't. Minimal decor. Setup is geared for banquets. Buffet no longer offered. Offerings: breads, vegeterian/non vegeterian entrees, seafood, appetizers, tandoori specials, seafoods, drinks Serviced eventually when waiter passed by. Food made to order. All out within 15 minutes Eats: Tandoori Mixed Grills (19.99) -2 jumbo tandoori shrimp juicy/flavorful, chicken slightly dry & moist, seekh kabob-tender & slightly juicy, chicken tikka tasted dry. -chai (2.49) Freshly made to order, pretty flavorful -tandoori wheat roti (free upgrade from naan) Softer than naan, very flaky, healthier than naan -mixed green salad (4.99) Large plate of lettuce, sliced cucumbers, tomato, jalepeno slices, red onions, all fresh tasting. No dressing

Yelp
Wonderful Service with packed boxes for our event. Ranjeet was super helpful. Food was fresh and our customized order was ready on time.
google avatar

Melissa Y.

Yelp
Very impressed by their samosas, which are huge, fresh, and completely stuffed with potato. They come with a green sauce (cilantro) and lightly sweet red sauce, which are phenomenal with the samosas. The online order and pickup process is smooth. I ordered 15 samosas and they were ready when I arrived. Also, their jalebi was delicious and full of syrup. I bought a pound for $11 and it came in a box with decent quantity.

Yelp
This is a really good place for getting a variety of good Indian snacks and sweets. They have a large variety of sweets, from jelebis to burfis to daal moots and all the in between. Service is great. And the ambience is that of a more traditional Indian sweet and snack shop. The prices are reasonable and it is good to know for gifts and parties.

Yelp
This review is for the samosas - the best and so huge - a steal for $1.50 and the chutneys that come along with the samosas are amazing! I tried a bite of the chenna mudki ( I love this sweet dish) and it was not good , same with the Jalebi with jaggery. My Verdict - The savories were much better than the sweets!

Gobindpreet R.

Yelp
The absolute best Punjabi food not just in America, but throughout the continent. The service is absolutely wonderful. The owner, Gyani Ravinder Singh, is the greatest soul you will ever meet. The food is as amazing as the owners humbleness and ability to have fun with his customers. I 1000% guarantee that you will never regret coming here for lunch or dinner, catering, or trying the Punjabi sweets (btw they are also the best!). We had just ordered their services in catering for my sister's Rokha yesterday, and it couldn't have been any better. Raja Sweets made the event so much better. Rokha, engagement, weddings, receptions, or any other event Punjabi or non Punjabi related. As long you love quality Punjabi food, this place needs to be your number 1 pick!

Patrick A.

Yelp
this is a decent Indian restaurant. the food tastes like home cooked. my Indian friend told me that this is where they buy food if they have visitors coming to their house. they also have a lot of Indian sweets that will satisfy your cravings. the place just needed a little tlc. the staff were friendly and nice.

Nash I.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots for the sweets and snacks, always fresh methai! I needed to get 2 large mixed methai platters for a small wedding with my choice. I brought my 2 trays and the lady decorated it with colorful covering and layered the methai as requested. It took sometime to layer the methai but she was patient and very accommodating, a true customer experience. Platters looked awesome and everyone enjoyed the methai from Raja Sweets

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time who was recommended by a friend. I must say, I've come across this place so many times because our dentist is right around the way.. and never seemed appealing just by the looks. But they always say never judge a book by its cover. The food was delicious, the price is not that expensive, and the service was great. There is so much flavor is all the dishes we ordered. The dishes we ordered were: 1) fish pakora (yum!) 2) aloo ghobi masala (it's like orange chicken but cauliflower and so much better) 3) baingan bhertha (if you love eggplant.. omg!) 4) chicken biryani - tasty! 5) lamb Karahi - the lamb was so tender. 6) garlic and plain naan -- super delicious! I am giving it a 4 just because the ambiance is a bit bland and could be spruced up a bit more, but other wise -- everything was top notch! Wish I took pictures of the food but I was so hungry and couldn't stop eating!

Paramjit J.

Yelp
We had Raja Sweets cater our 25th wedding anniversary Akhand Path, and they did an outstanding job from start to finish. The team was extremely professional ensuring the cooking area was clean, organized, and safe by thoughtfully covering the top with a canopy and the floor with a tarp. The food was absolutely delicious! All of our guests were raving about how flavorful and well-prepared everything was. Thank you, Raja Sweets, for making our special occasion even more memorable. 10/10 highly recommended!

