Friday June 27th, pick up ~445pm. I don’t recommend curbside at this location. The guy who brought out my groceries just threw them in my car with no regard for what was in each bag, (chips, yogurt, fruit) and on top of that my pizza box was ripped open. I also got a notification that one of the chips I got on a 4 for $10 deal was out of stock and they “couldn’t find a suitable replacement” even though I said replacements were fine and I ordered 4 different flavors. You’re telling me that these were the last 3 bags of chips you had in the store?!?! I got charged $3.99 a bag when I should have gotten 4 for $10. When I asked the guy what was going on, he just kept saying he wasn’t the one that shopped the order and I’d have to go inside, to which I explained I had my dog with me which is why I did curbside. It’s too hot outside to leave him in the car and if I did he’d eat all my groceries! My lettuce had a best by date of July 2nd and it was brown and squishy and my yogurt had a puncture hole. I called in and asked to speak to a manager who was super rude and he finally agreed to give me 2 bags of chips to make up for the money I lost, which is better than nothing, but now I have 5 bags of chips. I didn’t really even need 4, I was just getting them to save the money! Manager said he’d bring the chips right out with the pizza that was ripped open, but he just sent out the employee who originally brought out the order. I told him thank you for his help and have a good day and he didn’t say a single word and just walked away. Not one person apologized for the inconvenience or acknowledged why I was frustrated. They made me feel like I should have just shut up and overpaid so they can sit back and take it easy even though they were the ones who messed up my order. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Update: I went to a different Ralph’s and learned it is not standard practice for them to mark the order as complete and give you the receipt BEFORE they even come to the car or ask you if you have any coupons. They’re purposely trying to inconvenience the customer by forcing them inside to address errors, even though it’s curbside and they should address it BEFORE billing the transaction! Terrible store and managers!

I come here almost every other day however today was the worse experience I’ve ever had. It felt like a freezer in the store I was so cold I couldn’t focus on what I actually needed so now I’m heading. To somewhere else! There is no reason it should be that cold through out the whole store. Every employee I saw was wearing a jacket which isn’t normal. Also y’all need to keep a clerk outside collecting the carts cause they are everywhere. And the bathrooms I went to pee I had to hover over the seat and it was disgusting. As I said this is my normal place but idk what’s going on but they have to get it together

The aisles and walkways are crammed full of crap.... there's no room to move! Maybe reduce the variety of inventory and stop putting a billion displays literally everywhere there is an inch of floor space??? I felt like trying to get down the aisle was a game of chicken with all of the othwr shoppers... who will move between displays to let the other guy pass? Your cashier was great, though, he really tried hard to help- above and beyond!

I always have a great experience shopping at Ralph's. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They have a good variety of fresh produce and quality products. Highly recommend this place for everyday groceries!

The store looks so clean and nice but when I was going to get fresh watermelon slices there was a foul smell in the fridge so I looked around and there was mold growing at the bottom of the fridge. The smell was super strong and this needs to be fixed as its a health concern.

Seem to end up here just before closing time and despite the late hour(1am closing) it feels safe and inviting. "Johnny Cash" alerts shoppers when the store will be closing and is cheerful all the way through checkout! When i? I'm out late/early this is my go to for groceries!

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at the self-checkout here was unacceptable. I was wrongly accused of stealing—without anyone bothering to check the items in question. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, I was charged twice for the same item. The staff at self-checkout seemed more interested in making accusations than actually helping customers. It felt like I was treated as guilty until proven innocent, even though I paid more than I should have. Completely unprofessional and deeply disappointing. Ralphs needs to seriously rethink how they train their employees to handle these situations—with respect, accuracy, and basic customer service.

I'm not from the area, but this is the nicest Ralph's I've ever been in. You could call it a Ralphs-plus, since they had an expanded section of housewares and kitchen items. They weren't that busy when I arrived, so getting in and out quickly was easy. The only thing that slowed me down was being unfamiliar with the store, so I had to hunt for what I wanted, as this wasn't a quick and easy trip down every aisle. I did find a couple of things I wasn't planning on buying because they were on sale. I don't know if this is a Palm Desert thing, but I actually enjoyed the paper bags rather than plastic. If you self-check out, you have to be a little more strategic when bagging, or I can see them ripping, but I still loved it. The handle made it a nice touch.

