Raise a Toast to Bartenders With Tequila Cocktails at These North Carolina Bars | Eater

"Walkable to nearby bars along Glenwood, Raleigh Beer Garden is a stop-in staple, a three-story one at that. With yoga, live DJs, lobster boils, and bingo, it’s a space fit for the whole neighborhood, like any thriving community hub. While both local and international beers are the speciality here, there’s a full bar with Teremana and beyond, and busy bartenders making cocktails happen. As for food, there’s a lot to choose from among pizzas and burgers, but it’s almost a requirement to enjoy a crushable beer battered pretzel or two." - Vox Creative

This place was magical! It’s tucked away and unassuming but so spacious and a ton of great spots to hang out, relax, and socialize. While this could be a super cute date spot, it is also perfect for families as well! The food was pretty good- I’d totally go back for their soft pretzel! The Caesar salad was kinda average (although I LOVED the dressing) and the fries were fine. While the person working the minigolf station was super personable and helpful, the service with the food was lacking. Granted we were dining on the mini golf course so maybe service is better elsewhere in the establishment but our food came to us with no plates for our group of 6 to divvy up the food. We asked for plates but after about 10 minutes (plus the person we asked passing us with no acknowledgement) I went up to the main part of the restaurant and asked for plates which I brought out to our table myself. We also had to ask for utensils and napkins. All-in-all I’d 1000% come back, but would probably just come for the games, vibes and maybe some drinks or snacks.

Nice atmosphere with the trees growing through the building. Several floors with indoor and outdoor seating. It would be impossible to leave here without finding a beer you like. All the normal selections in addition to craft, local, and imported beer. Great way to spend a night or afternoon in Raleigh!

Google
Excellent venue! In town for a weekend and this was the first place on our list. So impressed and pleased after the first day, we came back the next. Play mini golf and have a beer? Yes please! Excellent food, excellent service. Will be back!

Was nice I could bring my dog here but the food was not good. I ordered the poutine and left off the gravy. Food comes and I get a bowl of fries with crumbled cheese on it. The poutine was supposed to include cheese curds. I asked the waiter where the cheese curds were and she said that this is what the poutine was supposed to have and nothing was wrong. She went and asked the kitchen and they said it was correct. The menu said mozzarella cheese AND cheese curds. I’m not sure what these cheese crumbles were supposed to be but they’re definitely not cheese curds. Waitress was nice about it and did the right thing by offering me another meal. I had some pizza which was fine but they also forgot the marinara sauce on so it was pesto pizza. In addition, waitress said a flight of beer would be more cost effective than ordering individual 5 oz beers but upon getting the bill, it was all priced individually. Also, the beer tasted old. They clearly have too many beers on tap to be able to keep up with all of them.

Awesome beer spot with a killer backyard! Beer Garden is one of those places you keep coming back to. The vibe is super chill—long wooden tables, string lights, plants everywhere, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for hanging out with friends, a date, or even solo with a book. The beer selection is insane: local craft brews, international favorites, always ice-cold, and the staff’s recommendations are spot-on (shoutout for the seasonal IPA!). Prices are fair for the quality. Food is on point too—the BBQ wings and giant pretzel are perfect for sharing (or not, haha). Everything fresh and generous portions. Service is friendly and attentive without being pushy. I absolutely loved the back area with the games zone—cornhole, giant Jenga, the works. It’s a blast! One thing to fix: the bathrooms were dirty with water all over the floor. They really need to check that detail more often. Highly recommended overall. Already planning my next visit! 🍻

Google
This beer garden place has hundreds of taps beer points to taste and drink. You name the beer and they have it. We went there to taste some beer but to sit on the couch, we had to buy some food. We ended up with french fries ! Ambience is bit rustic and dark but in the backyard they have a beautiful garden with putt golf. Outside ambience is very nice but inside is too noisy and over crowded. Looks like everyone loves this place !!

Google
Raleigh Biergarten is a great place to try a huge selection of beers. Food is mediocre but not bad, french fries were tasty. Beer prices are on point in the selection is huge. Definitely, bartender in servers were all very helpful. Go for the beer without a doubt

Google
We visited this place with high hopes. However, it turned out to be a dud. We got a place to sit as soon as we went in as it was a Thursday. We ordered a lot of stuff - 8 Buffalo Wings, Meat Lovers Pizza, Caesar's Salad, Filet Slider and Cheesy Fries for starters. The wings were okay and so was the pizza. Their Caesar's Salad has Mayonnaise and there was more cheese than fries. For mains, we ordered the Bacon & Bleu Burger, Jalapeno Cheddar "Smash" Burger, Filet Medallions. All food was meh. We washed this down with many of their beers. Yet, we couldn't get over this taste. The service itself was also wonky - mixing up our orders and general mis-management. However, the environment was lively and inviting. Might come back here for this.

