Ramen and Izakaya Combo Prepping for Kearny Mesa, Pacific Beach, and Hillcrest - Eater San Diego

"Ramen Ryoma is under construction on University Avenue in Hillcrest and is slated to open next year. The 2,800-square-foot restaurant will feature a second floor loft and bar pouring 10 beers on tap and a variety of sake. The Kearny Mesa location will open in August at 9119 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, with operating hours from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ramen Ryoma’s menu will combine house signature ramen and small plates found at a Japanese izakaya. Specializing in Sapporo-style miso ramen, based on a long-simmered pork bone broth mixed with a miso base, it will serve hand-massaged temomi noodles. A Pacific Beach location is also scheduled for a November debut at 825 Garnet Avenue." - Candice Woo

Friendly and attentive service. Came on Saturday for lunch. We didn't have to wait long for the chasu rice and ramen orders. Only a little longer for the volcano sushi order. But it was all within reasonable timing. Food was good and we enjoyed our time there.

Google
“Greeted” by a self check-in iPad on a rickety stand. Appetizer and one entree came out before drinks, then followed by second entree. Not sure why they want to rush people along. Veggie ramen looked nice, but could use more flavor and less salt.

Nat Kam

Google
Food was great and the service was excellent. Also dog friendly indoor seating was a bonus. The garlic edamame was my favorite. So much flavor. Don't mind the half eaten photos. 🙈 It's a good sign - too good to wait 😉

Google
First time dining and the food was such a nice pick-me-up. I ordered the regular ramen with shoyu broth (the light soy broth). The broth was so comforting, the noodles were delightful, and even the pork was incredibly tasty (I don’t usually eat pork). Highly recommended for a nice calm time with a friend. It was unfortunate that my eyes were bigger than my stomach 😅🤣

Google
Appetizers were good but the ramen was just ok but it did satisfy what I needed that night (bowl of hot soup with noodles).

Google
Food was great and so is the atmosphere. Good music and nice ambient. The food tastes fresh and has good flavor. I ordered sushi and appreciate getting fresh sliced ginger.

Google
Overall pretty solid, the pork chashu is one of the better ones I have had in the US, tender, good balance of fat and lean, the rice in the bowl was a bit dry, good sauce. The sushi rolls were big, perfect sushi rice, fresh ingredients but the sauce on the G Spot Roll was way too strong. Finally the Ramen, the noodles are perfect, right level of chew and the thickness that I like, but the soup base is very strange. My miso broth didn't taste like miso, but just a thick pork bone soup, I tried the spicy version, basically taste the same with some spices. I was also disappointed with the egg, yellow yolk? Using the US Ramen standard, this is not bad. It just reminded us that this is not LA. The service was super fast, 2 waitresses, 2 floors and bar counter, everything came up in 10 mins. There is a good alcohol selection as well.

Google
Waited over 20 minutes and never got our order taken. The two tables next to us got seated immediately and got their orders taken. Even said something to the waiter and he never came back. Don’t come here if you are young. They will discriminate you.

Yelp
I've been here twice now. The first time I sat downstairs and the second time I sat upstairs at the bar. Very chill vibes and great music playing. The service is always good and everything you order comes out quickly. Now this isn't the best ramen I've ever had but it's delicious and consistent. They also have great appetizers and I finally tried the sushi and was not disappointed. Worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood!

Yelp
We won't be back. For $30 plus tip, we expected more from this ramen. I like that they're open late, as I got off of work late this night. We did to go, but quality shouldn't suffer at all. To start, the broth seemed to be water and miso paste, very salty. The pork was tender, but had a large amount of fat. The noodles weren't good, they needed to be cooked longer. The worst part was the egg. It wasn't jammy at all. Actually, it was almost hard boiled. The center of the egg could've been used to make egg salad, it was that overcooked. Normally ramen eggs are jammy and soft, almost runny. The outside of the egg had dents in it, seemed it was overcooked and someone had trouble removing the shell. I asked if chili oil was available, they said it would be a $5 charge to get enough for both ramen. The menu is large, I don't mind spending money, but it's annoying when they nickel and dime you over small items. The restaurant is large and bright, I don't imagine that you'll ever have to wait here at any time of day. We won't be back. Menya Ultra and Hinotez are way better than this spot. The best part of the ramen were the bean sprouts. I didn't enjoy the food at all, I cooked myself some dumplings from my freezer right after this. Good luck finding parking.