This Ralph's might not look huge from the outside, but inside their selection is amazing...glad I'm not the person who has to manage their extensive inventory. I have yet to look for something they don't have. Staff are very nice. I wish they didn't have the scanners. I prefer one of their friendly checkers and I find when I use the scanner I seem to be frequently yelling at or arguing with it...it's bot human, so I don't feel bad about giving it a piece of my mind. Plenty of parking and lots of carts that actually roll!

My wife and I did an online pickup and had a rude interaction with the employee who brought out our order (we know his name but I'll keep it out). We now realize we parked in the wrong spot, but the sign in front of us said "Thank you for being our guest. Pick Up," so we assumed it was valid and entered "0" since no number was visible. The employee came out smirking, said he saw us on the cameras, and made a point about us entering "0." When I explained we didn't see a number, he kept talking over me and wasn't listening. I eventually ended the back-and-forth and said, "I'm not going to argue with you." He became cordial afterward, and we got our groceries. This Ralphs has had ongoing issues, including aisle accessibility concerns and is generally just bad. Only good thing about it is its convenience. Photo of the sign attached

Very busy Ralphs store so the shelves are not fully organized and its not crystal clean. The service is great in the location and the ambiance is chill. They have hot and cold food and i like their chicken thigh. They are always fresh and well cooked.

Love the self checkout lanes because I was able to quickly buy my items without standing in line. The store has full inventory and the aisles are clean with decent spacing. The employees are helpful especially when I had issues with the self checkout.

Bags are not that durable enough nowadays because they use the paperbag ones. The plastic bags were better and It has a lot of uses.

Back for more! It's just about convenience. Is it the best grocery store? Nope. But- we can grab essentials here when we need it. Personally, I like Sprouts and Trader Joe's more. Price wise, I prefer Stater Brother's. But sometimes, you just need a couple of things and go to whatever is close. Service is so-so here. Not good or bad, I think employees just don't care. Ambiance is your typical grocery store. Some things will be rotten, so make sure to check your food. The produce is not the freshest here.

So ive been shopping at Ralph's since a kid, and I've met many very kind and amazing workers in that time. Anytime I've had an issue a manager or lead have always been super helpful, but my gosh does this guy Regen the store manager at this location need some help. The man is hostile, aggressive, and very short with his answers. I've never left a rev in my life, but this man needs serious help. Never in my life have I been spoken to in the manner and tone this guy used, I'm a grown man being talked down to by a manager. Completely unacceptable and alt nothing will be done by leaving this review, hopefully others will see this and pass on this store. Save yourself the heartache. That man is RUDE.

They have tried to jam so many things into the store that the aisles are packed with merchandise and extremely difficult to navigate, especially with a cart. The parking lot is small for the number of stores. The prices seem high. The service was decent and there were plenty of employees throughout the store. There is potential if the kept more good in the back room and less is the aisles.

I trusted this bakery with my son's birthday cake and I cannot even tell you how bad they messed up. Thank God I now know how to manage my anxiety and did not go crazy but you can see for yourself how bad they did. Horrible horrible horrible!! Never again am I making this mistake

I love shopping here, the prices are low, and there's hardly ever any crazy lines. The ambiance of the store is peaceful; it can get busy at times but it's usually pretty quiet. I love that they have a Wells Fargo ATM inside. The food is always super fresh and reasonably priced. The sushi is surprisingly good quality, and the deli has a nice selection of meat and cheeses. My favorite cashier is JT, he is always super kind and efficient. Highly recommend

I approached the counter 7 aisle to inquire about whether the store carries TracFones. The staff member I spoke with responded dismissively, saying, "we sell phones, Do I look like a service person?" As a long-time customer, I was taken back by this unprofessional and discourteous response. I expect all Ralphs employees to uphold your company's commitment to excellent customer service, and this interaction fell far below that standard. I believe this situation warrants attention to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and take appropriate steps to address the behavior. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you regarding the resolution.