Yelp
Easily the best place we found in the area! Chill vibes, lots of people but still chill. Tons of beers and it's oddly relaxing despite the crowds (I say this as a veteran with ptsd soooo). The price point is honestly good. We must've sat and drank for 5hrs, and had about I don't know 10-15 beers between 2 of us (not full pints). I think we spent maybe $125? (And $45 was tip.) I preferred the lower beer bar. It's local beers, whereas upstairs is domestic/import. We spent more time downstairs. We shouldn't have left! We did get the pork belly poutine--amazing!!! Ben and Matt, you're awesome!

Yelp
No thanks! "Violations included a small live baby rodent observed in the kitchen and a live roach observed along the walls in the kitchen, a tomato slicer seen with food debris and rodent feces and cleaning needed of all shelving throughout the kitchen due to food debris and rodent feces."

Yelp
We came for the drag brunch event, excited for a fun show and good food--but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall. The service and food were the biggest letdowns. Our original server was kind and attentive, and the drinks we did get were delicious. But right before the show started, she told us she had to go bartend downstairs and closed out our tab, saying another server would take over. No one ever did. We waited 45+ minutes for a pretzel and cheese fries, and I had to go downstairs just to get a status update on our food. When it finally arrived, the fries were not made according to the menu description--they were missing the pork belly and ranch, and were topped with thick, clumpy cheese sauce. I brought them to the bar, and the bartender said she'd have them fixed. What came back was cold pork belly bites on top, a little more of the same clumpy cheese, and still no ranch. No one checked on us for the rest of the brunch event, and we would've gladly ordered another round--but we were never given the opportunity. The drag performers themselves were fantastic--talented, vibrant, and so much fun to watch. The only downside was the layout, which split the audience into two disconnected sections. I'd love to see this event held in the courtyard next time so the queens can interact more easily with the whole crowd.

Yelp
Raleigh Beer Garden is a lively multi-level spot with a massive beer selection and a fun, energetic atmosphere that's great for groups and anyone who wants a true bar vibe. The outdoor seating is one of the best parts -- the patio and garden area give you a nice break from the hustle inside and it's a great place to hang out when the weather is good. On busy nights it does get loud and crowded, and service can slow down, which is pretty normal for a place this popular. The main downside is the bathrooms -- they aren't always the cleanest during peak hours and could definitely be better. Overall, it's a solid place to grab drinks with friends, especially if you can snag a table outside.

Yelp
If you love wings, the dry rub are the best I have ever had!!!! (The fries are very salty...so beware if you aren't a salt lover) I give this place a 5 star for the atmosphere, plethora of beer options, and a place to really chill with whoever you are with. The vines, trees and lushness that surrounds and is entwined throughout makes this place extra unique.
google avatar

Yelp
Really neat place with a lot of seating- indoor/outdoor seating with a TON of beers and ciders on tap. Each floor will have a different set of options so you have to walk up and down it to find the one you're looking for. Triple Jam is the best for me. I was a little surprised to find that one glass of Triple Jam was about $8- not great pricing in my opinion. The food is also pretty pricey but tasty. They ended up being out of multiple food items (one being all pizza) on a Saturday so not sure why but was disappointed. The cheesy fries with pork belly were AMAZING but still like $12 Parking is a huge hassle anywhere on Glenwood- we ubered to avoid the frustration, especially on a weekend They need to fix the outlet in the women's bathroom- water and electricity had me worried to ever use the hand dryer. Can't be safe. Overall a good visit occasionally but a pricey one for some beers but amazing options.

Yelp
OMG! The beer-battered pretzels here are AMAZING. Like, seriously, 10/10. If you come here and don't try them, what are you even doing? PLEASE TRY THEM. The ambiance is super chill and fun. They've got a little golf setup in the back, bean bag toss, and they're definitely into their greenery vibe with that green turf aesthetic. Feels cozy. Bonus points for the outdoor heating. Everything about this place feels homey. The people here are super nice, and the whole vibe just makes you want to stay for hours. I loved it and would 100% come back. Great food, great atmosphere, great people. What more do you need? TLDR: get the beer battered pretzel.