Yelp
Only ramen shop open really late at night so my friend and I decided to stop by. I thought the prices seemed really good until the food came out. The portions sizes are really small. The fact that I finished my ramen and had no leftovers never happens. Started with some Spicy Garlic Edamame and a Tiger Roll. Edamame was fine, but not spicy at all. The tiger roll was horrible. There was no flavor to it whatsoever other than the eel sauce as it was drenched in it making it incredibly sweet tasting. Tiger roll is normally my favorite sushi roll to get, so this was very disappointing. I let the server know after we had already paid (so I obviously wasn't asking for it to be comped) and she couldn't care less with the look and attitude she gave me. I got the Miso Chashu Ramen with an egg. The best part about the ramen was the chashu for sure. It had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The broth was the worst part of the ramen. If you had told me it was just water, I would've believed it with how it tasted. Thankfully we got some sriracha to add in or I wouldn't have enjoyed it. Not worth coming here even when it's the only place open.

Yelp
I've been here many times before but friday was the first time I actually enjoyed coming here. The vibe just hit different. The edamame were extra flavorful and delicious! There was no wait time and food came out quickly. The volcano roll was delicious & they provided plenty of extra lemons for my ramen

Yelp
My friend and I visited this cute little ramen shop after a night out in Gaslamp. We were craving salty broth and she recommended Ramen Ryoma. We arrived around noon on a Sunday morning. There was no street parking near the establishment?? We circled around the nearby streets but found nothing. Diagonal from the restaurant, there was this vacant lot that we saw a few cars parked, so we tried our luck over there. I don't recommend parking here because 1) it's very tight, 2) we were boxed in to our spot after lunch and had major difficulties leaving :( However, the restaurant was not busy, and we were sat immediately. We had plenty of time to look over the menu. Service was friendly as he checked on us twice throughout our meal. I ordered the deluxe bowl with the shoyu base. It was salty and flavorful - exactly what we needed that morning. The pork was very tender, and an appropriate amount of noodles were provided. The egg was also soft, and I wish it was cut in half (not a big deal).

Yelp
I had a wonderful sushi dinner on the send floor on Sunday evening. They carefully prepared the fresh ingredients. Attentive service and great vibe!

Yelp
Overall I was disappointed by the ramen and the service. The server made us wait a long time between each time he would visit us and the restaurant was not full. The ramen didn't have much flavor and I'm sorry to say that one had packaged ramen that had more flavor. The pork had a lot of fat and the noodles were not cooked enough. I expected more. Perhaps the sushi is better?

Yelp
We've been wanting to try here because our brother's name is Ryoma! We came in with no real expectation but so glad we finally tried it! Everything we got came out quickly and was delicious. THE BAKED MUSSELS were the one! メチャクチャ美味しかった! def recommend :) We didn't try any ramen this time but plan to come again to try that and more of the menu. Super cute vibe in there and everyone working there looked so cool.

Yelp
This place has been bookmarked for me to try. I didn't know it was my brother, Tony's, go-to spot since we had dinner gathering here for his birthday. He personally knows the waitress and owner. I thought it was super nice, personable, and very intimate for the owner and waitress to purchase bottles for my brother's birthday. You don't see that kind of hospitality nowadays anymore. The waitress and owner were both very catering and went above and beyond for our reservation. We had our own table at the 2nd floor. My family and I only tried the killer spice ramen and we loved it. I know it has quite of bit of spice to it but we love spicy and asked for more so the waitress brought out sriracha and chili oil which was the prefect touch. I saw a lotttt of menu items I wanted to try so I will definitely be back to try some of their carpaccios and sushi items along with their delicious ramen. The only thing I didn't like was the sticky floors. Other than that everything else was amazing.

