Where to Eat Ramen in Tokyo

"Awarded: Bib Gourmand. Located just a few minutes walk from Nerima station is Ramen Gottsu. The gyokai broth is made from flying fish, among other seafood, and has a super smooth mouthfeel." - Alethea Tan

For a double soup ramen restaurant, gottsu is probably the best I ever had. Service is wonderful but they don't have any English speakers so be careful when ordering! The char siu bowl was fantastic and the ramen was incredible!

Happy place with ramen at the right price. Now it is my new favorite. The owner pays great attention & respect of this art.

Michelin, Bib Gourmand ramen. Modern bar-like ramen shop. Unique taste. Give it a try if you are near Nerima.

Possibly the best bowl of ramen I've had in 27 years in Japan. Absolutely outstanding!

Wonderful staff here that have deliciously ramen. No smoking. Did you know this is a Michelin Star ramen place? They are pretty efficient with table turnover, unless you come with a huge group. There is space for only about 9 or 10 people to eat at a time with a bench inside to sit if you’re waiting to be called up next. You purchase a ticket by the door, they take tens and coins, but if you only just have a 100 bill just kindly let them know and they will give you change. My kid ordered a kids set and she got cheesecake with her ramen. Son had the Gottsu Ramen, and he was satisfied. I had the standard ramen here, because I thought my kid wouldn’t eat all her food, but that wasn’t the case. The standard ramen was delicious as well. The broth here is rich, so if you like rich broth, you’ll enjoy this place. They have other items here too but I didn’t get a chance to see everything. Everything is delicious here and the kids were happy because they got a treat (lollipop) after finishing their food. Will come back here again. They are closed mondays and the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

The best ramen I've tried in my life. Price range from 900¥ to 1130¥ (around 6€ to 10€). Best Tokyo ramen 2014-15 award and included into the Michelin guide. If you're in Tokyo, find some time to visit this place. Must try!!

Yelp
Ramen Gottsu is a typical neighbourhood ramen shop. It is about 5 minutes away from the nearest station and sits about 10 people at the same time. The place is small but new and immaculate, which counts for a lot in those local shops. There is a nice variety of noodles, from the typical ramen bowl to dipping noodles. The taste is clean and not heavy, with the garnish complimenting the broth very well. The place can get busy depending on the time of day, but Ramen Gottsu is worth a 10 minute wait.

Yelp
This ramen restaurant made it onto the Michelin Guide's 2015 list of Tokyo Bib Gourmands. They don't use MSG. They take a very long time to make their special soup for raman noodles. Extract of pork, chicken, dried sardines and dried bonito are used as their soup stock. While I was eating my noodles, I heard other customers saying "It's so good." "The best ramen I've ever eaten." If you are a great lover of thick soups from dried sardines and pork, this is where you should go. I'm actually not a big fan of soups from dried sardines, I don't dislike them, though. That's the reason I gave 3 stars.

Yelp
Delicious, heavy broth. Menma and pork were particularly good. Service was quick and the wait wasn't very long despite going around lunch time (maybe 1 PM?). Rated one of the best in Nerima-ku on tabelog and supleks.

Yelp
I like how this place advertises that it uses no MSG. The broth was probably some sort of soy sauce based broth based on the taste. I ordered the Gottsu special which had two big pieces of cold cut pork, egg, bamboo, seaweed and some other items I was not aware of and ramen. The ramen itself was okay but it was cool watching the cooks make the bowls of ramen. I loved how the egg was cooked and probably was the best egg I had in Japan. There was a line but the wait wasn't long but be aware that this place is small since there is only a counter that seats maybe 8 people max. This place was mentioned in the Michelin guide though. Also my ramen bowl was under $10 so I am not complaining there.
