Sapporo-Style Ramen Restaurant Launching Several Shops in North County | Eater San Diego

"Conveying the famous Sapporo-style miso ramen to San Marcos, I found Ramen Mik centers its menu on the region's signature miso ramen—a style thought to have first appeared in Sapporo's original 'ramen alley' in the 1950s. Veteran restaurateur Noriyuki “Nori” Mori, whose uncle owned a ramen store in Japan, says the broth is made from a mix of pork, chicken and beef bones with vegetables, flavored with imported miso and tare, and the noodles are a variety made especially for miso ramen by Sapporo’s Nishiyama Seimen Co., which has been in business for over 50 years. Besides miso ramen, the menu includes shoyu ramen, a Jidori-chicken version, a meatless option using a vegan chicken from Japan, Japanese curry, fried rice, and appetizers such as takoyaki, homemade pork gyoza, fried squid, and chicken karaage. I was also told another location is coming to 1028 W Valley Pkwy in Escondido this fall, and Mori plans to open at least four or five restaurants in the San Diego area over the next few years." - Candice Woo

Google
What to say...I loooove this place!!! The Ramen is amazing! The soup/broth is a sensory overload. The noodles are perfect never soggy! You can order a side of 'heat' to spice it up if you want! All the servers know what's good if it's your first time and what I love is consistency, it's good everytime! It's cute inside bright and fresh. Try it out! It's a place I will return to on a regular!!!

Google
First off the ramen was great. Zero complaints. Service was rough for it not even being busy maybe like 5 tables. The apps are so so. I'd come back for the ramen though!

Google
Service is courteous, friendly, and welcoming. We came on a Tuesday at lunchtime. My toddler wanted ramen after school so we ordered the Miso Ramen ($16), chicken karaage ($8), and a salmon onigiri ($5). No lunch specials, but they do offer a kids menu. There wasn’t any wait as food came out under 5 minutes. The karaage was very large and mostly breading and fat. The ramen was disappointing in noodle texture and overall portions, with one paper thin slice of charsiu, and had an off putting taste of spoiled vegetables and a rotten egg. I’m currently on day 2 of an upset stomach and Imodium. I had a bathroom emergency while on my drive home after leaving. My little one shared the ramen broth and noodles without the vegetables, but has been pretty flatulent. On the plus side, I was able to try the onigiri later in the evening and enjoyed it without too much trouble. This was not my first visit, but I don’t think I’d return again for ramen.

Wow, I am shocked at how good this place is! This is my new favorite ramen place! When we walked in, the first thing I noticed was how cute it was inside. They have beautiful art murals on every wall. Then our server, Aaliyah, showed us our table. My wife and I have really never been to a ramen place before, so we asked for recommendations. Aaliyah broke down the menu quick and easy for us to understand, and our party of three all ended up ordering the Animal Lovers Ramen. We also ordered a side of fried rice and two sides of Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts came out first and they were HEAVENLY, WOW. If I could eat an entire meal of just Brussel sprouts, I would be so estatic! Our fried rice and then ramen came next. I didnt get to try the fried rice yet, but all of us LOVED our vegan ramen! Im not vegan, but it was delicious! I 100% recommend this restaurant! Our server, Aaliyah, was so nice, too! Even the cooks said goodbye to us as we were the last guests leaving the building for the night. You definitely NEED to try this place!!!!

Google
Tried this after seeing an Instagram post of the ramen and katsu. Very impressed. One of the first ramens I’ve truly enjoyed. Particularly impressed with the delivery method as they put each dish in its own bowl but with separate compartments inside the bowl so you can mix your ingredients once you get them. Over half an hour after our food was prepared, my katsu was still crispy and hot because it wasn’t soggy from sauce. Will be going back to try other ramens and foods that we didn’t see on the online menu.

Google
First adventure to this place! Pleasantly suprised, I ordered the mi so hot. Flavor was off the charts, vegetables were perfection. The pork was so tender, very well balanced. Noodles were cooked perfectly. Spice was not overbearing and broth was amazing. I highly recommend this ramen house. Will definitely be in the rotation! My Waitress Laura was knowledgeable and attentive and food came out super fast and the place was very clean.