I went to your store because your website for the Orange store at Chapman & Main showed you had Breyers Dairy Free Cookies & Cream ice cream. There were none!! The Manager could care less in helping me. A nice young man tried which is the only reason I gave one star. Out of 8 items on my list, your store didn't have 2 items. I am not too happy because I played scratcher I guess Ralph is closing the lottery to cash out scratcher at 8pm they should have the common sense to put a sign Sorry We Close the Cashing out the lottery tickets or scratchers because when I won I was hoping to get the cash from my scratcher to use for groceries and when I went to the Ralph gas station they only gave me a ticket not want I wanted so understand that! Everything else in store is fine that is the only issue that I see!

If I could give it less than one so I would I've been coming here for years and today I decided to come in when I wasn't feeling good. I was in a nice coat and my pajamas with my two children and I went to the self check out and I think her name was Orphelia, walked up to me a worker there and stared me down. She continued to stand next to me the entire time I checked out with my children and stared me down my friend who had checked out before me at a different register, turned around and waited for me to check out and was watching and even noticed it was making him uncomfortable. She walked up to me and gave me a long lecture on how I couldn't take any bags even though I wasn't planning to take any bags and she made me feel uncomfortable and now I don't even wanna come back to this Ralph's. I think I'll be going to the one in Garden Grove from now on.

I use to be a regular here and stopped for the following. Unfortunately at times the produce is not to par. It's really surprising they have it out for the customers for purchase. Why have spoil produce, fruits etc... next to good ones. It can spoils and someone can get sick. I would suggest to take pride when it comes to the produce section and have good quality out. There's always workers stocking that section. Maybe have one to overall look each section and get the bad ones removed. I know by now you're probably asking why am I not giving it lower stars and rating higher? Well when it comes to customer service, they really are consistent and great. Everyone is helpful and that's one thing I have experienced from, the meat department, deli, individuals stocking in aisles, to checking out and today self checkout. They're all so helpful and kind. It's been a while since I've been back and was is the area and had to get some things. I notice they have cameras which is great to prevent theft which I'm all up for. But the reason for my review even though I did get some produce that was great and was good quality. So why not give it a shot. There was some lines so I did self checkout. I accidentally did an error with quantity and the lady who helped me came over and voided what and corrected it. To my surprise she seen the produce that I have and was so kind instead of me searching for the products, she gave me the codes for all and some she scan like if I was on the regular checkout. She was so pleasant and thanked her for her assistance. She asked if I needed help to my car or anything else. I said no but I really appreciate the fact she save me time. I just had to get her name, which was on her name tag and Melinda was it. As I was bagging I was seeing her interact with other checkout customers and she was superb. Melinda did such an awesome job but overall what stood out she was was genuine and had a beautiful smile when interacting with customers. I wanted to just say thank you for doing such a great job when it comes to self checkout because other stores ignore you and don't bother acknowledging you. That's the reason why I rated them what I did. The service is is always consistent but Melinda made it memorable and I thank her for that.

I love this Ralphs because there are always fresh flowers the sushi is decent and just overall they have good deals. Also, it's convenient to my home . Today Coke products were on digital deals. I wanted to buy 3 12 packs of Coke Zero. I'm not familiar with how the system works. but I do have the app downloaded on my phone. I scanned the QR code and I clipped the coupon. when I got to the register, I let the clerk know I wasn't sure how to work tha app to retrieve my discount. she smirked and chuckled. she said, how did you do it earlier? That's how you do it. I'm confused . And then begins to show me to scan the barcode on the pack of soda with a tiss in her voice and an attitude. Still not clear. At that point, I told her I no longer wanted the sodas anymore. And Instead on insisting on helping me. She told the bagger to go ahead and remove my sodas. Denise has horrible customer service! . Instead of belittling your customers how about you find a new job since you're so miserable with your life. I'll go thru self check out for now on.

