"Ramen Hiroshi, which made waves five years ago when it launched as Walnut Creek’s first and only ramen spot, has opened a second location in City Center Bishop Ranch, the Bay Area News Group reports. Co-owner Hiroshi Tun says the restaurant will only use local produce and organic, free-range chicken in its dishes, and the pork belly on its signature tonkotsu comes from Berkshire pigs." - Eve Batey

I have been to both the SF and San Ramon location. If you've been to either you will know what you will be getting. What I like about this place is that they offer Shio and Yuzu flavored broths in pork and chicken variations. I had the salted cucumbers as an appetizer. I'm pretty sure that the cucumbers didn't come slightly pickled. I do think they would be more balanced if they were slightly acidic to be a foil to the fatty ramen. If you aren't full you can order extra noodles.

The service is a little bit slow but the ramen is very good. I ordered the vegetarian ramen and it comes with high quality noodles and decent broth. I might try their yuzu ramen next time. It was not busy on a week day, and I only see one staff member there. Would like to visit again.

Great option to have good quality Ramen. The only issue is their fan system inside, your body and clothes smells food. Hope they can improve the fan system. Ramens are so yummy though 😋

Been here more than several times. Today, I visited on a Tuesday at 12:30p and was able to be seated immediately. I always enjoy their fried chicken cartilage and Tantanmen Ramen. The chicken cartilage is super crunchy and not oily. Usually, they serve it with a Japanese aioli type sauce on the side, but not today, however I did not miss it....more unneeded calories! The ramen noodles are nice & chewy, the broth is flavorful, and there are many ingredients making it almost stew-like. Delicious! Oh, and excellent service always!!

This is one of the three worst Ramen I have ever had. I think they forgot to add salt to the soup. The noodles were too soft and terrible. We couldn't even eat half of it. When I entered the restaurant I was taken to my seat without being greeted. They are boringly accommodating without a smile or a word when it comes time to pay the bill. I will not be coming back again.

Nice location inside City Center Bishop Ranch. We requested for outside seating and it was setup quickly with a heater. We liked all the appetizers we ordered. Renkon chips hit the right flavors. Deep Fried Gyouza is fried to the apt amount and juicy inside, meat was delicious. Takoyaki was melting in the mouth. Portions were okay. Coming to the Ramen, we were disappointed big time. Except Tantanmen there is no other creamy ramen options. Miso Ramen was just miso broth without any additional flavors, chicken was undercooked, too less broth. We didn’t like Yuzu Vegetarian Ramen even, similar stuff, broth wasn’t flavorful, too less broth for the ramen quantity. There is additional broth option on the menu but not at the cost of giving less than required broth in the ordered ramen. Prices are okay for the setting but there is lot of work needed in Ramen department when compared to most ramen joints in Bay Area.

Visited here on Friday around 1:45pm for late lunch. We were seated immediately and we ordered right away. i ordered chicken karaage for appetizer and 2 bowls of hiroshi tonkotsu ramen. This was everything kinda downhill. We had to wait for almost 20 minutes for the ramen. That was after I asked the server because I saw 2 tables who came after us got their food first. The chicken karaage (that was supposed to be an appetizer) came last after I asked another server to check on it. I also had to ask for napkins and water refill. I am disappointed at the service despite the friendliness of the servers. Now the food. I ate at Ramen Hiroshi at Walnut Creek last year and remembered that the ramen was good. Here, I was disappointed at the broth. The broth was flat - lack of umami flavor. However, I still like the firm thin ramen & the sweet chasiu. I had to take out the pickled ginger like last time in Walnut Creek because it tasted weird with the ramen imo. The chicken karaage was good. The skin was crispy but the meat was tender. The portion for the karage was good for the price. Not sure I would come back here in the future but it was a decent bowl of ramen.

Moved to the area a few days ago, and came here for the first time on a Wednesday night on a whim. Found out they do tonkatsu (not tonkotsu as in the broth) only on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. The kurobuta tonkatsu was surprisingly fantastic (pretty much almost as good as one could get back home in Japan). The miso soup was not well-balanced (not enough miso), and the rice was a little dry and had subpar texture (not bouncy), but they probably don’t have enough customers ordering those enough to justify perfecting those. (After all, this place is advertised as a ramen place!) Overall, five stars based on my first visit. Will do another review when I taste their ramen.

