Come for a hearty Gujarati and Kathiyawadi thali experience—rotating vegetables, kadhi, rotli, and sweets that feel home-cooked. A favorite for families, it shows Oak Tree Road’s depth beyond the usual North Indian hits.

Good taste! Buffet lunch with wide range of items. They have very good selection of hot breads - roti/fulka/bhakri/puran poli. Pani puri and Dahi wada, batata wada were mouthwatering delicious. Recommended for vegetarian lovers..

Went there for Saturday afternoon buffet. Nice Vegetarian place. Roti, Dosa, and pooran polu were fresh. All the sabjis were steaming hot. Kichadi was hot and spicy, the way we wanted. Pani poori was mediocre. Most of the sabji were not spicy and were a little bit on the sweeter side. A couple of dishes were little spicy but enjoyed every bit. First time eating Gujarati food and impressed. One suggestion to owner: We are new to Gujarati food and so recommend to put a name tag to the sabji's so we know what we are eating.

My best friend and I stopped in while shopping on the street, as it was right next to the store we were in. What a nice surprise. The buffet was all vegetarian, offered a variety of favorites and was very yummy and well priced. The owners were so sweet and showed us how the various items were traditionally eaten - which was way yummier than how we were doing it! Great place for lunch!

Google
We arrived and were instantly treated like family. The owner explained everything in the buffet and even served us when he saw that we were unfamiliar with some parts of the meal. I felt like I was visiting my grandfather. He went out of his way to cater to us the entire evening making sure we tried every good thing at the buffet. When he found out we were celebrating our wedding anniversary he gave a special treat on the way out. It was amazing food made with love. We were surprised to come away so full and satisfied with no meat on the menu! It is not posh as far as location but it is comfortable and the kind spirit makes up for all shortcomings.

Google
The ratings don't do justice to this place. Actually it is very personally managed by a family who take care of your overall experience and make sure you try all their specials. Ambience is decent. The food is tasty and has a homely touch. The pani puri, the dosa were good. I like trying new delicacies and enjoyed the gujarati items like undhiyu, besan sabji and other veggies. They had a variety of options that I bet you can't try in one time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some wholesome homely and tasty food.

Google
We went there for lunch on. Friday. The food was really good and tasty and hot. They have a lot of variety and provide fresh roti, puran poli and dosa and the price is also extremely reasonable. Would highly recommend this for a good vegetarian buffet style food. It would be great if there were name tags on the buffet so that people who didn’t know Gujrathi items can understand better.

Google
They heated up the food for me and the roti is spectacular. Definitely a spot if your craving fresh and tasty food. Pani puri shells are fresh

Google
I’m so impressed with the dinner buffet. The selection was huge vegetarian street food like pani puri, rich curries, and gujrati food . Every dish was seasoned perfectly and kept warm. Excellent value for the price. Will definitely come again! Staff and owners was too friendly highly recommended this place

Yelp
Not the usual type of food I eat and I wasn't disappointed! Normally a picky eater but the food was very good and flavorful. The owner was also extremely kind and attentive. Would definitely try again!

Yelp
They have charge over the phone just a day before the evening $20.99 for 30 people, and by the time of the pay , they suddenly charged $5 extra per person. If you know if the festival you charge extra, why not mentioned a day before? On the spot you are making people in position that they have no escape. if we know early we can make decison accordingly, but just to attract customer you keep hiding price??? also the food wasn't that good either. Paneer had some issues as well. KAthiyawad food , no taste? overall people commented me that why you pick such a cheap place? actually it was more expensive than other place though!!! i wont recommended anyone for the food as well , even after you go, please make sure you clear the rates proper. so youre not in situation like us.

Yelp
Well, my friend and I did a Groupon for lunch buffet. We arrived after noon and we were the first customers, I forgot about Indian time :) I think they were surprised that two caucasians came in. I assume the owner, very well dressed gentleman, came out to explain the buffet to us. I think he was surprised that I knew about pani puri. The food was good, we are not vegetarians but wanted to try. Other than the pain puri and some dishes, we were not familiar with most, there were no labels. They were surprised we had Groupons, but I gave them a $7.00 tip, which would have been based on the full price of the buffet. The place in general looks well used, clean, but well used. We will probably not return because we are ROMEOS - retired old men eating out - I felt bad we had Groupons, but frankly what we ate was about worth the Groupon prices.