Yelp
Craving authentic Indian flavors? Head over to Raja sweets. This casual eatery is a paradise for lovers of Indian sweets and chaat. Their display case boasts an array of tempting desserts that will make your mouth water. We couldn't resist grabbing a few samosas and chole battore. To our delight, they were both incredibly delicious. The samosas were perfection, with a crispy exterior and a flavorful, well-spiced filling. Each samosa was a steal at only $1.25. The chole battore was equally impressive, featuring soft and fluffy bread smothered in a creamy, tangy chickpea curry. Must-Tries: Samosas ($1.25 each) Chole battore Raja Sweets & Indian Cuisine is a gem that offers a fantastic selection of Indian sweets and chaat at affordable prices.

Yelp
place was totally amazing! They did the catering for us and the appetizers and the main entrees were really good please try there foods

Eve L.

Yelp
This place was totally amazing! They did the catering for our event on December 7th and the appetizers and the main entrees were really good. I was blown away how every dish was tasty and they had great presentation. You could tell that the meat had been marinated for a long time and feel apart in your mouth. I highly recommend their catering service! Great job, Raja Sweets!

Maryam T.

Yelp
The food was not good at all and the behavior omg, they do not know how to behave with customers. They are extremely rude and have no sense of hospitality. No one was there and well makes sense. They should better do some courses about hospitality and Customer service.

Yelp
I've stopped in several times to pick up samosas for pot lucks. They are always a hit. Everyone always wants to know where I bought them. And there are never any left. I really like that I can order a good quantity the same day and they are always hot and fresh when I pick them up. My sons enjoy both the vegetable samosas and the lamb samosas. I don't know much of anything about Indian food or sweets but once I stopped in to try some sweets from their colorful display case. When other shoppers saw that I was curious as to what to get they jumped in immediately and helped me to put together the most delicious box of sweets.
google avatar

Kira N.

Yelp
Ordered samosa chat and totally disappointed. You could literally order 2 samosas for $2.50 instead of spending $6 for this lame/dry samosa chat - ‍
google avatar

Najma A.

Yelp
The service is great and they have vast options for sweets, the taste though is up to the person to decide whether it is something they like as individuals or not.
google avatar

Sumeet K.

Yelp
Got few sweets from here. Some of the sweets were stale. My tummy was hurting without realizing that sweets are stale. On the other hand hot items like samosas were good.
google avatar

Vicky Y.

Yelp
Super delicious samosas! The price has been raised to $1.25, but they're literally the size of your fist + they give you gigantic containers of a sweet and sour sauce of sorts and chutney. I got them piping hot and burnt the hell out of my mouth, so it hit the spot! However, the rating is really for the interaction we had with the person ringing us up. We ordered 3 samosas to go, and as he's ringing us up, he asks us if we would like to try some sweets. We say no and he asks again, telling us that we should really try one. He told both of us to choose a sweet we'd like to try and after saying no, with his insistence we got one sweet each. He then told us he would put another one in stating that we would want it because we'd like the first sweet a lot. He then proceeded to charge us and weighed the box too. You're probably thinking, okay, so he charged you for something you wanted, why are you complaining? The fact is that we had said we didn't want the sweets and he insisted and worded it in a way that he was throwing it in for us but ended up adding more product into our order and then charging us. We felt so awkward we ended up just taking it. It didn't cost us very much, but it was just an overall awkward experience that didn't sit very well with me. If your customer is ordering something, don't attempt to sell them more by insisting.

Piyusha G.

Yelp
Everything was good must take place service for catering i love the sweet here called julie it was good you can try here chat as well. Service was very helpful nature and ambience was ok

Sukh P.

Yelp
We recently had a party that was catered by Raja Sweets and the food was delicious! They provided great service with a gol guppe station. Additionally, I have Celiac disease and they were able to explain which items were gluten free and safe for me.

Ravjot K.

Yelp
I had catering done for all my wedding events last year by Raja Sweets, and I still hear compliments to this day. My engagement and any home events, my default go to is always Raja Sweets. The food is incredible and the service is also great. Their mithayi is to die for!! They came in and just got things done, efficiently and professionally, with little guidance needed from us so we were able to focus on the events. Any time the head chef Ravinder Singh is involved, we feel at ease knowing the food will be of the best quality. He has loads of experience and offers great insights and advice on menu items and set up. Please book them for all your events, you won't be sorry!
google avatar

Jane K.

Yelp
Fantastic. The burfi made my blood sugar rise through my gambling debts and I can't even bring myself to be mad. A little cramped and blood-pressure raising parking lot situation are my only complaints.
google avatar

Swetha K.

