13 Spots Ladling Out Truly Satisfying Ramen in Montreal

"Montreal can count itself among the 30 locations worldwide that host its own Misoya Ramen franchise from Japan — and distance from the source doesn’t detract from the flavour. On the contrary, Misoya’s clout and specialization in three types of miso broth make this ramen restaurant a must." - Valerie Silva, Ivy Lerner-Frank

This was the worst ramen I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been to many ramen restaurants, and this one was by far the most disappointing. The chashu was decent, but the broth was overly salty and lacked depth of flavor. The egg wasn’t runny and tasted stale. Even the water had a metallic taste. The shop itself was small and unclean — overall, a very unpleasant experience.

Google
The owner of the restaurant is terrible. The ramen in the photo clearly comes with three pieces of chashu, which is exactly what I ordered. But just because I ordered takeout, the owner only gave me one piece of meat. The ramen shop is run by Chinese people. To be honest, although most Japanese ramen restaurants in Canada are run by Chinese, when it comes to tonkotsu ramen, the majority of them are fairly authentic because they use real pork bones to make the broth. But this particular shop definitely does not use bone-broth soup. I don’t know what they used to imitate tonkotsu broth, but when I put the soup in the fridge and took it out later, it had solidified into a bouncy, jelly-like substance. I used a spoon to dig into it and saw that the inside wasn’t even soup anymore — it looked like some kind of solid made from flour or something else. I was visiting Montreal as a tourist and normally live in another province. In my area, authentic Japanese tonkotsu ramen broth stays liquid when refrigerated. But the ramen I had at this shop didn’t taste like tonkotsu broth at all — the flavor was bad and completely off. In fact, they clearly don’t know how to make proper Japanese ramen and didn’t use pork bones for the soup. The owner just used some spices to fake the flavor. I really suggest people stop going there. With so many other Japanese restaurants nearby, you should try something truly authentic instead.

Google
The restaurant is located in the basement. The place was clean and replicates the ramen shop feel of Japan. The food was good. The service was a little slow. They only had one cook. Parking is in the street.

Google
The ramen here was spectacular, super filling, and so fresh. I had the vegetarian tan tan miso ramen and I will be dreaming of that broth for years! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was quaint, there was even anime on the tv!

Google
I’ve walked past this unassuming little ramen shop for years. When an old friend said they made the best ramen in town I was eager to try. I’m so glad I did!!I had the deluxe gold, and it was one of the best ramen I’ve ever had.

Google
This was my favorite ramen when I was living in Montreal back in the 2018-2020. Now I traveled with my husband and came back again, everything changed!! The service is terrible and the food is not cooking well…. The noodle as you can see in the picture , the noodles clumped together and didn’t cook properly… bad experience!!!

Percival Lavoie (BAG)

Google
Regardless of bring about 40 minutes before closing, the wait wasn't bad, and ramen was spectacular. Genuinely the best bowl I've had in a while. Another review said they'd be dreaming about that bowl and I agree. Affordable and filling, we're coming back for sure, and bringing friends

Google
Been going to this place for the last 4 years it’s been the best since day one. Also!! The broth doesn’t need to be changed, it’s prefect the way it is ! (05/09/2025)

Yelp
One of those ramen places that is tucked underground. Ordered the Gold Kame Special. Miso based noodles with bamboo shoots, egg, potatoes, and charshiu. The misu flavor was right, but towards the end, it was salty. I guess the spices was at the bottom! Service was fast. Relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
Small underground restaurant tucked on the side of the streets. Service is a little slow as there's only one girl waiting on all tables. She was extremely helpful as the menu was largely in French and it did not explain what was included in the ramen. Extra toppings are super cheap! (They're listed as CAD) We ordered: Tonkotsu basic ($12.25) Silver shiro basic ($10) Chicken karaage Don ($7.50) Silver shiro special ($14.50) Toppings price: Onion crisp ($0.50) Corn ($1) Naruto ($1.50) Chashu ($2) Egg ($2) Nori ($1) The broth for the Tonkotsu basic wasn't too heavy and the noodles had a really good texture. They were not stingy with the toppings at all! HUGE PLUS. The Chashu slices were also thick as hell compared to how thin they were back in NYC. They really go all out for you. My friends who ordered the combo loved the Karaage Don a lot. Overall, solid lunch place that doesn't disappoint.