Yelp
Amazing and homely food!! Mr Amin is an extremely cordial and hospitable gentleman and provides excellent service. The restaurant is a bit old but don't go by looks , the warmth, love and quality of food speaks volumes !! I would definitely stop any number of times to get their healthy, wholesome vegetarian food and they make without onion and garlic as well! Genuinely warm and hospitable owners and some excellent quality food as well! - Srinivas Panth

Yelp
I was bit scared by reading negative reviews but when I went and tried buffet at one of the birthday party hosted at Rajdhani restaurant, I was so amazed by quality food they served with love. Uncle/owner is super-nice :) I am going to have more visits :)

Ektaa G.

Yelp
Good authentic food. And good service as well. The only concern is spice well. It was spicy for me kids. The adults enjoyed Gujarati meal

Yelp
Too expensive for vegetarian and pretty consistent on dirty plates. Plus dig this - as this couple is greedy they take all the tip - so if you are unlucky and drop by here then tip in cash amd away from these greedy owners eyes. our waiter was good - very nice guy very helpful but this place sucks

Yelp
Went to this vegetarian Indian restaurant randomly on a weekday. Ordered ala carte. Gujrati thali was great, Rajdhani spring dosa was good. Garlic Nan was average and paneer tikka masala was below avg. On weekends they offer buffet which they say is quite popular. Definitely a place to go again for thali and buffet.

Yelp
I was here with my wife late afternoon - March 8, 2023. We were both interested as it was a vegetarian place. We are both 1st Gen Indians who know how to cook. The restaurant is clean but very light on service. We were shown a buffet with no labels and were told we could choose from that. No menu presented. There were several items but no indication of what was spicy or not, not to mention it was not even clear what was considered Halwa vs. Uppuma (I don't think it's called that in Gujurati but that's the best approximation I could come up with). Both were placed next to eachother and looked pretty identical leading to confusion about taking the wrong thing on your plate. The Uppuma had a layer of oil on the top of it and had an almost doughy consistency and it appeared the oil might have been trying to "separate" or dilute the thickness. You better alert your cardiologist if you plan on eating it. The server brought one small pitcher of water and later some rotis, and stuffed parathas. The stuffed paratas were sweet and savory. Again, no indication of what was what. Moreover, the waiter did not at any time inquire about how the food was. The food was not inedible, once you got past eating unlabled hot items, just very boring. We came to eat at a restaurant with the idea that if we could make it at home, why come out to eat? This food tasted like we went to someone's indian person's house and it was made there - most Indians would understand what I am talking about. You politely smile and eat when you're a guest... but this is a restaurant!! There was no flavoring to indicate that the preparer tried to differentiate savory items from eachother. Also, all of the items were doused in oil. What was most glaring is that for a buffet, no price is listed either by way of signage or notice in the restaurant. I thought... OK... vegetarian buffet would probably be about 11-13 dollars since there was no meat dishes. SUBHASH! $20.00 PER PLATE AND no option on the receipt to leave less that 18% tip. It felt like quite the racket. So for about $50.00, we ate very ordinary food, with no idea of what we were eating, alongside with inattentive service and a surprise sticker shock. I will not be returning.

Yelp
Food and ambience were both good. The dahi vada was especially amazing. Good variety.

Yelp
Awesome lunch buffet for 15 people on Friday as requested. Owner is very humble lady and arranged for everything we asked for. We will visit again! Thank you for providing great service to all of our guests invited on that day.

Yelp
Went for a weekday buffet dinner, felt curries were not fresh at all. Pretty much all the food was very blend, tasteless, may be because it appeared it was reheated again and again. One fresh thing was roti.