Google
Came here for lunch one day with my dad and wowzaa this place surprised us! The tonokatsu was perfectly crispy and juicy, and my dad enjoyed the ginger profile of his ramen. It was so different from your usual pork broth. Definitely would come back ☆

Google
Very nice Japanese food restaurant! I got the Gyudon/Beef Bowl and it was pretty good! It wasn't too busy and the service was fast and friendly. Good vibe with the music and cleanliness of the place, cool art on the wall as well. I feel like the food was worth the cost, you could definitely do worse elsewhere for the same price. Would recommend!

Yelp
If you're craving a soul-warming bowl of ramen in North County San Diego, Ramen Mik is a must-visit. From the moment the steaming bowl lands on the table, you're greeted with an inviting aroma of rich broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The miso broth I ordered was outstanding--deeply savory with a balanced, slightly creamy texture that clings to every strand of noodle. The noodles themselves were springy and perfectly chewy, a true sign of a kitchen that cares about technique. Generous toppings of crisp vegetables, tender slices of pork, and a marinated soft-boiled egg elevated every bite with layers of flavor and texture. Service was quick and friendly, and the modern, casual atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy every slurp. Portion sizes are generous without being overwhelming, and the ingredients taste fresh and thoughtfully prepared.

Yelp
Authentic ramen spot in Escondido, specializing in Hokkaido-style ramen, known for its rich miso-based broth and stir-fried vegetables. The owner, Sachi, was incredibly sweet and our waitress Bella, took the time to explain the menu. I brought my friend Chi, who lived in Yokohama, Japan, for over 25 years to put it to the test. Her verdict? Legit. The broth was flavorful, hearty, and authentic! Sorry ate too fast didn't take the before photo.

Yelp
OMFG Ramen Mik is hella bomb!!! Ordered the Shoyu Ramen and the fried squid legs -- flavor explosion in every bite The broth was rich, savory, and absolutely soul-warming, and those squid legs? Perfectly crispy with the juiciest bite. Joanna, our server, was the absolute sweetest and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this gem if you're in the Escondido area Came straight from an epic Lotus Moon Gathering up in Temecula and this was the perfect way to close the night #FoodieHeaven #EscondidoEats #RamenLove #ShoyuRamen #FriedSquidGoals #LotusMoonVibes #SupportLocal The space is hella cute and I'm going to try the matcha next door next!

Yelp
I heard about this place from Instagram. The food vlogger raved about their ramen here, so I had to try it while I was in the area. We ordered the brussel sprouts, onigiri, katsu curry, and the Me So Delight ramen. The brussel sprouts are deep fried, but it wasn't crispy like I had expected. Flavor is good though. The onigiri was good too. I can't remember which one we got, but it was pretty basic. The katsu curry was delicious. The meat was tender and juicy, and the curry was perfect. It's one of my favorite comfort foods, and it did not disappoint. The ramen was so good. It was probably one of the best I've ever had. The noodles are handmade and had a good bite to them, not overcooked and mushy. The broth was so good, not overly salty. I was sad I couldn't finish my entire bowl. Overall, great food at reasonable prices. Definitely a place to try! Finally, an Instagram review that wasn't just hype!

Yelp
I didn't think there would be a good Japanese restaurant in Escondido but I was wrong. The place is nice but beware when asking for anything extra, we got the bad experience that we noticed the ramen didn't have enough soup so we asked the waitress if they could add more, she didn't know and said she would ask then, a few minutes later she came with more soup and said nothing. To our surprise she charge the extra soup and it was 60% of the price of a full ramen dish, that is unacceptable specially considering she didn't mention that it would cost extra and the price is so high. If you come be careful and ask if anything they bring has an extra cost. We ordered: ME SO DELIGHT RAMEN KATSU CURRY Ginger Pork For the bad experience I reduced a star but the food was good.