The tall kid with the long hair and glasses in the service department is so rude! I get that your probably short staffed, I've worked a service counter before, but ignoring customers while doing dishes isn't the solution. When he finally decided to turn around he grumbled about needing a minute while angrily putting on his gloves. Super short and aggressive. Them slapped the deli meat on the counter. Don't bother going to the service deli, it's a headache and they make you feel bad for ordering anything.

I had the laziest checker / cashier I have ever encountered in my life. Antonia D on register 9 this morning at 8:20 A.M. This lady was eating bread and drinking her coffee while working, The part I did not like was her talking with her mouth full of food. LASTLY, the most irritating part was me having to put my groceries in bags myself while she was talking to the people behind me in Spanish and just ignoring me completely. I had to put all my soda can boxes and food in my own cart. This makes me want to just go shop at a cheaper store if this is the case. I come here for better service, and I am not getting this here. Don't think I will come back again.

Literally the worst location in the chain. Sadly, where I live, this is the only Ralphs within a reasonable driving distance, so I've been forced to go here for the past 13 years. I've watched it deteriorate worse and worse each year. The number of vagrants and homeless in the parking lot and in the front of the store continue to get worse to a point where it doesn't feel safe to even park or enter. Once you do park, you are met with the rudest combination of associates ever to grace a grocery store. The parking lot is also horribly lit; at 10pm we felt extremely unsafe to even get out of the car. On this night, we came to return 3 items that had been unused. In the catering business, you sometimes overestimate your needs and naturally will have a few returns at the end of each job. The rude woman manning the self checkouts had zero customer service skills and used one-word comments to communicate with us. We showed proof of purchase via the app, which is where the items had been bought, and she insisted that we needed a paper receipt. There IS no paper receipt when you buy online for store pick up. We then got to a "more expensive" item (over $20) and got the "and the reason for the return is?" along with that look that questioned whether we had stolen it or not. She then goes to an allegedly more senior checker, an old man in a beanie who looked like he waltzed in from the street. He confirmed in similar uncaring, gruff tone we could not make this return because "there is no way for us to circle on the receipt that you returned the items". Are you telling me this was the first time a customer had an online return to complete in a store? Is it that rare? Throughout my long life, grocery stores are usually so quick to take items back that you can barely get your explanation out in words before they hand you back your money. Not this place. I absolutely understand having to keep one's guard up due to the nature of what's happened to this once-nice area turned criminal, but profiling us for wanting to complete a return we DID HAVE proof of purchase on, and subsequently refusing to help, has me incensed. I will be contacting their Corporate, but don't expect any resolve. It's scary - Kroger is getting ready to purchase Albertsons too, which means we're to expect this level of "service" across most of all the SoCal grocery chains? The future is dim.

This stores automatic doors do not work properly had to stand in front of the door for five minutes before It opened, as a handicap person they really should have me standing oht front waiting for the door to open when the store it self is already OPEN

I just left this Ralphs and I won't be coming back. I always use self checkout when possible which is what I did at this location. As I was leaving the cashier at the only open register assumed I was shoplifting and was all hello in a condescending tone and asked where I was going. Maybe pay attention to who is using the self checkout to avoid an assumption like that in the future.

The ladies at the service deli are basically useless and will ignore you while you stand in front of their station for ten straight minutes before coming up to you and shooing you off by misquoting the prices of their items because they don't want to actually help you. But old blond women who've gone past their terms working in the Ralph's service deli probably have pretty wretched lives in the first place, so I guess I'll go back to my decent life and she can have her wonderful life commanding the service deli counter. Cheers !

The only reason I come here is because it's a few blocks from work & I like to get the sushi /sandwiches on the go. I appreciate the self check out lines because the cashiers are rude & very passive aggressive when they're trying to play nice. Antonia helped ring me out the other day and my point was proven, yet again.