Yelp
Really good food. Limited options you can't really customize, but what they have on the menu is great!

Nina X.

Yelp
Ramen was ok, not as hot as I would like and oddly not enough broth either. I ordered the Hiroshi Tonkotsu, broth didn't hit my palette the way I expected. Also wasn't as hot as I wanted. The braised pork belly was quite nice and melted in my mouth, which is a plus. We also got the hatsu (chicken heart), negima (thigh), and bonjuri (tail). All of which tasted under grilled. The kawa (skin was a bit burnt). Service was fine, ambiance is fine. Wasn't too busy on a Friday evening and were seated quickly.

Yelp
I worked in the office this past Thurs 5/23/24. First time to visit BR and was quite impressed. I entered the establishment and waited 8 mins for an acknowledgement - so be it- The owner was the Host, Waiter & Server! K all good but a hostess would be recommended to get the ball rolling IMO. Great Tantan Ramen! Enuf broth than your sister places like Alameda & WC

Robert L.

Yelp
Weather cold and wanted hot soup... tried a quick lunch and the Hiroshi Tonkatsu is definitely satisfying. Service was fast and efficient. Ambience is pleasant and lots of natural lighting.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came here for a weekend lunch with the boo. We had been told how good this place was, so we definitely had to try it ourselves. We were seated instantly. There's a lot of natural lighting with all the windows and high ceilings. We ordered the chicken karaage and the Hiroshi Tonkatsu Ramen. I really like that the chicken karaage had still had the skin on, so each bite was crunchy and juicy at the same time. The ramen hit the spot. It comes with 2 thick cuts of chasu, menma, black mushroom, half an egg, and pickled red ginger. It was a decent portion, and the broth was very flavorful. Will definitely be back to try their other ramen flavors.

Noreen S.

Yelp
What I eat was so delicious! I hadn't had Hourensu (Japanese spinach) in years, so it was a dish I ordered along with my Hiroshi Tonkatsu Ramen, which was so delicious! The service was really fast. I walked in there alone, and instantly, she pointed out any table for me to sit at. This restaurant is very spacious with high tall ceilings and glass windows from floor to ceiling.

Katarina B.

Yelp
I got the Tantanmen Ramen and it was good! The broth was creamy and definitely got a lot of the sesame flavor. If you're craving ramen this is a good spot to check out!

Yelp
I brought my daughter here for lunch on a Friday at 11:30, we were quickly seated by our waiter. The other tables filled up fast. It took awhile for our waiter to return and get our order or to even find out what we wanted to drink. We ordered the Hiroshi Tonkatsu Ramen and the Fried Gyouza to split. Or order took around 15/20 minutes to come out but that was Ok since it gave me time to chat with my daughter. The restaurant is very clean and upscale looking. Perfect for this city center. The Ramen was perfectly cooked in a flavorful broth, we ordered extra mushrooms so it had two huge portions. The bamboo shoots and braised pork belly was spot on. It was definitely enough to share. As for the fried Gyouza, they were very tasty and moist with a great dipping sauce. They had a paper thin crust over over the entire dish. It looked pretty enough but made eating the dumpling kind of strange because you had this huge piece of crust hanging off the sides. Overall it was a great lunch and I'd recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Amazing and unique ramen with amazing service! I sat outside (the outdoor seating is great, by the way) and the waiter was so sweet. He seemed so enthusiastic to be working there and helping us out. I got the summer special cold ramen with pork, per our waiter's suggestion, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've never had cold ramen before, but this was bursting with flavors and texture. The sauce seemed almost sesame-like, and the bit of mustard on the side was like wasabi- it added another level to the flavor. The toppings were great and fresh- I especially liked the bamboo shoots and bean sprouts. The pork was flavorful as well. Food came out at a reasonable pace, and the ambiance overall was great. A little on the pricier side, but that's too be expected from a city center restaurant. Overall, delicious and worthwhile.

Sophie C.

Yelp
Tucked away on the second floor of the City Center, this is such a great spot for ramen. Ample indoor and outdoor seating, and the waiters are all SO kind and seem very educated on the menu. My favorite from here is the Yuzu pork ramen- such a flavorful broth. I was worried it would be sweet, but the Yuzu just adds a light fragrance to the overallflavor. Great spice too, not necessarily spicy but reallyyyy flavorful. I like how it comes with bok choy, extra veggies is always a plus. The noodle texture was perfect, not overcooked. My sister tried the summer special cold ramen, and it was delicious. There was great sesame/soy flavor and a plethora of toppings. Really nice ambiance, paired with great service and big portions. Worth it!