Yelp
Ramen is 100000/10! Not just the food but service was also incredible. A must if you live or close by Escondido

Yelp
Delicious ramen joint in Escondido! Finally, I do not have to travel all the way to Convoy for good ramen. Located in the McDonald's shopping center. The restaurant is colorful & casual. They serve a variety of ramen flavors & they have a chicken & vegetarian options too. They also serve other Japanese dishes such as Katsu Curry, Onigiri, Gyudon Bowl (which I am planning to get next time!) & more. BST: My fav ramen! Super flavorful & creamy, & a generous portion too.

Yelp
Very good Japanese ramen spot in Escondido! Our favorites are Me So Hot and Me So Delight Ramen. The noodles, ramen egg and sliced pork were all perfect and good quality. The miso-based soup is rich and flavorful but a little too salty for me. The soup had a bunch of cabbage pieces, but I like cabbage so I didn't mind. The soup and pork didn't smell like pork at all and very easy to eat. They have THE BEST gyoza! (pork dumplings) I like them well-done and crispy outside. So good! I crave their gyoza and want to go there just for gyoza. Karaage fried chicken was overwhelmingly garlicky but tasty otherwise with crispy outside and juicy inside. Nice and fast service. Clean, simple and modern decor. The tables were too close to each other so it's not a place to talk about your secrets. ;)

Yelp
Food: Ramen Mik is a delicious spot to get dinner on a cold today. My friends and I ended up eating here after visiting the Carlsbad flower fields. We both ordered the Miso Ramen with double chasiu which made the soup extra rich. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for something homie. Service: Great service! Very friendly and tentative to customers. Ambiance: Fairly sized space~ crowded during dinner hours.

Yelp
Ramen was decent. Comes with one piece thin pork chashu and egg. I wish the egg was jammy or soft boiled but both of ours were already hard boiled and I even took it out of the ramen as soon as it came (to give to my son). The noodles were nice and chewy. I LOVE extreme/tons of garlic and liked the BST at first but this flavor was overpowering after a while. I didn't like the gyudon. It was just sweet and more so than the beef flavor. (For reference I never liked Yoshinoya here too much but I loved Yoshinoya in Japan.) The geso karaage was delicious and I wish we had 2 orders of it. We tried their other location a while ago and didn't have the best experience (both food and service) so we wanted to give it another chance. Service was friendly here and quick, but not sure we'll be back.

Yelp
Ramen Mik located in Escondido in a shopping center where parking is ample. Customer service was good and food was good as well. Noodles were cooked to perfection and broth was good. I liked the fact if you order the "Me So Hot", the heat factor which is the (spicy bomb) is on the side so you can control how hot you'd like your ramen. We ordered: Me So Hot ramen - DELISH Me So Delight ramen - DELISH Geso Karaage - AMAZING squid legs cooked to perfection with a light crispy coating. Mik's fry - good Onigiri Rice Ball (salmon) - Delish

Yelp
Went here today with friends for lunch. Friendly greeting, seated right away and drinks and appetizers (edamame and 2 orders of pork gyoza) were brought out quickly. I had the Me So Delight, my husband had the Show You ramen and my friends each had the Cock-a-Noodle-Doo ramen. Everything was fresh and tasty! I tried all 3 broths and I liked mine the best. The waitress checked on us often and was very pleasant. Total was $97 (no drinks - 2 Cokes) which was pretty reasonable for all we had. Will definitely return!

Yelp
I've tried their location in San Marcos first, but when they opened this spot, I went to check them out, since it's a bit closer. This location has more options like onigiris! We shared a bowl of ramen, a bunch of onigiris, spam musubi, the tonkatsu/pork cutlet, and an order of gyozas. For drinks, we enjoyed the ramune and bottle matcha. I loved everything we ordered! The food is delicious and authentic. I heard they might be opening up another location down south, so I'll be waiting hehe.