Yelp
How can you not get good vibes walking into a three story building with 400+ tap beers from local micro brews to world wide brewers! Brought some friends from out of Town who were impressed. We hit the local NC beer den on first floor. The bar tender was very helpful matching our preferred styles/taste with our three different desires. Look at my picture of only one wall of taps. We retired to back of facility where they have lots of seating, a couple more small bars, several cornhole boards, a miniture golf coarse, several television monitors. We had several beers and played a few matches of cornhole and called it an afternoon. We were lucky to be there in afternoon as there was no problem finding parking.

Yelp
I recently coordinated a work event here and we truly had a great time. Food It was standard bar food that my team members were able to enjoy. My one request would be to add vegan options to the menu. There was one, but would love more options. Service Amy and her team were AMAZING! They were on it. No slow down in the food levels and was available if we had any questions. Ambiance It was very relaxed with a mini golf course in the back. The best part was trivia. Our team did not know it would've been trivia night that night. However, we were excited to participate and ended up winning. Overall, if I'm ever back in Raleigh, I will be stopping here.

Yelp
Rude. Says open at 1030 on Google Maps. I was rudely told they weren't open till 11am...this after a 30 minute walk in the rain w 2 dogs. Read the room people. I could have easily been accommodated in this weather but no. Update your hours! Very unprofessional.

Yelp
Went last night with a gf, SO GOOD!! You have to try the Benedict Pizza!! (No eggs dont worry!) Wine was 10/10 Our server said she just started, but you couldnt tell! Very attentive & nice! & was helpful when we asked for suggestions! Sorry we forgot your name! :)

Yelp
Food and service were both okay. The host was great and very accommodating when we changed our minds and decided to sit outside. Our server seemed to not know much about the menu. Can't blame her on not knowing all of the beers though as there are over 300 taps. We ordered dry rub wings to share. They came out looking alright but we discovered that they were burnt as we flipped each one over. As if the staff had intentionally tried to hide the burnt sides. I like a little char but this was about 75% burned. Too hungry to complain so we ate them anyway and we were able to get the flavor of the dry rub through which was pretty good. I'm sure if I went again I would have a different, hopefully better, experience.

Yelp
I played miniature golf at RBG's new "Hot Shots" 18 hole miniature golf course out back last week. I had two buddies in town for a river rafting trip up in WV. We had a great time and had the RBG's delicious tavern burgers. I highly recommend this place. If you can't find a beer you like at the RBG, perhaps you just don't like beer. Try one of the ciders!

Yelp
I was out and about hanging with hubby and his brother, one of our stops was Raleigh Beer Garden. We walked around back to check out their outdoor patio. It was a bit hot so we decided to sit inside. We looked over their extensive beer menu and I ordered a flight, my go-to. -Guava Guapo - really good IPA, slight guava flavor, on the tart/tangy side. -Caprese Pizza - Italian Pilsner. Kind of citrusy, light. -Boat Soda - key lime cream ale, my favorite of the bunch. Smooth, refreshing, great summer beer. -Southern Basil - farmhouse ale. My least favorite of the bunch. It was too bitter for my taste. I tried an amber that Hubby ordered, it was smooth, drinkable and very tasty. I would definitely return to Raleigh Beer Garden. The number of beer options was impressive, lots of different styles to choose from.

Yelp
Food was fabulous, the beer selection would satisfy anyone, and service was great! There really is no downside to here, and I cannot wait to come back. I especially loved seeing the bar area with ALL the taps! And they even had a window into their keg room! Just amazing!

Abbey W.

Yelp
Came back and was completely disappointed. The hostess took us to a table that she picked the trash off of and sat us, clearly at a dirty table covered in crumbs. We went to the bathroom to wipe it down and the paper was black with dirt and grime. Was asked to close out before we got any of our food and drink because it was a shift change and then was never asked if we wanted anything after that. I get it's a beer garden but it was so sticky. Truly a disgusting experience.

Surinder G.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Raleigh -- the vibe here is always on point. They have an insane beer selection (literally hundreds of options), and the staff actually knows their stuff, which makes trying new beers way easier. The outdoor seating area is perfect, whether it's a chill afternoon or a busy weekend night. The rooftop is the real highlight: great views, good music, and a fun crowd without feeling too packed. Food's solid too I usually get the mac and cheese bites or wings, and they never miss. If you're looking for a place to hang out with friends, have a few drinks, and actually enjoy the atmosphere, this is it. Definitely one of Raleigh's best spots to unwind.