Yelp
Have been meaning to try this place for some time and finally checked it out last weekend. Was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and nearly had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Friendly and attentive service. I went with the Mayu Tamago ramen and got spicy chili oil on the side for an extra $0.75 because I like the extra kick. Came out beautifully served. The miso broth was nice and garlicky and not overly salty. The noodles were delicious and ended up finishing the whole thing pretty quickly. I didn't think the chili oil really added much spice and maybe the spicy ramen might be worth next time but I like the garlic in the Mayu Tomago. Would recommend this place.

Yelp
I am surprised I have not filled out a review for this place yet. Although I am a huge fan of a place in Mission Hills (I still consider it Hillcrest) I love this place! Of course the only thing that bites about coming here is the parking. It's street parking- not a problem at night though. Easy to park at the B of A lot around the corner. The venue is 2 floors with the kitchen on the first floor. The sushi bar is on the 2nd loft area. They always pump out great music at night. The best thing about this spot is the late hours weekends til 2am! Midnights on weekdays. The food - is all fresh & tasty. I go usually for the weekend menu - that' has the Ajii sashimi & salmon collar. The Ramen of course is their jewel. Many varieties & add ons available. I especially (_) Enjoy! The beer selection on tap. Plus you cannot beat a flight of beer for 12 dollars. Most of all, I staff makes me feel welcomed like going to your friends house but better beer. I cannot spell all their names but they all are soo kind.

Yelp
Looking for Good Night Eats? Well Ramen Ryoma is the place to go! My Bff and I were looking for somewhere to keep us warm from San Diego "Summer" nights. Found this place, and was so lucky we got there before the late night rush. The best thing about Ramen Ryoma? The prices & quality of food! Worst: parking and waiting in line because this is a hottt spot for late night eats (only the worst if you're impatient and hungry) We ordered the Mini Chasu Bowl ( absolutely loved it! Even if it was the mini version, it was the best I've ever eaten! Will come back specifically for this.) Deluxe Ramen- it was good but not the best. Will probably try another ramen next time I go. And the G spot sushi roll - really bomb but warning the sauce is saucy. So it can get messy. The staff was amazing by the way and very attentive. Given that it was a Friday night we went. The vibe was pretty chill.

Yelp
Place was clean and spacious with seating outdoors indoors with a bar and downstairs and upstairs tables. Service was fast upon entering we were seated right away because place was kinda empty on a Sunday afternoon, we were greeted in Japanese, our server was helpful with her recommendations but she was really soft spoken so a little hard to hear. Food was - well 1st I have to point out menu was extensive so that's good to have many options to consider, I was temped by what said spring rolls which ended up being fried egg rolls (1st eh) Also ordered an appetizer of chicken karaage basically the only choice of chicken in whole menu (2nd eh) Ramen was not craft - I mean the broth we went with Miso broth for spicy ramen and spicy umami which really was spicy but not the good tasty kind of spice, this was like powder spice the kind that lingers in your throat and doesn't let you breathe right. Broth was heavy in belly lard and left you with grease lips after first sip. It's probably a good spot to fill the craving or warm soup but not to fulfill for a tasty rich in flavor bowl of ramen. Sorry I really thought it would be better. (3rd and last eh)

Yelp
We came here on a late Saturday night and i love that check-in was a breeze.. we must have waited only 15 minutes. Nice little outdoor seating available as well, although it was chilly so we sat at the bar on the second floor. Our server was friendly and helpful. The menu had a nice variety of Ramen, which includes a GF option for the noodles, and a vegan broth. They also have bowls, appetizers, tempura, etc. I ordered the Shio Ramen, it was def a lighter clear broth... it was not salty which i like. Nice medium size bowl. The chasu meat was actually very good. I love that they are open late... we will def try other items on the menu next time. Right in the heart of Hillcrest area

Yelp
We wandered around roughly around 7PM on a Saturday trying to figure out where to eat. This establishment caught our eye and we were fortunate enough to have a group of 7 seated right away. There were quite a bit of patrons and more waiting in line. Loved the decor, especially the Samaurai in the back end of the restaurant. The servers were great, and the ramen was awesome. I ordered the spicy ramen and added an egg. Very spicy and delicious! I will return!
google avatar

Kianna J.