Yelp
Was waiting for my vehicle being serviced at a nearby dealership and decided to grab some lunch. Highly rated on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Impressive decor and very clean/organized. Service was very friendly. All off to a great start. Decided to try a healthier option with Jidori chicken and a warm comforting broth. It was just that and the portion was perfect as well. Attention to detail + attentive and friendly service. If you are looking for ramen in Escondido, I recommend Ramen Mik.

Yelp
The best ramen in Escondido, without a doubt! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Ramen Mik. Katsu Curry as an appetizer, washed down with a Japanese craft beer, and wrapped up with ultra-rich ramen! Great service, chill vibes. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place was great! The service was nice, the waitress was very attentive. The food was hot and full of flavors. The soup base in the ramen was great and the noodles were delicious, very Al dente and perfectly made. The ambiance was nice, we went a bit later at night; the restaurant was clean and quiet. No loud music. It was fun to watch the chefs making the noodles. Overall, I would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Yelp
This your normal, casual ramen place. Seating is available at the bar or at tables of 4. I placed an order to-go and it was ready in less than 15 minutes! Location * Off the 15/78 freeway in the McDonalds / Petco shopping plaza. * Next door to the Matcha Cafe and Teriyaki Bros. Ramen * I tried the "Me so delight" which is their original Hokkaido style miso ramen. The broth seemed to be more than just miso, perhaps their own twist on miso with other ingredients, but it wasn't my favorite.. it's almost like there was sake in it? * The egg is served whole. It would've been great if it were cut in half so it's a little more edible, like how it's cut in half in the menu photos. * They also have a chicken and vegan ramen as well. Other Food. * The Karaage is generous with 4 big pieces and cabbage. It's delicious! * The ginger pork special comes with rice and miso soup. This one is pretty good!! If you like yoshinoya bowls, this almost hits that same spot - with the exception that it's ginger pork vs. the need of course. Salmon onigiri * The seaweed wasn't quite wrapped well around the rice, but the salmon portion is generous. It's really neat to see ramen places pop-up in north county, but if I ever came back I'd probably stick to their hot food.

Yelp
Food is amazing and the service excellent. We had the soft shell crab with a good serving of crab (2 whole crabs) and flavorful noodles and their pho. We came on a Sunday and not aware of the all day Sunday brunch so not everything in their regular menu was being offered. There's still a lot to choose from, though. My favorite...the sea salt foam jasmine tea!!

Yelp
Are you a ramen Lover like Max? If you're looking for authentic Japanese ramen, you gotta try @ramen.mik Ramen Mik is the best for offering the real Sapporo Miso Ramen in San Diego area. The most remarkable point is that they are using the Nishiyama noodle, which is made in Sapporo. Nishiyama noodle is a curly yellow noodle with a stretchy and firm texture and it is a great combination with their miso ramen soup. Their offering soup temperature is perfect, enough warm and comforting! Recommended dishes we tried: Pork Gyoza Brussels sprouts with sweet soy sauce cock-a-noodle do Ramen BST Ramen with Black Garlic oil
google avatar

Brandon Z.

Yelp
Food was ok. Menu options ok. Probably a better lunch option than dinner. Ramen was good, not Menya Ultra or Nishiki good; but it was good. Dining room small and prices were high. This will probably be a better option if Rock-n-Jenny's is packed.

Yelp
Saw a few reviews online about Ramen Mik, mainly the San Marcos location, but we were in the Escondido area and found out they had a location here as well. We decided to give it a try since it's much closer to us. - PARKING - Shares a parking lot with other businesses, so there's plenty of spaces available. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Not a huge restaurant so I'd be wary if you have more than 4 people in your party. Once we ordered, it took less than 10-15 minutes for us to get our food. There were only 2 waitresses working at the time but they were fairly attentive to all tables. - FOOD - Me-So Hot Ramen: We like spicy miso ramen at other restaurants so we decided to give Ramen Mik's a try. We felt like the spice was too overpowering and you couldn't really enjoy the Miso broth. I did like how chewy and al dente the ramen was though. The egg was hard boiled whereas most ramen shops have theirs soft boiled. Chicken Katsu Curry: The Chicken Katsu was nicely fried and pretty juicy. I felt like the curry was a bit underwhelming though - didn't have much flavor. Portion size was decent. - OVERALL - Glad we tried at least once but I think I'll be going to my regular ramen shops still.