Yelp
I'm feeling heated right now but I'll save it to the end. The end bumped me from 3.8 to a 8.5. Stick with me. We arrived shortly after opening. I checked in with the hostess, letting her know we had our dog in tow and she couldn't have been more gracious. She let us pick our table (really well covered space and very clean) and said she'd be right back with a bowl of water for the pup. She was really charming. 5 stars. Our server was a bit less experienced and probably 3 stars. The person expediting the orders was definitely 5 stars but apparently no one cares to consider this when rating. I'll explain these stars but don't worry. They'll come back to the story later. We ordered two burgers: the bacon & bleu burger and the jalapeno cheddar "smash" burger. My husband *loved* his burger. My smash burger was, indeed, a "smash burger". The code here is the ". It was a "smash-like" burger. It definitely had a char grill flavor but lacked the crispy, fatty flavor I associate with a smash burger. I asked for the jalapeno mayo on the side 'cause you never know how spicy those spicy's can get. It was super mild. It could have benefitted with some acidity like pickles or mustard. So my burger was 3 stars & hubs was 4 stars. Overall 3.5 Ketchup wasn't on the table so we asked for it because...fries. :) Their fries are skinny with salt & pepper. I liked 'em but they did need ketchup, lol. Here's where we start using some math. Right now, we have = 5+3+3.5+=3.8 Then where I tip the scales. The table next to us had two dogs. Each dog had bowls of water provided by the hostess. But as the expeditor brought out a platter full of food for 6 adults and 2 kids, one of the dogs went for the water. Tripped the food expeditor, who kept kept it all pretty much under control except for a one spilled plate. She couldn't have been more apologetic even though it wasn't her fault. She comped an empty beer plus food items, kept apologizing and it made me kinda' angry none of them told her "it's okay, it wasn't your fault". We're nearly into the Olympics so I'm keeping this competitive. Prior, we were sitting at an overall score of 3.8. That woman's heroics was a solid 5 stars. Now we're at an 8.5. But that doesn't exist here on Yelp. So now I'm adjusting my 3.8 rating to a 5 rating. Overall, when I read reviews, most of the lowest rated are related to service. We couldn't have had better service. My only (small, singular) gripe is: they have a pet menu but it didn't find it's way to our table. The other is: for a 300+ taps bar, there was no beer menu. My husband asked for a pilsner and I guess we got one but we're not sure, lol. Don't let the mediocre score scare you off.

Ken W.

Yelp
My first time going there, they gave me raw chicken tenders and when I told them that they messed up, they got an attitude with me and never replaced my food or gave me a refund

Jason H.

Yelp
Had an amazing time at Raleigh Beer Garden drinking some Happy Dad Seltzers! Vibe was amazing and lots of activities to do.

Scotty L.

Yelp
What great place to hangout with friends or family or both! Do you like draft beer and mini golf, if so, you're going to love this place. They feature more than 386 draft beers, 144 taps on the first floor featuring all NC breweries. The second floor known as the "International" floor, features 222 taps representing breweries from the rest of the country and around the world. The rooftop features 12 rotating taps as well as another 24 taps located in the "event field" in the back. Do you like mini golf, you have to check out the space in the back, it's amazing. In the very front of the Beer Garden as you walk in, there is a fully stocked liquor bar serving up your favorite cocktails, wine and other spirits. Pro tip, ask for Ashley, she is amazing!

Nicole M.

Yelp
We love Beer Garden and go all the time! Make sure to stop by and order some happy dads!

Yelp
Went here b/c what else do you do when you're in a new area? Of course you look for places to drink and eat! The one super cool thing about this place is how friendly they are to dogs. There were no less than 4 dogs at a time outside the whole time we were there (including our dog). They also have a ton of taps. That's about where the good stuff ends. From here the food was very basic. For an area that can be very competitive in the food industry, they really need to beef up the quality. The food felt/tasted microwaved and lackluster. The beer - while they did have a large selection, you can truly taste lines needed to be sanitized. Overall, it's ok. Hopefully they clean up some of the small things because the potential of this place is off the charts. Food Taste: 2 Overall Service: 4 Value of food to cost: 2 Facility: 3 Ambiance: This place reminds me of a college bar that's just REALLY big. Repeat customer: no Dog Friendly: yes

Judson G.