Yelp
We went to this place on Sunday late afternoon 4pm. We literally tried every food at the buffet and everything was just awesome and tasty. They serve freshly made wheat roti and bajra roti. This place is just a heaven for a foodie. This place is usually empty but don't go by that. Please try this restaurant. Authentic Gujrati Indian food. I will visit this restaurant again.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Ok everyone please take heed to what I'm saying. Preliminaries out of the way.... no I am not Indian and don't have a mom or grandma that can make me authentic Indian food! HOWEVER I AM A FOOD LOVER and have always loved Indian food!!!! So, for all the food lovers this is a MUST, you have too, I would question your intelligence if you don't, I repeat you MUST TRY this place!!! First off, no it's not crowded and for a while I was the only one dining during my visit. Do not let that scare you!!!! You will be treated like royalty I tell you! The owners, hands down are some of the most hospitable people and try to connect with their customers! The buffet options were plentiful, all so different, but delicious!! The highlight..... I don't think you're ready ....... THE HIGHLIGHT was the Nicely buttery, thin, and crispy roti!! Omg deliciously fantastic. And on top of that they give you two additional different breads... a sweet one and a wheat one! To die for!!!! It was so good I had to give the owners a hug! Literally! PLEASE come try this place! They should be much more busy than they are. This is homemade food cooked with love and I'm sure you won't regret it!! Thank you for a great food experience! I will be back with all my close friends and family!

Yelp
I went on 09/21/17 To be honest food was excellent... service was good... Food taste like a homemade which is good but i think maybe thts the reason nobody shows up in this restaurant ... i live away from my family so i feel good having this kind of food... i never leave a review for any restaurant but i felt bad for this restaurant because everything was perfect still nobody was there... if this goes on its hard for this business to survive... Then how can i feel good without having this kind of food once in a while,,, Cz of tht am leaving an review Let me know if someone else feel like wat i felt

Yelp
Nothing like the other Rajdhani's I have been to before. The food was mediocre. A dirty fan in the corner pointing towards the food instead of the tables. Maybe to keep the flies away. Buffet had 1 option for sweet only. Food wasn't even labeled so you're playing a guessing game of the dish you are eating. Definitely not worth the $20. This experience spoils the reputation of Rajdhani I had.

Yelp
Great times and lots of hospitality great birthday love. Good food just need spinach saag paneer

Yelp
Went to this place on the weekend. The food was very bland and extremely oily. Food was not fresh. Wouldn't recommend this if want some authentic indian food!

Moni C.

Yelp
We walked in with no expectation and just by the pure veg food sign on the door and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Best thing about the buffet ( dinner buffet) was everything tastes like home cooked food and not at all like restaurant food. Taste was awesome and they have a very good spread. On top of it they have puran-poli, wheat roti and bajra roti, along with dosa. There is ghee and jaggery for someone who wants it- how much more can on ask for. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who craves home cooked food at a place away from home!

Noel D.

Yelp
healthy, vegetarian food, lot of variety, all delicious.

Alok S.

Yelp
One of my friend recommended this place for Gujarati food. Place has plenty of variety for the foodie like me. Out of those 20-25 items, I like their sweet pickle, Jalebi and Puran poli. I would definitely give a sought out to Puran Poli which was like filled with ghee and lentil and dissolved in mouth as soon as I had it. Being an expert Pani puri fan I can definitely say it needs improvement
google avatar

Milind S.

Yelp
Good variety food Buffett. Friendly and good service. If you are looking for Gujarati food, this is place to go.

Ashwin B.

Yelp
Brilliant gujarati spread! The pickles, rotla, puran poli, ringan shaak, kadhi, khichadi, val ni dal, dal dhokli, bajra in kadhi were top notch, the dhokla, batata vada were good, while the dahi vada and undhiyu could have been better. We were pleased with the quality and taste of the food, very homemade like, well seasoned and spiced and authentic, just like you would find a gujarati household. I would certainly visit again.

