"Owned by the royal family of Jaipur, Rajmahal Palace is grand in all the traditional ways, with high archways and glittering chandeliers. But the otherworldly interior design — rich with whimsical details, symmetrical shapes, and bold pops of color — looks as meticulously composed as a Wes Anderson film." - MICHELIN Guide

"Jaipur’s rose-tinted Rajmahal Palace, an Art Deco–inflected abode that was once home to the city’s maharaja, is done up in a riot of color—with 46 gorgeous bespoke wallpapers, from fuchsia to mint green, giving the whole place the feel of a Wes Anderson set. Built in 1729 by a royal family of Rajasthan, it has since been transformed into an eclectic playground for design buffs with well-chosen antiques and Art Deco furniture, the co-creation of Princess Diya Kumari and designer Adil Ahmad. The rooms themselves are vast and have welcomed relatively recent royal guests (considering the age of the building), like Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh. Doubles from $769."

Had the most amazing day and evening staying at the Rajmahal palace. My sister and I needed a calm escape amidst our travels and this hotel was exactly what we needed. The property is phenomenal and the room was stunning, very cool to learn about the history of the palace as well. Fantastic service - we were particularly impressed with Amit (nicknamed “Happy”) as he made us feel very well taken care of during our stay. And the spa is amazing!! The most relaxing massage. If you’re in Jaipur and crave some luxury and incredible hospitality I strongly recommend!

Staying at RAAS Rajmahal Palace was a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, we experienced a royal welcome. The check-in process was prompt, and the staff's attention to detail was impeccable. Special thanks to Vishal, whose warm hospitality and professionalism made us feel truly welcome.||||The property is an architectural wonder, exuding elegance and charm. Our suite was a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, and every corner of the palace was beautifully preserved. The breakfast was an absolute delight with its à la carte menu offering fresh and delectable options.||||The highlight of our stay was the option to upgrade to one of their exquisite suites, which added a touch of grandeur to our experience. The overall atmosphere was serene and inviting, making it feel less like a hotel and more like a warm, welcoming home.||||This was easily one of the most memorable stays I've ever had, and RAAS Rajmahal Palace will undoubtedly be my only choice for accommodation in Jaipur in the future.

I honestly don't even know where to start with this review because my stay at Rajmahal Palace was pretty incredible. I was here for my close friend's wedding, and I travel A LOT (like, probably too much), but this place is different.||||You know how sometimes you stay somewhere fancy and it feels a bit stiff and formal? This place is the opposite kind of. Don't get me wrong - it's incredibly luxurious (I mean, I stayed in the Queen Elizabeth suite, which is exactly as incredible as it sounds!), but what really got me was how it felt like being welcomed into someone's amazing home rather than just another hotel.||||I have to talk about the people most because they literally made me emotional when I had to leave. Not sure I’ve ever felt that way leaving a hotel before. But that's what the entire staff was like here. ||||Sumit -My mom has very high standards when it comes to service, and she turned to me one day and said he was the kindest person who had ever served her. That's not even the best part though - there was this shy little boy staying there, maybe 10 or 11 years old, and watching him with engage with him was lovely. He treated this kid like a little brother and just made him feel so special.||||Manish at the bar - this guy is just incredible at what he does. Like, yes, his cocktails are amazing but it's his personality that makes you want to hang out at the bar. By the end of our stay, it felt like catching up with a friend rather than ordering drinks from a bartender. We actually exchanged contacts because he's just that kind of person you want to stay in touch with.||||Bishal - took me on this fascinating tour of the property and went WAY out of his way to help me with random things, like getting my shoes cleaned off-property.||||Abhi - this guy has a sixth sense for knowing exactly when you need something. He was always there making sure everything was perfect with the food and service, but in this really natural way.||||Bharti - she was incredibly kind. She gave my mom this incredible personal tour of the property, and seeing them together, you'd think they were old friends catching up. She has this way of making you feel very special. ||||They've done this amazing job of keeping all the historical charm while adding these splashes of color and modern touches. They've managed to make it feel super comfortable and current while keeping all the incredible historical details.||||And the food - everything was just spot on, whether it was traditional Rajasthani dishes (which were mind-blowing and my favorites) or international cuisine which my sister preferred on a couple occasions, she ended up loving the quesadilla randomly. ||||But I keep coming back to the people. You know how sometimes you stay at a super fancy hotel and everything's perfect but something's missing? Nothing's missing here. These people - the entire team - they don't just do their jobs perfectly, they make you feel like you belong there.||||I know this review is getting super long but I just can't help it - this place is special and so I felt it was worth the time to give my feedback. I've stayed at luxury hotels, but this was different. It wasn't just a nice place to stay - it was an experience that I'm genuinely going to remember forever.

Terrible Experience - Not Safe, Avoid at All Costs! My wife and I booked this hotel for our stay in Jaipur, India, expecting a safe and comfortable place to rest during our travels from the USA. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be nothing short of a nightmare. Around 11 PM on the night 1, while we were in our room sleeping, the ceiling suddenly collapsed on us. The room's fan was bent, and as debris fell, my wife was injured with some scratches and a small injury to her head. Thankfully, we weren’t more seriously hurt, but this incident left us shaken and traumatized. The hotel did offer us a refund and free meals, but after such a terrifying experience, we couldn’t trust the safety of the place anymore. We chose this hotel based on its appearance and amenities, but after the ceiling collapse, it was clear that the building was poorly maintained. It didn’t seem safe, and the lack of guests staying there only added to our concerns. We immediately cut our trip short after the incident and decided to stay at another hotel. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere. It was a terrifying experience that left us with lasting trauma, and it’s not worth the risk to your safety.

Stopped in for a late bite and drink, and we were lucky enough to be greeted by Manish. He gave great recommendations (loved the nasi goreng), made incredible cocktails, and we were blown away by his passion and knowledge of culinary arts. If you find yourself at the Rajmahal, be sure to seek out Manish!