Yelp
It's getting better than before. Deluxe tan tan noodle is the best combo with all my needs. 10/10 for it!

Yelp
3.5/5 A little hidden ramen spot in downtown. I ordered the Gold Kome Special. The broth was nice, it had good flavor and was not bland. The potatoes were definitely something unusual for a ramen but it was a pleasant addition. The noodles were ok and there was a bit too much bean sprouts. The portion was pretty good for the price! Overall, it's a decent ramen for its price
google avatar

Yelp
Super greasy silver ramen! should've checked reviews. Even after informing the waitress of the greasiness, her reply "it's sesame oil they added." Yes, I've cooked foods with sesame myself oil but not to the extent where it's not quite consumable. So, I did NOT eat almost all of my soup. I

Yelp
Staff were nonchalant and service was very slow. It was late at night so maybe they just wanted to go home. The food was okay, but not worth the cost. The interior was clean.

Yelp
Good ramen restaurant. Misoya is often quite crowded, with cramped seating--especially with jackets in the winter. Their staff are very no frills, they simply come to take your order and don't really interact much with you. We got the silver shiro spicy ramen and the gold special ramen. The silver shiro spicy ramen was really salty! But it was still tasty. I'm pretty adverse to salt, so it's hard for me to find ramen places that aren't too salty. I like the thick noodles though, they're nice and chewy. It also wasn't very spicy to me, although I'm used to a lot spicier. The gold special ramen was also quite salty, but still good. The meat was cooked nicely too. I can't say for sure if the ramen was worth it. The price is a little high for what you can get elsewhere, but it's pretty conveniently located.

Yelp
Service was alright. We arrived when it was slow, where it later picked up deeper into our dinner. Once it became busier, it became difficult to acquire any attention from the servers. The food was subpar and made of cheap ingredients. The bun had too much sauce which overwhelmed any other potential for flavour and the ramen bowl was much too salty. I might add that some of the toppings were unusual such as potato wedges and copious amounts of ginger. The broth, like the bun sauce, was very overwhelming due to its saltiness. Any dish in my experience that has broth as a base should be the main event, however this was inedible and left the mouth burning ( not from heat). I did however enjoy the cha siu rice bowl because of its price 6$ and quality of pork. I think I would have rather ordered 5 orders of the cha siu rice bowl and called it a meal, but alas it is a ramen establishment. I give it three stars for the initial service and rice bowl as well as some components of the ramen, but I can not say I would recommend this spot as opposed to closer, better, and cheaper locations around.

Yelp
Great food, staff were quick and friendly, even though we waited a bit to be seated. Eclectic music. Worth the trip. A bit of a cold draft in winter, being in a half basement.

Yelp
*home delivery review* I already wrote a rave review a few months ago.. and for those wondering if the quality is just as good when delivered at home ... IT IS. Ordered the Kome miso for delivery and it was perfect. Generous portions, great packaging, really amazing and worth the wait. Don't let the pandemic stop you from satisfying your ramen craving!!
google avatar

Rob R.

