Small and very upscale. It's really a hidden Gem staff is friendly and courteous food delicious. It's relatively new so be prepared to be patient as they continue to work on the process. But very well worth the time.

Very nice atmosphere overall. Cute cafe with plant nursery. Coffee is okay. Avacado toast is must try. Chocolate croissant is good too. Overall vibe is amazing especially during spring as it has nice outdoor patio. Service is very very slow not sure if they are short staffed. We waited 45 mins to get our coffee and croissant

Google
Such a fun idea to have a cafe attached to a nursery! My cappuccino was tasty and quick, as was the fig & apple grilled cheese. Great lunch/brunch option. Before the kitchen opens for lunch, they had two quiches available (spinach or mushroom) which my friends said were tasty. Took home a slice of Earl Grey iced loaf for home, which was mildly sweet.

Google
This place has everything! Aesthetics, amazing food, coffee, friendly staff…and a WHOLE nursery (plants, not kids lol!) and cute shop. Absolutely try the fig and green apple grilled cheese. Simply amazing! ❤️

Naomi M

Google
Nice atmosphere right by a garden. The gift shop had some cute stuff as well.

Grecia Mendiola

Google
Super cute coffee shop! We don’t recall driven in this area and it was a pleasant surprise to find it! So many flowers, loved it! We asked for a latte and a matcha. My husband’s rose latte was okay, my vanilla rose matcha too and it took a little long to get them despite of us being the first to walk in. The barista who took care of us was very nice, we could give it another shot.

Google
This place is behind the plant store and it’s amazing and fresh - the menu is small and simple but fabulous! Buy a plant and enjoy lunch! Yummy cucumber water or lemonade - perfect for hot day!

Google
It’s a beautiful nook with a nursery around it! Got the mocha and it had perfect balance, fig and green apple grilled cheese was delightful! Would definitely visit again soon!

Yelp
This was a Yelp find, and turned out to be a great lunch spot. Lovely atmosphere (surrounded by plant nursery, light and bright and new inside). All the food had a perfect crispness and flavor. It all tasted light and fresh, and was really good. My chicken salad had some herb in it that hit just right, and girlfriends salad dressing was perfection. Avocado toast was also well done. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Definitely hidden.. at the back of the Northhaven garden store. It's definitely cute and cool that they have this random coffee shop here. Kitchen is closed for a few weeks? But they have coffee, tea etc. I HATED that they did not have a menu with prices. That's reasonable to expect... They had a blueberry smoothie that wasn't advertised at all, which is weird. Got 12 oz iced matcha, $4.65. Price seems standard. It's unsweetened from what I can tell. Complimentary cucumber infused water. They have wifi. I wasn't looking for outlets, so don't know if they have any. Seems like a lowkey spot to study with not a ton of traffic. I don't think it's anything to go out of your way for, but more so if you're in the area and feel like checking out something different.

Tammy N.

Yelp
What a cute place! It's located within the Northhaven nursery and you can walk and enjoy the beautiful plants and greenhouse. The cafe is small and sell cute items as well like candles, trinkets and such. A small menu but pretty good flavor! I got the GOAT flatbread, it had a lot of cheese but the flatbread texture was delicious! I also got a lavender latte and good coffee flavor. If the weather is nice, you can even sit outside and there's an area for the kids to run around. Kind of a hole in the wall type place but I'm kind of glad it is! Was able to enjoy everything at a calm and slow pace.

Madigan M.

Yelp
This is an elegant, hidden jewel! I'm so glad I saw another reviewer's comment that the place is tucked behind a garden store, otherwise I might never have found it. As one might expect, there are flowers everywhere and the coffee bar is inside a spacious gift shop where they sell beautifully curated botanical bath salts - everything smells amazing! I tried a latte and a sea salt chocolate chip cookie - sooooo yummy. They only serve food between 11-3, or I would have tried a quiche or a salad.

Alisha S.

Yelp
This place! Yall! It is so cute! A hidden gem foreal!! It's a cute little cafe hidden behind a plant nursery. The shop vibes are so classy and elevated. The food was pretty bomb and the drinks were nice too. I got a matcha latte and added dulce de leche to make it sweeter. It did not disappoint. My friends bit got mimosas as well. For food we tried the hot honey flatbread and the chicken pesto sandwich! Both were *chefs kiss* and definitely better than I expected! Especially the sandwich. There's a cute outside area where you can play corn hole or enjoy your food too! So so cute!