Yelp
The pork chausu bowl is the best here. Its super simple. Just meat, rice, and some green onions on top, but it is super flavorful and delicious. I like to get the larger portion, just so that I can have some leftover to eat later!

Yelp
Ramen Ryoma has to be one of my all-time favorite restaurants in SD. The ramen is just the right amount of "heaviness" and so flavorful. The only downside is that the ramen egg is closer to hard boiled, but I'd still choose this place at the end of the day. The kaarage here is very large and juicy, they even sell it by a minimum of 2 pieces because of its size. The food always comes out really fast and the servers are attentive. I also love that they're open til very late so if you're ever in the mood for a hardy late night meal, this is the place for you. The restaurant itself looks very nice from outside and it's two stories. Lots of space so there's usually little to no wait. Parking is a little tough because it's Hillcrest, so if you're lucky you might find street parking by Better Buzz or you can park in the BoA parking lot when it's closed.
google avatar

Yelp
We were super lucky that when we got there the wait was only five minutes. It was really fast and we got a table upstairs, the service was nice but I do sort of wish our server would check in a little bit more. The place itself was clean and efficient and everyone that we would talk to had a great customer service. The only downside here is that I do wish you can make a reservation, but you can only do that if you have more than seven people. Now to the things that matter the food, I loved loved loved the Ramen. I think it is such a great price for what it is and it is so filling i even gave the person I was with some and had a little left over. I got the spicy Ramen that had two flames and honestly it could've had a little bit more spice but the flavor was great. We also had a roll that was a weekend special and I don't think I would go back there for sushi. The appetizers I tried were the muscles and the Gyoza, the Gyoza wear a no for me but the muscles were absolutely amazing!! I think with the price and how the food taste people should definitely give this place a shot, I'll be going back to try even more Ramen.
google avatar

Kenneth A.

Yelp
First impression is this place a nice Vibe. Broth was hot and yummy. We tried miso and should, both the spicy version. Over all solid ramen. The baked mussels I feel won our meal as best part. Ankimo was decent but could.have eased up on the sauces so not to cover the flavor so much. This place is cool and music is nice. Service is good but not to many smiles. Lol as you know I love places where the staff smile and vibe!

Yelp
Terrible Experience at Ramen Ryoma - Avoid at All Costs I visited Ramen Ryoma with my best friend on 7/13/2024 at 12:07am, and it was a complete disaster. We had just finished a grueling 12-hour shift as nurses at the nearby hospital, dedicating our day to saving lives. We came to this restaurant hoping for some comfort food, but what we encountered was utterly shocking and appalling. Sitting by the bar, we had a clear view of the kitchen, and what we saw left us horrified. One of the kitchen staff members was handling food with his bare hands, dipping into the batter, and then wiping his hands with a dirty towel. This same towel was being used to wipe the bar counter, chopping board, and knife. Throughout our time there, we never saw this staff member wash his hands even once. He touched various surfaces, his nose, and his face, and continued using the same dirty towel to wipe down the kitchen utensils and every part of the kitchen. When our order finally came, we were so disgusted by what we had witnessed that we couldn't even bring ourselves to eat the food. We left the restaurant still hungry and deeply disappointed. Ramen Ryoma may be open late to cater to workers or those out late, but the hygiene standards are appalling. We spend our days trying to save lives, and coming here felt like we were risking our health. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place unless you want to end up sick. NEGATIVE- ZERO STAR!!!