Yelp
I've ordered two Ramens (delivery): Miso Curry and Mugi Deluxe. I've added an extra piece of Miso grilled Cha-shu pork to the Miso Curry and some extra corn and some Miso ground pork (Nikumiso) to the Mugi Deluxe. The Ramens arrived pretty quickly and had the main ingredients separated from the broth to preserve consistency. Both Ramens smelled really good. The broth was thick and flavourful, and the thin ramen noodles had a good, mildly al dente consistency. The Miso Curry broth was mildly spicy, even though it wasn't specified on the dish itself. On the other hand, the eggs were overcooked and unappealing, the pork was dry and hard to chew on, and it was exactly the same deal with the Panko chicken (it felt like the meats were prepared well in advance and were left out to dry). I felt like the overall experience was disappointing and the quality of the Ramen didn't fit the price that was being charged for it. It ended up being more of a chore of finishing it up rather than enjoying the meal itself.

Yelp
3.5 Stars I'm new to the Ramen world. I've been buying the 0.40$ ones forever and never really understood why I should pay more. My friends are big ramen fans though so now I'm exploring! This place is great for Concordia students even if they don't have a student discount. I got the special komemiso ramen which came with the meat and the egg. It was pretty good! A bit too salty but still tasty. The meat was a bit too much fat for my liking. Portions are huge but I think that goes for every ramen place. They have a punch card system. After 5 you get a free drink and at your 10th you get it free. The service is a bit slow but they're very nice and quick to clean up.

Yelp
A few hours in Montreal and we're already looking for ramen. I was just curious to see how they do ramen, north of New York. Their specialty here is a miso based broth. From that, there were three choices: Gold, Silver and Mame. I tried Gold, my daughter got the Silver and my son opted for a Tonkatsu broth. We all had them spicy. I think, mine was the best broth. The miso egg was nicely done; I topped it with some Kim chi and it was good. Chicken kara age with Kim chi was better partnership, though and that kara age was tasting crunchy delicious! The noodles were mediocre, and the ramen had too much bean sprouts. Overall, a pleasant enough ramen experience to welcome us to Montreal.

Yelp
Large servings. A little salty. Flavours not very traditional but adequate. Good if you want to fill yourself up, but don't go looking for high-end Ramen

Yelp
Truly a hole in the wall type of place. It's small so it's usually busy because it's near Concordia. I went on a Saturday night and even then we had to wait about 20 mins. Servers seem a little loopy like their minds are in the clouds. Unfortunately for us we were sitting in the middles the room with the door constantly opening and closing. I was hoping I wasn't going to get sick from the constant draft of cold air coming in. For starters we ordered: Kara-age chicken, Shrimp tempura and tokoyaki We weren't given plates to eat our starters on. Everything was so hot we had to place it on our napkins which was ridiculous! The chicken and shrimps weren't that good. Chicken wasn't crispy, shrimps were okay;it came with a regular tartar sauce. Tokoyaki's were actually good. Main course: 2 Tantan deluxe , Parmesan snow gold bowl (Special of the month I think), Gold kome special. The tantan's were good, Parmesan oddly a good mix and flavourful. The cha-shu was delicious. The gold kome was a little too salty but not bad in taste. Overall, the prices are average, great for students or if you're craving for ramen. Biggest turn off was eating my starters on a napkin!!!! The bathrooms are dirty, it needs a good cleaning but it's kinda expected for a restaurant like this.

Yelp
Easily my favourite spot for ramen in Montreal. I've been going to Misoya since it opened in 2012/13 ish and have been in love ever since. My recent favourite is the Gold Kome Special, including cha-shu, soft boiled egg and potato toppings which are a perfect fit with the miso broth and noodles. The only thing I'd warn newcomers to is the salty nature of most of the items on the menu (which isn't a bad thing in my opinion). Other than that, if you're looking for a hearty, soulful meal, Misoya is the place to go

