We came for the drag brunch event, excited for a fun show and good food--but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall.
The service and food were the biggest letdowns. Our original server was kind and attentive, and the drinks we did get were delicious. But right before the show started, she told us she had to go bartend downstairs and closed out our tab, saying another server would take over. No one ever did. We waited 45+ minutes for a pretzel and cheese fries, and I had to go downstairs just to get a status update on our food. When it finally arrived, the fries were not made according to the menu description--they were missing the pork belly and ranch, and were topped with thick, clumpy cheese sauce.
I brought them to the bar, and the bartender said she'd have them fixed. What came back was cold pork belly bites on top, a little more of the same clumpy cheese, and still no ranch. No one checked on us for the rest of the brunch event, and we would've gladly ordered another round--but we were never given the opportunity.
The drag performers themselves were fantastic--talented, vibrant, and so much fun to watch. The only downside was the layout, which split the audience into two disconnected sections. I'd love to see this event held in the courtyard next time so the queens can interact more easily with the whole crowd.