Yelp
When we went on Friday at about 8:30 pm, the food was very cold, it appeared very unappealing and was tasteless. We had to search for something to eat from the multiple containers. Nothing drew our attention. except chapati, nothing appeared fresh. Panipuri water was green colored tasteless water. I stopped taking anything in my plate and I asked the hostess if we can get any warm edible food or can she warm something. she mentioned that take whatever you want, then she will warm it. some how we managed to eat something. Toss a coin before you go and hope that you get something worth eating.
google avatar

Sonal A.

Yelp
Very good food. And very good customer service! The food is pure vegetarian (Gujarati) please go empty stomach as they have plenty options and you'd definitely want to try everything! They give fresh hot Rotis & puran poli (stuffed sweet bread)!
google avatar

Neha M.

Yelp
Worst food, most of the food items seemed old and very dry. The pani for golgappas had no taste at all. Rest of the dishes were way too spicy.

Dickson R.

Yelp
Food was Cold and it looked stale. service was slow, I had to remind twice that I had asked for bread. By the time the bread arrived food was very very cold. Food is ordinary. I liked the Puran Poli, it was very nice.

Ladybug B.

Yelp
I loved the buffet, lot of items, tasted delicious and freshly made. Will be my go-to place for Gujarati food.

Deepen S.

Yelp
Had gone over the weekend and enjoyed the pure veg Gujarati food. Definitely value for money given the variety of dishes that were available. Worth a visit if you like Vegetarian food and no second thoughts if you are a gujju.

Priya K.

Yelp
We did not care for this food. We found most menu items too sweet for our palate. Had I known this was cuisine from Gujarat, we would have gone Punjabi or South Indian.

T G.

Yelp
Excellent food. This is a unique cuisine from Gujarat, a western state of India. One of a kind. They owners are very hospitable and you get an experience of home cooked food. We had the buffet. They have spicy and sweet items to suite all palettes.

D G.

Yelp
Good tasty food for reasonable price. Had a hearty meal. All vegetarian. Pleasantly surprised by the fresh made bread basket. Hot Puran poli right off the tawa. Missi roti. Yumm. Curries are flavorful and not too spicy, that means you will go for seconds.

Pranshu P.

Yelp
Best gujrati food you can get... kadhi.. puran poli.. sev tamatar ki sabzi.. dal dhokli.. rotla... what not.... there are more vegetarian options in India than palak paneer or malai kofta.... Must visit... !!

Jaz G.

Yelp
Looks can be deceiving. Upon entering, the buffet looks great with a lot of variety. However the quality is actually poor. The food is stale and so dried up, as if it's been reheated multiple times. Also half the food in the buffet was cold. One of us got food poisoning after the meal. For $15 pp, it would be wiser to go to one of hundreds of other places in Edison for food.

Garima N.

Yelp
It's an amazing restaurant, very clean, service is awesome and the owner and his wife are always present and very gracious hosts!! We will definitely come here again and refer family and friends also!

Monty B.

Yelp
Fraud! We bought a Groupon deal for the lunch buffet. I must have been in a fog, because the deal said that you get two vouchers for the lunch buffet, tues thru friday for $27, while the normal price is $51.80. I should have realized that $27 sounds just like a normal price for two buffet lunches at a Indian restaurant, maybe more than normal. When we got there, we found out that the normal price for one lunch buffet is just $13! So, we paid $27 for a Groupon "deal", where anyone that just walks in only pays $26! Even worse, with the Groupon certificate you can only use it for one lunch at a time, so we'd have to go back twice to get two lunch buffets for $27, while you can have two just walking in for $26! No reasoning with them either, so we walked out. We did see the small buffet, no way that was ever worth $51.80. We complained to Groupon and got our money back, but amazingly no one at Groupon cares, and this totally FRAUDULENT deal is still up on Groupon! Go take a look. When a restaurant does this, you can only imagine what they might be doing in the kitchen to make a buck. Stay away. There are plenty of honest, ethical Indian restaurants in Edison to choose from.

Archana M.

Yelp
Be Aware if you are buying their groupon. The owner refuses to accept it as it says on the site. She will only take 1 person free and the other has to pay full price for the buffet which is $ 13. You have to repeat the same thing again.