Yelp
They have a lot of options in terms of flavors for ramen, which at many places isn't likely, this was a definite plus. I ordered the "Miso Tonkotsu Spicy" this ramen was SO spicy. I drank 4 cups of water back to back on top of taking my boyfriends water out of his hands just to chug it. When I tell you this was spicy, I ain't exaggerating. I love spicy, but my mistake was that I left all of the "hot" on the bottom, which I didn't mix around. So yes, as you can probably imagine, I died nearly towards the end and that was when I had no choice but to drink an excessive amount of water. Is it strange that even though this was happening I kept eating it? As if weirdly enough, I still loved it, including the broth. Does anyone else do this who loves spicy food or is it just me? Probably just me. The service wasn't too welcoming. The place is tiny and there isn't much space to wait in, except for 2 or three steps where you're pretty much just standing in until there's a table cleared. No one came to us when the tables were clear either, no hostess, we just went and seated ourselves. I wouldn't come here expecting to eat the best ramen there ever was, but it gets the job done if you're craving it. I will leave you with this, I am not quite sure what they use to make the ramen as far as ingredients. I mean, I enjoyed mine despite me leaving with heartburn. But, my boyfriend on the other hand, did not order spicy flavored ramen and he had a VERY upset stomach afterwards. My tip: proceed with caution.

Yelp
I really liked the tantan ramen. I took the basic one and added some stuff. The place is really small. As I arrived some table were free but I had to wait more than 5 min to be addressed and taken care of. Waiting is fine but at least please show me I am welcome. Anyway..This is the only let down. Otherwise the ramen were the best ever. They are not cheap I paid 18+ dollars for the ramen but it was really worth it. The 2 guys doing the service are friendly.

Yelp
Be careful, this place is well-hidden, it's the basement level, go down 5 stone steps to get to entrance. Went alone for lunch in the middle of the week (Wednesday) and it was nice and quiet. Service is quick and friendly in a small restaurant, with a nice counter. (Where I sat) Noodles a bit thicker than I'm used to, but not thick Udon noodles either. Comforting spicy broth, enough to give your lips a tingle but not burn your mouth. Bowl came in literally 5 minutes, that's what I love about Ramen, it's so simple and quick. Great Ramen! Had the spicy tantan and I loved every bite! Will be returning very soon!

Yelp
When I saw that this place has vegetarian ramen, I immediately came here! The cook and the waitress are Japanese, so I believe it's authentic. I selected the Tantan Miso. My order came out quickly. The Tantan ramen has bamboo, bean sprouts, fried tofu, green scallions, shredded chili pepper. The miso broth is rich and mildly spicy. This was a delicious and satisfying ramen. They have 3 vegetarian options on their menu and I may be tempted to try the 2 other ones as well.

Daniel N.

Yelp
Checked this out because saw it was recommended often on the internet, but wasn't too good overall. Ingredients could be tasted but were noticeably not very fresh. The portion was surprisingly big for the price though.
google avatar

Emil C.

Yelp
Food: I ordered the Kome miso ramen and added an egg. I also had their gyoza. The meal came with a daikon salad. The daikon salad was a nice appetizer and the gyoza was also pretty good. Now for the ramen. It was a pretty decent bowl. The broth wasn't overpowering or too greasy. The flavor was good. The chashu was also not bad, probably the best part of the bowl. The noodles were also not bad. So bottom line, everything about their ramen was not bad. But it wasn't spectacular. Nothing to write home about, but if you need a hot bowl of ramen and you're nearby... why not? You're going to get a decent bowl of ramen here. Service: The service was friendly and great. No problems here. But keep in mind that I came here right when they opened so there wasn't anybody else eating there yet. A couple groups showed up during my meal, but it was never got too busy. Location: Pretty conveniently located near subway and bus stops. I didn't have a car for the weekend, but it was just an easy short walk to the restaurant. If you have a car, you'll probably need to find street parking. The restaurant is located in the basement of the building.

Yelp
Misoya for sure is among my top 3 ramen place in Montreal. If only it has a better location. Upon entering the restaurant, I feel like I'm crawling into a beer's cave, and once you are in the restaurant you are indeed in a bear cave. Obviously I've exaggerated a little bit. However, the ramen makes you forget any discomfort about the place. It's well presented, most importantly the broth is strong. Personally, I like it when the soup is dense and strong because it mix well with the noodle. It's the perfect place for a quick stop when you are craving ramen. The price is pretty standard for a bowl of ramen. They also offer fried shrimp tempura, fried chicken (kara-age), takoyaki, gyoza just to name a few. I had the change to order the kara-age and it was perfectly fried. \ Overall great food and great service. I'm sure I would visit this place much more often if they had a better location.