Stephanie Z.

Yelp
Very cute for lunch or lite bites. If it's busy do not expect table service but it's a small space so it's no problem ordering at the counter.

Lizeth N.

Yelp
I always like to try new restaurants & this place was literally 3 mins away from our location so decided to give it a try! The Cafe is by a nursery plant. The service was good I love how attentive everyone was. The food was super yummy but a bit pricey. The place is more of a hangout & chill spot. Our table wasn't that clean I had to clean my side with a wipe but besides that it was pretty good! I did ask if they had ranch for my sandwich & they said no. Overall, it was a cute little hang out place.

Mary A.

Yelp
I popped in here quickly to pick up an order from the cage, but that was all I needed to know I loved this place. It's in the back end of the nursery and when you walk in there is this beautiful archway in the shop area. It's bright and charming. They had my order ready when I got there. In fact they wanted to make sure that it was fresh and read right when I arrive so they asked me how long o would be so they could have it ready when I got there. The staff was really friendly too such a great environment

Bee D.

Yelp
Very lovely place but they take forever to get the food out. I went there with a group and my order which I chose thinking it would be very simple to make came out last. I got the avocado toast and a cup of water. I don't know the exact time it took to get it out but it was more than 30 minutes as someone in our group ended up having to leave. Another time I came here, I was told that they did not serve lunch til 11 a.m. I ordered a drink which was delicious and waited til 11 a.m. I was the first one in line to order but 4 other tables behind me got their orders first. I ordered a sandwhich which contained pears, chips, and soup. It took 40+ minutes to come out. Since they were taking a long time, I asked the cashier if they could just put it in to go containers because I needed to go. Well, to my surprise, the woman seemed scared to ask whoever was preparing my food. She came back and said they would do it. However, I could hear a staff member complaining about this as they didn't realize almost everything they said could be heard outside the kitchen. Also, my chips were not in the bag and I did not realize this til after an hour later when I finally had the chance to sit down and eat it.

Helen H.

Yelp
In between a 3 and 4. 4 bc I would come back. This place is in the back of the plant rows. Gorgeous scenery and indoor is beautiful too. Very quiet and casual. They didn't seem really ready to serve a lot of coffee beyond espresso. But it tasted pretty good. And their menu doesn't actually start til 11am.

sarah s.

Yelp
I got an iced latte and it was good! They have decaf espresso options as well. Place is really cute and has wifi. Staff was friendly. I wish they had 2% or skim milk options but other than that it was very nice. Would go again!

Eric M.

Yelp
I was not aware that this little place existed. My wife spotted it and we decided to run out for a latte and maybe check out some plants at the nursery. The setup is odd, but works it's a coffee shop inside a little shop in the back that has some nice little gift items as well as coffee drinks with a small amount of pastries and food items. While the latte I ordered was fine, nothing amazing, but also not bad at all...the speed at which the staff worked was almost beyond belief--super slow. And as a lesson for all groups that want to combine with another business on you site, their performance impacts your performance. So, everyone needs to pick up the pace and up the idea of taking care of clients. We waited in line to buy some items for more than 10 minutes and ended up leaving. Hire more people. Or hire people that work with pace and can take care of more clients.

Miriam R.

Yelp
Let's start with the drink it's self was no where near full barely half way my food took more then 40 min I asked for avocado toast & a chicken sandwich . Why are other people getting served before me ? when my order was clearly placed before me them. was it because we were the only Mexicans in this place it appeared so none the less I will not be back this place was pretty but the service was a huge disappointment. I 100% regret leaving a tip most racist place I've been to in a long time. Honestly felt like I was treated different because of my race. SAD

Chia B.

Yelp
This rare find is all about vibes. It's the perfect place for a light lunch. It's easy to get to, perfect for dining alone or for a little conversation, and it's tucked behind a flower shop with an abundance of beautiful blooms. There was ample parking. Every dish is simple with a little creativity in it (like the fig in my chicken panini). I was able to enjoy the nice weather while dining outside with a book. The staff is very laid back and friendly. This unique spot is a best kept secret.

Avery H.

Yelp
Such a quaint gem in Dallas. Wonderful servers & great food. A must try! You won't regret it. Already planning my trip to come back here.