Cindy M.

Yelp
Been a few times. Each time has been decent, but today was one of the best days. A group of us came for lunch and enjoyed the time slipping up the comforting warmth of ramen. Service was great. Everyone ate everything we ordered. Hot tea was nice. Best vegetarian broth I've had.

Ari A.

Yelp
The yakitori is a must here!! The staff is very friendly, amazing place. The man behind the counter in the kitchen is awesome! Will definitely be back regularly!

Dominic V.

Yelp
This location is upstairs in the Bishop Ranch area. There's plenty of parking in the garage and a lot to do in the area. The restaurant is on the smaller side compared to others but it's intimate. Perfect for small groups after a long day to sit, relax and enjoy ramen. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings which was extra crispy. Although with just the salt and pepper seasonings, it tasted a bit bland. I got their Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen and my gf got the Vegetarian Ramen. The broth was good but it wasn't as flavorful. The best part, in my opinion, was the chasui and the egg. There was plenty of meat in the bowl which made up for my low reviews of it. My gf doesn't like chasui, Japanese style pork belly (I apologize for her) so she got the vegetarian ramen instead, and oddly enough, I thought that broth was better. I think this was an average spot that gets the ramen cravings done. Our server was incredibly nice and wasn't too overbearing (I don't like that), but attentive enough to get our things whenever we asked for something.

John M.

Yelp
For San Ramon, is a pretty decent ramen. Unlike many top notch ramen joints where the thick, rich stock stands on its own, the ramen here is really best enjoyed with the chili paste they provide (quite good). The chasiu is thick and substantial, bigger portion of meat than usually found and very good. The noodles are the thinner ramen, good snap, but mine came with a good amount clunked/stuck together. Might be because the portion of soup stock was on the lesser side than I would have liked. The chicken karage was super good though. Fast friendly service, I'd come by again when I want a warming bowl of noodles.

Mellani L.

Yelp
Honestly, I wasn't even a fan of Hiroshi in WC. But the craving for ramen and the lack of options in the area brought us here. I like that it's located in bishop ranch (gives me the opportunity to hit up salt & straw of boba guys haha). I also like that have a couple of booths here. I've said it before and I stand by it when I say, Hiroshi is just okay. It isn't mind blowingly delicious but it gets the job done. The deep fried gyoza is good. Other than that, it's alright. Given that there aren't very many ramen spots in the area, I would say hit this place up.

Herald H.

Yelp
Finally a ramen spot with quick service and seating at an affordable price point. The appetizers all cost under $10 and ramen was no more than $18. Everything tasted amazing and had great flavors. Went here with friends and we left extremely full while our wallets were still happy.

Lyn S.

Yelp
I met my friend here for lunch. The restaurant is located at the City Center on the second floor. Restaurant is clean and good size to accommodate a lot of guests. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered the following: Shoyu Ramen 5/5 - my friend is vegetarian and she enjoyed her Ramen it has a lot of noodles and vegetables. The broth was very tasty. It has bokchoy, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, eggs. Tonkatsu Ramen 5/5 - broth was good I asked for half the noodles which was good. It comes with 2 slices of tonkatsu pork, egg, mushrooms, bamboo shoots. Love this place quick and yummy and price is good. We will be back soon!

DJ G.

Yelp
Excellent service. The Tantanmen ramen and the Karaage were very tasty yet not at all salty.

Kris B.

Yelp
Love this place! By far the BEST ramen we've ever had. So flavorful , delicious broth, and great appetizers. We ordered the Arabiki sausage appetizer along with the Hanetsuki Gyouza. The sausages were so good! Only down side is the mustard sauce on the side was so thick with mustard seeds that the sauce would not cling to the sausages. You almost need a little spoon to accompany so you can spoon it on to the sausages, because dipping does not work. The Gyouza were light and filled with porky goodness. Our friend recommended the signature ramen - Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen. Wow, was it incredible! Two nice slices of pork, half a softboiled egg, veggies, noodles and the lovely broth. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it was perfect on a rainy evening. No Chardonnay on the menu so I had a couple Grapefruit Chu-Hi, a Japanese hard seltzer. Fruity and fizzy, they were a fun alcoholic alternative.