Yelp
It's been more than a few years since I've been here. I think I had come to check it out shortly after it opened, and I hadn't been back after because I found it too salty. Well everyone deserves a second chance, no? The short of it: it's still too salty. It would be great if they copied what other ramen places do and offer differing levels of salinity, but there isn't. I vaguely recall using the term "salt lick" before, but that's exaggerating; it's definitely on the higher end but still edible. I think the main difference between when it first opened and now is the level of competition across the board is way higher; with everybody at the same price point and within walking distance, your broth game should be on point, and unfortunately it's fallen behind here. With this level of saltiness it absolutely kills any depth of flavour in the broth, which should be the star if the show. Not to mention, the cha su and tofu toppings were *hammered*, i.e. completely over cooked. Kinton, Kazu, Yokato...
google avatar

Vive L.

Yelp
The Tantan Ramen is spicy as hell and I love it. I always add an egg and corn, and you feel super full. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because sometimes I have to ask for water or napkins. Also, it would be nice if there was a better deal with the add-ons because if you add nothing, it's a very basic meal, but if you add more stuff to make it less basic, you can end up spending $20 bucks on a bowl of soup.
google avatar

Youri H.

Yelp
I have a theory that some of the best restaurants in Montreal are in basements. Misoya puts me one step closer to proving that theory. Their ramen is top notch and the service is exceptional. I won't bore you with too many details, but just know that if you order the Gold Kome Cha-Shu, you're guaranteed to leave satisfied.
google avatar

Gigi R.

Yelp
honestly one of the best ramens I've ever had! Their broth is so rich and their pork is so juicy, very worth it and also to add to that, the menu is affordable and staff is super friendly!
google avatar

Molly L.

Yelp
This is the best ramen in all of Montreal! The tan tan vegetarian is to die for, add and egg and you will be in heaven! Service is quick, would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Veronica C.

Yelp
This is one of my favourite ramen restaurants I visited in New York. Found out there is a store in Montreal and finally I could revisit with my husband.

Jason A.

Yelp
Our family of 2 adults and 3 young kids came here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and was happy to be seated right away in the small restaurant. The staff was very nice and accommodating by moving us to a space better suited for our 9 month old. The food arrived quickly and was very flavourful. I ordered the Golden soup base and added some spicy miso with a tea egg. The cha siu was fatty but grilled nicely. My only complaint would be adding the spicy miso ended up making the broth too salty but it really only hit me at the end of the meal. Note that if you are coming with a baby, the entrance is down some stairs so accessibility might be an issue.

Yelp
I've been hearing about this ramen place for a while now from my friends so I thought I'd try it out. Seeing a line at the door seemed like a good sign, must be good ramen! A little disappointed is how I would describe my ramen experience. I've definitely had better ramen elsewhere. To begin, ordering was simple, menu was easy to go through and service was quick. I ordered the shiromiso cha-shu ramen, when it arrived it looked good, well presented, but at closer look, the cha-shu was like 70% fat. Trust me, I appreciate a bit of fat on my cha-shu, but when you take a bite of it and its nothing but fat, its not exactly appetizing. The flavor of the pork is fine, but the amount of fat... I left about half of the cha-shu there and it was all fat. Next, the noodles, they were probably the better part of the ramen, good texture, firm, tender. It was however, masked by a overwhelming amount of bean sprouts. Finally the broth... Shiromiso is supposed to be milder and sweeter... Unfortunately it was much too salty and I could barely taste the natural sweet and creamy flavors of the broth itself. I did hear another customer telling the waiter about the saltiness, from what I understood he suggested to dilute the broth with ??water (I might have heard wrong) but the fact that we'd have to dilute the broth ourselves is a bit of a problem. Taking into consideration the fact that getting a decent bowl of ramen isn't easy in Montreal, I still think they have room to improve.