Yelp
Our TACO TUESDAY took a left turn into Ramen Mik! After me and hubby ate the PUPUSAS, my hubby had a craving for RAMEN?!? YES: The ramen is delicious! The broth is flavorful!! YES: The service is excellent! Our server was very nice and beautiful!! YES: We ordered the spam musubi, BST ramen and menchi curry rice Togo! It was better than what I expected!! The spam MUSUBI took me to Hawaii! I was in PARADISE for a moment... WOW, I learned my lesson to never judge a book by its cover. Definitely judge it by It's TASTE! I'm so happy and my belly is Happy too! Go Ramen MIK! We love you!!

Sean C.

Yelp
Great service, tasty food, and chill vibes. Portions are slightly smaller than expected so you might want to plan to order an extra dish. Inflation is having everyone charge more for less quantity! Sheesh!

Yelp
I was curious about this place so figured we could check it out. Parking is plentiful and it shared parking within a plaza. We arrived during rush hour (when everyone else was driving home) on a weeknight. There wasn't much patrons besides us and two guys. It was a clean, modern, decorated place. We ordered the chicken karaage, Show You Ramen, and Chicken Katsu Curry with Rice. When the chicken karaage came out, I didn't realize there was a side of mayo with it, and it was hidden on the side with the cabbage. I found out after eating 2-3 pieces and making a comment it was kind of dry that there was sauce to compliment it (husband was like, there is sauce!). The chicken katsu was okay, had a bit of fatty pieces inside the breaded crust. Curry was nice. My husband chose the Show You Ramen, but wasn't a fan of the dish due to the heavy soy sauce taste. We had quick service, place looked very nice and clean, but thought the food was just okay.

Yelp
Good food but not worth the cost. Just so so. There are other better Ramen places in Escondido.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted some yummy ramen while we were visiting family. So we stopped in here. The service was excellent. The server was very friendly and smiling. Our food was so delicious and reminded us of place we like to eat back home in Hawaii. However I was a little sticker shocked to see the prices were the same we also pay in Hawaii. Not all places being back home I felt were Hawaii prices when going out to eat. But this place was just like being back home. I would come here again as I would want to try other ramens that they offered. I got the Black Garlic Ramen, which was super tasty. Hope this place stays successful so we can come back here.

Yelp
My hubby and I came here for the first time to have dinner. We drove by and it smelled really good so we decided to give it a try. We were immediately greeted and sat as soon as we walked in. We ordered shishito peppers, Me So Hot Ramen (spicy pork ramen) and Cock-a-Noodle-Doo Ramen (chicken ramen). We were very pleased with all our food. We ate everything!
google avatar

Erin F.

Yelp
I don't think I'll ever go back to this place. The food is ok, but the service is really not so good. We were hungry and in the area so we stopped in. My husband was grabbing some pet to supplies next door, so I went on to grab us a table and start our order. I sat down at a table for four - there were two of us to eat there, and we were bringing home takeout to our kids. I had just had Major surgery and this was one of my first meals out.. They immediately and rudely tried to move me to a table for two people. I explained that I had just had surgery and asked if we could we just sit in the corner away from the other tables at the table for four. Note: the restaurant was not very busy at this time They said that no we couldn't sit there , so we left.

Cheryl-Ann C.

Yelp
My daughter and I have been to their San Marcos location several times and I've been wanting to try their new location last night (Sat, 6/8). Got there at 7:30pm and not too busy. What's great is if they're not busy, they let you pick a table. My waitress recognized me from the other location so that was great. I ordered the Beef Bowl. If you've eaten at Yoshinoya back in the day and had their beef bowl, it's very similar. It comes with a Miso Soup. Delicious as always. My waitress, Erika (or Erica) kept checking on me. I did order a To Go Curry Rice for my daughter. Menu is very simple which sometimes, that's all you need. One of the things they can't serve at this location is Chicken Teriyaki Bowl as it's right next door to Teriyaki Brothers. That says a lot for this business to honor their request of not selling that item. If you haven't been, give it a try. Bring your friends and family.