Yelp
First time here was a great experience for a late night eat , I love that they're open late . They play good music and the people are very welcoming and happy to help . We were sat quickly on the second floor. After ordering our food came out quickly . I love trying new places and this is definitely one I will be coming back too .
google avatar

Yelp
There's lots of competition for good ramen around here and this is some of the best! We got the spicy ramen that had so much green onion and the nice thick ramen noodles, as well as a delicious chashu rice bowl and karaag chicken. So many options for sushi and sides too that I'm excited to try next time!
google avatar

Isamar F.

Yelp
The environment was very nice. We sat at the bar upstairs. Our salmon loves lemon roll arrived in like 2 minutes, which gave us the impression it was not freshly made. The jalapeño poppers were okay. The spicy umami ramen wasn't even spicy-- I had to add chili oil to it to give it heat. However, the broth had good flavor. Total was around $70 + tip for 2 ramens, jalapeño poppers, salmon love lemon roll, and 2 16oz beers.

Matt T.

Yelp
Me and my wife went to try out a new ramen place ( Big RakiRaki guy) and this place was great. Food was amazing and flavorful variety of noodles and broths to pick from. Service was great. Restaurant was nice. Overall great experience. Would definitely recommend trying this place out!

Yelp
My bf and I decided to try a new ramen spot tonight so we came here. It's open late which is a plus! We were seated within 5 minutes. We enjoyed the overall ambiance, music, and vibe. The staff was very friendly and attentive. However, parking is limited and you have to park in the neighborhood. This place is right next door to better buzz! Now onto the food! We really like the wide array of options on the menu. We ordered the lava salmon sashimi, chicken karaage, miso ramen, shoyu ramen, and the sparkling sake. The appetizers and sparkling sake were delicious, definitely recommend. As for the ramen, the miso and shoyu broths were tasty, but I'm not a fan of thick noodles in my ramen. Also, my noodles were hard so I didn't finish mine. I probably wouldn't come back for the ramen, but I would definitely like to try more of the sushi items!
google avatar

Yelp
Favorite Ramen in SD so far. Always order the vegan ramen and it is delicious and full of flavor, no complaints at all. Get with with the bok choy instead of the brussel sprouts. More of a limited menu but everything tried so far was good.

Yelp
We needed a place that was open late and had vegan options. So happy that we found this place! The vegetable ramen was creamy and delicious! Great service and cool ambiance.

Yelp
A coworker of mine recommended this place for a late night dinner. I gave it a shot the same exact day with my girlfriend . My coworker told me a bit about it, so I was expecting a few things and it actually exceeded expectations by far. Food is great, ambience is awesome especially for a late night spot, and the service was great as well. We got a couple rolls as well as Ramen, nigiri and their original Karaage is amazing and a must try, but the pieces are big so be careful how much you order. This is definitely my new late-night spot. They stay open till 2 AM on the weekends!

Yelp
The food is awesome; the vegan ramen is bomb, and the lava salmon is really good. Came here for lunch, the service is A plus and the ambiance is chill

Yelp
Okay. So they're open super late, they have amazing friendly staff and fast service. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Order literally everything on the menu except the ramen. Their chicken kaarage is amazing! Everything about this place is great except the ramen. It's like cup noodles crappy we can never finish even half our bowl. Besides that it's a great late night spot.

Yelp
Gorgeous location! Small menu, but everything on it was great! The service was fast and everyone working is very nice.

Yelp
We came late so parking seemed pretty easy. Overall good experience they have so much food options here. The ramen was pretty good. The staff was super nice I couldn't remember name I think it was kiana but she was super nice and pleasant. She was jogging to get our food out faster to us. Overall place is super nice I was shocked. Must try!!!!