Yelp
ATMOSPHERE: Misoya is kind of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. When you first enter, it looks kind of run-down and plain. FOOD: I find the food very good. Their karaage was delicious in my opinion. Their spicy ramens are very good as well. On the other hand, their miso ramens are definitely too salty. I had to add water to my broth. However, I was disappointed with their takoyaki. It was lying in a pool of runny sauce and wasn't the best I've had. Overall, I would say that there are better ramen spots in Montreal. PRICE: Prices are decent, pretty much the same prices as any other ramen restaurant. They do have a loyalty card which is a nice touch. SERVICE: The service is good. It's usually the owner of the restaurant who serves me and she is friendly.

Yelp
Great place to get some soup on a cold day. Tucked away in the basement of an old building on Bishop, it's got plenty of tables. While the decor of the place is not super trendy it is functional (there's a lot of room for seating so its rare that you need to wait for a table). The staff is really eager and friendly, and were always around to help us out. I tried the Crunchy Tofu, Karaage and Yasai ramen. The little crunchy fried onion bits with the tofu were great. The Karaage was perfectly cooked, if a little hot when served. The Yasai ramen was very savoury -- the noodles were nice along with the abundant vegetables (mm carrots and cabbage). I'll be coming back on another cold day. :)

Yelp
Great comfort food! This is my 3rd time at this restaurant this month. The soup is just that good! Whether it is spicy or curry flavoured they are all delicious. You can add some protein by adding some pork or chicken but beware it is a lot of food. Ambiance is exactly what you would expect of a restaurant next to a university. Simply tables with all sorts of young adults enjoying piping hot bowls of ramen. Cant wait to try the dumplings next time and share a soup. (don't forget to ask for a frequent eater card because you will be back) https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g155032-d4433642-r350695659-Ramen_Misoya-Montreal_Quebec.html#

Yelp
Delicious, affordable ramen near Concordia. As many have mentioned, the restaurant itself is pretty plain and small, but if you're willing to sit at the bar it goes quite quickly. Now for the food: we tried one gold and one silver, I took the special which has all the good stuff inside. Noodles are nice and bouncy, broth is rich and comforting, but not out of this world. Tofu, cha-shu and egg were perfectly cooked and mixed deliciously in the ramen. We also had the takoyaki which were good. Overall I would certainly go back since I'm always in the area, but I will try different broths until I find the perfect one.

Yelp
Great little ramen shop with super friendly staff! We had a wonderful experience here. We ordered their signature ramen with a couple sides and they're all very too!

Yelp
Great ramen in Montreal. Flavourful broth and perfect noddle texture. Ordered Tantan ramen and Komemiso Cha-Su Ramen. Tantan ramen is too heavy and thick, I would order Komemiso Cha-Su Ramen next time. www.bornandbraised.ca

Yelp
Since when did mane have bean sprout in them? This place used to be the best place in town for ramen (a year ago) but now with all the new openings, mislay is losing its charm. The broth, during both my visit, was too salty to my liking (I've tried the tonkotsu and the curry) but the noodles were nice and chewy. However, we did see Antonio Park eating here during one of our visits so it mustn't be that bad if the famous chef from Park restaurant eats here. Overall, its cheap and tastes not bad but not somewhere you go out of your way to try.

Yelp
This is my favorite ramen spot in downtown. Is it salty? Yea its a bit too salty but I think im just used to it since I eat so much instant ramen. Im not a fan of creamy rich ramen like Kinton offers. I always take the komemiso special. My favorite part about this place is that the ramen comes with alot of toppings without you having to pay extra. Its by far the best bang for your buck ramen in downtown.