David R.

Yelp
Was very underwhelming for the most part. No issues with service. The food just didn't meet my expectations at all.

Lauren M.

Yelp
Unfortunately was underwhelmed by this ramen. Perhaps we've been quite spoiled having previously lived in SF with so many ramen options but this did not live up to our expectations. I do think the portions were good and the quality of the food was good but for us, the taste didn't hit the mark and not enough broth. The eggs need to be marinated longer as well in our opinion.

Alejandra D.

Yelp
For a Saturday night this place was pretty busy. We got seats at the counter and could watch them prepping the food. Because we had a direct view, I was a little disappointed to see the stacked boxes of pre-packaged ramen on the counter. It comes already portion sized so they just heat up the noodles in water. Made me think of the fresh made udon downstairs at Marugame. I know I know different noodles. They were good but seeing that kinda killed the mood. Also one of the cooks was eating a sandwich in between prepping the food. I get he's gotta eat but give the man a proper break to enjoy his sandwich. It was a little off putting to see him take some bites of his sandwich and then set it down on the counter next to the oven where they keep the pork. Chicken karage: (3/5) they were a beautiful golden color. Just wish they had more flavor and that the pieces were bite sized. They were pretty big pieces like a chicken wing. Tonkotsu ramen: (3.5/5) the broth was flavorful. The chili paste added good smokey flavor. My bowl had 2 pieces of pork, a small pc and a larger pc. I thought oh neat! But upon biting into the large piece, it was just fat! All fat! Which I did not like much. The smaller piece was the pork and it was small. The bamboo shoots were tasty.

Spencer W.

Yelp
Been here several times and was never impressed....the last time I went it was exceptional. As a group we ordered Chicken Karaage, salt and pepper wings, edamame, and we all ordered our own ramen. I had the tantanmen and it was way better than any of the other ramens I've had there. Both chicken dishes came out fresh and HOT. Almost burnt my mouth on both dishes. Some of the better ramen in the area, would recommend giving it a try! The service can be hit or miss....seems like they're pretty short staffed so when it gets busy it can take a while.

Robert G.

Yelp
Went here on a saturday lunch time when it is 95F outside. Hot food on a hot weather, i guess that was a not so good combination. However, the ramen i ordered was really good. The broth was flavorful and the pork was tender and well seasoned. The bowl was 17$ and wished it came in a bigger serving. I guess the price includes the location and ambiance of the restaurant. Restaurant is kept clean. The same goes for the Bathroom.. Servers are courteous and nice. All in all, nice ramen place if you are craving for one.

Kris P.

Yelp
This place is tucked away in the corner on the second floor of City Center. Probably doesn't get much random foot traffic up here, but the place is starting to add more and more eats on the second floor. We visited on a cold late afternoon and made a beeline for the place. Surprised it was quick busy for 3pm on a Friday. Got sat right away though and ordered up a Hiroshi Tonkatsu ramen and some chicken karaage. Karaage came out first. Oh my. By far the best chicken karaage I have ever eaten. Crispy and meaty and flavorful, but not overly oily. It has a dusting of something on it, but man this thing was so ono. I almost wanted to grab a second order. Get this, you won't ragret it. Ramen came out next and was very pleasantly surprised. Broth was flavorful and to me was perfect. Those other ramen joints - you know the super bougy ones, sometimes their broth is too deep. Too much flavor. But I like this style better - the regular mainstream version. Great ingredients and perfect size too. Noodles were perfectly done. Really like this place. Way better than the Udon downstairs. A++

Rebecca H.

Yelp
We come here a lot. When we first started coming, it was just OK, it has gotten better overtime. We usually get the same thing, karage and Ramen. the food is always served well cooked, hot, and pretty quick. We like sitting outside with the dog in nicer weather. it's a solid Ramen place, not extraordinary, but certainly tasty and reasonably priced.

Belinda T.

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place but haven't made it in until recently. My friend raves about this place so I was excited. The person who helped us was super friendly and patient with us. We ordered the hakata gyoza as an appetizer and it wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be. I also go the hiroshi tonkatsu ramen. The portion is larger than most ramen places but the broth isn't as rich and flavorful. It also doesn't tastes like fresh ramen noodles, so the noodles doesn't really pick up much broth flavor. There are tons of toppings in the ramen like half a soft boiled egg, black fungi mushroom, chasu, lotus root, green onions, and pickled radish. The chasu has good flavor especially soaked into the broth. My friend got the Shio ramen and that is her go to when she comes here. Over all to me it's.. ok ramen, it is pricey for the flavor and tastes. There's also a lot more better ramen options closer to south bay.