Yelp
Worst burger ever. Three of us ordered the burger out of desperation. I finished mine cause I was starving but my two friends barely touched theres they were so bad. Also understaffed.

Lara H.

Yelp
rey was amazing! She made great drink suggestions (def try The Fortune Teller) and was sweet! food was yummy!

Yelp
Service was ridiculously slow, appetizer came out far after our lunch. We were there at 12:30pm on a Saturday and they were out of chicken for the sandwich, multiple appetizers, amongst other things. Server didn't check on us, ran out of drinks, had to wait 20+ min after we were done eating to get our check, when leaving we were walking down the stairs and our server practically pushed us down the stairs. Poor service, poor experience. Will not be back.
google avatar

Amneris M.

Yelp
So many options! Humongous place, 2 floors! The bartender at the international tap bar was super cool and knew his stuff. I enjoyed Buffalo wings and a pretzel. I tried the margarita and the Paloma from their cocktail bar, didn't care too much for them but it's preference. I'm not a fan of sour mix or grapefruit, so that one fell on me not the nice bartender girl. My husband went with a flight of 6 different international beers. Would be back again to try new stuff. We went during the week in the early afternoon so we were able to explore it with no issues of crowds.
google avatar

Alex W.

Yelp
Our server was fine, and not at all the issue. The issues included easily the worst old fashioned I've ever tasted, corn dogs that were cold when they reached our table, and a dish described as "poutine" that in fact, had no cheese curds to be found. The establishment itself is unique and beautiful, but not worth the visit.
google avatar

Sarah V.

Yelp
This beer garden has Ana amazing selection of beer and cocktails. The food was also good for a bar. I was very disappointed with the service. I was going to celebrate a college graduation so we had a larger party. It was a party of 7 and we wanted to sit inside. We couldn't sit on the first floor because nothing accommodated a party of 7. We went upstairs and they wouldn't let us move tables around in the section we liked. The only place we could sit for a part of our size was towards the back on the second floor. The downside: we wouldn't get service by a waiter at our table. We had to keep getting up to order at the bar. And since we had to order at the bar, we had to go downstairs to order from the bar the cocktails and specific beers. It was a hassle! They need to provide waiter service anywhere we sit! I didn't appreciate their lack of service at all!

Doug P.

Yelp
This place is amazing, you can tell when you first arrive that this establishment is service oriented. Did not eat there but what I saw of the food it looked amazing. I live in Denver area and love going to breweries and beer gardens, never been to one with OVER 350 selections! Will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Harvey J.

Yelp
Our bartender Matt was amazing. He was very helpful in helping us picking out beers. He was so knowledgeable that we gave him the names of the beer and told us the number right off the top of his head. Matt is the best bartender I've had in years. Give that man a promotion!

Barry H.

Yelp
The selection of beer was A++ and there is a really helpful sorting feature on the digital menu where you can sort by beer type, origin (NC, US, international) and ABV/IBU. The vibe also seemed really cool. Unfortunately, that's about the extent of the positive feedback I have and I should have listened to the advice of other Yelpers who have extensively warned about bad service. We sat down and it took over 10 minutes for our server to even take our order. Then we finally placed our order for 2 flights (4 pours each) and a baked pretzel. The pretzel came out and it was fried. So, we had to send it back. This was resolved very quickly, which actually makes me think the wrong item was delivered to our table. However, we waited a total of 27 minutes (yes, we timed it) for the 2 flights. Instead of acknowledging a contributing factor such as short staffing or being backed up at the bar (speculating here), the server stopped by once during our wait to say "we're still working on your flights". It wasn't even super crowded and it was mid-afternoon so it didn't seem like a super busy time. Maybe you'd have more luck sitting at the bar where you can see what's happening in front of you. Or, if you go, just beware and be okay with the less than acceptable service.
google avatar

Hayley P.

Yelp
A Raleigh staple! Choices of beer galore, they also have a full liquor bar, and food menu. My personal favorite is the pretzel. Tons of seating inside and outside (re Biergarten). Off of major road in Raleigh, Glenwood, so tons of street parking as well as parking decks nearby.
google avatar

Riley H.

Yelp
LOVE Raleigh beer garden! It has been a staple for so long and they just added the new mini golf area in back. So much fun! The service is quick and there are lots of bars to be served at. The appetizers are yummy. The environment truly leveled up with the addition of the games/mini golf/fire pits out back. So great!! It's a must see when visiting Raleigh!

mike w.