Yelp
Honestly I think this is one of the best Ramen places I've been to. I've been to quite a few and I keep coming back to this one specifically. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
The tasty is very salted, it is not suit me. A little disappoint. Will try some different next time

Yelp
The ramen at this place hits the spot. We stumbled upon this place looking for something to eat at around 3 pm on a Saturday. I was surprised that the place was still fairly busy during off hours. I ordered the cha-Su ramen. It was one of the best Japanese ramen noodles I have ever tasted in my life. The broth was rich and flavorful. The noodles were chewy (just the way I like my noodles), and not too soggy. The pork was cooked to perfection. They were nice and thick. There were also two potato wedges, which was an interesting touch, but it was great! Overall this little ramen place is amazing. I did not expect to get such good ramen in Montreal. It blew my expectations out of the water. The ramen are legitimately comparable to the ramen bowls that I had in Japan.

Yelp
Best ramen in montreal. Service & Menu has improved recently. The noodles are unbeatable, the broth is so tasty !

Yelp
I really like this place because the ramen is always huge and satisfying. It is pricey for a regular ramen ($15-$20), but you're getting a big portion. It's in a convenient part of town and my friends and I always get the ramen to go and go sit at the parks by Peel, or if we're studying at the Concordia library. The only downside for me was that the majority of their ramen is in a pork-based broth as opposed to miso or chicken, and I don't eat pork products, so I was limited to the vegetarian option. Another thing is that the restaurant decor isn't exactly great or new, so keep that in mind if you're thinking of bringing people here for some kind of MTL-Asian fusion experience. There's kinto ramen down the street that looks a little more upscale.

Yelp
The Ramen broth is a bit too salty and not very palatable after a few spoonfuls. The noodles are of the right texture. I would add the karaage (fried chicken), spicy miso broth and egg topping to any of their ramen dishes for a very complete bowl of ramen. The spicy miso broth is incredibly spicy but it masks the salty, otherwise very miso-y broth that comes with all the ramens. Skip the fried tofu topping - they only lightly fry the tofu and it stays soft inside. The fries topping is good. I had the vegetable ramen (because I don't eat pork and the other ramen specifically mentioned a pork broth). My friend had the Tan-Tan Ramen which was very spicy but delicious and another had the Chicken Ramen - the chicken pieces were delicious! My husband and I weren't big fans of the two vegetable Ramen dishes that we got mostly because the broth wasn't great and the components in the ramen were very boring and bland. No real flavor or imagination there.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and welcoming when we came on Christmas Eve and most places were closed. We both really enjoyed our ramen. My boyfriend got the gold cha-shu and I got the silver one. Super filling, warm and delicious.

Yelp
This is a pretty hole in the wall type of restaurant but am so glad I found it. I got the ramen with Japanese fried chicken and I am still dreaming about that chicken. The broth was a bit salty but I think that is to be expected. I loved being able to add a lot of things to my ramen and it was very memorable. My boyfriend and I love to try new ramen places, and this is definitely at the top.

Yelp
The soup ramen is salty but the noodles are firm and chewy. The staff are friendly. Clean place. Their food a lil bit pricey.

Yelp
I don't eat ramen very often, so I can't compare this place to others. Misoya is small and underground, but nonetheless when I came at 14h30 on a Saturday, all but one tables were filled. I ordered the spicy Kyoto style ramen, and it was quite good. The broth was smooth with a bit of sweetness. There was a substantial dollop of spicy miso on top of the noodles, so you don't have to make the soup super spicy if you don't want to - just don't mix in all the miso. I am taking a star off because it's hard to impossible to eat vegetarian here, and I don't think they're very flexible with their menu choices. I asked to substitute Naruto for cha-shu in a dish, and they said no. Apparently, Naruto is reserved for only one of their dishes.

Yelp
Mushroom ramen is he best in Montreal! A lot of spices which gives special flavourful taste.