Yelp
Best Samosas! Call in to order and you can easily pick up your order. Unfortunately they're not on any food delivery apps at the moment (as far as I'm aware). Our neighbor recommended this place to us especially for their samosas and we've been hooked ever since! They , by far, have the best and biggest samosas in the Bay Area that's about $1.25 a piece! Definitely give them a shot! I've only tried the samosas but they also have a large collection of Indian Sweets and snacks too. I believe they have a lunch/dinner menu too but they're probably not a full service restaurant so you'll have to get it to-go.

StupidityInc G.

Yelp
When it comes to food, Raja Sweets never disappoints. Their sweets are among the best, and the food never fails to satisfy. If you're out somewhere and Raja Sweets is catering, you know you have to get in line immediately. And if you're eating in the restaurant, it's always a great experience. The staff is friendly and you can tell they put great effort in providing a wonderful experience for all their customers. They recently catered at the Fremont Gurdwara and their chole bhature was the best item there, hands down (as it always is). If you're looking for Punjabi food, Raja Sweets is the place to get it.
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
Good service and the food was authentic. I had their yellow daal, baigan bharta and an okra dish. Very good! Im looking forward to my next visit and I highly recommend them.

Tara S.

Yelp
We love their sweets, especially Jalebi. We have bought several times from them since past 6 years. They are customer friendly, reliable and quick service.

Chints V.

Yelp
One of the best north indian restaurants in bay area. Try their - malai kofta - chana bhatura - shahi paneer - kadhi pakora All the items were great. Also, naan is complimentary with sabji. Service and ambience are great with ample parking space

Hs K.

Yelp
Decent food and mithai. Only one thing was disappointing , the seekh kabob are not authentic. Those are not cooked fresh on the seekh in a tandoor. Seems like they use pre made sausages cut those in slants and toss in onion etc. Authetic ones are slender with hollow Inside and are medium brown and are juicy. These were so dry.

Ingit M.

Yelp
Be it the quality of food or the service, Raja sweets is great. They went out of their way to accommodate my delivery and even their delivery vendor is so accommodating.

Sonia G.

Yelp
I have ordered catering from Raja Sweets for multiple events. The owner gives me a unique menu for the event every time. The service is great. They offer many services such as chaat stalls which adds elegance to the event. I highly recommend Raja Sweets!

Yelp
Prices have skyrocketed, and quality has really gone downhill. We've been bringing home dinner from Raja for our family for all of Covid. We order about the same amount each time - I love Indian food, so we get enough for leftovers. A year or two ago, it was just over $100 - last night it was $182. Worse, the (butter) chicken is always full of tendons and pieces of bones. The first time it happened, we thought "Oh, yuck. Whoever was on food prep today clearly doesn't know what they were doing." The second time, I thought ok, this is bad, it keeps happening. Last night was the third and final time. Every bite you have to chew and roll around to spit out the fat and bone pieces. I hate to say it, but we're not likely going back. As others have said, there are WAY too many options around here.
google avatar

Ed S.

Yelp
We have an Indian friend and she introduced to us some of their food. She mentioned this place and we decided to try some of their food menus. We ordered the Samosas. These samosas are very delicious. It had potatoes inside and crust dough outside. You have a choice of sweet or spicy sauce. I found out that samosas are one of their favorite recipes. It's an experience to taste this sumptuous food. We also ordered the chicken biryani. It has saffron-flavored basmati rice and spicy chickens. I liked the way the basmati rice was flavored and the spiciness of the chicken. We're used to eating the regular fried rice but this biryani is different and taste so good. I highly recommend both of these items if you want to taste Indian food. The place also serves sweets and the counter has several items. However, we were not able to try any of them. Next time, we will try the other items on their menu.

Aysha S.

Yelp
The best place for meethai. Best veggie samosas. The best gulab jamun and everyone in the family loves it too

Yelp
A gem of a place and one of the bay areas finest Indian mithai shops. It's no wonder then that so many famous bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and many others have visited this place (there are photos on the walls of them visiting). The place has a huge variety of sweets and many Indian families come here during Diwali to stock up on sweets for gifting. Really liked the Jalebi, the variations of carrot mithai, coconut mithai, milk cake and the donut like sweet. Keen to try more. Also the sweets were being freshly prepared as we came in so the quality was excellent. The prices are really reasonable too.

W A.

Yelp
I had heard a lot about their ladoos so I went there and bought some along with Kala jamun. Ladoos were so so but Good Kala jamun!!! Also, pakoras and mirch were good too.