Yelp
Stopped by for brunch this morning. Not impressed. The filet mignon slider was not filet mignon. It was tough going and even a knife would not cut through it. The poutine was ok, but I'm not sure anyone in the kitchen could identify a cheese curd, and they sure didn't make it into the dish. Some kind of mystery cheese they use there. Overall food quality was poor - service was decent. Won't go back.
google avatar

Reagan B.

Yelp
What's better on a beautiful day than a cold beer and some fried apps? Raleigh Beer Garden has the best selections of both. I loved the amount of ciders and sours that were available and was pleased with each one of my options. I was even able to sample a few before making my decisions. The bartenders were patient and kind. Now the food... Goodness gracious was it good!!!! - The Buffalo shrimp were a great size and had an amazing tangy Buffalo sauce. The fries were seasoned with salt and pepper and so yummy. - Mac n cheese bites..... OMFG y'all. So dang good. Accompanied with two sauces for dipping, this app was perfect. The atmosphere was on point. The music was fun throwbacks and that made my mom extra happy.
google avatar

Kevin K.

Yelp
Beer yes plentiful. Expensive and the food horrible. But the service great. The atmosphere is so so. Very loud. And not very welcoming. The hosts just again not friendly
google avatar

George M.

Yelp
Was here for an event and was gassed by the unlit lamps just spraying noxious fumes all night. You better fix this before you get a lawsuit. My head is reeling and I was the sober driver. Not okay.
google avatar

Rich M.

Yelp
This was our third time here. We came during a weekday and the traffic inside was lighter which was pleasant. If want an amazing place for hundreds of beers on tap, this is your place. The poutine fries are pretty good, I think what would make these incredible would be steak fries. Ok so the beer battered pretzel, get ready for a rich and heavy pretzel. WOW was it rich, the sauce that comes with this pretzel has zero taste, not even sure what it is. You'd be better off getting a mustard of your choice. Great vibe here, a lot of "Canniacs" which is great!
google avatar

Marie O.

Yelp
My mind was blown today. I found a beer Paradise. So many options of TAPS to choose from your better off ordering a flight to try a few. I had a chocolate peanut butter pretzel Stout that changed my world. This place is amazing with indoor trees around the bars, friendly staff, and it's a massive place to come with friends or family and hang out. Their outdoor patio area is amazing as well with fire pits placed everywhere. It was crowded for us today because there was a game playing in town and it was raining so everyone was trying to cram inside. We waited about 40 minutes for our table but got a beer in the meantime and sat at the bar with some good friends and enjoyed the wait. We got pretzels and they were melt in your mouth delicious and soft. I'm sure the food here is really good too from what I saw at other tables. I will definitely come back again and again.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
The service is not great, not even okay. Both times I've been here we've had to flag the server down. The food however is good and so are the drinks. I just wish the server came around more so I can order more.

Yelp
Visited here after a late night, looking for some food to eat. The bar was kinda dirty but the ambience was a vibe. Lots of beers to choose from and the people definitely helped us out with our selections. The photos are just a few of what we ended up ordering. Everything was freshly made and the flavors definitely were on par with most bars in the area. The deep fried pretzel was an experience Overall, a decent vibe, lots of beers, pretty good food, it's a vibe.

Yelp
This location came highly recommended to us from multiple people and we completely understand why! We arrived on a Sunday around 5 o'clock in the evening and there was plenty of space to be seated in. What we love about this location is one it is huge, but secondly, they have so many different options for seating both indoor and outdoor And they even have an area in the very back that has tons of space for younger children that we thoughtwas just incredible. There are also three levels to this location. The first floor has one bar that is strictly cocktails and hard liquor. The bar in the back has over 150 taps of local breweries when you go to the second floor you'll find over 150 taps of international breweries or breweries that are outside of the Carolinas. We love the huge assortment and especially as a cider drinker. There were over 30 different hard ciders alone that I had the opportunity to pick from. The top floor is not always open with the full bar, but you can always take your food and/ or your drink up there and sit. It's a rooftop deck and has stunning views of the area. We also love that this location has an extensive menu for food so you can get food and beer together. Overall, we had exceptional service and definitely will be going back before we leave town