Alaina K.

Yelp
Great little coffee spot! The cafe au lait was really good, but the meat and cheese board on the happy hour menu was superb. The hot honey they make in house + goat cheese is an outstanding combo! Service was great - very personable and quick. Definitely coming back with friends

Kezia M.

Yelp
Great study spot, garden-esque. Shaded outside eating areas. Coffee and food options available. Easy parking in a lot close by. Not overpriced. Great quality food!! Would definitely come again!

Chelsea P.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I spent 6 hours at brunch here with some childhood friends. I had a black coffee with the avocado toast. The food was good, the atmosphere was very vibrant, there are tons of cute plants and little goodies everywhere. And it wasn't busy at all! You order at the counter so you don't feel any pressure and then afterwards you can walk around the greenhouse.

Savannah H.

Yelp
This place is super cute and has great vibes. However, severely understaffed for a weekend brunch. Waited an hour and a half for our food only to have some of it arrived burned. Would recommend just coming for coffee or bringing your own food to sit on the patio. There were only two people working the cafe and I know they were doing their best, but there should have been at least two more people working for the amount of orders and size of the restaurant. Would come again if they can get some more workers.

Deme J.

Yelp
I was looking for a new coffee shop to meet up with a friend on a weekday and came across this place on Yelp. Based on the photos and reviews, I thought it would be the perfect meeting spot. However, I was wrong. We arrived a little after 9 am (they open at 9am) and the entry doors were locked. No one opened them for us, so we had to walk through the restroom entrance. We were not given any menus and uncertain of what to order because it was empty accept for a small glass tray of assorted bakery items. I asked if they had matcha, no, I asked if they had lemonade, no because it wasn't made yet. I asked if they offered breakfast, again, no. I was very disappointed in my experience and would not come back.

Bruce M.

Yelp
Limited menu but good food. We especially like the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup combo. Anything but basic. Try it you'll like it!

Kayla N.

Yelp
The ambiance was so aesthetic and cute with all the real plants inside. I went with my friends during lunch on a Thursday, and there were maybe 2-3 other groups there. I had the chicken pesto panini with their soup of the day (leek soup) and I was surprised by how good everything was! For a cafe style place, the service was impeccable. The ladies up front always checked on us to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend eating here and then checking out their garden or small shop.

Rob K.

Yelp
Service at 1 pm on a Friday was incredibly slow. Over an hour to get a panini and a salad. Shouldn't take that long from an order at the counter restaurant. And we were told that our food was on the way several times. Had to cancel our order. It's a shame - such a beautiful place but such poor service.

Tracey B.

Yelp
Just a little hidden gem The menu here is always fresh, healthy and inventive. The food is usually locally sourced and there are so many healthy options! We had the BLT and the avacado toast with tortilla and tomato soups. Everything was excellent. For dessert we had a fresh, warm Caramel apple bar with coffee. What can i say yummy, gooey heaven. I highly recommend doing in for lunch and dining amongst the flowers and nature.

Julian R.

Yelp
We were coming back from a property showing and looking for a new coffee spot to try. This coffee shop is a hidden gem. Albeit, it's not a full out coffee shop like you see at some of the coffee roasters and boutiques, but just the way they utilize the whole North Haven Garden venue is awesome. Fresh garden to table ingredients for bites to eat. Espresso was awesome and all of the staff was added pleasure of the experience! The boho feel inside the cafe sets a calm and collected vibe for you to take in the flowers outside.

Bette K.

Yelp
Nice lunch in the garden. Soup, avocado toast with basil oil is very tasty. Nice for groups (they accommodated two groups of ladies very well to their surprise -only need to keep the line moving- kitchen was on it!!!)

Shelby J.

Yelp
The young lady behind the counter was very sweet and patient with me going over my options and the food was delicious. I love the atmosphere as well. Such a cute little cafe tucked away. 10/10 would recommended

Teresa C.

Yelp
I had business in Dallas and was looking for a little place to stop in and grab a bite. This cute little cafe is in the same driveway as Northhavens nursery. It was so cute, clean, so cool inside with lots of things to look at. I had a chicken salad sandwich with chips and they had a very tasteful strawberry lemonade with basil, all so good. Service was great, they dropped my plate & picked it up. I'd definitely eat there again. July 2023

JJamil L.