Gene B.

Yelp
Had the Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen and my date had the Miso Ramen. A personal preference of mine would be having it served much hotter than it was, but happy nonetheless. We also had chicken karaage and was not disappointed! Their staff was friendly and service was on point. I appreciate their quick turnaround as I in a hurry to get back to work. I look forward to return in the near future.

Cherie T.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and we all ordered a bowl of their Hiroshi tonkotsu ramen. I got the straight ramen, while the others got the curly noodles. When the bowl came out it looked good except for the char siu (pork) and that it wasn't piping hot. The pork looked rather old. As I looked closer it looked very dry. When I took a bite it was hard and tasted old and stale. My daughter tried to bite her meat but couldn't because it was too tough and dry. The broth was flavorful but I wish it was hotter (temperature wise). It was a little warmer than room temperature. My kids didn't even have to blow on their noodles. Those who got the curly noodles, it had a strong alkaline smell. Luckily my straight noodles were fine and didn't have that smell. In my husband's video of noodles, he found a plastic wrapper (cling or Saran wrap) in the soup. Told the staff about it and they give him a fresh new bowl. His new bowl was hot! Can see the steam and the pork looked good this time, it was soft and a bit char, and it was soft too!! Overall it wasn't my best experience...I wouldn't mind giving this place a second chance, perhaps just don't go early/when they just opened for business. Instead, go later in the afternoon or evening. Because the earlier it is you probably get the leftover stuff from previous night.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday, during the time of the farmers market, so it is crowded for parking. After roaming the market, me and my boyfriend decided we wanted to sit down and enjoy a meal together. This place is upstairs so it's not as busy as downstairs since most people don't tend to be up here. But it did get busy a little after 12 for the lunch rush. This restaurant is a bit small but can seat quite a crowd. We ordered the: Chicken karaage - very juicy and tender, loved it! Came with huge pieces. Comes out piping hot so be careful! Tantanmen - not super spicy, good level to still enjoy. Creamy delicious broth. Comes with a good amount of noodles and toppings so it will definitely fill you. Yuzu ramen - yuzu flavor wasn't really there. The broth was light. Wasn't our favorite. Next time we would order something different. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Their menu is not too big but not too small either, so there's a good variety for everyone. They have pork, chicken, and vegetarian options.

Dipali S.

Yelp
I'd been looking forward to try this location since it has a vegetarian option (Walnut Creek is closer to me but does not offer vegetarian ramen). I mostly prefer creamy vegetarian broths, but this one was not creamy. However, if you like your broth on the lighter side then this is a flavorful option! I also got some of the spicy paste on the side so I could adjust it to my liking! The service was great and everyone was very attentive, asking us several times along the way if we need anything! It's a great, spacious restaurant to catch up with friends!

Nica Y.

Yelp
I was thrilled they opened near me, as I can only visit their Walnut Creek location. All their ramens are tasty, but their appetizers are also worth a try. I highly recommend the karaage and potstickers!

Bernard C.

Yelp
Great spot at the San Ramon City Center for ramen! The staff and servers are all very friendly and the food is great! I had the tantanmen ramen and takoyaki, and both were amazing. The tantanmen was the perfect amount of creamy and savory while the takoyaki reminded me of the street food I got when I went to Japan. The restaurant itself is also quite nice. It's very clean and has nice seating areas. It also is in the San Ramon City Center, which if you've never been, is a very new, large outdoor plaza with many restaurants, shops, and activities. The city center a good place to spend a couple of hours and Ramen Hitoshi is a great place to grab a bite at.

Aaa T.

Yelp
We had an early dinner here on Sunday. It wasn't too cold so we decided to eat outdoors. Service was fast and they got all of our orders correct. Appetizers weren't very tasty in my opinion. The Lotus Root lacked flavor and I didn't care for the "mayonnaise-like" roe dressing. The chicken karaage wasn't very flavorful either. I had the Tantan ramen and they DO give you a nice quantity of ramen noodles and other items, so along with the appetizers, you will be full. It was tasty, I ate everything in my bowl and also drank all of the soup/broth. I wouldn't make a special trip out here for this restaurant, but if I was here and if I was craving ramen, I might return but would try different appetizers for sure.

