This Week’s New Hotels

"Owned by the royal family of Jaipur, Rajmahal Palace is grand in all the traditional ways, with high archways and glittering chandeliers. But the otherworldly interior design — rich with whimsical details, symmetrical shapes, and bold pops of color — looks as meticulously composed as a Wes Anderson film." - MICHELIN Guide

Rajmahal Palace Raas Jaipur

"Jaipur’s rose-tinted Rajmahal Palace, an Art Deco–inflected abode that was once home to the city’s maharaja, is done up in a riot of color—with 46 gorgeous bespoke wallpapers, from fuchsia to mint green, giving the whole place the feel of a Wes Anderson set. Built in 1729 by a royal family of Rajasthan, it has since been transformed into an eclectic playground for design buffs with well-chosen antiques and Art Deco furniture, the co-creation of Princess Diya Kumari and designer Adil Ahmad. The rooms themselves are vast and have welcomed relatively recent royal guests (considering the age of the building), like Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh. Doubles from $769."

Fantastic experience. The manager Amit and his team are running a very well-managed operation at the property, making sure all the smallest needs and beyond are promptly taken care of. Will definitely recommend booking your stay with them. ||The property itself is stunning, with sprawling lawns, top-tier hospitality and dining, and beautiful rooms that truly make you feel like royalty from the get-go. ||They also helped us with a beautifully curated personal guided tour of the City Palace that was really memorable. ||Looking forward to visiting the property again on our next visit to Jaipur! ||Once again - a special mention to Amit for his wonderful hospitality.

It was a great stay at a great place. Exceeding all our expectations. The hotel itself is an oasis in a big city. We felt comfortable and safe. The property itself is in a very good condition, smells history on the one side, but everything is up-to-date and renewed, on the other. The restaurant and the bar are very nice, the menu is quite big and you can choose anything up to your taste, and the staff is very mature and professional. We would love to come back next time with our children.

A lovely small boutique hotel. Staff are warm and charming and couldn’t do enough for us. Large grounds with some lovely internal decor but also a bit dated in some areas esp gym. Would suit traveller who prefers intimate quiet vibe. Dinner was excellent but breakfast is a la carte and a bit bland.

Just brilliant. Excellent central location. Great food and even better service. finest cocktails in all of Jaipur or perhaps Rajasthan. A very special mention for Abhijeet, Arun ji and Sumit for their welcoming and gracious service always! High recommended and far far ahead of the dated and tired Rambagh Palace. If you are lucky - you may bump into the King of Jaipur casually strolling in the Palace's gardens.

This place is magical. The most beautiful pink Palace. Beautiful gardens and the most gorgeous rooms and suites. A gorgeous pool to sit and relax too. Unique as it has had a rich history of VIP’s staying there, with a gorgeous collection of photos. The service was so good, Adhi was incredible at providing amazing service and engaged with such a great sense of humour. Jyoti helped us with all of our needs in settling us in and anything else we needed. We would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends.

Amazing Hotel in a palatial building that is way different to the usual 5 star luxury hotel chains you’d usually experience. Gorgeous building probably few hundred years old. Beautifully maintained. Unmatched service! Restaurant staff in particular are some of the best we’ve experienced.

Amazing hotel and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s like a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city with stunning rooms and garden - very Wes Anderson vibes throughout. The staff went above and beyond with every request ( special mention to Bharti and Jyoti who organised experiences and catered to every single request of ours with patience and a smile). We travelled with a 7 and 11 year old and all experiences and recommendations were organised and made keeping them in mind which we really appreciated. We will definitely be back.