Yelp
Great ambience! Came in for a quick coffee but stayed for the great shop and garden. Will definitely come in next time and bring friends here as the atmosphere is really inviting.

April F.

Yelp
If your around north Dallas and you love nature and plants - lovely views and cool drinks and fresh salads and sandwiches you have to try this place, you won't regret it!

Karli J.

Yelp
Great food and relaxing atmosphere! Super cute place and very friendly and helpful staff.

Demi G.

Yelp
I am in love not only with NHG, the STUNNING boutique, Ralph & Rose, the staff, management, products, but THE COOKIES! it's become a problem, a delicious one!

Joseph T.

Yelp
Cute setting and a very good BLT. Losing stars because took over 30 minutes to get the food, and about five minutes to order. I think they have a quite small kitchen or staff. Made it hard for a quick lunch break in allotted time.

Kurt V.

Yelp
Came here for the Father's Day Brunch and it was just ok...not bad, for sure not great, just ok. The buffet was not cheap, but lacked selection beyond the basic fare of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, and a few breads and cookies. The setting is very pleasant though, looking out over the plants etc in the nursery. Not quite a normal setting for a restaurant, but it worked.

Jessica K.

Yelp
First off, the location of this cafe is lovely. It's hidden in a garden/greenhouse type of space, which gives it a certain charm that I just loved. The location and ambiance is why I gave it three stars instead of less than three. Now the food is limited in terms of options and we went for brunch, but the thing I was most bothered by was that it's advertised as a cafe yet they could not make a latte because "it's not listed on the menu." They listed coffee and iced coffee, but nothing more fancy than that. I ordered the French toast, which was okay at best. You order at the counter and grab a number and then they bring the order over to your table. The people who worked here were nice, but I just didn't like that they couldn't accommodate by making a latte when it's called a cafe. Just seems misleading.

Lyjah A.

Yelp
Is it a*Hidden Gem* you be the judge! So i stumbled on this spot. Good vibes, beautiful, scenery. If you come early it's quiet and you could definitely get some work done! Food selection is limited but if everything is as good as the Frittata that i had wow! This spot is awesome!

Gill S.

Yelp
The breakfast sandwich completes every check mark on what I want from the ingredients listed. The sausage had a great, seasoned pork taste, without being too greasy. Each ingredient was layered evenly, standing in harmony for every bite. If I had to be super picky, I would desire the sourdough bread to be slightly thicker to give my teeth a more satisfying chew. Otherwise, the bread had a great tang and was moist. The jelly they provide on the side was a nice touch. I like that it wasn't automatically added. I was quite surprised there are no condiments, but it didn't even need it.

Courtney C.

Yelp
Love this adorable cafe! It's a true hidden gem for sure! Has delicious food! I have enjoyed everything here- soups, sandwiches, their delicious tea! Definitely support this place! You won't regret it!!!

Trina M.

Yelp
I dropped a friend off here and its definitely a little hidden gem. I've passed here so often but never knew the depth of this establishment. It was the cutest little place and who knew they have an art studio, yoga classes and a awesome cafe. Such a serene place! The amazing part about this place is, they have a full bar. They offer smoothies., beer and wine....AMAZING. I can't wait to bring some girlfriends here for a nice brunch on the patio enjoying the art and the awesome flowers. I also heard that the owners that run the Dallas arboretum is also the owners of the cafe and art room. WHO KNEW?

Anthony G.

Yelp
Food is going down with the seasoning. Worse then that the manager was super rude. 4th time here and there will not be a fifth.

Crystal M.

Yelp
I loooove this place. Came on a beautiful rainy day. Was extremely hungry and found this on Yelp. Had to walk through the indoor nursery to get to the cafe. It was so clean and empty and quiet. They had WiFi too so I studied while I waited for my order and ate, with a wonderful view of the nursery. She made my sandwich (Applewood BLT) pretty quick and it tasted really fresh and warm. Love how she didn't skimp on the meat. Outdoor seating is great too but I didn't try it because of the rain. Really only taking away that 1 Star for the pricing- $14 plus tax and tip for a BLT? . And that was one of the less expensive items too. Granted, it was decently sized and includes a choice of fruit or chips, and came with a pickle spear. I would have priced the whole thing at like $10.99. Maybe it doesn't seem like a big difference, but it is to me. I am definitely coming back though!

Mark S.