Yelp
This ramen spotbisba good find. Overall, the menu is pretty basic, but with 5 of us. We got a pretty wide variety of menu items. The ramen was really good. I got the special ramen with black garlic, it was delicious. My main critique was that they had some sort of garnish in the fries that were seaweed flakes or something that made the flavor a little offputting, as well as tue house sauce they came with. All in all, good good, good service and a cute little ramen spot trying to give a semi authentic feel.
google avatar

Cherish F.

Yelp
The service here is great and the food came out quickly. I really liked my BST ramen and my husband's Me So Hot ramen was too spicy for me but he enjoyed it. The inside is very clean and the wall mural was cool.

Yelp
Pro: Clean tables, quick service Con: Lazy and dirty ramen Was told by a buddy that a ramen place opened up in Esco and just happen to have time to try it out. Oh boy, what a mess. The tonkatsu was just a mess, one little slice of pork I can live with, this Esco, not J town in LA where there are high expectations and competition. But the dirty broth that formed on the edge of the bowl was just completely unacceptable... lazy cooking process without draining out the floaters. The broth also use small chunks of ground pork, it's just a greasy mess. Noodle was over cooked and slightly too firm. This may fly for Esco, but absolutely not anywhere else where people know what good ramen taste like. I would take a 3 day out fridge pulled Shin-Gen-Gumi over the tonkatsu here.

Michael C.

Yelp
Food was very delicious. Good choices on menu and service with a smile. Split the Ramen with a friend along with other dishes.

Yelp
Food: - lots of options to choose from - tasted delicious ! - served aesthetically pleasing - prices were really cheap as well compared to similar food from where i'm from! Service: - only seemed like one waitress at the time & she was super friendly, nice, and hardworking - immediately got seated - food came out pretty quick Ambiance: - really neat and clean establishment - sat at the bar with my partner & it was very comfortable - the place looked really nice overall! Overall: Traveled out of city about 8-10 hour drive out & wanted to try this place with my partner since he loves ramen. My partner and I both agree that the food was good compared to other ramen places we've visited. My partner doesn't eat ramen a lot either but he said the ramen was tasty to him. A great place to visit and worth!

E S.

Yelp
Tasty High-quality Ramen. Good choices of different flavors, including the medium spicey "Me so hot ramen". Food quality was excellent, and quantity was good sized, filling us up after a soccer match. Service was attentive and quick, plenty of drinking water too, so we could re-hydrate without having to nag them. Price was fair.

Yelp
No wait for a ramen place?!?! Sounds weird right?? This place is a hidden gem tucked inside a plaza in Escondido. I can't believe others don't know about this spot! We ordered: -Show you ramen - very authentic and broth was flavorful, noodles are cooked well, meat was tender -Me so hot Ramen - not spicy enough for me but I will get it spicier next time, but everything else was delicious -Takoyaki - one of the best i've ever had and they were big! -Geso karaage + chicken karaage -Pork Gyoza - Home Made Pan Fried Pork Gyoza - YUM!! If you like ramen and hate long lines - GO HERE! Service was A+. Ordering and receiving our food was on-time. Our drinks were refilled when almost empty, and we were checked on regularly. Place is clean, as well as the bathrooms. Will be back soon! SUPPORT LOCAL!!!

Yelp
As a north county local, it's so hard to find a good ramen place. I have been waiting for this spot to open up for the last couple months! Even though the options are limited the options are delicious. Wouldn't compare it to ramen in convoy by any means but it's tasty. I always go for the Me So Hot ramen and my sister always gets the animal lover. I enjoy the Ramen Mik in San Marcos and I enjoy the Ramen Mik here in Esco now too! The place itself is rather small, so it can get pretty busy around dinner time. The service was good- and our waitress was sweet. Overall it's an easy and quick dinner spot if you're craving ramen.