I order a birthday cake from the bakery Dept from their website 3 days ahead of time. The cake I requested was all black buttercream, when I went to pick up my birthday cake the employee behind the counter asked if I was here to pick up the "black cake" I said yes. The employee proceeded to tell me they don't have black buttercream and that they have to mix it, she showed me the cake it looked like garbage, not even close to black more like a green grayish creation. They should have called and told me as soon as the order was placed instead of waiting until I showed up to pick up my order the day of the party.

Same run down store, still over-charging. As much as possible I try to not shop here, but it is very close, and I'm desperate I have no choice. You truly have to be on high alert when you go to this store, scary people are always lurking around. The store always seems a little messy and crowded. The employees are the best thing about this store. I'm usually rushed, and many times over-charged from the marked price, but no time to get it corrected. I think they count on this. I would gladly pay more to go to a store that is safer and I'm not over charged repeatedly.

This use to be my go Ralph because was close to my work and really clean and organize. However the tags and no in order. I went to self checkout and the price was not right so I wait for someone to came help me. The "manager" (blonde woman ) said she can not leave her station to go check and sent a kid that came back after 10 min slowly with the wrong picture of the item but to my surprise the "manager " who was not able to leave her station was walking around helping other customer and looking for stuff for them. Now I went myself and tuck and picture came back and she still no owner the price said was another item and that someone can go grab it for me. On the end no one came with the item and I left without anything after 30 min on the store. Horrible I will think2 times before I came back.

3.22.20 Went out to buy food I can make fore dinner. Since there's a handful of choices in meat, I was able to grab meatloaf to bake, wonton soup and salmon burger from the freezer isle. Then instead of bread, had those crescent rolls to bake. Viola! Home made dinner! Applauding the staff who are doing their best and keeping their cool amidst the craziness and health danger they face everyday since this pandemic started. Kudos to all of you!

To be honest, I've been coming here weekly for over 20 plus years, but lately the last few times I've been coming the people that are working in the produce department seem like they don't like their jobs, especially the guy with the long curly hair. Then the quality of the fruits and vegetables is lacking not sure what's going on. Then I notice usually at the checkout stand, they'll ask you your phone number so you can get your discounts the last three times they never asked I had to remind them. I am not sure what is going on.

I love this Ralph's. I love the fresh veggies they have here and the great customer service. They always have a fully stocked vegetarian section in the refrigerated isles. They just always have what I need. I never buy from the deli or meat sections so I can't speak for those but for everything else it's great. The only thing I do want to point out is that for my Hispanic food needs they don't have what I need but it's an american Ralph's so I usually just go to north gate for that stuff anyways. I have been ignoring this place lately due to the outbreak because they were severely under stocked at one point but I just made a stop here last week and they are back to being fully functional! (thank God!) I always use self checkout (the less human contact right now the better) and the ladies that man the area are usually really helpful and sweet and efficient. I absolutely love shopping here, I've never had a bad experience with the quality of their staff.

The wait time at around 8:38pm was unacceptable... I think I waited in line for about 12 plus minutes.. one regular check stand open and the self checkout were only open. At the very last minute a manager opened up another regular checkout lane. Check your cameras to view the long lines...

The store is fine and reminds me of any other Ralph's. The biggest problem for me is that it always seems like one of the registered people is watching me. I understand they're just there to do their job but to feel like a criminal any time that I go to check out is uncomfortable and honestly just feel like I'm profiled. Maybe I need to comb my hair to the side and wear ray bans?

Ralph's always provides great customer service from front of store to the back I love shopping Ralph's I even know majority of workers

Go see Chyong in the fresh sushi section, she is the sweetest and has excellent customer service. I walked out of there with a smile, thank you for making my day and having such a great attitude Chyong!!!

Had a nice experience shopping in here last night, they had a digital coupon for $3 off on a 12 pack of soda, but the coupon wouldn't load on my phone after I scanned the QR code. But I showed a picture of the coupon to Cathy (my person who checked me out) and she did an override or something and made it work. Thanks Cathy and Thanks Ralph's!