Regina A.

Yelp
This place is located at the second floor at Bishop Ranch right next to the movie theater. You can use the escalator to get to this floor. There is outdoor and garage parking. Went here for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon. Wasn't busy at the time and was right before their cutoff before opening again at 5. Wasn't sure if they would let us in still, but they did! The service was nice and the ramen was yummy! The flavor was good and not too salty and I felt there was enough of each ingredient. They also gave a side of red paste to add to the soup if we wanted to add some spice to it. I recommend giving this place a try after you shop around!

Nancy L.

Yelp
Honestly, the ramen here was just okay, lowkey tastes like cup noodles that I can make at home T.T". The only thing that saved the experience for us was the Fried Squid Legs. We tried three ramens, ranked as follows. Price was pretty decent given the location, $15 for each bowl. 1) Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen. Tonkotsu flavor was pretty mild and light. 2) Yuzu Ramen. I requested for thin noodles over the thick ones. The portion of noodles was pretty big compared to other places though. 3) Shio Ramen, lightest flavor of the three. Overall, a huge miss for the ramen but the saving grace were the sides, the squid and the chicken cartilage.

Adri P.

Yelp
I was at the restaurant for lunch, with friends. The service was very fast, friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is simple, nothing fancy, but functional. I am vegan, so I ordered the vegetarian noodles (with no eggs). The portions are very good sized, the presentation is nice. There is some room for improvement on the broth flavor - a bit bland. I'd love to see more options for the growing number of veg customers. Overall a good experience. I plan on going back there, eventually (hoping to find more veg options).

Christine C.

Yelp
I stopped by Ramen Hiroshi on a Saturday afternoon. I am currently on a vegetarian diet so I was excited to see vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the Yuzu vegetarian ramen and it was bright and full of umami. Food came out pretty quickly and the service was very attentive. I've had Ramen Hiroshi as takeout before, but would highly recommend coming in for a quick meal.

Pearl F.

Yelp
Went on a Friday night, place is packed and took a long time, around 10 minutes before the server took our orders and another 20 minutes before they were served. . Tried the Hiroshi Tonkutso Ramen-low sodium and the broth is not that flavorful. Tantanmen ramen is not that spicy .

Christina H.

Yelp
Came here for a bday dinner and the service was great. The server was kind, nice, quick and answered our questions. The food was good but I noticed the noodles a bit different and the taste wasn't the ramen I'm used to from Japan. Regardless, it was good and quick. We ordered tonkatsu Ramen, gyoza, and edamame. The restaurant is spacious and lots of table. Would recommend this place.

Daniel C.

Yelp
Updated review for outdoor dining: The City Center remains a favorite weekend destination for us since there's plenty of outdoor dining and a nice open floor plan for the little one to run around and explore. Ramen Hiroshi has a nice patio for outdoor dining and with the reinforced glass barriers you get a nice view of the lower level. Ramen is definitely better dining in versus Doordash! We normally get: Hanetsuki Gyoza - Dining in is the only way to preserve the structural integrity of the gyoza and get that bonus crispy bits. The filling is very light with minced pork and chives and that dipping sauce has nice acidity and umami. Definitely order as an app and enjoy the presentation. Chicken Karaage - Another must-get dish. Hot, crispy and juicy fried chicken right from the fryer. A squirt of lemon and that chipotle mayo does wonders. Ramen - You can go wrong with either the classic Hiroshi Tonkotsu or the heavier and spicier Tantanmen. Service was good. Ramen Hiroshi has a much shorter wait than Marugame Udon downstairs, which is another huge plus.

Deion D.

Yelp
I hate to do this but this place needs A LOT of work... Everything was just so disappointing.. came on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. Walked in, the workers looked at us and we stood by the door so awkwardly and no one greeted us for soo long??? The workers were chatting it up and laughing in the back. We almost thought it was a seat yourself situation since no one came then someone finally sat us at a table, gave us the menu after we were alrdy looking at one while waiting.. My bf ordered the hiroshi tonkatsu and I got the tonkatsu shoyu ramen. 10 min wait which wasn't too bad. First sip and I already didn't like it.. switched with my bf and the tonkatsu broth was better. The red ginger was overpowering, egg was bland, noodles had a slimey texture, pork was over cooked and flavorless and the broth was just sour.. I would've given them a 3, but our server just dropped off the check when we weren't even done eating yet. Never checked in on us once. Actually I don't think I even heard our servers voice once besides "ready?" to order.. Overall, very subpar ramen and service needs work.