Yelp
I ordered two sandwiches to go for $27. The fake-friendly cashier turned around and started preparing my food with her bare hands. As she finished, I heard her cough. I could not tell whether she turned her head or covered her mouth with her hand or elbow (prep space is not visible from the dining area), but she then packed my food into a bag. I considered asking for a refund, but decided against it. Took the food home. Could not eat it. Threw it away. Not recommended. Yuk.

Youssef B.

Yelp
Great location and excellent service. We came here for breakfast and unfortunately were not impressed with the food quality. I had the frittata and it was very dry. We might come back to try their lunch offerings.

Brian D.

Yelp
Great taste every time as well as a beautiful presentation. The Bacon and Cheddar Frittata is wonderful. The Avocado Toast is a must!

Lisa D.

Yelp
**UPDATED** Because the manager reached out to both my husband and I to try and make things right, I have updated my review from one star to 3. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The food was mediocre at best. Handling our food with no gloves? Major no-no. The staff seemed not so happy about their job and it showed in the food. Sad because I think this place could be a real gem if they could get the food and staff right.

Scott H.

Yelp
Great little spot, hidden in the beautiful gardens! This café is clean and friendly. The food is prepared fresh and to order. I would have liked lettuce and tomato on my wonderful sunrise sandwich, but I forgot to ask. Next time. Come check it out! You'll be glad you did.

Taylor S.

Yelp
This place is a little slice of heaven! The setting is so unique being in a nursery! Seating was both outside and inside, since the weather was overcast and breezy of course we opted for outside. The menu is very fresh and inspiring. The portion sizes were perfect. The menu prices were standard. We ordered the 1/2 grilled cheese with a salad, passion tea, hand carved turkey sandwich, and chicken salad sandwich. Mine was the turkey and it was thick cut slices that remind me of thanksgiving - the flavors were on point and the ciabatta roll that it came on was the cherry on top! I will definitely be back!

Gordon J.

Yelp
Cafe in a nursery who would have thought? Had the spinach as tomato frittata. Cooked well and had a great fresh flavor to it. We will be back.

Eliza R.

Yelp
If you enjoy gardening, or if you're looking for a new source of plants and flowers to bolster your in-home/outdoor garden, or, you just enjoy being in an outdoor space, then North Haven Gardens is for you! VENUE: The whole establishment is nestled on a small street just off the highway. It has a café, an art gallery, a greenhouse, and an outdoor space where you can peruse through all sorts of plants and flowers, or survey some of their outdoor exhibits. Last Saturday, my boyfriend and I went and there were chicken vendors who were showing off gorgeous chickens and roosters for purchase. We were starving and so we walked into the café to grab something to eat. Side note: there is seating both indoors and outdoors - so feel free to bring your dogs to enjoy the space with you. The outdoor seating is situated between the café and the art gallery, all underneath a nice canopy, so the sun won't beat down on you. The indoor café is bright, with lots of natural light. After placing we order, we walked through the back of the café to the art gallery, where there were gorgeous pieces for sale. From there, we walked outdoors to the greenhouse and just window-shopped (does that term apply in an outdoor space?) for some herbs to add to the kitchen. All the plants are nicely organized for easy access and finding. FOOD/DRINK: The café serves BEER and WINE!!! I know that's a selling point for some of y'all but that's not why you should eat here. The sandwiches. Are. Fantastic. I hear the chef of the café has won an award for her burger. They were sold out when we went last time, but the sandwiches were delicious. I ordered the Applewood BLT with a side of fruit. The bread was just on the cusp between warm, soft and crispy, the bacon was seasoned just right, and the garlic aioli brought all the flavors together. If you want a savory option, I recommend this one. My boyfriend ordered the turkey sandwich which highlighted red onions and honey mustard to pull in a more sweet/savory flavor. Really, all the sandwiches on their menu sounded amazing - I will definitely go for the grilled cheese or the burger when I return next. SERVICE: I'm really not surprised that in a place where gorgeous flowers are blooming and fountains are singing -that the staff (in both café and greenhouse) were just the most delightful, peaceful, and helpful people. From ordering food, to inquiring about chickens or a persimmon tree, every point of contact we made was done so with just the friendliest team. There was definitely a desire to teach and share knowledge rather than to try and sell us anything. Truly a place to go if you want to enjoy nice weather or nice food or nice people.