Brianna L.

Yelp
very surprised to find pretty good ramen in escondido! we came during lunch and were seated right away. we tried the bok choy and a show you ramen. both were really good. the bok choy had a great flavor while the ramen noodles had a great texture. the ramen came with an egg and some veggies. the waiters were super attentive and quick!
google avatar

Alexandria W.

Yelp
I got the animal lovers ramen to go with an egg and the service was really fast. I liked how inside they had different baked goods available at the front. My absolute favorite thing about this place was how nicely my to-go order was packaged. The broth was separate from the noodles and toppings so they didn't get soggy and they even packed a ramen spoon.

Yelp
I went to Ramen Mik as they were newly opened, and I was craving some comfort food. I like spicy so I chose the me so hit Ramen. While the flavor was good, I can't say that it was all that spicy. I even added extra chili oil to it and it took quite a bit before the spice level started to hit. The noodles felt just a tad overdone and the add ins were pretty scarce. I'd have to say overall it was good ramen, not the best I've had, but hit the spot. In Escondido there are not many ramen places anyway, so it's worth going to if you get that craving and dont want to drive to San Diego. I think with them being newly opened they could still be working out some kinks, I'll definitely go back and give them another try.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic experience. Great service. Fun, comfortable and clean decor. Excellent food. We started with the brussel sprouts and octopus balls. Everyone enjoyed them- perfectly prepared. We had the veggie ramen, black ramen, and pork cutlet special. All done extremely well. We are not local but my son is - he's putting it on his regular list!

Yelp
The ramen here was okay. I ordered over the phone and picked up. The restaurant was cute. I had the me so hot ramen and it was spicy and the flavor was okay. I enjoyed that they had great to go containers which separated the noodles from the broth. I've had better ramen. There wasn't much meat and the meat itself lacked flavor. I don't think I'd go back since I've had better ramen elsewhere. I prefer harumama and underbelly.

Yelp
Wanted to try this place for a while. Came in on a cold windy day. Perfect ramen weather. The place is cute, but small. This won't accommodate big parties. The menu was very simple and a bit limited. We ordered the Me So Delight (with extra veggies) and BST. We got our food about 15 minutes after ordering. The food....Oh boy, where do I start? You get ONE piece of thinly slice chashu that didn't have much flavor. The egg was pretty much a hard boiled egg vs the usual soft boiled. This totally needed to be marinated longer. The veggies. Sighs. I honestly should have ran as soon as I saw stir fried veggies. Like in the veggies you get in chow mein. I ordered mine with extras and that was still a small portion. My bf 9/10 times finishes his and my broth. Yeah, he didn't want to finish the broth at this place. I guess you can't expect much for the price ($15-$16/bowl). But even with that I felt like it was overpriced for what we got. We'll be sticking with our usual.

Yelp
The broth and the meat had no flavor to it. The egg was really the only redeeming factor, was sweet and not too salty like most places. Also had the karaage and it seemed.. undercooked, very pink..

Yelp
This place has been on my social media feed for awhile but didn't get a chance to try it since I'm not in North County too often. I happened to be in the area recently though and wanted to check it off my list. I always get the Karaage at ramen places and theirs is definitely up there in quality. Hot and crispy, and the marinade definitely comes through in the meat with a pleasant background ginger flavor. I got the BST (Black Shio Tonkotsu I believe it stands for) ramen which seems to be a special that's been ongoing. I didn't have any expectations when I walked in here but man this is one of the best bowls I've had in SD county, probably in my top 3. The broth was flavorful but not too rich, and the mayu oil was a great compliment. Slice of nice thick chashu, and a WHOLE egg, which was nice to see since many places either only give you half or none at all (you have to add it on). The unique part of their ramen is the addition of stir fried veggies (cabbage and carrots) which add a really nice sweet component to offset the salty broth. My server was very friendly and efficient and place itself is small but clean and welcoming. It's in a strip mall so parking is easy and plentiful. Very glad I came here. Will be back for sure.