Yelp
Our group of 4 dropped into Ramen Ryoma around 5 on a Saturday and were happy to find that there was no wait--though the restaurant was definitely starting to fill up by the time we left. Service was super friendly and quick throughout our meal. Our table got some karaage to start with the original garlic sauce, a miso deluxe with gluten free noodles, a normal miso deluxe, a miso spicy, and a shio deluxe. They were a hit across the board. The karaage was amazing, came out piping hot and super crispy. It was flavorful in and of itself, but dipped into the garlic sauce, it was a showstopper. I had the shio deluxe because I'm just such a sucker for a soft boiled egg in my ramen, and charsiu might just be the way to my heart. The charsiu was amazing, perfectly tender with a strong pork flavor. The egg was a touch over cooked for my ideal, but definitely still tasty. The broth was solid; not my absolute favorite but good and made much better by the white pepper and togarashi(?) in the shakers at the table. The ramen noodles though--oh boy. Delectable. Exquisite. The best I've had since Tokyo. They were so perfectly chewy and had enough heft to stand up to everything else on the bowl rather than just serving as the backdrop. I have dreams about them still. Everyone else loved their ramen as well, and my boyfriend who has a gluten intolerance was absolutely thrilled to find that he could actually enjoy a bowl of ramen! He said the noodles were not quite ramen, but had a little more chew than your standard rice noodle. He was a fan for sure. We unfortunately did not have room for dessert after scarfing down the big ole bowl of noodles (I was uncomfortably full for hours but honestly, it was worth it) so I guess we'll just have to come back to try them! The one tiny tiny ding against Ryoma is that parking can definitely be difficult around this area. We lucked out and found a spot just around the corner, but University/Hillcrest on a weekend can be rough.

Yelp
Ordered the killer spicy ramen and the g-spot roll. Ramen had a good spice but the broth was ok. The g-spot roll was not very good, it was covered in sauce and was mushy.
google avatar

Yelp
Ever wondered where the worst tasting Ramen is located? You don't need to look any further cause I found it for you. Not only are they closed for lunch except weekends it makes it all the more convenient to avoid. They don't even have an online menu for Hillcrest so have to go in person to see what is available. Service was good in the beginning but then was non existent, took 20 minutes to get my the check. The broth in the in the Mayu Tamgo wasn't very good and overly salty. The large noodles didn't go well with it either. Just yuck all around. What was delicious was the lava salmon with black salt. Not sure I would return as that Ramen left a nasty aftertaste in mouth long after eating.

Yelp
I've dined here twice, and I really enjoy the food here! My first time, I got their Killer Spicy Ramen and added extra noodles to share with my boyfriend. They cooked the noodles perfectly and the soup was flavored with a lot of spices and tasted wonderful. We also got the Jalapeno Poppers which are also a great appetizer! The second time, we got the Killer Spicy Ramen and Jalapeno Poppers again. We added the extra noodles and also ordered a Philadelphia Roll. One of my fave rolls that was nice to eat in between the bites of ramen. As for the spice, the Killer ramen is supposed to be the spiciest one out of all the ramen served here, however, it is still enjoyable which is why I like it here. The ramen this time and last time tasted the same so they are pretty consistent with their menu. I also tried this sparkling alcoholic yuzu drink they had on one of their signs. It was all in Japanese but it was delicious. I would try it if it's still offered!

Yelp
I was in the area and I was craving some ramen. This place when you walk inside is very beautiful with its two-story building and thought it was unique. The moment you walk inside, you get greeted by the staff. I thought it was cute. - Deluxe Ramen w Shio Broth I have never been the biggest fan of ramen, mostly because I never found good ramen, but this was the good ramen here. The broth was clean and delicious yet simple and the chasu is soft and melts in your mouth. Very comforting and delicious ramen. Chicken Karaage giant pieces of chicken in my opinion, it was good and the spicy mayo that I ordered went really well with it. it was very filling since it was huge. Matcha Mont Blanc I only ate one bite of this because I was full but my boyfriend devoured the whole thing and was saying how it was so good and not too sweet and I thought it was good too!! - Overall, this place is affordable and fantastic. I was surprised by the cheap prices of ramen yet it is so high quality. I would totally recommend this place to anyone who is in the area and is craving some excellent and comforting ramen!

Yelp
Love this ramen spot! Found it like 2 years ago after late night studying with a friend, and I've been coming back ever since. The ramen is always so savory and great. My partner loves the Corn Butter Ramen, and we always split a Chicken Karaage order. Love that they're open late!

John S.