Yelp
AVOID! Our experience was appalling. My husband chose to go to RBG for his birthday. We were seated quickly, but getting the first round of drinks was challenging. The first 6 beers he tried to choose - SIX - were all out of inventory. Furthermore, due to the set-up of the bars throughout the venue, the waitress was making 6 different treks to the bars x 6 to find out they weren't available. Of the 6 people in our party, half of us had to find out after waiting 20 minutes that other drinks were unavailable. Food came out late and was subpar. In the 90 minutes we were there, my husband didn't get one drink. As a last ditch effort, he went to the bar himself to try and find a beer he liked that WAS available, finally found one, and then the bartender wouldn't let him have it because he was seated at a table. It was ridiculous. He and his two friends walked over to the Hibernian while I waited for the manager with my two friends. The manager tried to blame delivery issues and hard-to-find products but I immediately stopped him. RBG has a QR code menu which allows you to filter "all of their beers" and find what you're looking for. There's even an AI button where you can ask your phone for a specific profile and get a list of suggestions. I'm sorry, but if you have that, delete what's unavailable. Our waitress was doing the best she could, but should have sent out a bat signal that everything was going wrong. A huge clue of one person not getting a drink for 90 minutes is glaring. This was my husband's choice, but I had scoped out the bad service reviews (particularly on Yelp), so we of course honored his wish and went. We will not be returning. There are a lot of other bars within blocks with better service, better food, more drinks, and good management.

Yelp
Wow. Probably the coolest beer garden I have ever been to. There's an indoors with two levels and then an expansive outdoor patio area. Immaculate vibes. Pretty string lights, fireplace, even some lawn games. We came on a Thursday night around 10 pm and it was pretty empty. It's perfect if you're looking for something to do in the area after dinner. Haven't been here during the day, but I'm sure it'd be just as amazing. Didn't try any of the food, but I'm here for the beer selection. To prove it, they even won the Guiness World Record a few times for most beer brands on draft tap.

Yelp
Started out going here with my husband our dog and our daughter with her dog. There are tables outside so my husband sat at one- There were No signs to say where to sit. I went in to get a drink, I asked the bartender for a menu and she said we could order outside- I said ok and she asked if I got a table (I told her my husband sat at one) she said we have to see a hostess- I did that while waiting for a drink (place was empty) I apologized to the hostess for seating ourselves she said no problem (a bunch of tables-only one had people) I got my drink as I was walking out the hostess was complaining to the server that someone went and seated themselves- I again said I was sorry- she immediately said no problem. Server told us Not to go in for drinks then wanted to take our food order. I had the swiss burger no bunn on lettuce- it was Not good- it was greasy, no flavor and they forgot the lettuce- by the time she came back I ate half ( rest to the dogs) you can Only get fries- I felt bad throwing them out. While sitting we noticed the 3 servers sitting inside at the window talking- other people sat themselves and no one came out. They asked us about service we said you have to go in and ask for a table. I gave a two star because I recommend this place Only for beer.

Yelp
WELCOME TO THE DISNEYLAND OF BEERS, exclaimed the bartender on the second floor as I pulled up to the bar! And MAN...he wasn't kidding!! It's rare to find a tap rail as diverse and extensive as this...much less in Raleigh What do you like? Lagers? They got you! IPAs? They got enough to make your head spin!! Barrel-Aged Peanut Butter Chili-Cheese Stouts? Well, maybe not that particular one, but they have plenty!! So pick your sudsy poison and order a burger and fries in a friendly environment, indoors or out. And bring your friend, spouse, dog, or all three. What more could you want? An invitation? Welcome to the happiest beer-land on earth!

Yelp
Good service and as everybody has already stated many times over -- a truly amazing selection of beers on tap. It's fun to use the QR code to view the list, which you can filter by floor, style of beer, etc. Allow 10-15 minutes to make up your mind. They offer flights, so you can work your way through all 300+ beers (or at least a subset) in less time by having a little of each. Several of the beers we tried and especially liked, we were able to find later at Total Wine & More, so going here was a 2fer. Ambiance could be better but I guess that's not the main reason people go here [hint: it's for the beer selection]. One of the coolest things (besides the beer selection itself) was looking through the (2nd floor) viewing window to see how they manage to arrange the barrels to feed a couple hundred taps (on just the 2nd floor alone). It looked like a data center server farm, only with beer kegs instead of computers! I'll take that over AWS any day. If you are a beer lover, this is a must-do when you visit Raleigh.