Christina M.

Yelp
I'm a ramen lover so anywhere I see a ramen place then I must try! I've tried Ramen Hitoshi at the Walnut Creek location and it was good so I decided to give this place a try and the ramen was very delicious! The broth was nice and hot and very flavorful with the pork very tender. Service was fast and friendly and got seated right away. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area and wanting some good ramen to fill my tummy.

Yelp
Wanted to grab dinner at the Lots. IG mistake stopping at Hiroshi. You walk in and no one greets you workers are talking in the back and the hostess was taking the order. She saw the line at the door but disregarded the customers. I asked is this self seating she rudely replies no. She should pay attention and have the other coworker help. Horrible service. Then the Hiroshi Ramen that was bad it was so salty that it was bitter. The spicy ramen was salty as hell as well. The chicken karage was decent at least is wasn't dryX. If I could give negative stars I would or zero stars. If you want bad service with horrible ramen then this is the place to go. We are never going here again for sure. The manager owner needs to fire the Friday staff they are not paying attention whatsoever. Lastly not sure about cleanliness it gave us stomach issues after having dinner here.

Yelp
This is located upstairs in the City Center near the Lot. I have tried the Walnut Creek location before but cannot remember what I thought of it so wanted to try the SR location. We ordered the tantan and tonkotsu with thick noodles. They ran out of thick noodles and did not notify us. So I was a little annoyed they made the substitution without contacting me to see if I wanted a different order altogether or cancel that dish. I also ordered these items through their website for pick up. When I came home and tried all the items, I just felt like everything was mediocre. I like the tantan more than the tonkotsu but I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. If you want ramen in the San Ramon area, I think this place does suffice, a little pricey and not quite as good as other places, just okay.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night, it was pretty busy around 6:30pm. We were seated around 7:10pm and the hostess took out order after a few minutes. She was very friendly and attentive to the customers. We orders chicken karaage which came out hot, crispy and juicy! Very delicious, I just want ish they gave more of the mayo sauce which was also yummy. The steamed gyoza was tasty as well, very good but nothing fancy. Now the ramen was delicious, flavors were there and it came out nice and hot. If you like thin ramen noodles this is the place to be. I prefer the thicker noodles but this also hit the spot. I ordered the Hiroshi Tonkatsu Ramen, the broth was rich, and the egg and pork belly made it so satisfying. We will be back again for more.

Yelp
Ok ramen for Tri valley. If you really want ramen but don't want to drive to San Jose or SF, this will do. Sometimes ramen is not hot enough when it comes out. But staff is friendly and good location at the City Center.

Yelp
So happy to have Ramen Hiroshi in our neighborhood as we're HUGE fans of their Walnut Creek location. We arrived for dinner on a weeknight and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. And since we're fans of Ramen Hiroshi, we immediately knew what we wanted to order. We started with the Chicken Karaage and were so happy we did! I just love how super crunchy it is... topped off with fresh lemon juice, it's the perfect appetizer to start with. We each had a bowl of their Tonkatsu Ramen. This huge bowl of tonkatsu broth and noodles was exactly what we needed as it warmed our cold bodies right away. The only minor disappointment is our ramen broth cooled down fast as it was quite cold in the restaurant, plus the broth itself wasn't piping hot. I think this is all personal preference, so I'll be sure to request "piping hot broth" for the ramen :) At the time of this review, Ramen Hiroshi is checking vaccination status and all patrons are required to wear a mask, unless of course, while eating and drinking. The restaurant itself has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
This place served luke warm ramen broth which was so disappointing! Ramen broth should be HOT. I live close by like 10 mins but I drove all the way to Walnut Creek to eat at another Ramen Hiroshi restaurant. That place is nowhere compared to this one in San Ramon. One time they served all fat charsiu which was gross!! No meat whatsoever. It was full slab of pure fat. They didn't know how to trim the fat before cooking and serving to the customers. I liked the gyoza which they cooked it right. The restaurant was clean, nice and spacious. Such a disappointment when the ramen was excellent in Walnut Creek but so bad in San Ramon. They should've maintained the quality and skill of cooking the ramen.