Yelp
Checked in and took 20 min after it said our table was ready for someone to help us. Then the ramen was faster to get to us before the raw food. My friend literally finished his ramen and it still didn't come out. They charged me extra for the same amount of fish just changing scallop for salmon. The food was only ok. Don't go here.

Yelp
Good ramen! We got it delivered and it was still hot and delicious! They are open pretty late too which is awesome. We got the Deluxe Ramen with Miso!

Yelp
WTF. I've supported this business since they opened and ordered to-go and dined in multiple times. I get off work and I order for pick up..... at 8:57pm. I get here and it's 9:18pm and my order isn't finished yet - not only that cause I'm waiting here.....I asked if I could dine in. The girl in the front was really nice but the owner or whoever the hell was running the front said no I couldn't change it to dine in? Seriously? I was going to tip regardless but not anymore. You lost a loyal customer.....bunch of weirdos

Yelp
Cool spot, good food, average experience. Came here for my first time on a Saturday night around 11:30pm. I was impressed walking in! Definitely a cool spot. Japanese-industrial styled restaurant, 2 levels. I didn't get to see how the loft looked but I'm sure it's nice. We ordered 2 Spicy Umami Ramens with extra chase and a tamago, 1 Philadelphia Roll, 1 G-Spot Roll, 1 Garlic Edamame, 1 Salmon Rice Bowl, 1 Chase Bowl, and 1 order of Gyoza. The food was pretty good, the rolls are sweet. Tip/Advice: Ask for Wasabi upon ordering because it's not included with the rolls. Check your Tamago and make sure the yolk is not fully boiled or cooked inside--mine was fully cooked and it changed the flavor of my ramen dramatically that I couldn't enjoy afterwards. *** When we came in, our server already looked like she was done for the night. We didn't get much of a greeting, we were just brought to a table. We ordered and the food came about 15 minutes later. We enjoyed our food but I was trying to flag down our server the entire time. No lie, she would not come our way, didn't make eye contact, or just walked by. I legit raised my hand and waved and no one was looking over. Finally, after about 20 minutes, my husband was finally able to wave her over to get wasabi and a coke. I can understand how it can be difficult to gauge when to come to a table... but sheesh, to not check on your table for that long and we can't get up to get our own stuff, so I was a bit frustrated with our server. We paid and left shortly after that. It's a place worth trying... the food is good. If I'm in the area and craving ramen, maybe I'll try it again... I just hope I get a better serving experience.

Yelp
The restaurant itself it really pretty, but the ramen wasn't all that. The fried chicken was nice and juicy. The muscles had waaaayy too much mayo. Overall the food was very underwhelming. Probably won't be dining here again.

Yelp
came in super late around 1am and there was barely a wait. they estimated 15min but it was around 5min. the staff was very attentive and friendly. they have a lot of yummy options on the menu, it was so hard to narrow it down. the food came out so quick and it was delicious. i expected the spicy ramen to be a bit more spicy but it was very tasty overall.

Yelp
Service was great, food was even better! Chicken karaage and chasu bowl are highly recommended! Also their ramen is very flavorful compared to other places in the area

Yelp
Our first time yesterday to this well known Japanese restaurant. We nearly left after arriving because of the horrible loud music but they agreed to turn it down considerably. Service and food excellent with moderate prices. Good range of drinks too. We'll come again some time.

Yelp
I wanted to try a new ramen place so this one popped up on my Yelp and wasn't too far away from home. This one is street parking only. I called my order on the phone for pickup and it was ready once I got there. What I ordered: -Miso deluxe ramen with extra pork chashu- 7/10. I like how they use thick ramen noodle, the pork chashu was tender, broth was decent ,alittle salty. -Takoyaki 2/10. I would not order this again. The sauce was overwhelming and drenched. Half the container was literally sauce... a quick drizzle on top of the takoyaki would of been fine. I've never seen anyone serve takoyaki this way before lol. Overall, pretty decent ramen spot. They had some other interesting ramen that I'll be trying out next time!
