Compared to the Palo Alto location, the Nagi Ramen at Valley Fair feels a bit more cramped inside. However, the good thing is that the line forms indoors within the mall, so you don't have to deal with standing outside in the sun, wind, or rain.
The flavors stick to Nagi's signature style, a rich, salty broth. I still stick with my usual order: the Original King, no green onions, but with an extra noodle option. The taste is definitely solid. That said, the long lines can be a real deterrent, especially since you can't grab a number and wander off; you have to physically stay in line the whole time.
I personally recommend showing up about 30 minutes before they open, or half an hour before closing, to minimize the wait. And definitely don't miss out on their house-made seasoned bean sprouts, they are seriously delicious! As for other menu items like fried chicken or gyoza, honestly, you can skip them. They're not really worth the extra money.
Focusing purely on the ramen itself, which is something Japanese restaurants take very seriously, I would strongly recommend ramen lovers to come line up and give it a try. With its reasonable pricing and flavorful bowls, I think it's well worth the wait.
